The two turn back and reenter the hallway where a couple of froggers are waiting for the duo. One of them licks Maria, but luckily it causes ho harm to her. Angel shoots one of the frogs killing it and tries to shoot the other one, but the other frogger jumps to the ceiling.
The jumping frog freaks Maria out to the point where she hides in a corner. The frogger uses its tongue to grab Angel and tries to swallow him in whole, but he lobs a grenade in its mouth with the grenade launcher. After a few seconds the frog explodes into pieces and the force of the blast pushes him towards Maria.
Maria says, “Wow that was scary! I’ll be having nightmares about frogs for a long time!”
“Not only frogs, but spiders as well!”
Maria responds hysterically, “No, are you kidding? I want to get out of here!
Angel in a consoling tone says, “We’re getting outta here soon. As long as you stay with me, nothing is going to happen to you.”
The two head into the autopsy room which is full of dead bodies. She freaks out after seeing the dead bodies and he reassures her that everything is ok. He heads to the counter where he finds a keycard to the weapon storage room, when a metal plate falls. Once again she is scared out of her mind, but nothing comes out of the counter.
When he begins to walk out the of the autopsy room the dead bodies come alive. It turns out that the dead bodies are zombies’ playing dead, she is scared out of her pants. One of the zombies grabs her until Angel shoots it in the head killing it.
Angel screams, “It’s too dangerous to stay in here we gotta make a run for it!”
The two of them run out of the door running from the zombies and towards the weapon storage room. At the same time several zombies break through the door, giving chase to the two.
Angel says in disbelief, “Son of a bitch! These guys just don’t give up, hurry up lets get into the storage room!”
The two of them enter the weapon storage room where Angel gather’s some more ammunition. He comes right back out to kill off the zombies that were chasing him and Maria. She finds the keycard to the twelfth floor and gives it to Angel. The two of them begin to make their way to the twelfth floor until Maria sees Mr. Z behind her and begins to panic.
“Angel, look behind you!”
Angel screams in response, “Run!”
The two run up to the first floor to get away from Mr. Z. Luckily for the two, Mr. Z does not see them. The two of them go up to the second floor through the creepy hallway where he met Mr. Z for the first time. As they walk down a hand pops out of the vent in the ceiling and grabs Maria by the mouth.
Angel says, “Isn’t it creepy Maria that they never used this floor since it opened back in 18… Maria do you even hear me? Maria?”
He looks behind him and realizes that she isn’t with him anymore. He looks inside the vent to see if he could spot her, but doesn’t see her. He screams out Maria’s name, but receives no response. Angel fears that Mr. Z has captured her or a creature far worse than Mr. Z has captured her. Angel knows he has to get to the 12th floor as fast as he could, as Maria’s life depends on it.
Chapter 5
He loses Maria once again, this time to an unknown force who grabbed her from the 2nd floor ceiling vent. He realizes that he has to get over it and keep moving. He goes towards the 12th floor, but along the way the hospital begins to crumble around him and creatures attack him from random directions. The random attacks begin at the sixth floor where a group of zombies block the stairway going up and if that isn’t bad enough a couple of the spiders that Angel had to deal with before are on the sixth floor as well.
He blasts the zombies with his shotgun, but then gets tackled by the by the spiders from behind. He crashes into the wall, but is able to get up rather quickly. He avoids the poison spit by the spiders. The spit contains so much acid that it burns a hole on the wall where he crashed towards. He wastes no time and lobs a grenade towards the spiders blowing both of them up.
Angel blows on the grenade launcher and says, “That’s how it’s done suckers!”
He heads up to the 7th floor and remembers that’s where Harrison is. He goes to check on his condition and see if he could assist him in getting out of the hospital. However, when he arrives at the seventh floor, Harrison looks pale, almost pinkish.
Harrison looks up and begins to make the sound of a zombie, which indicates he has turned into one. Harrison approaches him wanting to grab and bite Angel. Angel tries to talk some sense to Harrison, but it’s no use as Harrison is unable to think for himself anymore. So he has the hard task of having to shoot and kill Harrison, his buddy when he used to go to the hospital. He heads to Harrison’s corpse and he hugs it one last time, then apologizing for having to kill him.
