“Rebecca, I’m a rookie. I happen to be the med here.” She answers.
“What happened?” He asks.
“I have no idea, we were flying, and the helicopter malfunctioned. It’s strange because that chopper was checked right before the mission.” She answers.
“Well, there wasn’t anything you could have done anyway. You did well getting in here. Although I have to say this place is just as strange as outside.” He replies.
“I’m just worried about the others.” She says.
“So am I, but we have to look out for ourselves now.” He says.
“Harry, do you mind if I help you?” She asks.
Do you want Rebecca to help? Yes or No.
You have chosen yes.
“Alright you can help. Let’s get going!” He replies happily.
“Yes sir!” She screams and then pauses, then says, “Hey I have to gather a few things here, do you mind going on?” She asks.
“Ok, just be careful.” He replies while Rebecca nods.
He sees a couple of keys on the bed…
Picked up a Mansion Key.
Harry CHECKS the key. Turning the key around, he sees a symbol of a Sword.
Picked up an Old Key. It’s used to open various doors and desks, it can only be used once. So there are probably more keys hiding around the mansion.
Seeing nothing else around, he leaves the room leaving Rebecca by herself. He decides to continue down the hall and when he goes down the hall, two zombies pop out from the window. He heads to the other side of the hall in order to get some room.
He begins to fire rounds at the zombies and their decayed body parts begin to fall off from their bodies. The first zombie falls down rather fast, but the second gets close to Harry.
Press “A” and “B” to sidestep… Well Done!
He sidesteps as the zombie tries to grab him and he uses his knife to stabs the zombie in the head.
Pistol Ammo: 10
He notices that he’s running low on ammo and decides he better keep a better eye for more ammo. What he doesn’t notice is that a zombie is right behind him and the undead grabs him from behind.
The zombie grabs him and begins to bite him hard. He begins to fight off the zombie before it deals anymore damage. Harry is able to elbow the zombie off him and tries to look for his knife. However, the knife is still on the zombie that he killed before.
Condition: Caution (Level 1)
He goes to the other zombie and tries to pull the knife off the head of the zombie. However, the zombie manages to grab him again. This time he’s able to fight it off before it can land a bite.
After pushing the zombie away from him, he finally takes the knife off the head of the previously killed zombie. In order to conserve ammo, he throws his knife at the zombie’s head with perfect accuracy. The zombie falls on the floor and Harry takes out the knife.
“I must be getting better at this. I knew all that time I spent practicing my knife throwing skills would payoff.” He pats himself on the back.
After killing the zombies, he spots two doors. The one ahead of him is locked…
The doorknob is etched with a picture of a Knight’s Armor.
He tries to open the door to the storage room, but the door is locked. Harry uses the old key that he got to open the door and enters. The room is filled with old sofas, tables, and spider webs. He sees a pickup by an old clock.
Picked up a Broken Shotgun. The gun has a broken pin and too dangerous to shoot. Is there another use for it?
When he looks at the table, he spots an ammo pickup.
Picked up a Pistol Clip. Pistol Ammo: 25
He also sees a desk, but it’s locked. Unlike Sabrina, Harry doesn’t have access to a lockpick. So he marks it in his head to come back should he find another old key lying around. When he gets out of the room, he decides to head to the east side of the mansion again to unlock the doors that are locked.
Harry heads up the stairs and is about to head to the dining room until a zombie pops out of the door. He’s too stunned to defend himself as the zombie grabs him and begins to bite him. He fights his way out of the hold and avoids taking major damage.
He backs up and begins to land rounds of pistol bullets until the zombie hits the floor. He reloads his pistol with another clip. As he walks towards the door, it turns out the zombie is not completely dead. It grabs his legs and begins to take a bite at his feet. Unlike Sabrina, Harry’s boots are not as tall. As a result, the zombie begins to bite into his skin again.
Pulling his trusty knife, he stabs it using both of his hands on the head until it dies. Catching his breath, he realizes that he’ll have to be better prepared for the many surprises that will follow.
After getting out of the dining room, he heads back to the main hallway and now decides where he should explore first. After a minute, he decides to explore the first floor since that is where he started first. Heading down the stairs, he hears a strange sound. At first he thinks it’s just the howl of the wolves.
When he gets to the bottom though, he hears it again. This time, he can tell that it’s not the sound of wolves. In fact, it sounds monstrous in nature and after the groan, chains dragged through the floor. He hears it again coming from the back hall. So he decides to head behind the stairs and sees a door that is locked.
When he tries to pull the door, he is unable to open it. The door has two octagonal holes that is supposed to be holding unknown objects. Once again the noise is heard and it’s louder than before. Even for a brave man like Harry, the noise is enough to scare him.
“That doesn’t sound pleasant at all. Whatever is behind this door can’t be too nice…” He says nervously.
He tries to relax as he figures that is something he’ll have to deal with when he crosses that bridge. He leaves the area and decides to enter the art room. After entering the room, he opens the previously locked door with the sword key.
At the back in his head, he continues to thinks what could be that noise and is it a monster of some sort.
