Reborn as a Fire Mage!, page 33
The M1A2 barely fit through the gate. We stood up top and manned the 50 Cal. Hestia and Piper handled the other two guns. We were ready to fire on any centaur that we saw. However, the place looked like a ghost town.
We stopped the tank in the main square and turned off the engine. It wouldn’t have shocked me to see tumbleweed blow across the street like in the classic westerns before I was born.
“Centaurs, either retreat or be killed. It’s that simple,” I demanded. Then I looked side to side, ready to fire on any attackers.”
We heard moans behind us and saw fiends dragging themselves toward the gate.
“I’ll shut the gate. Give me a sec,” Hestia announced and sprinted to the lever that opened and closed the large gate to the town. She was back at her gun in no time. We had one less threat now.
“These centaurs are big fucking horses. It can’t be easy to hide,” I murmured.
“I’m wondering where Scarlett is and where the other prisoners are,” Hestia wondered.
A cackle from above startled us. We looked to the roof of the building in front of us. A female centaur held Scarlett by the back of the neck and a dagger to her throat with the other hand. “Is this who you seek?” the female inquired, even though she already knew the answer.
“Don’t hurt her!” I bellowed.
“Why not? You’ve slaughtered my great army. It’s only fair for me to kill this demon.”
“It’s okay, Mason. I’m fine,” Scarlett stuttered.
“Shut your mouth, demon whore,” the female centaur snarled and flicked the blade of the dagger across Scarlett’s cheek. Scarlett yelped in pain, and blood seeped from the shallow wound.
“You’re Mazara, aren’t you? Queen of the Dark Forest,” Hestia speculated.
“You most certainly know who I am and who my husband was. You and your evil organization snuck into our domain and slit his throat. Then they stole one of our most sacred possessions.”
“I wasn’t a part of that despicable quest. I told them not to do it, but they didn’t listen. I’m no longer a member of the Bureau,” Hestia crossed her arms.
“You knew about it, but you didn’t stop it. You deserve to die as much as the rest of them do.”
“Okay then, let her go and kill me. She had nothing to do with this. The citizens of this town had nothing to do with the death of your king. The Bureau is to blame!”
“Festerfield and its people harbor the Bureau. Do they not?”
“No, they don’t harbor them. The town has no clue what they do. My gods, they used to be a good organization before Hector the drow took over. He’s to blame, not the town of Festerfield. The citizens here are peaceful. They didn’t deserve any of this.”
“The citizens...were peaceful,” she said with a devilish grin.
“What do you mean ‘were’? What have you done?” I probed with wide eyes.
“This town was a cancer in this province. Crowgate is better without these leeches.”
“You’re lying. You’re fucking lying,” Hestia trembled as her eyes filled with tears.
Mazara slapped Scarlett across the face with the back of her hand. “Go ahead, tell them.”
“She’s telling the truth,” Scarlett whimpered.
Hestia and Selene broke down and fell to their knees.
I shook my head. “She killed everyone? Everyone?”
Scarlett sniffled and slowly nodded. “Yes.”
“Well, that isn’t entirely true. I crucified that runt mayor on the road here. I’m sure you saw him. Is he dead yet? I hope not. I wanted him to look at those pieces of meat impaled on those poles until he died a long slow death.”
“You failed there. He’s alive, and we freed him,” I growled.
“That’s actually better. Ernst can think about the horror here for the rest of his pathetic life. He can return to an empty city stained in the blood of its citizens young and old.”
“You’re probably wondering why I didn’t kill this demon whore if I killed everyone else? For this very reason. I wanted to see your faces as I told you about what happened here. I wanted you to watch her die right in front of your weak eyes.”
I was at a loss of what to do. I could fly up there, but I wouldn’t get there before her throat was slit. I had nothing to negotiate with. I had nothing that the queen wanted. What the hell was I going to do? I was enraged and terrified at the same time.
“We can help you,” I announced.
The girls looked over at me with perplexed expressions.
Mazara cackled for a couple of moments then she got a hold of herself. “You can help me? How so?”
