  “Yes, let’s do this!”

  “Alright! Grab the keycard and let’s go in.”

  After the long conversation, the two of them head into the bus depot.

  Chapter 9

  Hondo and Linda enter the bus depot finding themselves in the main hallway. They head directly towards the back of the bus depot looking for the secret entrance. They actually are able to get into the back without incident. However, a shaft blocks their progress. Next to the shaft is a panel to enter a passcode that is 8 digits long and would take forever to crack by process of elimination.

  “Damn it looks like there’s something big behind there.” Hondo says

  “Yup I remember taking this entrance one day. It’s the entrance to the lab or at least an alternative entrance.” Linda responds.

  “You have any idea where the passcode could be?” He asks.

  “I’ll double back to the security room and see if I can find the code there. You stay here in case you find anything here.” She answers.

  “You sure you’re good without a gun?”

  “Actually I found one from a dead guard, not sure how good I’ll be using it. However, it’s better than nothing and besides we’re better off splitting up so we can explore more.” She says as she leaves he depot.

  Hondo can’t help but be impressed by the determination of Linda. He begins to feel a bit better as he begins to see Linda possibly more useful than previously thought.

  Once Linda leaves, he begins to explore some of the rooms. He enters the first room that is in front of the entrance. Upon entering, he spots a couple of pickups.

  Picked up a First Aid Spray.

  Picked up a Pistol Clip. Pistol Ammo: 73

  He finds nothing else in the storage room, so he leaves and continues to explore the depot. There is another door on the other side of the hallway, but it’s locked and needs a key to open. The room reads, “Manager’s Office”.

  “Hmm… the passcode might be in there.” He says.

  Turning around, he sees the windows break and the depot becomes infested with zombies that break through. Pulling out his pistol he shoots a couple of them dead.

  Pistol Ammo: 66

  However, he has to reload his weapon and has no time to do so as the other zombies pouncing on him. Putting his pistol away for now, he goes into melee combat. At first, he punches the first two zombies in the face quite easily, but he becomes overwhelmed as more zombies enter his location.

  Despite his excellent boxing and fighting skills it becomes five on one and the zombies eventually get the upper hand. One zombie begins to bite Hondo and he goes down as the other zombies get on top of him. He begins to fight for his life and begins punching like crazy hoping he can break out of the dire situation.

  However, the zombies eventually begin to bite him like crazy and Hondo braces for death. A few seconds later the entrance door opens and machine gun fire is heard. It’s Dawn and she comes in to clean house killing all the zombies in the hallway.

  Condition: Danger

  After killing the zombies, Dawn goes to check on Hondo and sees that he is bleeding rather badly.

  “Oh Hondo, you look terrible. That’s the second time I’ve had to save you.” She says.

  “I didn’t mean to scare you or hinder you… Oh man…” He says in pain.

  “It’s not that, I’m just worried that you might catch the Raven Hawk virus. Not to mention these monsters have tore the leather jacket I gave you making you more open to catch the virus.”

  “I’ll be fine Dawn… agghhh…”

  “No Hondo, I need to find some something to cover that wound. Just stay there I’ll be right back. There has to be a medical room here somewhere. They can’t be that retarded to not have a medical room.” She says.

  Dawn’s Playthrough

  Items:

  Assault Rifle: 95%. An Assault Rifle obtained from a dead Swat Team Officer. Effective for large groups of the undead.

  Magnum: 10 Bullets. Desert Eagle .50AE Magnum. Dawn’s Personal Handgun. It’s quite a big handgun for a girl, but packs a whole lot of punch.

  First Aid Spray.

  Lockpick. A lockpick to easily pick simple locks and open doors.

  Condition: Fine

  Dawn is a crafty young woman who is rather brave despite her good looks. She is able to unlock simple locks using her lockpick and has better agility than Hondo. Dawn does sacrifice her endurance in exchange for higher intelligence and can’t take as many hits.

  Dawn heads towards the hallway leading to the back of the bus depot. She sees a door to her left that is locked with a rather simple lock.

  Dawn uses her lockpick.

  Using her lockpick, she unlocks the door easily and enters a dark concrete hallway with a set of stairs leading down. A zombie grabs her from behind and she’s unable to get away in time. The zombie lands a decent bite on her. Dawn elbows the zombie in the head and pushes it back. Turning around she kicks the zombie and kills it with her assault rifle.

  Condition: Caution (Level 1)

  Once she kills the zombie, she heads down the stairs and opens the door. When she opens the door, she finds herself in the basement hallway. The hallway has a bright white light and has a drop ceiling along with huge pipes running along the hall. As Dawn walks through the hall, she gets to the middle of the hall and is ambushed by a couple of fleshers in front of her and behind her.

  “Crap this is not good…” She says nervously.

  The flesher in front of her tries to strike her with its tongue, she’s able to sidestep the attack. Dawn kills the flesher in front of her with her assault rifle. She doesn’t get too much time to recover though as the other flesher makes a loud scream and begins to jump at her trying to behead her.