Angel cries, “Harrison you were like a brother to me, we always used to joke around. I’m going to miss you buddy! This whole place is probably infected with these freaks of nature! My god this hospital is going down and it’s probably even worse back home. Is this what hell is?”
He begins to think what he’ll do when he breaks out, where will he go? If the virus spreads throughout the city then he’s safe nowhere. He sees himself having to survive on his own if he has to, even if that means not having a roof on top of his head. Long story short, he’s prepared to go into survival mode if the situation calls for it.
Angel goes straight for the twelfth floor, but he gets cut off at the eleventh floor. There are no stairs leading to the twelfth floor, he is now convinced that there was a great secret hiding in the 12th floor. He walks to the 11th floor hallway. However, he finds that the floor is nothing but a Victorian Era style library. He asks himself what’s a library of this magnitude doing in this hospital and why is it so quiet.
He approaches a door that is locked but a message to the side says. “To gain access to the promise land you must arrange the book shelves in the pattern as shown by the image to the right most bookshelf.”
He heads to the right most bookshelf, but he is unable to fit through the small opening to see the pattern needed to arrange the bookshelves. He heads upstairs to look for answers, until he falls through a weak part of the floor and falls through going down. He sees the pattern that he needs to arrange the bookshelves to open the door.
He sees a switch which moves the right most bookshelf left so he could get through. Angel follows the pattern which goes as follows: 1- Left, 2- Right, 3-Left, 4- Right. The bookshelves are moved electrically by pressing the switches which moves them right or left depending on what is chosen. After the correct pattern is been achieved, the door opens by itself. He slowly proceeds towards the door until Mr. Z pops out from one of the bookshelves.
Angel screams as he’s a bit shocked, “Son of a bitch, I knew we would meet again!”
He begins to shoot Mr. Z with everything he has and the creature goes down rather easily this time.
Angel says, “Damn I gotta find a way to kill this guy for good, he’s just going to keep chasing me around the hospital, if I can even call this a hospital anymore! Maria is probably in serious trouble, I gotta hurry!”
He goes through the open door and finds a capsule containing a human body being fed some kind of weird liquid. He wonders what in the hell are they doing in this hospital and was this his fate had the surgery taken place as scheduled. Suddenly he becomes concerned that the source of these creatures is the results of failed experiments taking place in the hospital itself.
He says in his mind, “I’m starting to feel that I’m learning too much for my own good. I’m only 17 after all, but I’m very smart for my age. I’ve heard horror stories about the hospital, about patients that never made it out alive, and I might have just found out the reason. Of course, the hospital will do everything to cover their asses, but I can’t concern myself about exposing the hospital. For all I know, everybody might be dead anyway and the hospital maybe completely destroyed by the time this all clears up. All I need to worry about is rescuing Maria and getting out of here.”
He hits the switch which opens a door in the upstairs area of the library. When Angel returns to the library Mr. Z is gone, as he expected.
Angel says convinced, “Trap door’s huh, looks like the worms are about to come out of the can and these worms are going to bite real hard.”
He heads upstairs towards the trap door and it leads to an open hallway with a railing along with a long fall down. He walks though the door ahead, but before he can open the door, Mr. Z makes his appearance again. This time catching him in a tight area, he starts to shoot Mr. Z, but to no avail. He backs up trying to gain some space between him and Mr. Z, but the monster gains up on him.
Angel thinks quickly and jumps on to a gas pipe, then shimmies his way along the hallway with the creature trying to grab him unsuccessfully. He uses his last few rounds of his grenade launcher to take down Mr. Z. Angel finds some more grenade rounds and shotgun shells inside of the creatures pocket.
He heads through the door that he wanted to go through and when he gets through he hears the sound of Mr. Z getting up.
