Ultimate Nightmare Set, page 12
part #1 of Angel's Nightmare Adventure Series
Harry returns to the Main Hallway and decides to head back to the west staircase. When he gets down, he sees one of the dead zombies has resurrected with its signature crimson face. It runs down the stairs and gives chase to Harry who loads a clip with enhanced ammo prepared.
The zombie tries to slash him when it gets down from the stairs. However, a few well placed shots in the head are enough to kill the zombie before it gets too close.
Enhanced Pistol Ammo: 8
After killing the zombie, he heads to the door at the end of the hall and used the Armor Key to unlock it. Once he unlocks the door, he finds himself in another hall that has the same signature green wallpaper. There are a few zombies that he kills off easily, but he ends up using all his Enhanced Pistol ammo.
When he kills the zombies, he hears some screaming coming from his right. Harry heads down the all to his right, but is ambushed a zombie that grabs him. The zombie lands a good bite on him before he’s able to push it away. He sees an opportunity to stab the zombie and he tries to kill it. However, he stumbles and falls due to his clumsy nature. He also drops his knife by a door far from his reach.
The zombie gets on top of him and begins to pick at him.
“Oh crap, this is not good.” He says knowing that he is unable to reach for any of his weapons.
“Rebecca, Sabrina, Barry, anyone!” He screams for help.
As the zombie picks at the defenseless Harry, Rebecca comes out of a bedroom and spots him.
“Harry hold on! I’ll save you!” She says as she nervously raises her gun.
At first she is too nervous to shoot fearing that she’ll shoot Harry instead.
“Rebecca, just shoot! I can’t hang on much longer!” He screams trying to get her to shoot.
After hearing his screaming, Rebecca aims for the zombie and shoots quite a few bullets. The first three miss the target due to her nervousness, but the next four hit the zombie with two hitting the head killing it. After Rebecca shoots the zombie, it falls to the floor.
“I got him! Are you ok?” She asks.
“Yeah, you just saved my life!” He answers happily.
“So I must be doing well, right?” She asks.
“Well I’ll give you an A for saving my hide. I’ll be honest though, this is no time to worry about how you’re performing. In fact, the only thing that matters at this point is survival.” He replies.
“Yes sir!” She screams in response.
“I heard someone screaming, is someone in there?” He asks.
“Yes, come in.” She answers.
The two enter the bedroom and Harry sees another member of the Bravo team down. However, he is still alive if barely.
“Kenny…” He calls Kenny’s name.
“Harry, this place… is too dangerous. Look out… for the others please Harry. There are… terrible demons… ouch!” Kenny replies.
“Don’t talk Kenny, you’re hurt.” Rebecca says.
“What could have done this to him, Rebecca?” Harry asks.
“I believe it was a snake, he says he spotted Sabrina who gave him a shot of serum, and I spotted him in the hallway. I decided to bring him here.” She answers.
“Well it’s a good thing you brought him here and at least it’s good to know Sabrina’s still alive. Any word on the others?” He asks.
“No, I haven’t seen anyone else.” She answers soberly.
“I see. Anyway, I want you to stay here with Kenny and see if you can bring him back to health.” He orders Rebecca to stay with Kenny.
“Ok, please be careful.” She replies while he nods his head.
Harry decides to check around the room for anything useful. He finds a document that catches his attention.
Watchman’s Diary
January 15, 2007
“It’s another cold day today and another boring day indeed. So I decide to play gin rummy with my partner and I of course beat him. He did get a bit angry claiming that I cheated and to be honest I kind of did. I had the cards rigged with a very small mark on each card, but he doesn’t have to know that haha!
For the most part it was a normal day until we heard a noise coming from outside. Normally I would freak out, but because things have been so boring here that it was a welcome noise to hear to break the monotony. We walked the hallway with that ugly green wallpaper that really scares the hell out of me at night.
Grabbing my .22 just in case, I head towards the window and take a peek. Despite wanting to see anything, all I ended up seeing a lone baby wolf howling for its mother. I was disappointed at first, but then again it might be for the better. So I and my partner continued to play rummy the rest of the day.
January 21, 2007
My partner got a little curious, so he went up to the boardroom and played detective. He found some pretty convincing things written in code. For one thing there’s a Mr. B that was to lead a group of detectives here and gather some kind of battle data.
Another thing he found was that he found out the Clark Family was performing rather dangerous experiments in a secret laboratory. That explains why we were hired. After all we wouldn’t be guarding a mansion that had nothing to hide. I began to wonder where this “secret lab” was located. Something told me there was a secret path behind the artificial waterfall in the courtyard.
I would decide to take a trip there soon myself and see what was going on. I had to be careful because I’m sure if I was caught there it would result in me losing my job or worse.
Finally there was a file that indicated that Hybrid would be the next leader in the B.O.W. market or the Bio-Organic Weapon market. Sounds scary indeed and that’s when I began to come up with the theory that Hybrid was planning a secret NWO project.
February 3, 2007
It appears that my partner was caught snooping around the boardroom and was called by Herman Clark to the boardroom. I wonder what would happen…
Later on I would find out that after a long lecture, he was given a warning. However, he did not look the same. Not only emotionally, but literally as well. His skin was a bit whiter than before and this would freak me out at first. As the days went by though, I decided to just ignore it.
