  Lockpicking skill improved to Level 9!

  Entering the bathroom, she sees a zombie crawling to her trying to bite her leg. She jumps up with her survival knife and stabs the zombie in the head killing it. In her disappointment, there is nothing in the bathroom. She leaves the bathroom and heads back to the bedroom where she spots a desk. She unlocks it with her lockpick.

  Picked up a Pistol Clip. Pistol Ammo: 101

  There is a bookcase blocking the door leading to the library where the ivy plant is said to be. Sabrina tries to move the bookcase, but it proves to be too heavy to move. She sees a set of red books that have pictures on the spine. Each picture has a water background like an ocean. Most have a picture of what appears to be a woman or at least the different parts of her body from leg to face.

  She decides to fix the order of the books so that the picture of the woman shows as it should. After taking a couple of minutes to unscramble the books, it turns out to be a picture of a naked woman laying on a rock on the ocean. She spots the bookcase covering the door move to the right and the door becomes uncovered.

  She preps her Grenade Launcher with the Flame Rounds in order to take on the ivy plant. As she enters the library, she spots the ivy and it attempts to smack her with one of its tentacles.

  Boss: Ivy

  The ivy is a ceiling creature that has grown from a Venus flytrap that was fed the Raven Hawk virus. It has many tentacles the it uses to grab its victim, this makes up the fact that it’s stationary. The Raven Hawk virus has rearranged its DNA to make it a poisonous creature and as a result its saliva is venomous to the touch.

  Press “A” and “B” to duck… Well Done!

  She ducks under the tentacle successfully. She gets up and begins to attack the ivy with a few flame rounds. A few of the tentacles fall from the plant after catching on fire.

  Flame Rounds: 9

  The ivy spits poison towards Sabrina and she is able to get out of the way easily. When she gets out of the way, she attempts to shoot the monster but it smacks her from the other side by surprise. She falls to the ground and recovers quickly while taking minimal damage.

  The monster attempts to grab Sabrina again.

  Press “A” and “B” to dodge… Too Slow!

  The ivy grabs her and swings her around for a few second before dropping her. Sabrina falls hard on the ground and gets up slowly taking a decent amount of damage.

  Condition: Caution (Level 2)

  She shoots the ivy with a couple of flame rounds and it weakens a little more. However, she notices that she’s hurt badly and her reaction speed is lower.

  Flame Rounds: 7

  The ivy attempts to smack her again and she doesn’t even have the reaction speed to even dodge. The ivy smacks her to the wall near the fireplace.

  Condition: Danger

  Realizing she is in danger of dying, she rolls just in time before the ivy uses one of its tentacles to smack the floor where she was laying. Barely getting up, she sees the ivy ready to spray poison at her. She is able to run and dive as the ivy misses its poison spit attack. She decides to use her first aid spray that she saved.

  Sabrina uses First Aid Spray.

  Condition: Fine

  After healing herself, she shoots the ivy again a few more times and more of its tentacles fall off.

  Flame Rounds: 4

  She sees the ivy is ready to strike again and she’s able to dodge the first attack, but the ivy strikes her with the backstroke dealing decent damage.

  Condition: Caution (Level 1)

  She doesn’t get up fast and the ivy spits its poison on Sabrina. This time the toxic substance lands on her and she is poisoned.

  Condition: Poison

  Getting up slowly, she runs around the room with the little energy she has while the ivy keeps trying to knock her down. When she gets to the door to try and escape the door is locked. Realizing that she has no way to escape, she decides to shoot her last four flame rounds at the creature.

  After shooting her last four rounds, she sees the ivy begin to wither away and its heart begins to retract towards the ceiling. Sabrina breathes a sigh of relief as she believes she has finally defeated the ivy.

  “Finally…” She says while catching her breath.

  However, to her shock the plant begins to come back to life as its heart is still alive. The creature comes back to life and a weakened Sabrina can’t believe it. The ivy grabs her despite her best efforts to get out of the way. The ivy begins to bring her close to its mouth ready to devour her in whole.

