Picked up a Large Key. Upon further review, Dawn sees that this key opens the Manager’s Office.
While she has the key in her possession to the manager’s room, it’s a matter of getting to Hondo alive and well. Jumping from the platform, she pushes herself to get to the exit only for another huge spider to come down from the ceiling. The spider tries to poison her, but she has just enough energy to dodge. Exiting the door, she sees the room leading to a bathroom and enters as quickly as she can.
When she enters the bathroom, she heads to the sink and eats the herb along with some water.
Dawn USES the Green and Blue Herbal Mixtures.
Condition: Caution (Level 2)
Healing herself, her vision begins to improve and her nerves begin to come back to life. However, she is still hurt rather badly. Despite that, she makes her way back to Hondo. Entering the dark stairway, a couple of spiders are on the stairway. Instead of fighting them though, she uses her hookshot on a wooden board above and lifts herself to the main level.
Exiting to the hallway, she’s relieved that Hondo is still where he was before. She heads towards him and begins to heal him.
“Hondo, do you hear me?” She asks.
“Yeah I’m still alive.” He replies.
“Whew… that’s good. I had a rough time getting the cloth for you and finding a way out of here. Almost didn’t make it myself.” She responds.
“At least you’re here.” He says happily.
“Hold on… I’m going to patch you up.” Dawn patches up Hondo’s wounds.
“Ah… that’s much better. I should be better now. Thanks…” He says as he gets up.
“Listen, I need you to be careful. I think we’re being followed and someone is trying to pick us off.” She cautions Hondo.
“I kind of know that already.”
“So you do…”
“I found a dead journalist on a bus and he wasn’t eaten alive either. He was shot to death and he had incriminating evidence. He was planning to go see George and I guess whoever shot him wasn’t down with that.” He replies to Dawn.
“When I was looking for the passcode, someone tried to kill me with an industrial sized hook and tried to turn off the lights on me. I found evidence of tampering, but I couldn’t find any footprints or even fingerprints.”
“Hmm… Dawn, it looks like whoever our wannabe assassin is, is a pretty clever one. I have my beliefs that it’s the chief.”
“You think so Hondo?”
“I haven’t seen him since I saw him ‘injured’ on the sofa of his office. However, I haven’t seen him since. I found somebody who is an employee of Hybrid, she seems innocent enough. Her life is in serious danger though.” Hondo answers.
“Yup, anyone working with Hybrid is under this idea that you’re either with them or you’re as good as dead.” Dawn replies.
“Did you find anything?”
“Yes Hondo. While I didn’t find the passcode, I did find this key that will lead to the manager’s office and the passcode.”
“Awesome, I’ll take it. Alright Dawn, I think we should split up again.”
“Wait hold on, there’s something else I want to give you.”
“What?”
“Here, take my buddy with you. I’m sure he’ll do more for you than me.” Dawn answers while showing her Desert Eagle.
“Really? Are you Sure?” He asks.
“Yeah, after all I’m sure this puppy will be just fine for me.” She reassures Hondo with her assault rifle.
“Ok, I’ll take it then.” He replies.
Dawn GIVES Hondo a Magnum. Magnum Ammo: 14
Dawn GIVES Hondo a Large Key.
“Be careful hun, this is not over by any means. In fact, I saw a dangerous creature downstairs. It had claws, was twice my size or more, and has superhuman strength.” She warns him about Polybius.
“I’ll be on the lookout. Anyway be careful yourself.” He says and then the two go on their separate ways.
After Dawn heads back outside, Hondo heads to the manager’s office. Using the large key he got from Dawn, he enters the manager’s office. When Hondo enters the manager’s office, he spots a few pickups.
Picked up a Green Herbal Mix.
Picked up a Red Herbal Mix.
Picked up a Super First Aid Spray. Heals to full health along with poison condition.
Hondo mixes a Green and Red Herbal mix to create a Super Herbal Mix.
He uses the Super Herbal Mix.
Condition: Fine
Along with the patch and healing herbs, Hondo feels much better and explores the rest of the manager’s office. He finds a computer that he accesses.
Good Morning Mr. Skander, please enter your password…
“Password?” Hondo asks in his mind.
He tries to type in Skander just in case, but to no avail. After a minute or so the doorknob turns slowly and he pulls out his pistol in case it’s another zombie. He prepares for the worse, but hopes that it’s just Linda coming back...
Chapter 10
When the door opens, Hondo keeps his weapon pointed towards the door and prepares for anything. However, it turns out that it’s no zombie. Instead it’s just Linda coming back to get him.
“Hold it!” Hondo points his gun at Linda and she does the same to him.
“It’s me Hondo!” She screams.
“Oh… Linda. Glad to see you’re ok.” Hondo is relieved when he finds out that it’s Linda.
“Same here. I see you got the manager’s office open.” She replies.
“Hey, can you help me here?”
“I’ll do my best.”
“It’s asking me for a password for a Mr. Skander.”
“Martin Skander…” Linda answers.
“You know him?” He asks.
