All Mye Queen's Men, Chronicles of Love - Volume II, page 34
“I wouldn't trade her for a billion.” Christian shouts back though his eyes never leave Queen's.
“Where were you?” Queen asked.
“Over there watching you.”
“I don't know, that was kind of risky letting Bear stick his hand up my dress.” Queen teases.
“Why? I trust you. So, how far are you willing to go with this?
“Take it all the way to Lady Town. Those two need all the help they can get.” Queen jokes.
“I'm talking about you and me.”
“What do you mean?” Queen asked confused.
“I'm in love with you.”
Queen draws a big breath, pauses and sighs. “I'm in love with you too.”
Christian remains serious as he continues to manipulate the garter up Queen's dress.
“Are you sure?”
Queen nods. “Yeah. I'm sure.”
“Do you love me enough for this?” Christian asks as he withdraws his hand from beneath Queen's gown with the ring box in his hand. He opens the box and presents it to Queen. Queen gasps in surprise. “Marry me?”
Queen is shocked. She looks around and discovers that everyone is in on it including Teddy and Derrick. Her eyes fill with tears as she realizes that Christian is serious.
“Christian, don't do this. I can't. It's too soon... I still have feelings for Bear. And I'm not sure I'll ever...”
Christian quickly interrupts. “You can sort out your feelings for him later. I'm in love with you and you said you're in love with me. So, marry me.”
Queen's heart is racing. She quickly scans the crowd for Teddy. She locks eyes on him and searches for his reaction. Teddy who is cheering her on with the rest of the crowd gives her an, “It's okay to say yes- nod.” Queen nods back and immediately turns her focus back to Christian.
“Are you sure about this Christian?”
“I wouldn't ask if I wasn't one hundred per cent sure. Marry me, Queen? Let’s have some kids, build a practice and grow old together.”
“You do know that I have issues, right?”
“I don't care. Marry me and you can put all this other stuff behind you.”
“You don't know how bad I wish I could.”
“You can and you will. Marry me? Queen, I'm down here because I love you. If you love me you'll trust me to take care of you. Just say yes, Mye Queen.”
Queen hesitates, and takes a big breath before answering. “Yes, my King. I will marry you.”
Christian puts the stunning diamond ring on Queen's finger and kisses her full and deep, to the applauds and cheers of the crowd.
Teddy watches with mixed emotions as Christian kisses his new Bride to be. If ever there was a time for regrets this would be it. Still he knew that Christian was the best thing that has happened to Queen in a very long time. So he wiped the lone tear that stung his face like acid and he cheered and applauded with the rest of the crowd. No one there was as happy for them as he was. Well except Jade of course. Her money had been on Christian to win for a very long time.
CHAPTER 44
Six months past and Christian and Queen quickly settled into a life of premarital bliss. They moved into Christian’s condo since it was close to the hospital and contemplated selling Queen’s baby mansion. Actually it was an effortless transition from friends without benefits to live in lovers as they practical lived with each other anyway prior to their engagement.
Understandably, Queen was still sorting out some deep rooted feelings for Teddy and Logic for that matter and wanted a long engagement. Christian however was ready to plan their wedding, future and family. He loved Queen and he wanted to marry her as soon as possible.
“Mye Queen, how would you like to get married in the Plaza Hotel next June?”
“The Plaza hotel? In New York?”
“I have connections and I can make it happen. What do you say?” He asked as he hugged her tight and gently kissed her lips.
“Uh, I’m afraid I’m going to have to say no.” She said as she stared into his pleading eyes.
“No… Come on Queen why not? Most Brides would kill for an opportunity for a June wedding at the Plaza Hotel.”
“I know, but you have to realize that I’m not the average Bride. Besides, we live in Baltimore. I can’t ask my family to go to New York to see me get married, even if I am marrying the most handsome man on the planet.”
“Cut the bullshit Queen. Don’t even try to sugar coat it with flattery. Every time I try to make wedding plans you come up with a lame ass reason to shoot them down. What's up?”