“We can get rid of the Bureau for you. They’re ultimately responsible for all of this. Let Scarlett go, and we’ll kill them for you. We’ll bring you the head of this Hector character.”
I knew that she wouldn’t go for this, but I tried to distract her from Piper sneaking away from her eyesight. I wanted to keep her attention solely on me. I saw out of the corner of my eye Piper pulling her plasma rifle out of her inventory. She slowly entered the bottom of the building that Mazara and Scarlett were in. She would have to be fast. Mazara would quickly realize that one person was missing. The issue would be Piper’s mechanical leg. It was a challenge for her to be quiet. Some upgrades could help her with this, but she didn’t want upgrades until she got the hang of the original leg. I liked her thinking, but now I wish I would have pushed for some upgrades.
Hestia caught on to what I was trying to do. “Yeah, I know where they’re at right now. We can go now and kill them. Take Scarlett with you to the Dark Wood. You’ll let her go only when we bring you Hector’s head. That sounds like a good deal to me.”
Scarlett’s face showed sadness and fear. She didn’t know what Piper was up to. She must have thought we were serious about letting the mad queen take her. I wanted to calm her fears somehow, but it wasn’t possible.
Mazara’s focus unlocked from Hestia and me. She moved her eyes to the other girls. She was going to notice Piper missing. “Where is the crippled girl?”
“Right here bitch!” Piper yelled as she fired her plasma weapon. Mazara turned and was met with multiple plasma rounds square in the face killing her instantly and knocking her off the roof. The queen’s corpse was impaled on a broken fence. It seemed fitting for what she had done to those people up the road. Scarlett dove off the roof quickly. She soared into my arms and began to sob.
“Fuck yeah, sis, that was super badass!” Lola shouted as she pumped her fist in the air.
I squeezed the succubus tight and swayed with her back and forth. “It’s okay now. You’re alright.”
She nodded quickly into my shoulder as she sobbed. “I know, I know. Thank you so much!” She pulled away and looked at the girls and back at me. “I’m so sorry for leaving as I did. I told you all that I wouldn’t, and I did anyway. I’m ashamed.”
I ran my fingers through her long red hair and shook my head. “What’s done is done. I’m just glad you’re okay.”
Piper sauntered up with her weapon on her shoulder.
Scarlett heard her footsteps and darted over to her for a hug. “You saved my life. Thank you. I don’t know how I can ever repay you.”
“We’re a family. You’d have done the same thing for me or any one of us,” Piper assured the succubus.
“You’re right. I would do anything for this family,” Scarlett vowed as she blew a kiss to everyone.
Lola held up her hand. “Funny you should say that. We are getting another family member soon.”
Scarlett pinched her eyebrows. “Who?”
Lola smiled and hopped up and down. “Boz is pregnant!”
Chapter Sixteen
Ernst decided to use the med kit that we left him and return to Festerfield. He was devastated to find out that the town had been annihilated. There was a miracle that we were thrilled to see. Several families escaped through the sewer after we did, and they returned after they heard all of the gunfire. Fifty people returned the day that we left. Ernst and these people vowed to rebuild what was lost some way and somehow. I told them that we would return when we were able to get the materials we needed to build the teleportation device to my new apartment that Ernst gave me when I arrived in Festerfield. We would try to help the town as much as we could. With the teleportation device installed, Selene would be able to get her business up and running again. She could still pass through the portal back to Station 15 daily to stay with us -- her new family. I helped to burn all of the centaur corpses outside of the city. It was the least that I could do for the town.
After we said our goodbyes to Ernst, Selene and Hestia drove the tank back to Station 15. I happily retrieved the Bulldog and drove it home. Piper, Lola, and Scarlett were along for the ride. The girls were surprisingly quiet during the drive. We asked Scarlett if she wanted to talk about her captivity at the hands of Mazara, but she said she wasn’t ready to talk about it. We understood and didn’t push her for any answers. We told if she was ever willing to speak that we were prepared to listen.