“Yeah, he’s a scumbag. Buses were never on time and he seemed to have an excuse every damn time. Plus I heard him talk to the big sharks of Hybrid a couple of months ago.
“Hmm… interesting. Do you think you might know his password?”
“Yeah I do, he was foolish enough to leave his computer open one day. The janitor got a hold of the password and wrote it on this piece of paper. Then the janitor must have dropped on the bus because I found it on my morning bus to the laboratory.”
“Well, go for it my dear.” He allows her to use the computer.
Linda types in “WellOfSouls” as the password just as it’s written on the piece of paper. When she presses enter on the keyboard, the computer checks the password and in no time the password is accepted.

Linda writes the code on a piece of paper and doesn’t bother to log out of the computer as the manager is probably dead anyway.
“You ready?” She asks.
“Good job… I guess we’re on our way to the devil’s playground after all.” He replies.
The two head to the back shaft and Linda types in the code…

Code Accepted! Shaft opening…
The shaft begins to open slowly and one it opens completely. The two are shocked when they see that they have entered a big room full of nothing but metal boxes.
“What is this place?” Hondo asks.
“I’m not sure. I’ve never been through here…” She answers just as stumped.
The elevator begins to run on its own and the two have no idea what or who to expect to see once it comes up to the room. The two prepare for the worst possible situation.
When the elevator does come up and open, they see something in the elevator. However, it proves to be anything but human. In fact, it turns out to be Polybius X who Dawn just finished taking out in the basement.
Boss: Polybius X
When Polybius gets out of the elevator, he steps out staring at Hondo and Linda ready to pounce. Hondo pulls out his shotgun ready to defend himself while Linda vows to protect him with the pistol that she got from a dead officer.
Polybius goes after Linda by trying to slash her. Hondo comes in and pushes her out of the way.
“Are you out of your mind? We can’t stay still, we gotta stay moving so that monster doesn’t catch up to us. Hurry!” He gets Linda to follow him.
When the two get a safe distance from Polybius, they begin to shoot at the creature. Although they’re a good distance away, their bullets do little damage especially Hondo’s shotgun. The shotgun really loses its punch due to the impact being more spread out over longer distances.
Shotgun Ammo: 17
Once it takes a few bullets, Polybius begins to go after the two by running towards them. The creature once again goes after Linda and deals a good punch towards her knocking her down. She does get up as Hondo continues to shoot to get Polybius’s attention towards him. After two shotgun blasts, Polybius does turn around towards Hondo.
Shotgun Ammo: 15
When the creature turns around, it grabs Hondo and simply throws him towards a metal box. He takes a decent amount of damage after hitting the box.
Condition: Caution (Level 1)
Before he can get up, Polybius grabs him by the throat and prepares to thrust its claw into his heart. Hondo loses his grip on his shotgun and prepares for the worst. That is until Linda gets back up and begins to shoot at Polybius. The bullets cause the creature to turn around towards her and drop Hondo on the floor.
When he catches his breath once again he screams, “Linda!”
“Run towards the elevator, don’t worry about me!” She replies.
Hondo decides not to run towards the elevator as he wouldn’t feel right leaving Linda to die. Instead he regains his shotgun and tries to help out Linda. He tries to shoot Polybius, but he has run out of rounds and has to reload.
“Crap, what a bad time to get caught reloading.” He says rushing to reload his shotgun.
While he’s reloading, Polybius already has Linda cornered. Despite her efforts to shoot the creature in the head, it proves to be benign and she is grabbed by the huge superhuman. The creature then throws Linda towards in the air and punches her in mid-air like she was a doll. Linda falls close to the elevator not moving an inch.
“Linda!” Hondo screams in agony and then looks towards Polybius.
He tries to pump a few more shells at Polybius and he begins to weaken the creature somewhat. Despite that though, the creature continues to move towards him at a good pace.
Shotgun Ammo: 12
He sees the creature ready to slash him and he’s barely able to backflip out of the way. The claw barely misses him as he flips back. When he gets back on his feet, he continues to shoot before he’s forced to reload again.
Shotgun Ammo: 8
As he continues to dodge the attacks from Polybius, he tries to find an area where he can reload his weapon. However, Polybius is relentless and continues to chase him throughout the room. Eventually he sees a potential weak spot as it’s heart is exposed.
Before he can use that to his advantage though, the creature begins to run towards him. Hondo tries to get out of the way…
Press “A” and “B” to dodge… Too Slow!
He doesn’t get out in time and Polybius deals out a decent slash to his legs as he’s trying to dive away. His left leg takes a decent cut through the middle and he falls on the ground.
Condition: Caution (Level 2)
Landing on the floor hard, he tries to get up as the creature tries to jump on him. Rolling out of the way, he avoids getting stomped and decides to pull out the gun Dawn gave him. He aims for its heart when it’s open to attack and shoots it in the heart. Once he shoots Polybius in the heart, the creature holds it in pain.
Seeing the creature cry in pain, he realizes that he has hit the weak spot of the creature. However, he’s unable to shoot it in the heart as its huge hands are blocking the heart. Hondo gets up as fast as he can and run to a safe distance from the creature. However, he notices that he is unable to run as fast as he can due to his injuries.