“That’s not true. I liked the idea of getting married on a beach in the Caribbean.”
“Okay let’s get married in the Caribbean in June. I don’t really care where or when, I just need you to commit to something. Don’t you want to marry me?”
“Of course I do Christian.”
“Then why are you procrastinating. What’s the problem? Please don’t tell me that you’re having doubts.”
“Baby I got a whole lot of damaged baggage to unpack before we say I do. Just give me a little time to get my shit together, sort out some things and unpack them. Okay?” Queen pleaded as she wrapped her arms around Christian’s waist and held him close.
“Alright, but you’re going to keep playing around and find yourself getting married by Elvis in a chapel in Vegas.” He teased.
“Uh, I don’t think so!” Queen laughed as she considered just how ironic that would be. “Vegas is definitely out.”
“Then you’d better make up your mind what you want to do.”
“I already know what I want to do.” Queen said as she sampled Christian’s lips.
“Oh yeah, what’s that?”
Queen rubbed her finger tips along the front of his pants and delicately stroked his manhood.
“I have to go to work.” Christian moaned momentarily enjoying the sensation.
“So do I.”
“I know and you can’t be late. You have Resident’s rounds in less than an hour and I have a waiting room full of hormonal women waiting for me.”
“You are such a kill joy.” Queen whined.
“And you Mye Queen are a master manipulator. Don’t think that you can rub that pretty little pussy in my face and make me forget about the issue at hand. I’ll give you one week and then I'm booking the Plaza Hotel. So I suggest you start sorting through your baggage, because we’re getting married with or without it.”
Queen sighed as she removed her hands from Christian’s pants leaving him as hard as the Hope Diamond. “Okay, it’s your world. I’m just a squirrel trying to get a nut.”
“So, you’re just going to leave my shit hard like that.” Christian laughed before kissing Queen’s lips.
“You’re the one complaining about wedding dates and being late for work.” She smirked.
“Yeah I know, but on second thought… I think I can spare a little time.” Christian replied as he pulled Queen into his masculine arms.
He sampled her lips as he searched her eyes for a soft spot in her heart for him. Finding it, he kissed her hard as he massaged her round ass.
Queen moaned as she rubbed his still swollen nature through his pants. “Can’t you be late just this once?”
Sensing what she wanted and knowing what she needed Christian made a quick call on his cell. “Hi Linda, its Dr. Love, I’m going to be a little late. Triage the ladies and let them know I’ll be there as soon as I possibly can.”
Seconds later Christian grabbed Queen by her big behind and lifted her up in his arms. She wrapped her legs around his waist and sucked his tongue down her throat as he carried her to the sofa. Instinctively knowing what the Queen liked and how she liked it Christian went to work.
“Take your clothes off.” His sultry voice commanded as he stripped down before her.
Queen slowly undressed as she watched Christian, mesmerized by his finest. Her mouth watered as he slid his boxers off releasing the object of her desire. Still hard and ready for action it taunted her and begged for her immediate attention. It didn’t have to wait long as Queen couldn’t wait to show it some love. Queen reached for it, but Christian had other plans in mind.
“He’s hard enough.” Christian moaned as he pushed Queen on her back and buried his handsome face between her thighs. Like a heat seeking missile he sought Queen’s clit with his warm mouth sucking it hard before releasing it. Queen gasped as his fingers slid between her thighs and into her wetness as Christian sucked her clit like a pacifier. With no time to waste or to spare Christian quickly located Queen’s G-spot sending her instantly into Nuclear Meltdown.
“Stop you’re going to make me come too quick.” She moaned as her body quaked with waves of pleasure that resonated from the core of her erotic zone.
“That’s the point of a quickie.” Christian grinned as he continued to suck her swollen clit refusing to show it or Queen any mercy.