Chapter 2
After opening the door, he finds himself in a hallway. Walking through the hallway, he sees the windows are broken. As he continues to walk, he hears gunshots. He runs towards the noise and sees another teammate being attacked by dogs.
However, just like Kenneth he is too late to save this teammate. The dogs make mince meat out of him and tear his throat up along with his face. Harry shoots the dogs and is able to kill one of them. He misses the other dog and it comes for him ready to bite.
Press “A” and “B” to dodge… Good!
He’s able to dive the other way avoiding the dog’s bite, he turns around and pump three pistol rounds to kill the dog.
Pistol Ammo: 19
After killing the dogs, he looks at his teammate and sees that it’s Allen from the Alpha team who was separated from the group when the dogs attacked outside.
Allen was the oldest member of the team. An ex-army vet, he spent close to 15 years until he was honorably discharged due to injury. He would later spend 5 years with the NYPD Special Forces and he was tough but selfless when it came to training the crew.
“No, why Allen? Damn it, you were one of my favorites… Why did they do to you? Aghhh…” Harry screams as he sees Allen’s dead body.
Allen is dead with his throat torn apart along with his ears. His mouth is open wide with the emotion of extreme pain that he was experiencing before he was mercifully taken out of the world. Trying to get over the emotional pain, he begins to check Allen for anything useful.
Picked up a Pistol Clip. Pistol Ammo: 34
Finding nothing else, he heads through the door and finds himself in a light green hallway. He sees a metal door that is locked…
Door is locked. Perhaps an Old Key can open it.
He moves on and passes by the bathroom. However, he is ambushed by a zombie that pops out of the bathroom door. Harry is caught completely off guard and the zombie grabs him biting him like crazy. He is able to fight it off and shoots it in the head twice, which opens the zombie’s head before it falls.
Condition: Caution (Level 2)
Pistol Ammo: 32
Heading into the bathroom, he sees something in the bathtub.
Picked up a jar of Gunpowder A. Used to create ammo.
He realizes that he needs to find health and fast. After leaving the bathroom, he continues down the hall. He passes by some windows when he looks out he can see a shadow outside and that same groan that he heard before. However, like before he is unable to see anything.
Continuing down the hall, he sees a couple of doors. He heads through the door to his left and enters a white room decorated with the background of a medieval Croatian city. He goes through the next door she sees and finds himself in a room filled with hunted animals displayed as trophies. He finds a key in a cup on the coffee table.
Picked up an Old Key.
He decides to hold the key and waits to use it for the right moment. In the back of the room, he sees a weapon…
Picked up a Shotgun. This weapon is best at close range and gives off a powerful blast. Shotgun Amm0: 7
The hooks lift up and Harry gets the idea that it might spawn a trap.
Harry USES the Broken Shotgun.
He places the Broken Shotgun on the hooks and they go back to the normal position and he picks up the shotgun. There are no more items to pick up, so he leaves the room and heads back to the hallway. When he gets to the hallway, he heads through the double doors. Finding himself in a dark hallway, a zombie approaches him and he kills it easily with his pistol.
Pistol Ammo: 28
He opens the door that is to his right and finds himself in the east hallway. Another zombie is in front of him and he kills it with little effort. While he feels good about killing the zombie, he knows easy kills are gonna be once in a blue moon.
When he heads deeper into the stairway, he sees an herb on the floor. However, before he can grab it a zombie falls from the railing above him and falls on him. The zombie is ready to eat Harry alive until gunshots are heard and they kill the zombie.
“Barry! Am I glad to see you…” Harry says relieved that Barry has come to the rescue.
“Don’t mention it. Listen there are a lot of rooms in this mansion. So we’ll have to explore this house thoroughly if we expect to find any clues.” Barry says.
“Sounds good captain, but we should also try to find an escape route as well as I’m sure the front door is no longer an option.” Harry replies.
“Good point there. So I’ll need you to find an escape route while I’ll continue to find any clues. This is not your ordinary house, so keep your eyes peeled. Good luck, you’re gonna need it.” Barry says before heading into the hall where Harry just left.
“What did he mean by that? Then again this house is full of monsters, so that is what he’s probably referring to.” He avoids overthinking and grabs the herb on the floor.
Picked up a Green Herb. Used to restore partial health.
Harry uses the Green Herb.
Condition: Caution (Level 1)
After healing himself partially, he heads into the east storage room to see what’s inside and he finds a few pickups…
Picked up a Reloading Tool. Used to create ammo out of gunpowder, requires to be used at a reloading station.
Picked up a Jar of Gunpowder A and B.
Picked up a First Aid Spray. Used to restore full health.
He also picks up a manual on how to use the reloading tool.
Reloading Tool Manual
“As you go around the mansion, you will bump into jars of gunpowder that you can convert to live ammo to use. You need to load the jars of gunpowder into the reloading station and then load the reloading tool into the station to create the ammo. Depending on the gunpowder mix, you will get different ammo types.
Gunpowder A – Used primarily to create Pistol Bullets.
Gunpowder B – Used primarily to create Shotgun Shells.
Gunpowder D – Used primarily to create Magnum Rounds.
