Ultimate Nightmare Set, page 45
part #1 of Angel's Nightmare Adventure Series
Doing a cannonball, she drops back into the water. The current carries her, but it seems that the current is stronger than before. She rides the current fast as she goes at least a half a mile with a few drops here and there. She sees a platform up ahead and when she gets closer she sees a ladder.
Seeing what looks like to be a huge fall ahead, she knows that she wants so grab hold of the ladder. She decides as hard as it will be, she has to try to fight the current.
Press “A” repeatedly to fight current… Good!
She fights the current as she is close to the range of the ladder, but she has to get more to her right or she’ll still miss it.
Press “A” repeatedly to fight current… Great!
Dawn is able to fight the current even more and grabs a hold of the ladder trying to hold on for dear life. After struggling to get her foot on the ladder, she gets her left foot planted. Using her hands as leverage, she pulls up on the ladder and is able to get out of the water to climb the ladder.
Reaching the top of the platform, she sees that she doesn’t have time to relax as a couple of froggers pop out of the water. The first frogger tries to stick out its tongue to eat her alive, but she sidesteps to her right barely avoiding the long tongue and avoids falling off the platform.
Seeing the mouth still open, she shoots it and kills it easily with her assault rifle. The other frog lays a scratch on her, but causes minimal damage. The second frogger is closer to her, so it tries to eat her whole by opening its mouth. Seeing the mouth open, she fires her rifle right away hoping to kill it before it can strike. To her luck, it dies easily without incident.
Once the froggers are dead, she sees a hatch that opens to her relief.
“Finally a door that opens!” She says relieved.
Entering a maintenance area, she sees a horde of zombies inside including one that grabs her right away biting her away.
Condition: Caution (Level 1)
Fighting it off, she shoots it after taking some damage from the bite. Seeing the rest of the horde, she doesn’t risk it and simply kills them from mid-range.
Assault Rifle Ammo: 68%
Walking carefully, she makes sure that nothing gets to her. She sees a box ahead that she checks.
Picked up a Rifle Magazine. Assault Rifle Ammo: 98%
After getting the ammo, she goes to her left and into another room where she sees a couple of huge spiders. One of which tries to spit poison towards her, she easily gets behind the wall as the spit hits the wall. Popping out from behind the wall, she begins to shoot the spiders and kills the one that was trying to spit at her. The other spider tackles her down to the floor. She gets up and is able to run when the spider tries to spit its venom. She spots a soft metal spot on top of a platform and uses her hookshot to get up there.
The spider begins to climb the wall in an effort to catch up to her, but she shoots the spider as its coming up killing it. Seeing the coast is clear, she drops down from the platform and gets to the ground without hurting herself.
Assault Rifle Ammo: 94%
“Damn this chick is good. I’m almost out of here, at least I hope.” She says trying to retain her confidence.
She opens the next hatch and finds herself in a control room. She hears a noise coming from her bluetooth indicating that she has good signal coming in and she can contact George. She tries to call George and she gets an answer.
“Dawn? Are you ok?” He asks.
“I’m fine, I got separated from Hondo. I’m in the aqueduct, but that’s not important right now. I’m in some kind of control room seeing a computer terminal saying to connect pipes the right way.” She explains to George.
“From what I can see it looks like you have to reconnect the pipes in the correct way so that the water will flow back to the sewers.” He says.
“Ah… I see. I’ll try to figure this out. I’ll let you know if I get it.” She says before cutting off the feed.
Dawn reads the instructions on the computer carefully.
To redirect the water choose the destinations and hit ‘apply settings’. The computer will open the gates and redirect the regulation device. Note: Gates can also be opened by using the underwater values in case of a computer failure.
After reading the instructions, she begins to mess with the settings for the regulation device.
Water Redirection

You have selected: 4 - Sewers
Once she changes the settings on the computer, she hears the motor ready to run as the regulator is ready to move. Looking out of the window, she sees the regulator moving and moving the pipes to the settings on the computer.
“All right Dawn, as I can see from here it looks like you connected the right pipes. Now you’ll have to go underwater and ride the current out of here back to the sewers. You’ll probably lose me when you get back to the sewers… And hopefully you’ll get out of the water fast enough…” He says with a quick smirk.
“What? Oh great!” Dawn says disgusted that she has to swim again and this time underwater.
She shoots the glass with her weapon and jumps back into the water. Heading underwater, she sees more froggers underwater but she chooses to ignore them. Heading for the middle of the area, she heads under the middle of the regulator. Upon entering the middle, she sees the pipe that has the open gate and rides the current under she sees a ladder that she quickly grabs.
Going up the ladder, she ends up in a small room where there are more zombies that she kills easily. None of them get too close to her and she suffers no damage. Seeing nothing special in the room, she opens the hatch behind her to leave. When she leaves the room, she sees a sign in the hallway.
“You are leaving the aqueducts, up ahead - North Sewers.”
“Finally, I’m out of this crazy hell hole. Hopefully I get back in contact with Hondo.” She says ready to get back to normal sea level.
