Apple Butter
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 8 hours
Servings: 10
Ingredients:
Juice of 1 lemon
1 teaspoon allspice
1 teaspoon clove, ground
1 teaspoon ginger powder
3 pounds apples, peeled, cored and chopped
1 tablespoon cinnamon, ground
1 and ½ cups water
¼ teaspoon nutmeg, ground
1 cup maple syrup
Directions:
In your slow cooker, mix apples with water, lemon juice, allspice, clove, ginger powder, cinnamon, maple syrup and nutmeg.
Stir, cover and cook on Low for 8 hours.
Leave your mix to cool down for 10 minutes, blend using an immersion blender and pour into small jars.
Serve for breakfast!

Put almonds and walnuts in your blender, add some of the soaking water, blend really well and transfer to your slow cooker.
Add apples, squash, cinnamon, coconut sugar, nutmeg and coconut milk, stir, cover and cook on Low for 8 hours.
Use a potato masher to mash the whole mix, divide into bowls and serve.