If you mix Gunpowder A and B you will create Enhanced Pistol Ammo and you’ll be able to deal more damage with the pistol. If you happen to mix Gunpowder B and D you will create Enhanced Shotgun Ammo.
May this manual be useful to whoever is able to find it.”
After reading the manual, he decides to start crafting ammo.
Harry mixes a jar of Gunpowder A with Gunpowder B.
He loads a jar of Gunpowder AB. An Enhanced pistol clip with 20 bullets is created. +20 Enhanced Pistol Ammo.
He loads a jar of Gunpowder A. +20 bullets are created.
Pistol Ammo: 28
After creating the ammo, he exits the room. Seeing the stairs, he heads up the stairs and after going up the stairs he sees a zombie rush towards him. The zombie has a crimson face and is more aggressive than the ordinary zombies.
The zombie rushes towards him and slashes him. After slashing him the zombie tries to grab him.
Press “A” and “B” to dodge… Well Done!
Harry is able to dodge and steps behind the zombie. To conserve ammo, he stabs the zombie in the back of its head with his knife. Just for good measure, he pulls the knife out and pushes the zombie from the railing to the floor below.
After killing the crimson face zombie, another one comes from behind and attempts to grab him. The zombie runs at a rapid pace. Knowing he’ll have no time to land a shot, he has to think of something else quick.
Press “A” and “B” to counter… Great!
When the zombie gets close to him, Harry ducks and performs a shoulder flip causing the zombie to flip over the railing. Its head lands right on the spike on the banister of the stairs. The spike breaks into the skull of the zombie killing it instantly.
“Whew, now you got crazy zombies that can run as well. Holy crap this is gonna be fun.” He says while sighing.
He sees a door missing a doorknob making him unable to open it. Luckily there is another door just to his right that does open properly. He enters the red velvet hallway and sees more zombies surrounding him. He decides to load the enhanced pistol ammo clip for his pistol.
After loading the enhanced ammo, he shoots the zombie to his left on the head. He’s able to kill the zombie in only two shots before it’s head pops off.
The other zombie grabs him as he focuses his attention towards it, but he’s able to kick it away before it bites him. Using his pistol he kills the zombie in four shots as he’s unable to get a head shot.
Enhanced Pistol Ammo: 14
Once he kills the zombies, he enters through the door on the corner and enters a small library study room. To his right he sees something shiny…
Picked up an Old Key. Old Keys: 2
On the big table he sees a green book that talks about basic botany and how to properly mix herbs to help keep him alive. After reading it, he puts the book down and finds nothing else. Heading back to the red velvet hallway, he continues down the hall. He bumps into another zombie clumsily and ends up in the clutches of the zombie.
The zombie bites him hard and deals a good amount of damage. He reaches for his knife and grabs it. He stabs the zombie in the head, but it doesn’t kill it. Pulling out his pistol, he kills the zombie in a couple of shots.
Condition: Caution (Level 2)
Enhanced Pistol Ammo: 12
He decides to load the regular pistol bullets back as he wants to save his more powerful ammo for later. Approaching the door in front of him, he sees a sword etched on the doorknob. So he uses the sword key to open the door and after opening the door ends up back at the main hallway.
Once he gets back to the main hallway, he heads to the other door on the same side where he is. He uses the sword key to unlock the door.
This key is useless, will you discard? Yes or No.
You have chosen yes.
After he opens the door, he finds himself in a small hallway with blood on the wall.
“I wonder whose blood is this. Like I need to guess that it belongs to one of my team members.” Harry says under his voice.
He spots a balcony where he sees something on the table…
Picked up a Pistol Clip. Pistol Ammo: 43
When he reaches the end of the balcony, he makes yet another discovery of another down Bravo team member.
“No Trevor! Not you too, oh my God! It looks like he was pecked to death. I see that he’s holding a key to something.” He says while looking at the body of yet another dead teammate.
Picked up a Mansion Key.
Harry CHECKS the key. Turning the key he sees a picture of a Knight’s Armor.
After grabbing what is the Armor Key, he begins to head back inside the mansion. However Trevor gets up and to Harry’s terror, Trevor has turned into a zombie.
“Please Trevor, don’t make me shoot you!” He tries to reason with Trevor with no luck.
Trevor comes towards him and takes a bite out of Harry. He pushes Trevor away and is forced to blast him with the shotgun twice.
Condition: Danger
Shotgun Ammo: 5
“I didn’t want it to end this way, please… forgive… me Trevor.” Harry says while tearing up knowing he had to kill his partner.
Despite tearing up, he knows he had no choice or he would have been killed. Drying his tears, he’s more determined to make sure he survives the hell hole known as the Clark Family Mansion. He decides to use his healing item.
Harry uses his First Aid Spray.
Condition: Fine
He begins to enter the mansion and hears the strange noise again along with the chains being dragged. Harry takes a look from the balcony, but all he can see is the dark forest, which as best is pitch black even with the full moon shining.
“That noise is creeping me out, I wonder what the hell could it be. I can bet you there is some rotten family history in this mansion and this zombie outbreak is anything but vanity.” He’s convinced that the zombie outbreak did not just happen and there is a catalyst involved.
Probably the bigger question bugging him is, what can that thing be making that noise?