When we arrived home, we were met by an excited Boz who couldn’t wait to fill Scarlett in on her new pregnancy. My heart melted when I saw the twinkle in the lizard girl’s eyes. She was very excited, and I was as well. I couldn’t wait to welcome my new son or daughter into the world. It was a dangerous world, but we would keep the baby safe and love it more than any baby has ever been loved before.
I informed Oliver that we would ride back with him to his farm. My conscience wouldn’t let me allow this helpful gnome to go home by himself. I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if something were to happen to the little guy. He protested, of course, but I told him that he would either let us go with him or he would stay permanently with us at Station 15. Hestia requested to ride along with me in the tank. I was thrilled that she wanted to go. I didn’t want to go by myself, and I was excited that we would be able to get to know one another better. Selene gave Hestia and me a crash course on how to drive the tank. She had become extremely attached to the machine and called it her baby. After we passed Selene’s tank operation class to her satisfaction, we were off. We drove in front of Oliver and his wagon and two horses. We moved slowly and kept an eye out for anything that wanted to eat us. We finally made it to Petunia’s farm and dropped the little guy off in the most beautiful place on Lelara -- that I’d seen, of course. Petunia wanted us to spend the night, but I was ready to be at home with my girls and on my own bed. She wouldn’t let us leave without feeding us a fantastic meal of pork chops, rice, gravy, and corn on the cob. We said our goodbyes and we were on our way back home. On this trip, we could go at the max speed of 42 mph.
“Mason, thanks again for allowing me to stay with you at the refuge. I’m so thankful,” Hestia said with a warm smile.
“You’re family now. I take care of my family. Thank you for being fucking awesome.”
Hestia paused and took a deep breath. “We haven’t talked about our kiss. I’m sorry if I was out of line. I don’t know what overcame me.”
“I’m still reeling from that kiss. Who doesn’t want to be kissed by a drop-dead gorgeous woman? I just hope it happens again and wasn’t just a one-time thing,” I smiled and patted the cheetah girl on her muscular but slender thigh.
“How about now?” Hestia whispered in my ear.
“I would like that,” I replied as I pulled her lips to mine.
She moaned and stuck her tongue in my mouth. I ran my fingers through her long, yellow hair. Hestia straddled me, and our kiss became much more ravenous. I stopped the tank and shut the engine off.
“I want you now, Mason,” Hestia pleaded as she lifted from my lap and unbuckled my pants. She pulled my pants and underwear down at once. When she saw my rock-hard cock, she moaned and licked her lips.
“Is that to your liking, my cheetah girl?”
“Yes, it’s so big. I need it inside of me now. Right here in this chair. I need you to fuck my wet pussy. Please,” she begged as she slid the crotch of her tiny loincloth to the side, revealing her beautiful pink pussy. Her loincloth was soaking wet, and her pussy begged to be fucked. She held my shaft and sat down slowly. She was tight, but her juices made me slide right in her warm snatch.
“Fuck, you feel so good,” Hestia panted as she increased her speed.
“Damn, you are fucking beautiful,” I gushed as I removed her top. She had the most petite tits of my girls, but they were perky and sexy as hell. I palmed both of them as she rode my cock. She moaned and hissed as I began to tug at her hard nipples with my fingertips.
“You’re going to make me come, oh fuck,” Hestia gasped as she rode me faster and harder.
“You like me fucking your little pussy?”
“Yes, stretch it for me. Fuck me hard,” Hestia screamed as she reached her climax. She began convulsing and slamming her fists on the back of the driver’s seat. “I want you to fill me with your cum. I want you to breed me. Fuck my pussy and make it yours. I want your cum deep inside of me. Don’t stop.”
“Your wish is my command,” I agreed and placed my hands on her hips to force her on my dick harder and harder.
My balls were throbbing and ready to explode into the cheetah girl. “You want my seed? You want me to give it to you?” I pulled her lengthy hair, and her head fell backward.
“Gods, paint my pussy with your seed. Fuck, I’m coming again. Oh, my gods!”