March 1, 2007
I decided to go to the waterfall in the courtyard at midnight as most of the Clark’s were fast asleep along with my partner. I went through the east part of the mansion and went into the courtyard. Taking the elevator up, I went to the waterfall and saw something strange. It looked like a ladder leading down to a secret passage, but the force of the water prevented me from entering.
At that point I gave up and decided to go back. Although my curious side wanted me to find out what the Clark’s were hiding. I would just go back when the water would go off, even if I had to scout and hide out. I began to develop a theory that something funny was taking place and it wasn’t pretty.
Then that sound I heard two months ago came back, this time though I also heard chains being dragged around. Walking back, the sound got louder and I can sense that “monster” was close to me. So I ran back to my room and decided to hide out for a little while.
March 13, 2007
Me and my partner heard the sound from the room. Once again I went to the windows and saw nothing. My partner though opened a window and jumped out to see if he saw anything.
A few minutes later, I heard him scream loudly in extreme pain. My face turned pale as I knew something was really wrong. I didn’t bother to go outside as I knew my partner was probably dead. However whatever that thing was, I knew that I didn’t want to run into it.”
The rest of the pages are blank…
Harry’s face is shocked as his suspicions are true that this mansion has dirty secrets being hidden away. Also he knows those noises he’s been hearing are not his imagination. He doesn’t dare tell Rebecca what he read in fear that he will scare her away from healing Kenny. He also wonders who Mr. B could be according to the journal.
He continues to explore the room to see if he finds anymore items and finds a desk. Harry decides to use an old key to unlock the desk…
Picked up Shotgun Shells. Shotgun Ammo: 12
Old Keys: 1
Finding nothing else, he leaves Rebecca while saying bye to her. After reading the note, he decides he needs to go to the courtyard to see what the waterfall is hiding. He makes his way through the main hallway and enters the art room. After entering the art room, he heads into the hall where he found Allen and sees a couple of zombies pop through the windows.
Both zombies turn out to be crimson faces that attack him faster than he can react. He takes some damage, but not enough to be too significant. One of the zombies tries to grab him.
Press “A” and “B” to sidestep… Good!
Sidestepping the zombie, he blasts its head with a shotgun blast.
Shotgun Ammo: 11
The other zombie rushes behind him and grabs him beginning to bite him. At first he has a hard time getting the zombie off his back causing it to deal more damage. However, he is able to get the zombie off his back.
Condition: Caution (Level 1)
Harry tries to shoot his gun, but the pain on his arm due to the bite interferes with his hooting. As a result, the zombie is able to land a cheap shot on him. The zombie stretches and makes an intimidating noise ready to grab him.
Press “A” and “B” to dive… Great!
He dives onto the floor as the zombie tries to grab him. Dropping his shotgun, he shoots the zombie with his pistol in desperation and actually kills it.
Pistol Ammo: 37
The problem for Harry is the pain on his arm that he holds in order to limit the pain on his arm.
“Damn, that bastard got me good. I should go back to Rebecca, but I can’t afford to waste too much time.” He says in pain.
Picking up his shotgun, he continues on his way to the courtyard. When he gets to the next hallway, he sees the metal door that was locked. Using the last old key he has, he opens the door. After opening the door, he finds himself in the garden area. Heading to the back of the garden, he sees some herbs on the floor.
Picked up 2 Green Herbs.
Picked up a Red Herb.
Harry combines a Green Herb with a Red Herb to create a Super Herb.
When he grabs the herbs, a couple of dogs ambush him from behind and they attack him dealing some damage. Turning around, he shoots them with a couple of shotgun blasts.
Shotgun Ammo: 9
Once the dogs are dead, he uses an herb to rub on his wound…
Harry uses a Green Herb.
Condition: Fine
Crushing the green herb, he applies it to his wound. At first the herb causes the wound to sting. Taking the sting, he rubs the herb over the wound. Eventually the wound begins to heal and the pain goes down. He is able to move his arm better than before. While the pain still exists, it’s more tolerable than before.
Heading back inside, he resumes his journey to the courtyard. Eventually he makes his way to the back of the dark hallway and spots a gated door. It opens and leads him to a path heading to the courtyard. A dog pops out of the bushes and attack him. The dog retreats and prepares to attack him. As it runs towards him, he pulls out his knife and thrusts the blade into the dog’s mouth as it jumps towards him.
While the result is the disgusting blood from the dog landing on him, it’s a small cost to conserve ammo. He continues down the path until he sees a metal door and opens it. He sees two doors in the courtyard shed and heads to the double doors. However, the doorknob is missing on it.
So he heads to the other door that has a heavy box in the way. Using his strength, he is able to push the box out of the way and gain access to the door. Despite gaining access to the door, he is disappointed when he is unable to open it.
The lock requires a special key to open the door.
Frustrated, he realizes that he has to continue exploring more of the mansion to find the key to the courtyard. Heading back to the mansion, he hears the same noise with the chains again.
