Ultimate Nightmare Set, page 25
part #1 of Angel's Nightmare Adventure Series
The duo heads towards the corpse of Barry looking indifferent towards him, almost like they’re happy that he’s dead. After all, he did deserve his death after trying to probe his way through the police force and trying to start his New World Order using the Hybrid Corporation as his front. The two of them don’t even waste their time with him.
Instead, they go up the ladder leading up to the roof. The two of them find the helicopter on the helipad and Joe gets into pilot the chopper as he has a license to fly helicopters as well. The two of them begin to fly their way out of the helipad and on their way to safety. They have no idea where they’re going, but it has to be as far from NYC as possible. Until Luis gets a distress call on the chopper from Woodhull hospital claiming that there are two survivors inside. He decides as his duty as an officer he needed to go and rescue the survivors.
Chapter 6
Joe flies the helicopter towards the hospital and a thunderstorm passes by causing him to lose control of the helicopter. He nearly crashes the chopper, but he doesn’t panic, and gets control of the chopper once again. He’s able to guide the chopper as close the hospital as possible. The duo spots the helipad on the hospital roof and he begins to land the helicopter on the helipad. Luis gets out of the chopper by himself grabbing a machine gun in the helicopter.
“Joe you stay here just in case we need to take off right away. I’ll go see if I can spot the survivors inside. Let me know if anything changes.”
“10-4 good buddy, good luck in there!”
Luis heads inside the hospital using a side entrance. Upon entering the building, he heads down the stairs and opens the door at the bottom of the stairs. It leads him to a hallway. As he discovers, this is no normal hallway. The Hybrid Corporation logo is on the hallway wall, which indicates that the hospital is working in sync with the Hybrid Corporation.
He has some serious questions about the integrity of the Hybrid Corporation and the hospital. Is this all a setup or is it really an experiment gone wrong? All of a sudden, screaming is heard from the room ahead which is a laboratory. He heads inside and he is shocked by what he finds inside.
He finds capsules of different creatures similar to those that were in the mansion, what did the bottom of that letter written by that researcher say? He wonders about the missing piece of the letter. Luis tracks the screaming and finds that a survivor is indeed inside.
However, the survivor is struggling and is being attacked by three different creatures. One of them is a spider, another is a frogger which he’s unfamiliar with, and the last is a scorpion. He kills all of the creatures with his machine gun. When he gets to the survivor’s body, he sees that none other than Angel who he used to see in the hospital. He picks up Angel and transfers him to a rest area. He heals him with an antidote that heals the poison from his body and he began to introduce himself.
“Hey my name is Luis, you probably seen me before. I’m part of the security force here in the hospital. I’m getting you out of here.” Luis lies to Angel and doesn’t reveal that he is a cop fearing Angel would be intimidated.
“There is somebody else, her name is Maria. She is trapped inside the other laboratory area. I think she is in trouble, we gotta go get her!” Angel replies hysterically.
“Calm down Angel! That’s what we’re about to do now.” Luis consoles Angel as best as he could.
The two head inside the Lab Area B and they see Maria the girl that Angel was referring to. They also see a man of huge physique who Angel had nicked named Mr. Z because no matter how much he went down he wouldn’t die.
While the two deal with Mr. Z, Joe notices that a large amount of zombies are approaching his way. He’s unable to stay where he is or he will be the next meal on the zombies menu. So he decides to pull away and call Luis, but gets no response from him. Joe decides to stay close to the hospital until he sees Luis and the survivors.
Luis and Angel are dealing with Mr. Z and trying to keep Maria out of harm’s way. Angel finds a zap-gun that forces Mr. Z into a pool of blue goo. Luis orders everyone up to the roof where a chopper is waiting for them. However, once the trio gets to the roof the chopper isn’t there.
“No! Joe wouldn’t leave me here, would he?” Luis questioned in his mind.
“Hey I see a light, wave your hands!” Maria screamed
Joe heads to the helipad and he begins to lower the ladder so that everyone could get on the helicopter. Before the three could get in the chopper, a creature popped out of the floor. It’s Mr. Z! However, this time he has a blue jacket and blue visors. Joe claims that it’s too dangerous for him to get any closer to the trio, so he pulls away a little bit. He looks at the fuel and sees he has a half a tank left.
Angel and Luis stare at what is now Mr. Y. Luis isn’t scared of much, but Mr. Y looks like one tough cookie. The two try to shoot the creature, but it proves to be too fast for the duo. It goes and punches Luis hard. The punch is so hard that it pushes him nearly to the edge of the building. Angel isn’t not having any luck either. The creature is having his way with the two and then a flashback hits Luis from childhood.
“Remember son the opponent may be twice or three time your size, but never give up. Always think positively and you can conquer any obstacle, hey who knows you may be a hero one day.” Luis’s father says in the flashback to a much younger self.
“That’s right pops! I gotta be strong, nothing has defeated me, and nothing will defeat me.” He gets up in confidence. “Come on big man come and take your best shot!” Mr. Y jumps and tries to pounce on him, but misses. After that he and Angel empty bullets on Mr. Y weakening him. However, the creature doesn’t go down at all, it kneels down once in a while.
