Reborn as a Fire Mage!, page 21
Boz’s eyes lit up with excitement. “Yes, my weapon of choice is a bow. I am the best shot in my village. That would be wonderful. I can be of great help with such a weapon.”
I nodded and patted the lizard girl on the shoulder. “A bow it is.”
Piper looked out the window and began firing. “Fiends incoming!”
It startled the hell out of all of us. Since the moment we found Boz, we forgot we were in a deadly area with monsters that wanted to eat us alive. Lola darted to the window and began firing alongside her sister. Scarlett equipped her pistol and began firing too. When I glanced outside the front of the shop, a herd of 15 fiends made their way toward the shop.
“Goddamit, Boz, come with me out back but stay behind me. I’m guessing more of these fuckers are headed from this direction too.”
“Don’t we need a ranged weapon? I only have this blade, and you have some sort of club? I have never seen such a weapon,” Boz said nervously.
I held the palm of my hand out and conjured a tennis ball-sized fireball, and smiled into the reptilian eyes of the green-scaled beauty. “I’m a fire mage. Follow me.”
Her eyes widened as the glow from the fireball reflected in yellow eyeballs. “Beautiful.”
“Follow me,” I commanded as I charged toward the backdoor of the shop. As soon as I reached the door, a fiend drug itself over the threshold. I slammed the fireball in its face causing it to screech and raise its hands to its face. I kicked it in the stomach as hard as I could, and it soared backward onto its back. The fire had already reached its brain. It was dead. There were eight of these things coming toward my location.
“Boz, causing damage to the brain kills them.”
“Got it,” Boz nodded and lunged toward a fiend to my left. She spun counterclockwise and sliced through the fiend's neck, decapitating the monster perfectly. I was so dumbfounded by the agile attack that a fiend grabbed me to my right. I began punching the fiend as hard as I could in the head. It lost its balance and fell backward against a stack of crates. My punches left some trauma to its already hideous face, but it was not a fatal attack by any stretch of the imagination. I stabbed the forked end of my halligan bar into its head, ending its existence. I turned quickly, panicked to see if Boz was okay. She was swinging her machete gracefully and accurately, taking out fiends left and right.
“Fuck, she’s a badass,” I said to myself as I began to throw a flurry of fireballs at the remaining fiends. My accuracy has gotten much better. Practicing the spell was the only way to become truly proficient in the art of fire magic. I engulfed three more fiends as Boz finished what was left.
“Good work, Boz,” I yelled as I scanned the area for more attackers.
“Thank you, this weapon is much better than I expected,” replied Boz as she admired the gore-covered machete blade.
“I think we’re clear back here. Let’s check upfront to see if we can help out. Be mindful of the plasma fire, and don’t get yourself shot.”
“Yes, Mason. I will take great care. Were you injured when the fiend grabbed your arm?” Boz asked with concerned eyes.
“I ain’t got time to bleed,” I said with a deep Jesse Ventura voice. I thought the quote from the brilliant movie Predator was a perfect response in this situation. I just realized since I wasn’t on Earth and these ladies weren’t from Earth, I could use all these movie lines and play them off as my own. They would never know the difference. “Get to the choppa! Eh, the Bulldog!”
I could tell that Boz had no clue what either of those items was but moved her ass toward the front of the building. My eyes were drawn to her tight jeans and glorious ass. Rest assured, when in life and death situations, I will admire a girl’s ass and breasts. I noticed the poor girl didn’t have shoes on. She was on her oversized clawed feet. Maybe the lizardfolk didn’t wear shoes? Perhaps she lost her shoes in the wormhole here? Heck, I lost my fire helmet during my portal experience.
“Are you okay without any shoes?”
Boz looked at her feet, then looked at me. “Lizardfolk, don’t wear shoes. Our feet are large, and the claws on the toes make things difficult.”
“If you’re okay with it, I’m sure as hell okay with it,” I replied with a shrug as I passed her on my way to the front corner of the shop. “Ladies, we’re coming out. Don’t put a plasma round up our asses.”
I raised my hands as I entered their eyesight. “Everyone okay? It looks like you wasted all these bastards. Good work!”
