He stays on the move and rolling to prevent himself from being crushed by the huge frog. Eventually the frog stops hopping and he wait for it to open its mouth. Hondo kills the frog with two shells when the frog opens its mouth despite being drenched on by the downpour.

Once the coast is clear, he turns the other two valves and shuts down the filtration system.

“Filtration system is down.” Hondo says to George over his bluetooth.

“Excellent, only the main intake pumps left.” George responds.

After shutting down the filtration system, he makes his way to the intake pump room where the blue clarifier is located. Opening the door, he enters the intake pump room. He calls George to ask him what needs to be done.

“Ok… I’m in the main intake pump room, now what?”

“Shut them down and close them up. Remember though, you need to shut down the pumps before closing off the values. If you do it wrong the pressure in the tubes will cause them to explode and we’ll have no way to stop the contamination. So pay attention to what you’re doing!” George explains to Hondo.

Hondo goes up the ladder and sees three valves. Upon reading the signs though, he sees that they are for the main lock and should not be touched before shutting down the pumps.

So he heads down the ladder and sees a valve next to each tube. The signs on each read that they are the pump controls. He heads towards the red pump and turns the valve. He can hear the water draining and he proceeds to do the same for each of the other two valves.

After shutting down all the intake pumps, he hears a loud boom of thunder. Ignoring the jump scare, he heads up the ladder and locks the pumps by turning the three main valves upstairs. Hondo sees the red light indicating that the sewage intake pumps have been shut down and the contamination will probably come to halt. Hondo gets a call on his bluetooth from George.

“Shit! It looks like Chief Mustang is going to plan B!” George screams.

“What do you mean plan B?” Hondo asks.

“They are using the lock system in the basement of the main facility to dump the Raven Hawk Virus directly into the outgoing supply! Get your ass over there Hondo, we got less time than we thought!

To the shock of Hondo, his celebration will have to wait as Mustang had a backup plan in case of the odd chance that Hondo was able to foil the main plan. He has to rush to the basement of the facility and get to the lock system in the basement.

  Chapter 6

Hondo rushes to the basement of the facility and finds the door that leads down there escaping the downpours as the thunderstorm picks up. Upon entering, he finds several boxes that contain various pickups.

Picked up three First Aid Sprays.

Hondo uses a First Aid Spray.

  Condition: Fine

Picked up +14 Shotgun Shells. Shotgun Ammo: 25

Picked up a Machine Gun Drum. Contains 100% for the Machine Gun.

Picked up a Magnum Clip. Could be useful for Dawn.

Once he gets all the goodies, he heads through the door and sees the stairs leading to the lower level of the basement area. When he goes down the stairs, he opens the door and finds himself in a huge room where the main locks are located. Then George explains how the locks work from the communication station.

“There are two valves per lock that you’ll need to use to override the system. Turn them and that should stop the contamination.” George explains.

“Thanks for the tip!” Hondo replies.

All of a sudden, the alarm sounds indicating that the contamination is starting to run through the yellow line. He sees a platform above the water lines and climbs the ladder to the platform. He heads towards the valve near the actual pipe and turns it. Turning around, he gets back on the platform as he tries to find the other valve.

He sees the other valve on the other side of the line by the water. Heading down to the water, she heads towards the valve and turns it. The alarm stops buzzing, which indicates that the lock has been overridden and the contamination on the yellow line has been halted.

He heads up the ladder next to him and goes back to the main platform waiting to stop the next line. However, the gate on the yellow line breaks and all of a sudden an unfamiliar creature pops out from the broken gate.

“Holy shit, what the hell is that thing? Looks like a huge mutated human with a mutated midget molded into him! You gotta be kidding me, not now when the fate of NYC is in my hands!” Hondo screams.

“Well, whatever that thing is you better take it out before you try to shut the locks down.” George responds.

  Boss: Eon and Peon

Eon and Peon is a huge creature created by two mutated humans combined into one. Eon is the bigger human who has huge claws and quite the chubby body. Peon is the midget sized human and is capable of spitting burning acid that burns quite badly. It jumps from the water onto the platform with Hondo backing away quickly.

He pulls out his heavy machine gun and begins to shoot the gun at Eon and Peon. Despite the many shots he shoots at the creature, it doesn’t slow down and it tries to slash him with its claws.

Press “A” and “B” to dodge… Well Done!

Hondo is able to backflip out of the claw attack and gets back on the attack. Eon attacks him repeatedly and Hondo backs away as he continuously dodges from the attacks. While backing away he keeps firing at the creature, he begins to run out of room on the platform and falls to the main floor.

  Machine Gun Ammo: 62%

Hondo runs from Eon and Peon and tries to get some room. However, the creature jumps in front of him and takes a huge slash at him.

Press “A” and “B” to dodge… Too Slow!

He’s able to dive, but still takes a decent amount of damage from the attack hitting him on the leg. Falling to the ground, Hondo hears the alarm go off again.

“Contamination is spreading on Blue Line, turn the lock on immediately.”