Joe sees a rocket launcher in the helicopter that the trio could use to kill off Mr. Y. He gathers the confidence to head back to the roof of the hospital. He goes above the roof and gets the rocket launcher.
“Hey, use this to take out that creature! Hurry up I’m running out of fuel!” Joe screams through the megaphone.
Maria sees the rocket launcher and waits until Mr. Y was kneeling down, the shoots.
“Goodbye ugly face!” Maria says while shooting the rocket launcher.
After Mr. Y explodes into pieces, Joe begins to land the helicopter and takes the ladder out of the chopper. Luis, Angel, and Maria head up to the helicopter one at a time until each of them gets in the chopper.
“Wow what a crazy day, where to now Joe?” Luis asks Joe as the sun begins to rise through the skyline.
“I have no idea, but it’s our job to stop Hybrid. We’ll have to get out of New York and get these survivors to a safe place.” Joe responds.
“Luis, I could had swore I seen you before, are you sure you’re not a cop?” Angel asks Luis.
“Well, to be honest with you, I am…” An alarm is heard next to Luis’s bed and Luis wakes up before he could finish his sentence.
“It was all a dream, so I wonder how my first day at the force will really turn out. It’s time to go down for breakfast and watch the news.” He says to himself.
He heads down to watch television with his wife and daughter to watch the news. The top story is the “Hybrid Corporation” experimenting with a new substance. His mouth drops in shock and he says “It can’t be…”

July 15th 2009
“Hondo here, I’m a private investigator in charge of figuring out Hybrid’s involvement during the events of July 5th 2007 in Woodhull Hospital. Living in White Plains, New York though, I only have access to details according to operation reports.
Despite that, I do believe that Hybrid is involved somehow with the zombie outbreak in New York City. They claim it was an accident. Of course, a pathetic investigator like me of Puerto Rican descent will have as much of a chance of hitting the lottery than getting the FBI to believe otherwise.
Not to mention this was over 2 years ago, so of course everything is “fixed”. So I continue to gather more evidence as I should. Hondo out…”
After writing his initial journal entry, Hondo begins to clean his pistol as he services it.
Hondo is of Puerto Rican descent and he’s a former boxer. At the age of 37, he decided to become a private investigator along with a few others. Despite his change in occupation, he can still throw a decent left hook. The group of investigators he’s a part of don’t have a particular group name, but they have a common goal. That goal is to find out if the Hybrid Corporation’s involvement 2 years ago was indeed an accident.
Only one of the investigators, whose name is George Fisher was actually in the hospital on that fateful day. However, for reasons unknown, he has disappeared from the face of the Earth without explanation.
“I wonder where George could be? Hopefully Hybrid hasn’t gotten him or worse…” He says concerned to himself as he’s cleaning his gun.
After cleaning his gun, he decides to load his favorite zombie survival horror game. It’s the same one that Angel was hooked on before his real-life survival experience. He plays a couple of hours of the game and begins to wonder if what he sees in the video game is what George had to endure.
“I would hate to be in the middle of that. It might be fun, but that is only because I’m playing a video game.” He says in his head.
After playing his game, he turns on the news and hears of a potential corruption scandal in his local precinct with the Hybrid Corporation. The investigation claims that the chief of police was being paid to make sure a site was secured for a potential Hybrid Corp. Sub-Building.
However, the audit goes even further by saying that he was going to use money that was supposed to be budgeted to the police department to fund the site.
“Wow, really? Using my hard earned tax-payer money to fund your dirty ambitions, seesh it never ends with these bastards.” Hondo says angrily to himself.
“Not to mention that he tried to get the station sold because he claimed that it was in a dangerous area. Hmm… I tend to disagree, but I’ll catch him anyway!” He continues.
A few minutes later, his cellphone rings and the number is not one he’s familiar with. However, he picks it up anyway and hears a familiar voice.
“George?” Hondo asks.
“Yup it’s me, just wanted to see if you were ok. Sorry I went ghost for a while, but understand that I’m a wanted man. You see Hybrid was indeed involved with what happened before and I can tell you it was no accident. Listen I can’t talk too long, my phone might be tapped by Hybrid. I hope you are well.” George says and hangs up.
“Just as I thought, I think I better take a look deeper into Mr. Mustang.” Hondo says after the surprise call.
Mr. Mustang or John Mustang as his real name says is the White Plains chief who is being audited for racketeering and obstruction of justice. He claims that the station is in a dangerous place and he has a case with the increased violence around the area. However, opponents and most of the town believe that he has paid off the hoodlums to “create” crime to give the illusion that crime is going up so he can run with his share of the money with the sale of the station.
He decides to hop into his car and begins his quest to the police station. He wants to see if he can find anything incriminating that could link Mustang to Hybrid. As he’s driving though, his phone rings and he picks up.
“Hey Dawn, how are you?” Hondo asks.
“Hi Hondo, what are you up to?” She asks.