  “This can’t be it. Thomas, Barry, somebody help!!!” She screams on top of her lungs.

  “Sabrina! Is that you in there? What’s going on?” Thomas asks.

  “I’m in serious trouble, this plant is ready to eat me and make me its next tasty meal!” She answers trying to get him into the room.

  Thomas breaks through the door and enters the room with a flamethrower. He sees the ivy plant and is in shock.

  “What the hell is this thing?” He screams.

  “Thomas!” She screams toward him.

  The ivy grabs Thomas and attempts to devour him as well.

  “Take this! Aghhh…” He screams while he shoots off the flamethrower towards the heart of the ivy.

  The flames hit the heart and the heart catches on fire and bursts killing the ivy. The hearts busts and the purple blood that the ivy had in its system spreads all over the room. Both Sabrina and Thomas hit the floor.

  “You saved me! Again!” She happily says.

  “Yeah…” He replies happily.

  “That was too close, thanks Thomas.” She continues to thank him.

  “Don’t mention it… What a monster. I can’t believe it, what the hell is this place anyway?” He screams.

  “You’re asking that now?” She asks.

  “Ok, I’m going to stay here in the guardhouse and take a look around. However, I’m sure there are still unexplored rooms in that other mansion as well. Anyway, let’s start searching separately.” He says.

  “Ok, sounds good.” She replies.

  She sees something shiny coming from the unused fireplace.

  Picked up a Mansion Key.

  Sabrina CHECKS the key and turns it around. She sees a symbol of a Helmet. The key opens all doors that have a Helmet etched on the doorknob.

  With Thomas checking the guardhouse, she decides to head back to the mansion. After being saved by Thomas, she begins to feel a little better about his loyalty to her. She feels a bit dizzy and a bit weak.

  Sabrina uses the Super Herb.

  Condition: Fine

  She leaves the gallery and hears a gunshot in the hallway. When she rushes to where it’s coming from, she sees it’s Barry shooting a bee that was attacking him.

  “Barry?” She says his name in shock.

  “Oh Sabrina, you’re still alive I see…” He says in shock as well.

  “That’s what I was going to say! Where are on Earth have you been? You just disappeared from the hall.” She replies.

  “I’m sorry, but I have my reasons. Perhaps you guys have met them already. It was all I could do to protect myself from those strange creatures.” He answers in a low tone.

  “Is that so? Anyway, it’s good to see that you’re safe.” She replies happily.

  “Listen Sabrina, our first priority is to make sure we get out of here.” He says.

  “Yes, you’re absolutely right.” She answers.

  “Now there are a lot of rooms in that mansion that we can’t get into because they’re locked. I’ve been looking around, but I need you to go back to the other house.” He says in a low tone.

  “Ok, I found a key for the mansion. I’ll see what I can find when I go back.” She says showing him the key.

  “Would you do that? I’m counting on you to find an escape route.” He says before heading into the gallery.

  With the Helmet Key, she can now open some of the doors that she was unable to open before. She wonders what other secrets will be revealed when she heads back to the mansion.

  Chapter 9

  The red double door is still boarded up with wood, so she knows that room is off-limits. She leaves the guardhouse and begins to make her way to the mansion. As she gets to the vine-filled path that led to the guardhouse, her radio goes off again.

  “Hey this is Brad, if anyone can hear me please let me know. Make a noise or send a signal, anything!” Brad over the radio screams.

  “Brad! Brad can you hear me?” She gets no answer. “Oh darn it this radio is broken, what a waste!” She says frustrated.

  Pulling out her shotgun, she prepares to take on the dogs that she ran away from before. The dogs spot her and run towards her, but a prepared Sabrina is able to kill both dogs easily.

  Shotgun Shells: 21

  She heads to the elevator to see where it leads to, but it’s not working as it needs a fuse on the breaker box the powers it up. She decides to mark it in her head as an item that she needs to look out for in the mansion. Heading back to the elevator where she came from before, she runs as fast as she can as the snakes begin to pop out from the bushes.