“Oh hell no… that’s the last thing I needed to hear… I totally forgot I had to override the locks. Crap… I gotta get up and find a way to defeat this bastard!” Hondo says as things just picked up with the alarm going off as he totally forgot he has to stop the poison from getting into the main water supply.

  Condition: Caution (Level 2)

Getting up as quickly as he can, he is able to slide under another vial attack by Eon. So far Peon has been a non-factor, but Hondo knows that could change at anytime. He continues to shoot the creature with his machine gun looking for anything his way to happen.

“Aghhhhh!!!” Hondo screams as he shoots at Eon and Peon non-stop.

  Machine Gun Ammo: 30%

He sees his ammo is getting low, but Eon is beginning to bleed indicating that the creature could be weakening. However, Eon grabs Hondo and throws him into the water of the blue line.

  Condition: Danger

Taking a beating, he gets up and uses a first-aid spray.

Hondo uses a First Aid Spray.

  Condition: Fine

Taking advantage of falling into the blue line, he goes to turn the first valve while Eon and Peon continue to walk around. He climbs the ladder back to the platform and sees the creature jumping into the water. He takes advantage of the creature being in the water to run to the other valve as time is running out before the chemicals get through. Getting to the other valve, he turns it and locks the chemicals in the blue line.

“Whew... one more to go!” Hondo says to himself.

He goes to look for Eon and Peon and still sees the creature in the water. He decides to lay the bullets on the creature weakening it. Before he gets too excited though, the creature jumps up and lands on the platform next to Hondo. He runs away to get some distance and shoots the creature once again.

Peon begins to get into the battle by spitting its acid attack and some of the acid hits Hondo. The acid is extremely harmful and has a PH level of 0, which is the equivalent of battery acid. The acid hits him and begins to burn though his skin.

“Crap this shit is some rancid shit, I better be careful. This bastard is trying to burn me!” Hondo says in pain.

  Condition: Caution (Level 1)

While shooting, Hondo hops around the room avoiding the acid spit attack by Peon. Diving to the right, he shoots Eon and Peon while the acid spit misses him to his left and right. His determination on his face says it all that he’s willing to do anything to save his city.

When he lands on the platform, he shoots until Eon and Peon go down on the ground. He sees that the creature is on the ground, but he’s not convinced that the creature is dead. So he reloads his machine gun and walks towards the creature.

“Eat this you freak!” Hondo screams as he kills off the creature with the machine gun.

  Machine Gun Ammo: 95%

“Oh my god! This bastard is bleeding acid, like his whole body was made out of acid. This creature wasn’t even living on blood, but instead it was living on battery acid! What kind of zoo is Hybrid trying to run? Is this what our future is?” Hondo says in shock.

“It will be if you don’t lock the final pipe. Oh… and another thing… whatever you do, for the love of God don’t touch that creature’s blood. That shit can kill you.” George responds.

“No worries, I know that first hand. I’m going to override the last lock.” He says as he turns the two valves for the red line and completes his mission.

“Yes! It’s finally over!” Hondo says happily.

“Yup, I agree with that. Well… if you look at that, my chopper is just arrived. I’ll come get you in a few.”

“Sounds good to me hermano!” Hondo says feeling accomplished.

George, Elza, and Anne see the chopper and prepare to enter. However, Elza hears a loud alarm coming from the station.

“Wait a minute… George!” Elza screams.

  “What’s wrong?” He asks.

“I hear an alarm going off. I think something happened. I could be wrong though, but I don’t think so.” Elza answers.

“Let me see…” George heads to the computer and sees that the situation is worse than he thought.

  “What happened?” Elza asks.

“Oh no… It’s worse than I thought! I was afraid of this. I gotta tell Hondo!” George answers.

  “Hondo!”

  “What’s up hermano?”

“I hate to say it, but we’re not done here. Looks like Mustang had a plan C and is executing it as we speak.”

  “What plan C?”

“I was afraid of this, you see there is this really bad loophole that the dam has and I been trying to get these people to fix for the longest.”

“Crap that doesn’t sound good George.”

“It isn’t… there is a bypass within the dam in the back where the water flows towards the reservoir and any foreign object can be thrown into that bypass. That foreign object will travel into the reservoir.”

“With all due respect, but can you get to the point?” Hondo asks.

“Sure, in layman’s terms, Mustang has found a way to dump the Raven Hawk Virus right into the water supply of NYC!”

“What! There’s gotta be a way to stop those chemicals! You can’t be saying that I did all this for nothing!”

“If those chemicals get through the dam, then yes you did waste your time. There is hope, but we have to shut off the turbines in the dam mechanical room.”

  “Shit, I’m on my way!”

“You can go to the dam, but you won’t make it in time. According to the computer, those chemicals are due to break into the reservoir in only 6 minutes. Those chemicals will make it by the time you even get to the tram station in the dam. Our only hope is Dawn.”

“It’s a good thing you left her there. I’m on my way there anyway.”

  ***

Dawn decides to go towards the dam and try to meet up with Hondo until she gets called by George.

“Hey George, did Hondo succeed at the waterworks?”

“Yes he did, but what I’m about to tell you just negated all that.”