“I’m on my way to the police station to gather some dirt on Mustang.” He replies.
“I would be careful. I just got an alarm from that building, but it was just cleared as routine training…” She is interrupted by Hondo before she can continue.
“Routine my ass! It’s just another attempt for Mustang to pretend that the station is dangerous! Listen, Mustang is looking to get his hands on some fast dirty cash and I’ll be damned if that happens!” He replies angrily.
“No worries, Dawn the genius at your service!” She replies happily.
“Ok ‘genius’, what’s the lowdown then?”
“Well, it looks like a situation has popped up and I sense that it’s abnormal in nature.”
“Really? You sure Mr. Mustang isn’t trying to pull a fast one? How about security there?”
“I wouldn’t be so sure about that Hondo. I went the extra step and I see that there is no response by any of the officers there. I got a friend there and he hasn’t called me back. It could be a serious situation.” She warns him.
“After what I’ve heard, I got a bone to pick with Mustang! Hmm… looks like Mr. Mustang might have cried wolf one too many times. Now I gotta save his butt, but trust me once I get him, he’ll have a lot to explain!”
“Ok tough guy, you can do whatever afterwards. However, the safety of the people there is paramount! We might not be an actual force, but I wouldn’t live with myself if innocent people end up dying because of your macho attitude…” Dawn replies and continues, “Look, just don’t forget to bring your can to the scene…”
“One can of kickass coming right up!” He says confidently.
“Be careful there, the situation might be more dangerous than we’re thinking.” She says before hanging up.
Dawn is from the UK and is a rather tough cookie despite being a female. She quickly learned that people can’t be trusted and became disgusted with Hybrid after the failure of the Raven Hawk virus or in her view, a “planned” failure. She is the intel of the “group” and is able to gather important data before any mission. She is up there on Hybrid’s hit list along with George. She’s around Hondo’s age.
He continues to drive towards the police station with his trusty Beretta pistol on hand. Despite his confidence, he has no idea he’s about to walk into a situation that is anything but “Routine”. In fact he’s about to enter the same nightmare that Angel experienced just a couple of years ago.
These are the events that took place after the first outbreak and before the second outbreak in NYC. Several people survived the ordeal, these are their stories. Prepare to find out some of the lost survivors of the Raven Hawk Outbreak.
You have entered Angel’s Nightmare Adventure 1.5!
Chapter 2
Hondo reaches the police station and spots many dead police bodies on the floor. He’s horrified by the sight of so many dead bodies.
“Damn, it looks like Dawn was correct about this situation being crazy.” He says as he pulls his gun out.
Hondo finds that the front door is not an option as it’s blocked by a shutter. So he heads towards the back of the station and spots a ladder. Before he can go up the ladder, a man comes towards him. However, the man gets too close for Hondo and he begins to brace himself.
“Hey man, get off me! What are you doing?” He screams reacting towards the crazed man in a suit and tie.
The man looks pale and sick in nature. The hostile man walks slowly, but speeds up as he tries to bite Hondo. However, he pushes the man away and pulls his gun on the hostile man.
“Look calm down or I will have to shoot!” He screams.
However as he faces the hostile man, a female with the same characteristics crawls towards his feet. She attempts to bite his feet. Hondo turns around and is forced to shoot a round into the woman’s head killing her. When he turns around towards the man, he hopes that the man calms down.
However, no such luck as the man continues to rush him.
“NO!” He screams.
Hondo has no choice but to shoot the man in the head. After killing the hostile man, he checks the condition of the man. Looking straight ahead, he sees a huge horde of hostiles ahead of him. When he turns around, more hostiles come for him.
“Oh crap, don’t tell me this is my video game in real life. Man oh man… looks like this ladder is gonna be my savior.” He says and decides to climb the ladder to the roof.
Climbing up the roof, he meets yet another person. This one is in a police uniform and he walks towards the person cautiously.
Game Begin
Items:
Pistol Equipped. This is Hondo’s trusty Beretta, might be a good pistol, but might not be perfect during a biohazard outbreak.
Pistol Ammo: 30
Special Ability: Boxer. He can punch his way through sticky situations where he has no other weapon. Only used as a last resort.
Condition: Fine
“Hey sir, do you have an idea what’s going on here?” He gets no answer and continues, “Sir, are you paying attention?”
He taps the person on the back and the officer turns around. When the officer turns around, he begins to grab Hondo and bites him.
“Get off me you crazy bastard!” He says as he pushes the officer away while landing a well placed left hook.
After getting some space from the hostile officer, he shoots a few rounds killing the officer. The male officer makes a monstrous noise as it falls onto the ground back first. Hondo walks slowly towards the dead officer and sees that the officer looks rather strange just like the others. It has a pale and decayed faced similar to a zombie in his favorite video game.
Pistol Ammo: 25
Also the blood has a rather purplish color similar to the Raven Hawk virus that was said to be out of production after the outbreak in NYC back in 2007. As Hondo looks at the blood and the dead body, he begins to realize that the officers are no longer living.