Approaching another hatch, she opens it and enters a small area with a couple of fleshers inside. One of them slashes her on her legs dealing a good amount of damage.
Condition: Caution (Level 2)
After taking some damage, she kills the flesher that attacked her. The other flesher prepares to jump and slash her. Seeing a metal plate that her hookshot can be used, she uses her hookshot to get to the other side of the room. Keeping her hookshot engaged, she holds her assault rifle in her left hand and shoots the flesher behind her from the higher location.
Once the flesher is dead, she heals herself.
Dawn uses a Green Herbal Mix.
Condition: Caution (Level 2)
The ladder is broken in the middle leading up to the manhole. Spotting a soft spot, she hooks her way up to the platform below the manhole where the ladder resumes. Climbing the ladder, she gets to the manhole and opens it. Upon exiting the sewers, she sees an army of Hybrid grunts trying to defend themselves from the huge horde of zombies. She realizes that she’s in the tunnel leading to the dam and she should be able to get to the dam.
She sees a soft spot on the north side of the tunnel. She hooks towards the spot and goes over the debris. Dawn could care less about the Hybrid grunts that are getting massacred behind her as she sees a door in front of her. Opening the door, she finally breathes some fresh air although the skies are getting dark and the sound of thunder can be heard.
Seeing the dam ahead, she walks towards it and sees a gate blocking her way. The gate can be climbed easily, but before she climbs, she spots someone.
“Hondo? She says to herself and then screams, “Hondo!”
“Who’s there?” He answers until he sees Dawn.
“Oh Dawn, it’s you! I’m happy you’re alive, where did you go?” He asks.
“I’ll tell you in a few. I gotta get through this gate first.” She replies.
“Hold on, I might be able to open it for you instead.” He responds.
Heading to the small security booth, he finds a button and presses it. The gate opens and Dawn heads to the security booth where she hugs Hondo.
“I thought you were a goner when you went down that whirlpool.” Hondo says.
“I thought the same thing myself. Thank goodness it only led me to a lower part of the sewers. Then for some reason I ended up in the aqueducts where I almost died and you know I can’t swim.”
“Haha! I bet you must have learned after that, huh?”
“Yeah I guess I did, I’m just happy to be back on solid ground.”
“I should say the same thing! It looks like I got you both back online. Anyway we’re not done yet, now we gotta actually stop this massacre of human life from actually happening.” George says.
“Yup, we’re on our way to the dam.” Hondo says as another roar of thunder can be heard passing by.
Dawn and Hondo head for the door that will lead them to the Rockland County Dam.
Chapter 4
Hondo’s Playthrough
The two head through the door and see that they are entering the parking lot of the dam. Hondo gives a quick call to George.
“Hey George, give me a rundown of this place and what we need to get done here.” Hondo asks George for any ideas.
“I’m looking into the Rockland database right now… All you can do at this point is to get to the to the tram line at the other side of the dam. Don’t waste too much time though. We’re on a bit of a time crunch here.” George answer.
Once he gets the orders from George, he and Dawn head towards the parking lot where three guerillas are located ready to attack. One of the gorillas tries to attack Dawn, but she gets out of the way. The other two begin to double team Hondo. One of the gorillas deals a heavy right hand to Hondo’s leg knocking him down.
Condition: Caution (Level 2)
Dawn is able to kill the gorilla that was attacking her and goes to assist Hondo. The gorilla that stuck Hondo gets on top of him and picks him up. It attempts to put him in a bearhug, but he’s able to use is left hand and punches the creature with a right punch to its head.
He is able to break out of the hold and get free while the other gorilla tries to attack him. Dawn uses her assault rifle to grab it by the throat and hold it until Hondo can punch it with his famous left hook knocking it clean. The other gorilla tries to attack him from the left side, but Dawn shoots it before it can get to him.
“Nice shooting there. We better watch out backs, I’m sure the chief is here somewhere trying to get over us.” He warns Dawn to keep an eye out.
Exploring the parking lot, he sees a door that leads to a small storage room with a couple of pickups.
Picked up a Green Herbal Mix.
Picked up a Heavy Machine Gun. This heavy weapon is capable of making mince meat out of most enemies, but ammo runs out quickly and ammo packs are ultra rare to find. It’s best to save this for a ‘rainy day’. Machine Gun Ammo: 100%
This weapons takes up too much space in your inventory, you must give up a weapon to Dawn.
Which weapon will you surrender?
You have chosen the Magnum.
“Hey Dawn thanks for letting me hold this.” He hands the Desert Eagle back to Dawn.
“Why are you giving this back to me?” She asks.
“I can’t carry all these weapons. Plus this big bubba of a weapon takes up too much of my inventory. Besides I think you need something with a bit more power yourself, there are bound to be creatures infesting this place.”
“Well, thanks Hondo. How about we go in there and kick some butt?”
“Thought you would never ask.” He replies happily.
Hondo and Dawn head into the security booth and towards the door leading them to the actual dam. Several zombies are waiting for the two. Hondo and Dawn easily kill the zombies that used to be the dam personnel and workers. Hondo uses most of his pistol ammo to kill the large group of zombies.