  When she gets to the ladder, she jumps down before any of the snakes are able to bite. Climbing up the ladder, she returns to the main courtyard area as she makes her way back to the garden shed. What Sabrina doesn’t know is that as she reenters the mansion there is a new monster making it’s way into the mansion. It sneaks into the hallway that leads to the east staircase.

  Sabrina is in that hallway and hears the gate leading to the courtyard open. She sees the new monster. It’s a lizard like creature that’s able to stand on two feet and has long claws along with an ugly iguana face.

  The creature is code named Lizarda and it also has great agility. The creature wall jumps and slashes Sabrina easily. She takes a decent amount of damage.

  Condition: Caution (Level 1)

  Pulling out her shotgun, she shoots the Lizarda. The creature jumps out of the way and prepares to pounce on her again.

  Press “A” and “B” to dodge… Good!

  She’s able to roll out of the way and the Lizarda ends up getting its claws stuck on the hardwood. Seeing the creature stuck in place, she shoots it with her shotgun and it goes down. However, the creature gets back up and rushes toward her. This time though she’s prepared and shoots the creature again. Once it goes down it continues to move and Sabrina shoots it again. The creature screams in pain before it dies and bleeds out red blood to Sabrina’s surprise, who was expecting another color.

  Shotgun Ammo: 18

  Once the Lizarda is dead, she sees a door with the emblem of the Clark family. She uses the Helmet Key to open the door and enters the room of Matthew Clark who is the founder of the Hybrid Corporation. When she enters the room, the room is too dark to see anything.

  She sees a Tiffany styled lamp and turns it on. The room illuminates with a bright yellow light. A bookshelf, desk, and a picture of the mansion are revealed. The room is rather small, but filled with many expensive items.

  She sees a locked desk that she’s able to unlock.

  Picked up +7 Shotgun Shells. Shotgun Ammo: 25

  Lockpicking skill improved to Level 10!

  After getting the additional shotgun shells, she sees a book that seems to be out of place from all the medical and botany books that are on the shelf. She decides to take a look at it.

  Picked up a Blue Book.

  Sabrina CHECKS the book, it has a strange title reading “Eagle of East Wolf of West.”

  She opens the book and finds that there are no pages. Instead there is a hole that is holding a medal.

  Picked up an Eagle Medal. It’s carved in a perfect circle. What could it be for?

  She sees a picture of the mansion when it was first built. The back of the picture says…

  The Clark Family Mansion. Circa 1942 – Matthew Clark

  The picture doesn’t lead to anymore clues, so she puts it back down. She leaves the room and decides to try to unlock the door that she was unable to unlock before upstairs. She heads to the east staircase only to be surprised by another Lizarda that attempts to ambush her.

  The Lizarda by a miracle misses her and she tries to shoot it only to miss it again. The Lizarda then climbs up using the railing for the stairs and gets on top of the railing. It jumps on top of Sabrina and attempts to slash her on the floor.

  Press “A” repeatedly to fight off… Well done!

  She uses her shotgun to block the claw attack and uses her knee to kick it in the groin. After breaking out of the Lizarda’s clutches, she gets up and kills the creature with three shotgun blasts.

  Shotgun Ammo: 22

  She catches her breath as she hears another Lizarda above her. Considering she has no healing items, she has to be careful not to take too much damage before she finds another health item. Heading up the stairs, she sees the Lizarda ready to jump from the 2nd floor to where she is on the stairs. She is able to shoot the Lizarda and runs towards the creature.

  She takes a risk to conserve ammo and runs towards the creature. Pulling out her survival knife, she stabs the creature in the neck area repeatedly. After killing the lizard, she heads to the end of the hall.

  When she gets to the door, she sees it has double locks with the top one giving her trouble. After taking a minute to find the right pin to unlock the top lock, she concentrates on the bottom lock. The bottom lock turns out to be easier to unlock and she is able to unlock the door.

