Scarlet began to squeeze my balls while she sucked my cock. The wet sucking sound of the blow job, along with the wet sounds from Lola fondling her sopping damp pussy brought me to the edge. I grabbed her horns and pulled as I spurted streams of milky seed into her throat. My orgasm prompted Lola to come along with me. I watched the cat girl girate from her climax while the succubus sucked every drop.

Pure pleasure turned into shock as I watched her wings begin to grow. They grew an extra 10% in size. It was amazing to see. It was a bit creepy as well. I’m not going to lie.

“Holy fuck Scarlet, it worked. They grew,” I said as I continued to catch my breath.

She pulled her head off, resulting in a wet pop, and laid her head on my stomach. “Thank you, Mason.”

“I’m glad I could help. That was amazing. Oh, fuck.”

“Gods, my panties are so fucking wet. I need some new ones, like now,” Lola said as she pulled her white cotton panties up. I always found it incredibly sexy to watch a woman put panties on, and then pull up their blue jeans. The jeans always look like they are in slow motion when they slide over a plump ass.

  Chapter Eighteen

The remaining trek to the refuge was smooth sailing for the most part. We let Scarlet take point to get more comfortable with combatting the lower fiends. She took out seven of the bastards with her incredible claws before we made it back. As soon as she walked in the door, I was notified that the active quest had been completed in my interface. The 30,000 reward points were a welcome reward that we were going to put to good use. Piper was surprisingly hospitable to Scarlet. I expected Piper to give the succubus the cold shoulder for a few days, but I was wrong. They hit it off quickly. First, we spent time purchasing Scarlet the bed she wanted. Piper asked if she wanted to sleep in her room, and the succubus happily agreed to the invitation. Next, I bought the succubus her own plasma rifle and pistol. We went over how they worked and how to operate the plasma turret. For the next couple of days, I took her out into the plain to practice shooting the scattered fiends. She was a natural with firearms. Her claws were so vicious and effective that she didn’t need a melee weapon at her disposal. We set up a makeshift patio on the roof where we would just hang out and drink alcohol. Yup, we were able to purchase alcohol in the shop, and the roof was where we ate our meals on lovely days.

“Mason, it appears that a humanoid that is not a fiend lurks on the horizon. He or she seems to be on some mode of transportation. The vehicle has two wheels. I believe in your world this vehicle is called a motorcycle. It has stopped, and the humanoid is looking in our direction,” announced Echo.

I lunged out of my chair on the rooftop and darted to the railing. I had purchased a pair of binoculars a couple of days before to look for fiends that Scarlet could practice killing. As I focused the lens on giving me the best clarity, I saw that it was our green-skinned friend on a shiny, black motorcycle. He knew that I was looking at him with binoculars because he grinned.

“It’s him,” I said with concern in my voice.

  “Who?” Piper asked.

“Kholgoth, the big green fellow from the other day. He’s just sitting there staring at us. I wonder what he’s up to. I need all three of you to equip weapons and get on the scaffold on the front wall. I’ll man the plasma turret. Hopefully, he just goes back to where he came from, but we need to be prepared. He does have that shield. However, I just don’t see him charging the refuge by himself.”

  “Asshole,” Lola said.

  “Can I see?” Scarlet asked.

I handed her the binoculars and she lifted them to her face. “This Kholgoth character is an orc.”

“An orc? I knew he looked like something I had seen before. My roommate in college used to play a video game called World of Warcraft, and he played with an orc. In the game, they were a tough race of strong warriors, and they were pissed most of the time.”

“That is pretty accurate. We have orcs back on Fierra. The Voltar would go to war with them periodically over land disputes. They were a ruthless bunch. From the looks of Kholgoth, I would expect nothing less from him,” Scarlet replied and handed me the binoculars.

“Come on, you two, let's get our weapons and get on the wall!” Piper demanded. The girls pulled their rifles out of their inventories and darted downstairs and out the front door to the wall. I looked into the binoculars periodically to see any movement by the orc.

“What is he doing? He’s just sitting there?” I asked myself quietly. “Girls, don’t point your guns. We don’t want to show aggression. Maybe he’s just watching us. Hell, if I know.”

