Ultimate Nightmare Set, page 5
part #1 of Angel's Nightmare Adventure Series
“Whew! There’s nothing here, I was just hearing things. Oh my God… this place is crazy. Am I losing it?” She begins to question her sanity level.
Once she gets back to the main hallway, she heads down to the first floor and towards the dining room. When she gets to the dining room, she sees an Emblem of a small knight’s shield. Seeing it doesn’t look important, she doesn’t pick it up or touch it.
Ignoring the emblem, she heads into the eerie hallway, and heads to the red cherry wood door where she uses the Armor Key to unlock the door.
This key is useless, will you discard? You have chosen yes.
After throwing the Armor Key away, she heads into the room. It’s a mini bar with a baby grand piano. She has the cover for the moonlight sonata, but is missing the actual sheet music. Exploring the room, she doesn’t find anything until she finds a desk. She’s able to pick the lock and looks inside the desk.
Picked up a Pistol Clip. Pistol Ammo: 94
Lockpicking Skill improved to Level 6!
Continuing to the back of the room, she spots sheets of paper stapled together. However, it’s too far high for her to reach.
There is a small step ladder that she grabs and places it below where the sheets are. Climbing the ladder she reaches for the sheets of paper.
Picked up Sheet Music. Upon further examination, this is the sheet music for Moonlight Sonata.
“I wonder what happens if I play this piano, knowing this weird mansion anything’s possible.” She says to herself.
Placing the sheet music on top of the piano, she looks at the notes. As a girl who’s played piano before, she quickly grasps the notes and is able to play the song flawlessly. Once she’s played the song, a wall on the other side of the wall opens exposing a secret area.
Sabrina enters the secret area, where she sees a golden emblem with the same symbol of the Clark Family as the emblem in the dining room. This time, she decides to grab the emblem from where it is.
Picked up a Gold Emblem.
After picking up the emblem, the wall behind her closes and she’s trapped in the secret area. She inserts the emblem back into the hole and the wall reopens. Putting her thinking cap on, she decides to head back to the dining room and grab the emblem from there.
Picked up an Emblem.
Heading back to the bar where the secret area is located, she swaps the gold emblem with the emblem in her hand.
Picked up a Gold Emblem.
She heads back to the dining room and inserts the gold emblem into the hole. After inserting the emblem, she hears clock go off in the dining room. To her shock the clock begins to move and she heads to the clock to see. Behind where the clock was is a key.
Picked up a Mansion Key.
Sabrina CHECKS the key. Turing the key around, she sees a picture of a Shield.
Picked up a Shield Key. Used to open the door leading to the attic.
After picking up the key she makes her way to where she found Kenny before. Kenny is still not there and she becomes concerned that he might be in trouble.
“Kenny, where are you? I hope he’s ok.” She calls out his name.
Sabrina heads into the dusty hallway and makes her way up to the wooden door leading to the attic. Using the Shield Key, she opens the door to the attic.
This key is useless now, will you discard? You have chosen yes.
After discarding the key, she looks around the attic and spots an attic that is mostly been abandoned. Using her good vision, she spots what seems to be another crest in the back of the room. However, when she walks to the back of the room a huge snake pops out.
“Oh lord… I guess that’s the thing that bit Kenny…” She says nervously as the snake sticks out its tongue.
Boss: Huge Snake (Yawn)
The snake attempts to bite Sabrina, but she’s able to dodge from the attack. Pulling out her shotgun, she begins to shoot the snake with several shells. While the bullets do some damage, the snake continues to move. The snake moves in a circular motion ready to trap Sabrina in its grasps.
Shotgun Ammo: 16
“Oh no, this is not good at all! Thomas, Barry help!” She screams.
The door is open and Kenny busts into the attic. He is not sporting his green vest. Instead he has his orange shirt with his tactical pants. Kenny also sports a patch to cover the snake bite along with a tactical shotgun.