  When she enters the room, she sees a fireplace. Using the lighter to turn on the fireplace, a picture begins to appear above the fireplace. It turns out to be a map of the 2nd floor of the mansion. It proves to be rather useful to see what rooms haven’t been explored yet. There is a red door that she uses the Helmet Key to unlock the door. She sees a rather big open room with another fireplace that is much bigger along with a grand piano.

  The room looks like a party room that was probably used for parties or gatherings. When she heads to the piano, something comes out of the fireplace. It turns out to be Yawn, the big snake that she had to fight in the attic.

  Boss: Yawn (Act 2)

  She pulls out her grenade launcher with the acid rounds loaded and begins to shoot them at Yawn. The snake opens its mouth and prepares to attack Sabrina. She is unable to dodge the attack and takes some damage. However, the bite does not prove to be venomous. Perhaps it lost its toxic properties after the first battle.

  Acid Rounds: 8

  She continues to run from Yawn and prepares to shoot the snake even more.

  Acid Rounds: 6

  The snake weakens more, but still does not go. The snake prepares a sneak attack and goes for a quick bite.

  Press “A” and “B” to dodge… Too Slow!

  The snake gets a good bite off her and she takes a decent amount of damage. The only saving grace is that the snake has lost its toxic attributes, so she isn’t poisoned.

  Condition: Caution (Level 2)

  Despite not being poisoned, she’s still injured. The snake tries to attack her again, but she gets out of the way and it ends up hitting the piano. She shoots the snake with more acid round and it goes down after being weakened. The head of the snake falls on the floor and it falls on a weak part of the floor.

  Acid Rounds: 2

  The floor breaks up revealing a secret area below. Before she can explore though, Thomas comes in as the snake begins to bleed away.

  “Sabrina, have you found anything yet?” He asks as he walks to her.

  “Yes, but I can’t see very well.” She answers.

  “How about going down by yourself and investigating? I have a rope here in case anything happens.” He asks.

  “Oh do you? Then I’ll try going down using the rope.” She replies ready to go down.

  “Wait…” He says as he drops the rope into the hole.

  She heads down the rope into the secret hole, but the rope falls down.

  “Hey! What’s going on?” She asks angrily.

  “Now I’ve done it. Wait for me Sabrina, I’ll go and get another rope.” He says as he runs to get another rope.

  Sabrina sees a tombstone and a switch underneath. Pressing the switch moves the tombstone back and reveals a ladder leading down. She wants to see what is downstairs, but Thomas promised her that he would return. Standing there, she tries to figure out whether she should stay or go ahead without Thomas.

  What should Sabrina do?

  1. Wait for Thomas

  2. Head down the ladder

  You have chosen Option 1.

  She decides to wait a few minutes for Thomas to come back and within 5 minutes the door opens.

  “Sabrina! Are you down there?” He asks.

  “Yes I am!” She answers.

  He lowers the rope to her and she climbs up the rope back to the room.

  “Sorry Sabrina…” He says.

  “I didn’t think that… was going to happen.” She replies.

  “Sorry… I was really careless.” He replies.

  “Are you ok Thomas? Maybe you’re getting tired.” She asks concerned.

  “No I’m ok, trust me.” He says and continues, “Hey Sabrina, I found something, check this out.” He hands her a piece of paper.

  Pass Number

  “Pass No. 8108310. It’s used to open the door leading to the grand library hallway from the west hallway.”

  “Great! I’ll take this then.” She thanks Thomas.

  Thomas nods his head and heads out of the room. Sabrina is faced with another decision…

  What should Sabrina do?

  1. Head to the Grand Library.

  2. Head down the ladder in the hole.

  You have chosen Option 2.

  She uses the rope to go back into the hole and heads down the ladder. When she gets down from the ladder, she finds herself in what looks like the basement. The smell is rather rotten, giving the impression that she is in the back hall of the kitchen. However, as she finds out the rotten smell is coming from the milky huge spiders that have been infected by the Raven Hawk Virus.