“Whoever you are, come out! Although I might be better off if it stays far away from me. What other demons could be hiding in this mansion and where could the others be?” The situation leaves him with more questions than answers.
He stands around thinking of where he should explore next.
Chapter 4
When he gets inside the mansion, he remembers that there was a door on the upper portion of the east stairway. So he goes back to the east hallway and heads up the stairs. Upon reaching the 2nd floor, he heads to the door in question and uses the Armor Key to unlock.
This key is useless, will you discard? Yes or No.
You have selected yes.
Entering through the door, he sees a zombie in the room with only a deer head on the wall. With no time to react, he is bit by the zombie. Reaching for his knife, he stabs the zombie in the arm. While it doesn’t kill the zombie, it causes it to lose its grip on Harry.
When the zombie lets go, he blasts the head of the zombie with his shotgun.
Shotgun Ammo: 8
Despite the bite, he doesn’t take too much damage. He sees something on the floor next to a dead guard.
Picked up a Pistol Clip. Pistol Ammo: 52
Harry sees a couple of doors, a red door, and an oak door. The oak door is locked and requires an old key to open. So he heads through the red door and ends up in a study. Looking at the computer that is on, he takes a look at it. Although it contains mostly research files that he wouldn’t understand.
There is a file he opens that gives him instructions to find the key leading to the east courtyard…
“To obtain the key to the east courtyard, you have to feed the goddess a balance of good and evil. She is located in the upper part of the Dining Room. Too much good and she’ll be too weak to open the door to the promise land. Too much evil and the path will be too dark to enter.
Once good and evil are in perfect harmony, the path to the courtyard key will open. Once you obtain the key, the path to the purest of evil people will be accessible.”
“A cryptic message, I wonder what good and evil represent in this crazy mansion.” He asks himself.
Seeing a small panel that used to be behind a cabinet that looks like it was moved, he heads toward it. Once he opens the panel, he sees an object inside.
Picked up a Black Statue. It has the look of a Demon and has wings that look like they are from a bat.
Harry begins to think that the statue is the item that represents the evil needed to open the secret path. He heads towards the Dining Room to see what the statue looks like. Entering the Red Velvet hallway, he bumps into a zombie that gets up after turning into a crimson face zombie.
Harry decides that he should run instead of taking a chance. He’s able to dodge the initial slashing attack and continues until he gets to the main hallway. After running into the hallway, he catches his breath for a minute until he hears the door behind him bust open.
“Oh crap, that bastard is still after me. Man he’s a fast one! Whatever Hybrid did to these guys it sure has made them hell to deal with.” He screams as the zombie stretches and screams.
The zombie scream is rather loud and intimidating. Realizing that he can’t run away from the zombie, he decides to pull out his shotgun and shoots a shell at the zombie. The shell hits the zombie, but doesn’t kill it. The recoil is rather high pushing Harry back and throws him off balance.
The zombie shakes the shot off and rushes him.
Shotgun Ammo: 7
Press “A” and “B” to counter… Excellent!
As the zombie rushes him, he realizes that he has no time to shoot another shell. Instead as the zombie appears, he gets on his back and uses his right foot to flip the zombie over the railing. The zombie falls onto a torch that is to the side of the stairs and burns to death.
After patting himself on the back, he heads to the dining room and spots the statue on the other side. When he gets there, he sees the goddess holding a balance scale. There are two plates that are supposed to hold the “Good” and “Evil”. Behind the statue, there is a disturbing painting that shows the Demons and Angels clashing and Armageddon taking place in the middle
Harry USES the Black Statue.
He places the black statue on one side of the balance scale and all the weight is on that side. Now he needs to find the statue of good. Then he remembers that there was a door in the green hallway where he was rescued by Rebecca. So he heads there and once he gets to the hallway, he is ambushed by a couple of zombies that pop out of the bedroom where Rebecca was in.
As the zombies come out, he is able to get away from them and shoot them from a safe distance with his pistol.
Pistol Bullets: 43
He checks the room to see if Rebecca and Kenny are there and to his relief he doesn’t see their bodies there. However, he’s still at unease because now he has no idea where they can be.
“Rebecca! Kenny! Where could they be?” He screams hoping to get a response, but gets none.
He leaves the room and opens the door that he had seen earlier. He enters a small room there’s a head of a tiger with it’s eyes acting as holes. Something on the floor catches his attention…
Picked up an Old Key.
He reads a message under the tiger statue…
“The tiger has eyes that are red for the element of fire and blue for the element of ice. Feeding the tiger with these gifts of sight will grant you rewards that will help you reach the greater truth.”
He notices that he doesn’t have anything resembling an “eye”.
“Hmm… I did see a small statue holding something blue. I wonder if that will fit the tiger.” He asks himself.
He heads back to the upper portion of the Dining Room and sees what looks to be a blue jewel that is being held by the statue of a Spartan. The jewel is out of his reach though. He heads to the side where the statue is and sees there is a break in the railing where someone could just fall towards the bottom.
He pushes the statue down until it falls close to the dining room table. While he could just fall down to the bottom, the fall is a little too big to go down safely. So he decides to go through the main hallway and down the stairs in order to get to the dining room.