“We’re fine, no injuries here,” Piper responded with a dash of pride.
“Cool, we’re good too. I have a little scratch on this arm, but it’s nothing to worry about. Damn, you should have seen Boz work with that blade. She was awesome!”
“I’m happy for you, Boz,” Lola replied with a nod.
“Okay, it looks like we’ve killed this herd of fiends. Let’s go back in the shop and salvage anything of value. Remember, we can toss what we don’t need in the salvage station at the refugee for easy RP if we don’t have a use for it. Piper, take watch while we get this done.”
Chapter Four
Two more cottages were cleared with no problem. One of them had a solo fiend that I took care of with my halligan. It was a squirter. The spike of my halligan went into its eye socket, and when I retracted the bar, a long stream of nasty goo squirted all over the front of my white tank top. The stink was too much for me to bear, so I removed my shirt and tossed it. The girls were pleased to see me shirtless, of course. Scarlett begged for semen to grow her wings more. As tempting as it was, we were in a dangerous and disgusting place.
I had been covered by this rancid bloody goo which didn’t make an erection as easy as it usually was. After we finished salvaging the next cottage, I received a notification that the quest had been completed. Evidently, we had searched the town enough to satisfy the quest requirements. The day was getting away from us, and dusk was on the horizon. We collectively decided to make our way back to the refuge since we completed the quest. There were a few more buildings to search, but we decided that we would come back after we killed the world boss. It bothered me, leaving the buildings unsearched. I kept picturing some sort of fantastic weapon or loot that we would be missing out on.
Nonetheless, it wasn’t wise to stay outside in the dark, especially in an area that we weren’t familiar with. We left the Bulldog near the entry to the village, so we had a small hike back to it. All four of the girls walked side by side in front of me talking to each other. All of them swayed their hips as they walked. Their tails wagged and fluttered with each step. Ass cheeks bounced and jiggled most agreeably. I would get a sultry over-the-shoulder glance from Lola periodically, which I would reward with a wink. I was a lucky man.
A few yards from the vehicle, there was a rustling in the tree line to my right. I stopped and looked for the source. The girls hadn’t heard the sound, so they were still sauntering toward the Bulldog. The rustling stopped soon after I had noticed it initially. I took a couple of steps forward and heard it again.
“Mason, what the hell are you doing? Come on!” yelled Piper as she held the driver’s side door to the Bulldog open.
I held up my hand for her to be quiet and wait a minute for me to continue.
Rawr!
A huge fiend that I had never seen before erupted from the tree line. It was seven feet tall and extremely fat. The fiend looked like it weighed 700 pounds at least. It was bald, and its skin was covered with green slime. I was frozen in fear. It roared again and took a few more thunderous steps toward me.
“Mason! Run!” the girls screamed frantically. I glanced at them and saw Lola and Piper charging toward me with their guns raised. The monster began to pulse a green glow, and a rotten odor began to emit from its body. I snapped out of my stupor and pivoted to run toward the Bulldog. I heard a wet explosion followed by a blast wave smacking me forward. I felt an unbearable burning sensation all over my back and neck. Everything went black.
I awoke on my bed in a prone position. I blinked and wiped the sleep from my eyes. My head hurt, and my ears were stopped up. I coughed and began to push myself to my knees.
“Don’t you dare,” Lola said from behind me. “Lie back down. You’re not quite healed yet.”
“How long have I been out?”
“Not long, we haven’t been back home but for a few minutes. You’re heavier than you look, Mason.”
I chuckled for a couple of seconds then the smile dissipated. “What was that thing? When you guys shot it, it exploded?”
“No, we didn’t get a chance to shoot it. It just exploded. We did an analysis of the carcass, and this fiend was called a burster. It’s an offensive weapon. It explodes and covers its enemies with this acidy goo. The blast knocked you forward a few yards, and you went unconscious when you smacked into the ground. Your back was covered with this slime shit. Your bunker pants blocked any burns to your legs, but they are in pretty bad shape right now. We found some burn foam stuff on the terminal and put it all over your back. It’s working, but you aren’t healed completely yet,” Lola then turned her head toward the door. “Girls! He’s awake!”