“Alright you snake freak! It’s time for sweet revenge!” He screams determined to kill the snake that bit him before.
“Kenny, am I glad to see you!” She screams happily, but screams again when the snake goes after him.
“Kenny, watch out!” She screams.
He shoots the snake in the mouth stopping the snake for a quick moment. The two of them begin to shoot the snake and the snake goes after Sabrina again.
Press “A” and “B” to dodge the attack… Good!
Shotgun Ammo: 12
She’s able to avoid the attack and rolls out of the way as Kenny continues to shoot his shotgun. After getting up, Sabrina helps out Kenny and between them they weaken the snake even further. The snake crawls up to the ceiling and attempts to fly down towards Sabrina.
“No!” Kenny pushes Sabrina as the snake is heading down.
Shotgun Ammo: 9
The snake lands on its head and goes down on the floor. Kenny and Sabrina make sure the snake is dead. The snake doesn’t move.
“Whew! Thanks for helping me Kenny. A minute later and I would have been snake food.” She thanks Kenny.
“Ah… don’t mention it.” He replies happily.
Before the two can calm down though the snake opens its eyes and sets its sights on Sabrina. Kenny looks behind him and sees the snake has opened its eyes. The snake gets up and goes for Sabrina.
“Sabrina no!” He screams as he pushes her out of the way.
This time though, the snake grabs Kenny by the mouth and eats him alive.
“No! Kenny!” She screams in agony as she watches her partner from the Bravo team be eaten up in whole.
Seeing her shotgun ammo is low, she pulls out her grenade launcher. She remembers what Thomas said.
“It’s a weapon. It’s really powerful, especially against living things.” She remembers Thomas’s words.
She loads the acid rounds into the grenade launcher. She begins to shoot a couple of rounds to the snake, which weakens it a bit. The snake shakes off the blasts and goes after her again.
Acid Rounds: 10
Press “A” and “B” to dodge… Not good enough!
She is unable to get out of the way of the snake’s bite and the bite proves to be venomous as well.
Condition: Poison. You will lose health every 2 minutes.
The snake attempts to go after her again. This time, Sabrina simply runs from the snake despite the fact the venom has caused her to go dizzy. She shoots the snake with another acid round, but her limited vision causes her to miss the snake as it comes to her biting her again.
Despite being bitten once again, she’s still alive. However, she’s in bad shape. Even though she’s in bad shape, she manages to muster up enough energy to run from the snake and get to the back of the room. She waits for the snake to get close as she’s unable to see well in order to shoot it.
As the snake approaches her, she unloads as many acid rounds as she can until the gun jams up on her. When the gun jams up, she braces for impact. However, the snake is blinded by the acid and decides to leave the attic by climbing up to the roof. Sabrina is relieved that the snake is gone, but knows it will return soon after it gathers itself.
Acid Rounds: 5
With the energy she has remaining she heads to the crest to pick it up.
Picked up a Moon Crest. A fourth crest, is this the final one?
After grabbing the crest, she falls on her knees as the effects of being poisoned are catching up to her. She knows if she falls asleep, there’s a good chance she could possibly die from the venom in her system. Limping to the door, she goes down the stairs.
Once she reaches the bottom, the venom becomes too much for her to handle and she faints…
Sabrina has fainted…
A stranger picks her up and transfers her to the medical room. Once she’s in the medical room, the man injects her with a shot of serum. After about a half hour, Sabrina opens her eyes.
“Huh? Where am I? I feel much better now, but how did I end up here? I was in the attic when I defeated that snake. Who took me here though? Was it Thomas, Barry, or Harry?” She asks how she ended up in the medical room despite getting back to normal.
Condition: Danger
Sabrina uses a First Aid Spray.
Condition: Fine
She begins to cry after losing Kenny. After all, she owes that man her life. In fact, at one point she was developing a crush for him. Sabrina is the kind of girl who doesn’t deal with death easily, so it will take time for her to recover. However, she knows crying isn’t going to help her escape the horror.