Minutes later Christian heard the sweet sound that he was looking for, dead silence. Instantly he knew that in 5- 4- 3- 2- 1 more second, Queen was going to erupt like a gigantic active volcano. As she released a blood curdling scream that would scare a Zombie he mounted her. Caught up and completely sold out for this delicious man Queen locked her thighs around Christian’s back and prepared for the ride of her life.
Stroke after stroke increased in intensity and thrust as Christian tried to break Queen’s damn back. But she didn’t mind in fact she absolutely loved it and she loved him. And as he bumped and humped his way to completion Queen realized that this man was definitely worth the effort required to completely walk away from all of her damn baggage.
~*~*~
Actually, to merely say that Mye Queen had baggage was a gross understatement of the facts. That girl had more luggage then the baggage terminal at LAX airport and she knew it. Christian had no real clue the deep seated issues that his Queen was really dealing with.
Yes, Christian realized that loving Queen came with more issues than Kleenex made tissues. Even still he was determined to help her unload her bags and move on with her life. In his mind he had won the war when he wrestled Queen’s heart from Teddy’s death grip. What he didn’t realize was that the real battle had just begun.
Queen had conveniently neglected to tell Christian about her special friends with benefits package with Logic Hart. Teddy looked the other way, because he was really in no position to cry foul, but that shit was not going to fly with Christian, especially now that they were engaged.
It had been a very long time since Queen had a sneaky down low, hoe rendez vous with Logic. Still she remained as monkey shit bananas over him as she had always been. Christian was a sweet distraction, but Logic remained Queen’s favorite tasty obsession. She fought the urge to be with him every single day.
Now naturally, her relationship with Christian remained on a need to know basis and Queen was convinced that Logic really didn’t need to know a damn thing about it. So, it never came up in their many conversations. Actually, they both agreed a long time ago to leave their personal relationships out of their very private affair. But now Queen knew that she had to tell Logic that she was engaged to marry a man that he never even knew that she was dating.
Needless to say Logic was going to be very hurt and a tad bit pissed. Their on again off again love affair had been consistently on, whenever the two of them found themselves in the same zip code, for several years now. Logic assumed that after all these years Queen would eventually say yes and marry Teddy, but he could not fathom her marrying anyone else other than him. Queen’s engagement to Christian was definitely going to blindside him and it was going to hurt.
So Queen decided to avoid that conversation and subsequent altercation until it was absolutely, positively necessary. Unless confronted by either of them she reserved her right to hold her peace and cross that treacherous, icy bridge when there was no other way around it. Little did she know that it was about to get as cold as hell and an ice storm was brewing on the horizon.
CHAPTER 45
It had been awhile since Logic had been to Baltimore and Queen had to admit that she longed for his special brand of sexual healing. Engaged or not she missed his slow hand, his long stroke and his energetic tongue. Truth be told she missed him.
Queen had abandoned all rational hopes of a permanent reconciliation with Logic a long time ago. Her antics with Teddy and X really hurt Logic and she knew it. Asking him to pick up where they left off would be like asking him to walk into a fire wearing gasoline soaked boxer shorts. She really couldn’t blame him for electing not to travel that road with her again. Still a large portion of her heart would forever dwell with him.
By some unforeseen miracle, fate kept Logic away from the wedding to witness that crazy ass fiasco of epic proportion and Queen was grateful for that. But destiny was about to intervene once again and return Logic to Baltimore at the most inopportune time.
Christian wrote a book entitled Sex for Entertainment Purposes Only. Sexy, erotic, funny and refreshing this sex manual for the millennium woman was quickly gaining notoriety and popularity. In fact Christian had become somewhat of an icon from the day it was released. Teddy who had received an advance release copy used his celebrity clout to help land Christian a literary agent, lucrative publishing contract, a twelve city book tour and extensive media coverage. Unfortunately, everything was centered around the west coast.