Soon after, I heard footsteps thundering down the hallway. Piper was the first to enter the room, followed by Scarlett, then Boz. Each of them had a concern-laced smile on their face. “Gods, Mason are you alright?” Piper asked as she sat on the side of the bed.
“I’m fine. Thank you ladies, for taking care of me.”
“Of course, you take care of all of us,” Scarlett added.
“I’m glad you are awake, Mason,” Boz, the lizard girl, murmured, clearly uncomfortable about her place in the world.
“I’m fine, really. Let me get up,” I demanded as I pushed upward once more. Piper palmed the back of my head and forced me back onto the mattress.
“Cooperate, please. We need you at 100%. Tomorrow morning the world boss will spawn,” Piper barked.
“Oh shit, I had forgotten all about that. Damn, we must get ready. We need to upgrade the Bulldog and our gear. I need to get one of those wrist terminals, and I need to get Boz a bow,” I replied and began to push myself up again.
Lola pushed me back down again. “Down boy, down!”
“You are so stubborn, Mason. Let us take care of you!” Piper growled.
“Alright, alright, I’m going to lay here for an hour, then I'll get up. No discussion.”
“Fine, an hour will suffice,” Piper replied victoriously.
“Lola was kind enough to purchase a bow for me from the computer device near the door. It is wonderful, thank you,” Boz interjected.
“Oh, cool. Can I see it?” I asked with curious eyes.
The lizard girl nodded and came closer. She accessed her inventory screen and pulled a large obsidian bow that was almost as tall as Lola was. She pressed a button, and the bow string appeared instantly. However, it wasn’t a string at all. It was a string of arcane blue energy. “Beautiful, isn’t it?”
“Holy shit, that’s cool as hell. Did you get some arrows and a quiver to carry them too?” I asked with wide eyes.
Lola clapped and giggled. “Show him Boz, show him!”
Boz nodded and pressed another button. A bright blue arrow appeared out of thin air already nocked. Boz pulled the string back and shot a blue arrow out the window. There was a whoosh sound, but it was mixed with electrical noise. After that arrow was gone, another appeared in its place. Boz pressed the same button, and the arrow went away.
“Is that...plasma?” I asked.
“Yes, those are plasma arrows. It is going to be an awesome weapon for her,” Lola said.
Boz nodded as she unequipped her bow. “I am very thankful. I can be very helpful with this.”
“I have no doubt you can. You’re very welcome,” I replied with a warm smile.
“Mason, you’ve been asleep for two hours. You’re healed up now,” Scarlett whispered.
I stretched and yawned and rolled onto my back. “Shoot, why did you let me sleep that long? I don’t need to be a lazy ass with a world boss fight coming up tomorrow.”
Scarlett chuckled. “Relax, everything’s going to be fine. We have plenty of time,” she began to rub my chest with her soft hands.
“Mmm, that feels nice.”
Scarlett exhaled. “I’ve come to collect.”
“You don’t give up, do you?”
“Nope, I always get what I want,” she murmured.
“I don’t doubt that.”
“So, can I have it?” she asked with hungry eyes.
“Yeah, you can have it, but only after I’ve had you. Stand up and take off your clothes.”
“Yes, Mason.” Scarlett stood beside the bed and began to slide her spaghetti straps off her shoulders. She bit her bottom lip as her enormous breasts plopped out of her top. She slid her leather all the way down to her ankles and stood in front of me with no underwear. Her carpet matched the drapes. It was red and soft to the touch.
“Fuck, you look amazing,” I whispered as I sat on the side of the bed, placing my feet on the floor. I grabbed her by both cheeks and pulled her chest to my face. I moaned as I squeezed her right breast while I placed my mouth on the massive nipple of her left.
“Gods,” she gasped and began running her fingers through my hair. She could suffocate someone in these tits if she wanted to.
After giving proper attention to the succubus’ glorious rack, I lifted her and plopped her on the bed. She let out a gasp of excitement.
“Fuck me, Mason. Make me yours. Do whatever you want with my body.”