Upon getting up, she looks under the bed and sees a lock that she can pick that she didn’t see before. Picking the lock, she finds a green box inside.
Picked up a First Aid Box. Sabrina opens the box and finds a Green Herb.
Lockpicking Skill improved to Level 7!
When she leaves the medical room, she decides to head back to the east side of the mansion in an attempt to unlock the gated door that she was unable to pick before. She heads through the first floor until she gets to the hallway with the broken windows. When she gets there, one of the dead zombies get right up and begins to run after her.
The crimson faced zombie attempt to slash her, but she runs from the zombie and through the double doors into the dark hallway that leads to the courtyard. As she gets closer to the locked door, the crimson face zombie busts through the door and chases her. The zombie grabs her, but Sabrina is prepared with her survival knife and stabs the zombie with her knife.
With the zombie weakened, she kills the zombie with her pistol in order to conserve her ammo for the bigger weapons.
Pistol Ammo: 87
She heads to the gate and tries to pick the door again. After about a minute struggling with the lock, she is able to unlock the gate and enter the courtyard entrance path. As she enters the courtyard entrance, she spots a dog walking along. Deciding she wants to gain the upper hand, she shoots the dog with a well placed shoot to its head.
Pistol Ammo: 86
After shooting the dog once, she rushes with her survival knife and stabs the dog while it’s still on the ground. As painful as it is to kill the dog in the manner she did, she knows it’s that or be eaten.
Once the dog is dead, a pool of blood begins to build on the cement floor and heads into the flowers next to the path. She approaches the door leading to the courtyard, but the door is locked. A panel is next to it though with 4 hexagonal holes. Now she realizes that’s what the crests were for.
Inserting all four of the crests in their proper holes, the door to the garden shed opens. Entering the shed, she sees some a couple of items on the counter by the plant food and fertilizer.
Picked up a jar of Gunpowder B.
Picked up a jar of Gunpowder C.
Picked up a Square Crank. It’s a crank with a square end.
She sees two doors, one leading to the courtyard, and one leading to the cemetery. The door to the cemetery is blocked by a metal box. Sabrina tries to move it, but the box is too heavy and she is unable to move it at all. She marks that path off limits until somebody else can move the box. Sabrina knows she has to go through the courtyard whether she likes it or not.
Before she opens the door, she hears the roar that she has been hearing all night. However, it’s different from that of the snake.
Chapter 7
Sabrina opens the double doors and heads into the courtyard where she spots a couple of herbs.
Picked up a Green and Blue Herb. Sabrina mixes them together and creates an herb that heals poison along with a small amount of health.
After grabbing the herbs, she finds herself seeing the main courtyard that has a unused fountain. There are few lamps that illuminate the area, but they flicker in and out at times. There are three dogs surrounding the fountain, they’re walking slowly waiting for their next victim. Pulling out her grenade launcher with the standard rounds, she aims at the dogs ready to blow them to pieces. However, the dogs spot her and they rush towards her.
She shoots a standard grenade at the dogs, but their speed proves to be too fast and the grenade misses them. The grenade hits the fountain instead destroying it into pieces along with the Roman Plebeian that was on the top. The dogs all attack her getting some decent shots at her.
Condition: Caution (Level 1)
The dogs run back and turn around ready to attack her again. Two of the dogs rush towards her trying to jump on her.
Press “A” and “B” to dodge… Nice!
Sabrina is able to dodge the dogs, but the third dog grabs her left arm from behind. The dog attempts to rip her arm off, she is able to hit the dog on the head with the grenade launcher. The dog loosens its grip on her and she swings the dog towards the other 2. The dogs land close to the wall where the herbs were located. She finally gets a shot with the grenade launcher and blasts the dogs.
Standard Grenades: 11
Condition: Caution (Level 2)
Her arm is beginning to bleed badly and she needs to find something to cover the wound. She finds something on the bench.
Picked up a Green Herb. Sabrina uses the Green Herb.