Needless to say Queen was not pleased when she discovered that Christian had to fly out to LA for three to four weeks to promote his book. Naturally she was happy for him but she really didn’t want to be separated from him for such a long time. She had finally gotten use to getting some dick on the regular and now this. Realizing that it was an opportunity of a life time for Christian Queen put her feelings aside and encouraged him to go.
“What’s the worst that could happen? Christian will be staying at Queen’s Palace with Teddy and Logic is in the middle of his pre season training regimen.” Queen thought as she watched Christian board his plane.
Never ask a question that you really don’t want to know the answer to, because the universe will take it as a personal challenge. Christian had been gone for a little more than a week now and Queen was beginning to miss his erotic touch. Working almost day and night and taking back to back overnight call she was determined to stay busy. Still nothing could take her mind off the yearning for a stiff dick buried deep between her thick thighs.
As she pondered taking a quick weekend excursion to LA for a sneaky, freaky with her Boo, Christian, her phone rings. It was Logic. Queen looked at the caller ID and her koochie immediately begin to thump with the prospects of a moment alone with Logic. Knowing that even entertaining the thought of sleeping with him was a disaster of monumental proportion Queen chose to ignore the call.
Seconds later he texted her and then called right back. Sensing that something was wrong she picked up his call.
“Hey King of Heart, what ya doing?” There was no response, but Queen could hear the apparent sounds of Logic whimpering in the background. “Logic is everything okay? What’s going on?”
Logic continued to sob unable to respond to Queen.
“Baby please… tell me what’s going on.” Queen pleaded becoming concerned and afraid.
“I fuckin said that I wasn’t going to cry, but the second I hear your voice I start crying like a damn baby.” Logic managed to get out as the pain he felt strangled him and caused him to choke on his words.
“Logic you are starting to scare the hell out of me. Why are you crying? Is everything okay? Tell me what's wrong.”
“Queen my father just died. I’m on the plane in route to Baltimore. I need you to meet me at the airport. I can’t deal with the media right now.” Logic manned up and somehow managed to say without breaking down again.
Queen heard what Logic said but it didn’t register. “What did you just say?”
“My dad just passed away. Can you pick me up at BWI around six?”
Queen’s legs instantly went to jelly. She searched for a place to sit down to steady herself before she fainted. Mr. Hart had been like a father to Queen for so many years. She took the news hard, harder than even she could have imagined. Sobbing as if she had just been mortally wounded she cried. “Oh Logic no…. Papa Hart can’t be dead. What happened?”
“Queen don’t cry. Please don’t. Ah shit! What the hell was I thinking I should have let your parents tell you.”
Queen was sobbing uncontrollably at this point. One of the nurses saw her and immediately came to her aid.
“Dr. Queen, are you okay?” She asked.
Unable to process what was going on, let alone speak, Queen gave her the phone to talk to Logic.
“Hi, I’m La Shawn one of the nurses at Her Lady of Mercy Hospital. Dr. Queen is extremely upset and she asked me to talk to you. Is everything okay?”
“Hi, I’m Logic Hart. Doctor Queen’s father in-law just passed away. Is she okay?”
“She’s pretty distraught, but we have her.”
“I wasn’t thinking. I shouldn’t have told her on the phone, but I wanted to talk to her. I’m on a plane from Vegas. Damn, I should have waited. Is she okay?” Logic rambled.
By now a swarm of doctors and nurses had come to Queen’s rescue to comfort her. Queen was still sobbing but she was okay.
“She’s distraught, but she's okay. Are you her husband?” La Shawn asked as she watched the staff calm Queen down. “Her father in-law just passed away.” She offered them as an explanation.
“Yes, yes I am.” Logic sighed and lied.
“I’m sorry about your loss.” La Shawn offered.
“Thank you.”
“Is there anything that I can do to help?”
“Please let her know that I’ll be arriving at BWI around six o’clock this evening. I imagine she’s going home, so I’ll send a car to pick her up to meet me. I’ll call her parents to pick her up at the hospital. Just keep her there until they arrive.”
“Okay I’ll let her know.”