  “That doesn’t sound good.”

“It isn’t Dawn, it appears that Mustang found a way to dump the chemicals right towards the main water supply!”

  “No! That monster, he wouldn’t…”

“I’m afraid he has… get back to the dam, now!”

Dawn runs from the back of the dam in a last ditch effort to save NYC’s water supply.

  Chapter 7

  Dawn’s Playthrough

Dawn runs from the tram station back to the back streets leading to the rest of Rockland County. She sees a few strikers that she kills easily with her assault rifle.

“You need to get those main systems offline before they circulate the poisoned water right into the city’s water supply! We’re in a big hurry Dawn, it’s only going to be about 5 minutes before the chemicals make it through the system and head on their way to NYC’s water supply!” George explains the dire situation.

“Crap, that doesn’t give me much time!” Dawn says to herself.

She rushes towards the security tower as she sees a small room on the top of the tower. However, she remembers that there is no power to the elevator. Nevertheless, the key to the lower levels might be up there. She decides to go back to the main building as she might have missed something.

Entering the main building, there are zombies waiting inside. However, she makes quick work of them with her assault rifle.

  Assault Rifle Ammo: 80%

Entering the lobby, she sees a couple of spiders that she decides to ignore ad time is a precious resource that she doesn’t have. Getting to the hallway, she kills a couple of strikers easily. It seems the creatures are coming easy to her, but it’s the fact that she has little time to waste.

Taking the elevator up, she gets to the hallway where Hondo went up to turn on the tram station. She sees a door that he missed and enters. She finds a pickup.

Picked up a Steel Hook. This will upgrade my hookshot. Now I can use this on any surface, although that doesn’t mean I should.

She attaches the new hook attachment and leaves the main building of the dam heading back outside.

“We only got four minutes left.” George reminds Dawn.

As she gets back to the security tower, she can see the water in the back of the dam turning purple and it’s quickly approaching the levee.

“I don’t believe that someone or a whole corporation could be so cold to desecrate something as pure as water. This is gotta stop!” Dawn becomes emotional when she sees the end result of the Raven Hawk in the water.

A couple of froggers hop to the path from the water. However, these frogs are different in color. These frogs have mutated further as they have turned purple. Dawn sees the frogs and one of them tries to spit a poison spit at her.

  Press “A” and “B” to dodge… Good!

She easily dodges the poison spit and shoots the frog with her assault rifle. The other frog tries to grab her with their tongue, but she dodges and she tries to keep her balance while shooting the frog in its mouth killing it.

“Poor frogs, if this continues there won’t be anymore frogs singing on my next trip to Puerto Rico.” She says reacting to the mutated frogs.

Looking at the top of the security tower, she shoots her hookshot at the cement and hooks her way up to the top. When she gets to the top of the tower, she enters the security room and finds an item.

Picked up a Key. This key leads to the lower levels of the dam observation tower.

Once she gets the key, she sees a button to activate the emergency ladder. Pressing it, the ladder goes down and she heads back to the path running towards the observation tower.

“Only three minutes left Dawn!” George says.

Entering the observation tower, she sees a couple of fleshers. Moving quietly, she tries to avoid contact with the fleshers as she heads towards the elevator. Entering the elevator, she takes it down and ends up in a small storage room with a few zombies.

One of them grabs her and bites her causing her to take some damage. Once she gets the zombie off her, she kills all of the zombies in front of her.

  Condition: Caution (Level 1)

  Assault Rifle Ammo: 70%

Once she kills the zombies, she uses the key to unlock the door and finds herself in a hallway full of zombies. She is able to kill them easily, but the big killer is not the undead, instead it’s the lack of time.

“Only two minutes left!” George becomes worries as time is running out.

Dawn sees a door that leads to the mechanical room, but it’s locked requiring a keycard. She continues down the hallway and continues until she hits a door that leads back outside to a table. On the table, there is an item.

Picked up a Keycard. I can use this to open the mechanical room, now I gotta hurry!

Running back to the door, she enters the mechanical room and tries to find a way to turn off the turbines.

“Down to a minute! Hurry up Dawn!” George says in a panic.

When she goes down the stairs, she sees a protective window blocking her way to the buttons to turn off the turbines. She begins to panic and looks for anything that can open the window. Dawn begins to cry as time is running out and she might have let down the residents of NYC.

However, she spots a button that might open the window on the top of a platform in the back of the room. Running out of time, she decides to hookshot her way up there instead of going up the ladder. When she arrives at the button, she pushes it and to her relief the window rises.

“Thirty seconds, what are you doing? Hurry!” George panics.

She jumps off the platform and runs towards the window.

“Oh my god, fifthteen seconds left! Please tell me you’re there!”

Dawn arrives at the button and presses it right away. When the button is pressed, the turbines shut off.

“There… the turbines are shut down. That should stop the chemicals from flowing.” Dawn says.

“You did it Dawn! Just in time, you just saved over 8 million people. Now I’m about to get on the chopper to pick you up. I’m ready to get out of here. Hondo should be there to meet up.” He says relieved.