I couldn’t hold back anymore, and my balls released a torrent of milky seed deep inside her. Ropes of cum spurted for several moments. I pulled her down on me as far as she could go. I wanted to give her the seed she desired.
“Fuck, that was amazing. You’re amazing,” I panted and wiped the sweat from my brow with my forearm.
“Mason, I want to be yours. I want to be a wife to you. I want to bind myself to you forever. Please, will you have me?” Hestia begged.
“Hell yes, I want you to be my lifetime companion. I want you to be my wife and carry my children.”

REBORN AS A FIRE MAGE!, VOL. 3
Chapter One
“Daddy, look at me!” Rez waved from the top of the tall tree. Rez had grown exponentially over the past three years. Boz told me that lizardkin children reached maturity within ten years. At three years old, he looked like what an 7-year-old human would look like. It was mind-boggling to see him grow in size and intellect so fast.
My son stood almost 48 inches in height with green skin, yellow eyes, and shoulder-length jet black hair. With the mixture of human and lizardkin DNA, his skin was a lighter green than his mother’s. Rez’s eyes were yellow like his mother, but instead of the black reptilian pupil, they looked more rounded, like a human’s pupil. His tail was shorter than his mother’s, but he still had one. Rez looked exactly how you would expect a part-human part lizardkin child would look.
He was outgoing and a handful. Rez loved spending time in the surrounding forest. He loved to run and climb trees. Seeing the speed that the little boy possessed was insane. I stood in awe of the child most days.
“Be careful, that's quite a drop,” I replied with my hand over my brow to block the sun.
“Psh, it’s nothing. I ain’t falling, anyway! I’m awesome!”
I smiled. “I won’t disagree, but be careful anyway.”
Rez soared from branch to branch, cheering with each jump. “Come on, mom. Catch me!”
Boz chuckled as she looked up with her hands on her hips.
“I don’t think I can. You’re too fast.”
“Ah, it’s my birthday! You’re required to do what I say!”
“I am? I don’t think I’ve seen that in the rulebook.” Boz looked over at me and shrugged. She sunk her claws into the tree's bark and ascended in record pace.
“Yeah! Come on! You can’t catch me, old lady!”
I laughed with a headshake. “You’re asking for it. You don’t call a lady old.”
Boz chased the birthday boy across the forest canopy for several minutes. Each of them laughed uncontrollably as they enjoyed their time together.
My communicator notified me of an incoming message from the refuge. I placed my index finger behind my ear to get ready.
Lola’s always chipper voice broke through the silence. “Mason. You there?”
“The communicator is installed on my body. I’m always here unless I’m dead.”
“Oh, yeah. Right,” Lola giggled.
“What’s up?”
“We’ve gotten everything done for the surprise party for Rez. I’m so excited for him to see!”
“He’s gonna flip. How did the cake turn out?”
“I think it looks good. My cake skills were on the rusty side, but it looks like the fire truck you described.”
“I’m sure it looks amazing. Thanks for doing it.”
Rez has been asking a lot of questions about my past. My job fascinated him as a firefighter back on earth. Kids love fire trucks. What better birthday cake design is there?
“No problem. I love that little guy as if he was my own. He’s so sweet and perfect.”
“Boz is chasing him all over the place. Most parents would be terrified of their kid falling from two hundred feet in the air, but they don’t have a half-lizardkin son.”
“Gosh, I would still be a nervous wreck seeing that. Ugh, don’t let him break his leg or something before the birthday party. That would be like super terrible.”
“Now you have me nervous. Thanks a lot.”
“Oh sorry, umm, he’ll be just fine. Well, I gotta make sure everything is perfect. Don’t be long, okay?”
“We will be on our way soon.”
The sudden plop of a lizardkin woman startled me. “Damn Boz, you need to warn me before you do that.”
Boz breathed rapidly, bent over with her hands on her knees. “That kid is getting way too good and fast at this. I was worried that being half-human would make him less agile.”
“Hey, we humans are plenty agile. I was a Crimson Tide superstar! He has Alabama genes in him.”