I grabbed my cock and slapped it on her folds, causing her to breathe harder and squirm.
“For the love of the gods, fuck my pussy, Mason,” Scarlett growled. She extracted her claws on her right hand and touched my chest carefully so as not to tear my flesh.
“Ouch, are you going to hurt me if I don’t fuck you?”
“Maybe,” she replied with greedy eyes.
I plunged my dick into her sopping wet pussy all the way to the hilt and began to pound her immediately.
“Fuck, Mason. Gods, you’re so fucking big. Stretch my pussy. Fuck me.” Scarlett screamed and gasped for air.
“Scratch my chest while I fuck you,” I demanded. Scarlett lightly touched my chest with the tips of her sharp claws.
“Make me bleed, my little succubus,” I commanded her.
She raised a brow and showed me a devilish grin. I thrust harder as she dug her claws into my chest. Warm blood oozed out of the cuts and streamed down my body. The combination of pain and pleasure rocked my brain.
“Oh fuck, I’m coming for you. Don’t stop!” Scarlett screamed as she slashed at my chest some more.
I was reaching a crescendo, but I didn’t want to stop pounding her until her orgasm was over.
“Scarlett, you still want my cum in your mouth.”
“Fuck yes,” Scarlett replied with burning lust. I pulled out my cock from her pussy and put it in her mouth. I watched my crimson blood continue to stream downward. There wasn’t going to be much sucking. I was ready to blow right then and there.
I unloaded my milky seed into her warm mouth. “Holy fuck!”
Scarlett moaned and swallowed my cum. A few seconds later, her wings began to grow. Mission accomplished.
I swiped through the terminal and found exactly what I was searching for.
Forearm Mounted Portable Terminal
15,000 Reward Points
“Damn, that’s pricey, but I need it badly,” I said under my breath. I inhaled deeply then pressed the purchase button.
The item floated in front of me, rotating clockwise. I grabbed the rectangular object and looked at it more closely. It looked like I cut out a part of the screen on an iPad. As I analyzed the device, I learned that I was to place the terminal on the top of my forearm. I didn’t see any strapping or adhesive to attach it to my arm, but I had to trust the product. I laid the rectangular piece on the top of my forearm near the wrist. I tapped the smooth dark surface. The screen lit up a bright blue color.
Initializing…
Suddenly I felt several stabs on my forearm. The underbelly of the rectangular device stuck me with four barbs into my flesh. I cringed and grunted.
“What’s wrong?” Piper asked.
“Fucking thing stabbed me.”
Piper kissed me on the cheek. “Aww, you poor baby.”
“Don’t make fun of me. It hurts,” I smiled.
The initialization process was completed, and the store opened. “Ah, it looks the same, just smaller. This is going to be useful.”
“I agree. That was a very wise choice, Mason,” Echo interjected. “Do you know what another wise choice would be?”
“No, what?” I asked with a brow raised.
“Providing me with upgrades that will allow me to protect myself and help you.”
“Ah yeah, I haven’t forgotten. After we kill this world boss, I will give you some upgrades, okay?”
“I suppose so,” Echo replied, then abruptly turned and floated away like a pissed-off girlfriend.
I turned and looked at Piper with wide eyes. “Is Echo actually pissed at me? He must be evolving to the point where he understands and exhibits emotions. Probably not as deep as we do, but he will show some emotion from now on, I bet.”
“I wonder if it is a good idea to give him any weapons. Who's to say he won’t shoot you when you piss him off,” Piper chuckled while biting her thumbnail.
I went out to analyze the Bulldog to see if there would be any improvements that would be worthwhile. Swiping through the screens, I strengthened the armor, increased the tire size to manage rough terrain, and improved the shocks. Finally, I hopped on the top to check out the plasma turret to determine if we needed any improvements to that. Luckily the upgrades to the Bulldog hadn’t been costly. The armor strengthening was the most expensive of the three improvements at 9,000 reward points. After a couple of minutes of searching, I found something that would help in this battle with the world boss a lot. There was an option to add a plasma grenade launcher to the plasma turret.