Angel says concerned, “That SOB is going to keep chasing me, that guy is incredibly strong and throws a mean fist. Just looking at him would get anyone scared. I can’t let that monster get out into the wild like that. Worse of all he’s a stalker, the worse kind of enemy!”
He finds himself at the 12th floor which starts out as a hallway, but he quickly realizes it’s not like the rest of the hallways in the hospital.
Chapter 6
He hears a loud sound of a generator in the hallway. Then he walks into the room with the generator and walks towards the end of the room. At the end of the room he sees Maria through a camera walking inside a laboratory trying to escape, but she’s unable to. He looks for a way to contact her, but is unable to. Next to the camera he finds more grenade rounds and a .50AE Desert Eagle Magnum. He takes a look at the other camera. The camera simply shows the exit to the room. However, it shows something else, once again it is Mr. Z to Angel’s disbelief.
Angel says in shock, “It can’t be, this bastard’s back? How many times do I have to kill this red-jacket freak? Man this has got to be a real bad nightmare or a really bad reality!”
He heads towards Mr. Z and shoot’s a few rounds towards him. Then he runs back to gain distance from Mr. Z and finishes off the creature. He finds more bullets on the creature including magnum rounds. He wondered where this freak was made from and why does it not die, but more importantly what does it want?
Running out of shotgun shells, he decides to leave the shotgun behind as he’s unable to carry all the weapons he has. Angel unlocks the laboratory area and heads towards Maria. He heads inside the door, but he does not arrive where she is. He is met with a gauntlet of spiders, froggers, and a new breed of creatures “Scorpio” code name for the scorpion like creatures.
Angel says, “You gotta be kidding me, scorpions now, not like Mr. Z isn’t giving me a run for my money already.”
The scorpions have an extremely venomous sting and if its target is stung the poison will be so bad that the target will die instantly. He runs around the lab area full of capsules and lab equipment to avoid getting killed by any of the creatures. He is able to kill off some of the spiders and frogs, but the scorpions give him the most trouble.
Their hard shells make them almost impossible to kill. A spider pushes him to the wall, after that a frogger licks him with its poisonous tongue and then a scorpion traps him in a corner. It looks hopeless for him at this point trapped by three of the worse possible experiments gone wrong. He takes out his Magnum and shoots the tail of the scorpion killing it. Out of nowhere gunfire is heard and a mysterious character kills the rest of the creatures with a machine gun.
Angel says, “That’s what I needed, who are you?”
The mysterious man answers, “I’m Luis I’m one of the surviving members of hospital security. I’m glad I found one survivor!”
Angel in a weak voice says, “There’s another survivor, a girl named Maria. I was with her, but I lost her and now I’m poisoned. You know about this secret area of the hospital…” Angel passes out before he could finish his sentence.
Luis answers, “No, I found out like you did, but you need some care. I’m going to take you to the medical room here and see if I can cook up an antidote for you.”
Luis carries him to the medical room which isn’t too far from where he was fighting the creatures. He finds some herbs and mixes them up into a tea. Luis has him drink the tea and Angel begins to feel a lot better.
Angel says to Luis, “Thanks man, I needed that. I’m sorry but Harrison is gone.” Angel begins crying.
Luis responds, “I know Angel, but we can’t worry about that. It’s only you, me and that survivor you said was around. Listen I’m just as surprised as you are that the hospital was keeping this secret for such a long time. They probably didn’t intend on this happening, I heard they wanted to release something to cure cancer. Well we gotta get to the roof. I got a friend with a police chopper who will pick any survivors up from the hospital and that is our only ticket out of here. The front exit is infected with these creatures and so is the back exit.”
Angel replies, “I bet the exit is where Maria is located. We gotta get to her and quickly. We gotta be strong Luis, I’m sure that’s what Harrison would want us to do. Let’s get moving.”
The two of them get out of the medical room and goes towards where Maria is located. Before they could get there more zombies appear to block the entrance. The two of them work together to take the zombies out. After that they headed into a room called “Lab B”. It’s just like Lab A, but this lab contains only two huge capsules with humans inside. It’s quiet when Angel and Luis arrive, until Angel spots Maria.