  Assault Rifle Ammo: 93%

  Press “A” and “B” to duck… Well Done!

  She ducks in time, but the blade of the flesher strikes her gun and she loses her grip on the rifle.

  “Damn, he hit my gun out of my hand!” She says shocked.

  After the flesher gets back on the ground, she stands defenseless as the flesher comes and slashes her on the leg.

  Condition: Caution (Level 2)

  She begins to back away trying to get some room and the creatures tries to hit her with the tongue again. Once again, she’s able to duck under the sharp tongue attack. Getting up, she hears the creature scream its signature screech and sees its ready to jump at her once again to her side. Pulling out her Desert Eagle, she quickly shoots the creature in the head killing it instantly.

  Magnum Ammo: 9

  “Damn I’m good!” She says as she blows her gun barrel arrogantly.

  After the near death experience, she picks up her rifle and continues through the hall. She sees a couple of doors that are locked and require keys to be opened. Despite her attempts, she’s unable pick either of the doors. Heading to the door ahead of her, she opens the door and finds herself in a huge warehouse area. The warehouse is used to keep parts such as engines, tires, pistons, and other bus parts.

  On the bottom level, she sees a horde of zombies looking for blood. She mops the floor of the zombies with the Assault Rifle. Looking behind her, more zombies go after her. Keeping her cool, she’s able to kill off the zombies easily.

  Assault Rifle Ammo: 91%

  Once the room is cleared, she looks up at the security room above and tries to figure out how to get there figuring that one of the keys for the locked doors is around there. The more she looks around though, the more she realizes that there is no way to the security room from her location.

  “There has to be a way up there! Come on Dawn, think of something…” She says in her mind.

  Walking around, she sees a small ladder that leads to the security room window. The only problem is that she is unable to reach it. Turning around, she sees a wooden plank that she can walk through and next to it is a forklift. Dawn comes up with the ingenious idea of using the forklift to reach the storage unit in order to walk through the plank.

  She hops into the forklift and turns it around to face the storage unit. After that, she lifts the forklift paddles up close to the storage units. The forklift is now set up. Dawn carefully climbs up the forklift and gets onto the paddles and then she jumps onto the storage unit. Once she gets to the storage unit, she sees a pickup.

  Picked up a Blue Herb.

  Walking towards the plank, she is ambushed by a guerilla who lays a decent punch knocking her down to the ground.

  Condition: Danger

  The gorilla tries to perform a double-axe handle on Dawn, but she is able to roll out of the way. Shooting a few rounds from her assault rifle into the eyes of the creature, she blinds the gorilla for temporarily. Getting up, she pulls out her Desert Eagle and prepares to blow out the primate’s brains.

  “Just another failed experiment from Hybrid!” She says and pulls the trigger.

  Magnum Ammo: 8

  Despite the blood falling on her, she doesn’t mind and finds slight pleasure in killing the creature.

  “These Hybrid bastards need to stop messing with our animals. Hell will come down for these guys soon enough.” She has some tough words for Hybrid.

  Dawn USES First Aid Spray

  Condition: Fine

  Carefully she walks across the wooden plank until she sees a hook coming straight at her. With almost no time, she’s forced to jump off the platform to avoid being killed by the hook. She gets down safely, but the wooden platform is broken by the hook. Looking around she sees that both of the windows in the security room are open.

  “Did somebody try to cancel me just now?” She asks herself in a concerned tone.

  Dawn begins to get the idea of a traitor or a worker for Hybrid trying to make sure no one from law enforcement survives. After barely dodging the trap, she sees that her way to the storage units on the other side is no longer there.

  She heads back onto the forklift and starts it again. Once started, she backs it up towards the other side. When she gets to the middle of the room though, she notices that the forklift stops dead in its tracks. Getting off, she realizes that the battery has died out.

  However, she spots a chest like box where the forklift was blocking before and pulls it out. Deciding to open the box, she finds something which will prove to be useful.

  Picked up a Hookshot. This small device is useful for getting to hard to reach areas by hooking onto a wall. The user can use the chain to travel up to the spot they want to reach. Must be hooked onto wood.

  After getting the hookshot, she decides to use her new toy by hooking onto a wooden box and riding up to the other side. Once she gets up to the storage unit, the ladder is within reach. Before she can get onto the ladder though, a huge monster comes out of the wall on the storage unit. The force is enough to send Dawn down to the floor.

  Mini Boss: Polybius X

  The creature turns out to be Polybius from the Clark Family Mansion in Upstate New York. However, this time it seems a little work has been done on Polybius. It has an upgraded attack capable of dealing out even more damage along with higher endurance and speed. Hence the code name Polybius X.

  Polybius grabs the ladder and rips it from the wall and throws it down taking away the way for Dawn to get to the security room. The big superhuman jumps down while trying to thrust its claw into Dawn.

  Press “A” and “B” to roll out of the way… Good!