Pistol Ammo: 17
Not wasting time, the two of them try to run through the dam until a group of four froggers pop out of the water. They are able to kill two of the frogs easily, but the final two prove to be tough kills. One of them slashes Hondo on his wounded right arm dealing good damage.
Condition: Danger
He gets away from the frog and shoots it with his shotgun when it tries to lick him with its tongue. Three shots with the shotgun are good enough to kill the frog. He spots Dawn struggling with the other frog as it grabs her with its tongue trying to swallow her.
Shotgun Ammo: 14
Rushing to his partner’s help, he is able to get to the frog as its pulling her towards its mouth. He punches the tongue down with both on his fists armed with the brassknuckles into the ground. The frog screams in pain and is forced to let go of Dawn.
“Dawn shoot the frog, I got its tongue pressed!” He orders her to shoot.
Dawn kills the frog with her assault rifle and is relieved. She sees the purplish colored water to her left that is waiting to break through into the city’s water supply and she’s left to almost cry.
“Why would anyone want to poison gaia’s most precious gift to us?” Dawn asks tearing up.
“Hermana, it’s because of greed. Mustang got greedy and lost. So he wants to take it out on the world and wants to take everyone to hell with him. I’ll be damned if that happens. If he wants to take me to hell with him, he better kill me first on his own.” Hondo makes a bold statement in an effort to bring up Dawn’s spirit.
“You think we can do it?”
“Why not? We made it out of the booby trapped sewers and we’re only moments away from saving the world.”
After Hondo’s heartfelt words, Dawn points to a building that they should explore. It’s a security tower and when they get inside they find a couple of zombies inside that prove to be trivial to kill.
Pistol Ammo: 12
Hondo sees a box with some pickups inside…
Picked up a Red Herbal Mixture.
Picked up +7 Shotgun Shells. Shotgun Ammo: 21
Hondo combines a Green and Red Herbal Mixture to create a Super Herb.
Hondo uses the Super Herb.
Condition: Fine
Picked up a Super First Aid Spray.
Hondo GIVES the Super First Aid Spray to Dawn.
“Thanks, I can certainly use this.” She says after being given the health item.
An elevator is seen covered in yellow caution tape. Pressing the button does nothing as there is no power going to the elevator. The map indicates that it leads to a security area. Hopefully it won’t be an area they’ll have to explore later on.
They leave the building and head straight. Looking forward, they see a door leading to the waterworks. Trying to open it, they’re not surprised when they find it locked. There is a main building to the left that is locked with a keycard needed to release the lock. Looking behind them, they see another building and enter the door.
When they enter, they see nothing is inside but an elevator that leads to a lower floor. The elevator is locked with a keycard that is color coded purple. They head up the stairs where they find themselves on the observation deck of the dam looking at the rushing water. They find a couple of dead dam workers on the balcony. Looking inside the pockets of one of them, Hondo finds something…
Picked up a Keycard. Looking at the Keycard, it’s labeled for access to the main building.
A map of the entire dam complex can also be seen on a plaque. It proves to be a bit useful as they know where the tram system is located. However, they first have to get into the main building to get access to the tram. Leaving the observation building, they head to the main building.
Hondo uses the keycard he obtained from the dead worker and uses it to open the door. Entering the main door they hear a loud boom of thunder indicating that a major thunderstorm is heading their way. They know that the last thing they should worry about is getting wet.
They enter through the hallway that leads to the rest of the building and are met by more dam workers turned zombies. Hondo uses his last pistol bullets to assist Dawn in killing the zombies.
Pistol Ammo: 0
Entering the main lobby they see the receptionist’s desk and a couple of strikers that come down from the upper floor. One of the raccoons come down and jumps onto Dawn biting her arm. She is able to get rid of the striker on her arm and it falls behind the receptionist desk. The other striker jumps for Hondo, but he sidesteps from the attack and shoots it with his shotgun killing it.
The other raccoon climbs up the desk and scratches Hondo with its claws dealing a small amount of damage. Dawn tries to shoot it with her assault rifle, but it jams up on her. The raccoon tackles Hondo and gets him on the floor ready to nibble at him. Dawn thinks quickly by grabbing a fire extinguisher and spraying it on the raccoon.
The end result is the raccoon being blinded by the foam that comes out. Hondo gets up avoiding being blinded and punches the blinded raccoon until he screams in pain. Once Dawn is able to unjam her weapon, she shoots it for good measure. Once the reception area is cleared, they go through a green door that takes them into another hallway.
There is a giant spider in the hallway that spits poison at Hondo, but Dawn jumps in the way to take the spit herself. He shoots the spider twice with the shotgun killing the 8-legged freak. Dawn is on the floor poisoned by the spider and unable to get up. He sees a bathroom ahead which could be a source of water, but first he has to find a Blue Herbal Mix.
He sees a door and an elevator. Ignoring the elevator, he heads into the door and enters the break room. Looking around the place, he finds a health pickup in one of the desks.
Picked up a Red Herbal Mixture.
Too bad for him, it’s a Red herb. Despite that, he continues to search and when he opens the refrigerator, he spots a couple of pickups.