Condition: Caution (Level 1)
She rubs the herb on her wounded arm. While the herb does take the sting and heals the wound a bit, it doesn’t heal it completely. She’ll hope to find a cloth to cover the wound entirely. She sees the gate ahead leading her further into the courtyard and she heads through it.
A pool can be seen and a small cement block where a square hole exists. Seeing she has a small crank, she decides to use it and see what happens. Turning the crank the best she can despite the pain on her left arm, she finally gets something to happen.
The floodgates open and the water flows out of the pool. The pool reveals a path that she can use to reach the other side. When the water goes down, she can hear water running from a far away place. Going down the ladder, she gets on the path and then uses the ladder on the other side to climb to the other side. Despite her injured arm, she gets up the ladder.
When she gets to the other side, small venomous snakes come out the bushes. Sabrina runs away as she can before the snakes get too close and bites her. She sees an elevator close to her location and she runs toward it. However, more snakes come out and one of them manages to bite her.
Condition: Poison
She becomes poisoned as she heads into the elevator. She takes the elevator up to the waterfall that is running and realizes that is what she was hearing. There are a couple of dogs on the other side of the waterfall close to an elevator. The dogs wake up and begin to give chase. She spots a huge gate and decides not to risk her arm, so she runs from the dogs. She busts through the gate and slams the gate before the dogs can enter.
The dogs jump onto the gate trying to open the door and they bark loudly as they’re hungry for food. She runs away from the gate and goes through the path wondering where she’ll end up next. The only thing that she can see is the moonlight shining down on the vines on the wall.
More snakes come down from the vines and she tries to run but falls on the count of becoming dizzy due to the effects of the snake bite. Her vision becomes blurry and she is only able to see one snake that is dangerously close to her.
Press “A” and “B” to roll… Well done.
She barely rolls out of the way from the snake and it rushes in trying to bite her. Using the energy she does have, she gets up and continues on down the path to get away from the snakes.
After getting away from the zombies, she rests until the dizziness passes by. She gets a page on Kenny’s radio a minute later.
“Hey, is anyone there? If anyone can hear me, please let me know!” Brad over on the radio says.
“Brad, it’s me Sabrina! Brad!” She tries to respond, but gets no response.
“I repeat, if anyone is around give me a signal or anything!” Brad screams on the radio.
“Brad! It’s me, can you hear me? Oh damn, this thing is busted!” She says flustered while banging on the radio as hard as she can.
Despite not getting in contact with Brad, the pilot, her dizziness passes and she gets up to see what’s at the end of the path. Reaching the end of the path, she sees a heavy screen door. Looking at the door, she realizes that she has bumped into the guardhouse for the mansion. As nervous as she is to enter the guardhouse, she knows she has a better chance to find something to cover her arm.
She enters through the door and finds herself in a hallway with a hardwood floor along with walls that are not necessarily in good shape. Now that she’s inside, she decides to use a herb.
Sabrina uses the Green and Blue herb mix. Poison condition cured.
Condition: Caution (Level 1)
She sees a box ahead and by some gardening tools, she spots a couple of herbs.
Picked a Red and Blue Herb.
After picking up the herbs, she spots two doors. She decides to go into the door to her right and ends up in the medical room for the guardhouse. Her arm begins to act up again and begins to bleed again. The door opens and Sabrina is alarmed, but calms down when she realizes that it’s Thomas.
“Thomas! Where have you been?” She asks.
“I just got here, looks like we’ll have to investigate this house to see if there’s a back exit. Whoa! I just realized this area is dangerous.” He says.
“You just realized that now?” She asks sarcastically.
“Ah… no I’m just worried.” He answers.
“About what? These monsters, right?” She asks.
“I guess so, this place is so crazy. What happened to your arm?” He spots her wounded arm.
“One of those dogs got me good…” She says while in pain.
“I got a cloth to cover that up for you.” He says as he begins to tie her arm with the cloth.