Once Polybius gets up, it becomes angry and pushes towards Hondo. With his injuries, he’s unable to move from the creature’s attack. As a result, he takes the full impact of Polybius’s left fist, which knocks him down. With Hondo on the floor, the creature walks slowly towards him ready to finish him off.
Grabbing him by the throat, Polybius picks up him up and begins to choke him to death. Realizing that he has little time before he dies of asphyxiation and with the bio-weapon’s huge hands, it won’t be long. His right hand becomes numb and he drops the magnum on the floor. Despite that though, his left hand is still live and still has the brass knuckles on the hand. Using the little energy he has, he takes his left hand and throws a haymaker with all this might right into the heart of Polybius.
Condition: Danger
After landing the haymaker, Polybius is hurt and begins to loosen his grip on Hondo until the creature drops him. Catching his breath, he recovers his magnum that he dropped and takes aim at the heart of Polybius.
After a couple of shots with the magnum in the heart of the creature, the creature kneels down in pain. Instead of running though, Hondo walks up and points the Desert Eagle on the creature’s heart.
“You thought you had me, huh? Time to open up a can of kick ass, Hondo style!” He says when he shoots Polybius two more times in the heart killing it.
Magnum Ammo: 10
Once he kills Polybius, it falls on the ground hard face first. After making sure the creature is really dead, he checks on Linda to make sure she’s ok.
“Linda, please get up. Come on… come on!” He begs her to get up.
“Ooohhh… Is that you Hondo?” She asks weakly.
“Yes it’s me, are you ok?” He asks.
“I’m hurt... badly, that monster... hit me good. There’s something… I have to… tell you…” She replies very weakly.
“What?”
“I might be infected… by the… Raven Hawk… virus…”
“No… it can’t be… I’m sure this elevator leads down to the lab. I’ll try to see if I can find a cure for you down there.”
He picks her up as she faints once again. Now he knows that he might have to take a detour within the laboratory to see if he can find a cure for the virus. Once he’s in the elevator, he presses the button to head down. Once the elevator reaches its final destination, he gets off while holding Linda.
Once he’s underground, he is impressed by the size of what turns out to be the underground laboratory of Hybrid in the White Plains area.
“So this is where Linda used to work…” He says in his head.
He walks straight for the first door straight ahead and opens it. Upon entering, he finds himself in the security room that is also equipped with a bed. He lays Linda down on the bed.
“Linda, please get up…” He says.
“Hondo… I’m still alive?”
“Yes you are and we’re getting out of this place together. You’re not going anywhere.”
“Why do you insist... on saving me, after all I worked for the company... that was responsible for all this…”
“You might have worked for Hybrid, but you never knew what their real intentions were.”
“Listen just leave me here, I’ll just hold you back… You’ll be in danger… if you stick too close… to me…”
“No, I’m not leaving you here. If I do we’re only going to be feeding into what Hybrid wants to happen and I’ll be damned if that happens.” He replies sternly.
“I know it looks like I’m not capable of caring about anyone, but I don’t want to lose you.” She says without stuttering.
“Ah… thank you. Just rest up and I’ll be back with something to cure you.”
Before he leaves the room, he decides to heal himself.

Once he heals himself, he explores the room a bit and sees an open locker where there are a few pickups.
Picked up +7 Shotgun Shells. Shotgun Ammo: 15
Picked up a Magnum Clip. Magnum Ammo: 18
Picked up a Green Herbal Mix
Once gathers the goodies, he exits the room and spots a male in the hall. When the male turns around, it turns out to be the chief of the police station.
“Chief Mustang?” Hondo asks.
“Hey what are you doing here?” Mustang asks.
“I should be asking you the same question…”
“Anyway, it looks like you’re trying to skip town as well.”
“Um hmm… Looks like we both got the same idea. Where were you all this time?”
“Running for my life! I told you that station had to be moved, but nobody wanted to listen to me and now look what happened…”
“Listen, even though you might be right, it’s not what I want to talk about. We need to get out of here, is there a transport that leads out of here towards the Rockland Dam?”
“It’s what I’ve heard, but I’m just as clueless as you are.”
“I’ve heard that one before. Anyway, I’m in no position to be playing detective. Me and you need to work together to find a way out of here. You go see if you can find a way out and I’ll explore the lab.”
“Why?”
“I need to find a cure for Linda. She might have been infected by the Raven Hawk virus.”
“Hmm… sounds like she’ll turn into a zombie rather soon.”
“Not if I can stop the process. I’ll catch you later.” He says as he gives a friendly punch to the chief’s shoulder.
Hondo has no idea what he’ll find inside the laboratory and to add to the problem, he still doesn’t know whether he can trust the chief or not.
Chapter 11
Hondo goes through the first lifting door that automatically opens when he gets close by. Then he enters a core like area with a power core in the middle. The fuse seems to be missing from the core. As a result most of the doors in front of him are locked except the one leading to the west side of the lab.