  She rolls out of the way quickly and Polybius’s claw hits the concrete floor instead. Dawn who’s nervous as heck pulls out her assault rifle and begins to empty bullets into Polybius. While the bullets have some effect on the creature, it doesn’t slow it down one bit.

  Assault Rifle Ammo: 87%

  Seeing the creature get too close, she rolls to her left and dodges a claw attack by Polybius. Shooting a few more rounds, she repeats the same process and thinks that she has found a pattern that she can take advantage of.

  Within a minute though, Polybius changes up its pattern and begins to rush towards her. She has no time to get up and the creature slaps her down using its huge left hand.

  Condition: Caution (Level 1)

  She somersaults quickly backwards to get away from Polybius and finds a box in front of her. Polybius prepares to slash her with its claw. As the creature is attacking, she kicks the box in front of it and rolls back again. Polybius ends up slashing the box instead, giving Dawn time to recover.

  Polybius begins to get angry and grabs the forklift like it was nothing in order to throw it to Dawn. With nowhere to go and no room to dodge, she hooks herself up to the right storage area by using the hookshot on the wooden box.

  When she gets to the storage unit above, she begins to shoot Polybius from above and aims for its head. The creature kneels in pain and she tries to run towards the ladder forgetting that it’s no longer there. Seeing Polybius get up, she reloads her Desert Eagle. Polybius climbs up easily to where Dawn is and she spots a possible weak spot which is its heart. However, she’s unable to get a clear shot on the creature’s heart.

  The creature gets close to Dawn and she shoots two shots from her Desert Eagle. She falls back a bit due to the recoil of the weapon. Polybius holds its heart in pain and falls to the ground to Dawn’s relief. Not bothering to look at Polybius, she looks for a way up to the security room.

  Magnum Ammo: 6

  Seeing a small wooden bulletin board, she aims her hookshot at it. Shooting the hookshot, it latches onto the wooden board and she lifts herself up to the room. Entering the room, she rolls down to the floor and retracts the hook on the device. Looking around she doesn’t see much except for a lone pickup on the table.

  Picked up a Green Herbal Mix.

  The security room has access to all of the security cameras, which are all out on the DVR. Also there are computers around that control access throughout the depot. Only one is operational and she decides to give it a go to see if she can find the passcode or anything useful.

  After logging out, she realizes that she has to get into the door where Hondo is lying down by. Next to the computer is a locked desk that can easily picked. Using her lockpick, she unlocks the desk and finds a key along with a cloth to cure Hondo.

  Picked up a Small Key. This key is used to open doors that have a single deadbolt installed on them.

  Carefully opening the door to exit the security room, she heads down the stairs. All of a sudden, she hears a hissing noise that is characteristic of the flesher. Realizing she doesn’t have to fight it if she’s quiet, she goes down the stairs quietly.

  “At least I was wise enough to leave the real high heeled boots at home. Should help is keeping me quiet at the expense of looking a little less feminine.” She says in her head.

  After carefully getting down to the bottom of the stairs, she still hears the hissing from the flesher, but ignores it mentally. Heading to the door, she unlocks the deadbolt latch and opens the door slowly. With the door fully open, she exits quickly and back into the basement hallway.

  “Whew…” She sighs.

  Using the small key that she got from the security room, she enters power room. Entering the power room, she sees a large amount of zombies in the room. She kills the initial group of zombies with her assault rifle.

  Assault Rifle Ammo: 84%

  Despite killing the horde, she knows that there are more that are hiding behind the transformers. So she’ll have to tread carefully. Walking into the room deeper, she notices that the door behind her is locked and power in that part of the room is off.

  Going around the transformers, she spots one zombie and kills it right away. Going through the path of transformers, she spots a stairway leading to the power distribution area. Walking straight through, a part of the ceiling begins to fall on her.

  Press “A” and “B” to backflip… Well Done!

  She backflips out of the way and avoids the debris. The most direct route is now blocked by the debris. Going around the debris, she notices a huge spider drops from the ceiling and spits a poison spit at her. Unable to get out of the way, she becomes poisoned.

  Condition: Poison

  Feeling weak, she is unable to get a shot at the spider before it tackles her to the ground. From the floor, she shoots frantically trying to kill the spider. After quite a few shots, she does kill the spider.

  Assault Rifle Ammo: 78%

  Trying to get up after being poisoned, she continues to move towards the stairway and falls to the ground. Her nerves begin to numb at an alarming fast rate, but with no source of water nearby, she has to fight through the weakness. Limping to the stairway, she begins to go up the stairs. As she goes up the stairs though, the metal stairs collapse to the ground.

  Her vision becomes blurry and she has a tough time seeing even with her glasses. About a minute later, she focuses her vision and sees a small wooden block on top of the door. Using her hookshot, she latches on the wooden block and lifts herself to the platform near the door.

  Opening the door, she sees a red switch that has been pulled to the off position. A simple flick to the on position is enough to turn on the lights and unlock the door. She sees an open vent giving her a clue that once again somebody was around trying to hinder her progress.

  In her poisoned state though, she doesn’t have much time to think and sees another chest like box that she opens…