Maria running scared spots Angel and Luis and screams, “Angel help me it’s that man again!” It is Mr. Z giving chase once again.
Angel says annoyed, “It’s you again! Damn you’re a persistent one, aren’t you? What do I have to do to take you down?”
Luis screams, “Hey what not try to zap-gun onto the wall?”
Angel answers, “Well, I’ll try anything at this point to get rid of this bastard!”
He grabs the zap gun and uses it on Mr. Z. The force pushes it back. A pool of blue liquid can be seen. He hatches the idea of forcing Mr. Z into the pool and having him fall in getting rid of him for good.
Angel says as Mr. Z falls into the pool, “Goodbye Mr. Z! It was nice knowing you!”
The three of them see an emergency ladder that leads straight to the roof. The trio is relieved that they are finally getting out of the hospital. As Angel, Luis and Maria are climbing the ladder toward the roof, Mr. Z pops out of the pool.
The three have no idea that Mr. Z is still alive. Luis spots the light from the helicopter and has everyone wave their hand so that the chopper could pick them up. The helicopter begins to approach the survivors and when it gets ready to descend to drop the ladder to pick up the trio. Mr. Z pops out of the floor and onto the roof, only this time he has a blue jacket and blue visors. The helicopter gets away claiming it’s too dangerous to descend.
Angel says in disbelief, “You again? I can’t fuckin believe it. Do you ever die?”
Mr. Z transforms into Mr. Y which is a stronger version of Mr. Z and not just stronger but faster as well. Angel and Luis shoot Mr. Y, but he flies up and avoids every shot. Then it lands on Angel and begins to punch him until Luis shoot’s him. The two of them try to shoot him again, but this time he sides steps and he’s simply too quick for the two to keep up with. Mr. Y punches the two to the floor. The two of them get right back up not willing to give up. Maria hides behind the AC unit to avoid being spotted by him.
Meanwhile Angel and Luis are getting their asses handed to them by Mr. Y.
Angel says in shock, “Damn pushing him into that liquid only made him stronger, damn this bastard is something else!”
Despite Mr. Y’s abilities, it does have a pattern of attack which the two begin to pick up as the battle continued. Angel lobs a grenade at him when he’s open and Mr. Y begins to weaken. Mr. Y jumps real high trying to hit Luis, but he misses Luis and Luis shoots the creature as it comes down. Mr. Y begins to weaken and slow down, but the two of them do not have a weapon powerful enough to take it out.
Out of nowhere the man on the chopper screams on the megaphone, “Here use this when he’s not expecting it! Hurry up we don’t have much fuel to waste!”
Maria sneaks to the item, it is a rocket launcher. The other two continue to slow down Mr. Y until its kneeling down.
She says while shooting the rocket launcher, “Game over big guy!” The rocket hits Mr. Y dead on and he explodes into many pieces.
Angel says to her, “Wow I’m impressed you killed your worse fear yourself.”
Maria replies, “I can’t take all of the credit, you guys distracted him. I just shot the final blow.”
Luis says relieved, “Well guys, we survived. Now it’s time to get out of here.”
The chopper picks up the trio using the ladder and the chopper flies away into the sunrise. Angel, Maria, and Luis are in the chopper stunned by what they just endured and survived. This would be a story they could tell their kids in years to come, maybe even their grandkids. There was only one problem. An alarm goes off, which wakes up Angel from his sleep and he prepared for surgery day. It was all a bad dream. This was all in his sleep.
Angel says, “Wow that was some dream I just had! It’s time to get ready for my oral surgery.

Angels Nightmare Adventure: Luis’s Story
This is in memory of a good friend of mines, Joe. May you rest in peace.
Chapter 1
While Angel is about to prepare for his surgery for his overbite, across town Luis an officer for the NYPD is about to start his first day. He is 25 and he has quite the rap sheet of misdoings including dropping out of school. He knows the streets in and out as he was a drug dealer one point in his life, but decided to change when his daughter was born.