“Got it!’ the girls said in unison.

The wind whipped through the compound as we stood in silence, staring down the orc, waiting to see his intentions. A drop of sweat descended my cheek, and my stomach was filled with butterflies. We sat there for a good ten minutes without any movement from the mysterious orc. Finally, Kholgoth turned his head and motioned at something.

“What the hell is he doing?” Piper asked.

A dark vehicle emerged from the hills beside the orc. He motioned for it to move toward us. Kholgoth stayed put, though. I descended the stairs as quickly as I had ever moved down stairs before.

“What is that thing coming? Looks like a bus or something,” shouted a terrified Lola.

I stood behind the plasma turret. “Echo, do you recognize this vehicle?”

“It appears to be an armored transport,” the celestial assistant replied.

  “Armored transport? Fuck!”

“It’s not slowing down, Mason. It’s speeding up,” Piper said frantically.

“What do we do?” asked Scarlet in a surprisingly calm voice.

“Start shooting!” I squeezed the trigger on the plasma turret to bring it to life.

The girls followed suit and began firing their rifles at the armored car that was headed straight for us. It was going to ram the wall. It looked like an out-of-control freight train. Our weapons were not slowing down the speeding bullet at all. It was aimed at the wall directly under me and the turret. The motor roared like a grizzly bear as it sped up even more.

“Get out of the way, Mason!” Piper screamed in horror. “It’s going to punch through the wall!’

I jumped off the scaffold as the armored car slammed into the wall crashing through. I landed on my feet, and then somersaulted into a wood beam knocking the breath out of me. I rolled on my side to see a door open at the rear of the armored vehicle. Orcs burst out of the back with swords and axes, looking for all of us. The panther man, Varnoth, stood on the roof holding a large dagger in each hand. He roared and flipped off the vehicle to the ground. I counted six orcs and Varnoth.

“Get up, Mason!” Piper demanded as she fired her rifle at one of the orcs taking his arm off.

I pushed myself to my feet and manifested a fireball in each hand. I threw one of them at the armless orc while he was stunned. Blood squirted from his bloody stump. The fireball smashed into his leather chest armor. I tossed another fireball at another orc that charged me with a sizeable weathered ax. This flaming orb smacked him in the face. He dropped his ax as his momentum carried him forward. I had to somersault out of the way to avoid colliding with the flaming orc. He slammed into one of the wooden supports that held up the scaffolding that Scarlet was on. The platform began to collapse with the succubus.

  “Jump!” I shouted.

  Chapter Nineteen

She launched off the platform, still shooting her rifle. Her aim was true, and her plasma rounds ripped through another orc.

“Got him!” Scarlet raised her fist in the air. Lola was firing her rifle like a madwoman at anything that wasn’t any of us.

I saw a sparkle above me: the sunlight reflecting off of Echo, who had ascended out of harm’s way.

  “Where’s Piper?”

“I don’t know. I haven’t seen her since they busted the wall,” Scarlet said as she fired at another orc moron. This one was smart enough to kneel behind some cover. Of course, you would expect them to have some sort of ranged weapons. Raiders of the Lost Ark taught me that guns will always beat swords...well unless the swords are lightsabers.

  “Where’s Varnoth?” I asked Scarlet.

  “Varnoth?”

  “Yeah, the cat man!”

  “I don’t know!”

“Fuck, I bet he’s where Piper’s at. I’ve got to find her! You and Lola kill the stragglers out here.”

“Got it! Find my sister, please!” Lola pleaded as she kept firing.

“Cover me!” I darted to the front entrance. I scanned the first floor frantically and saw nothing. “Piper!”

I heard movement upstairs. I activated fire weapon and ignited my halligan bar, and I soared up the staircase. The noise came from the roof, so I didn’t stop on the second floor. “Piper!”

  “Mason, help me please!”

Piper laid on the ground on the other side with blood gushing from her leg. She reached for me as she screamed in agony. Varnoth, the panther man, laughed as she squirmed on the stone roof.

The beast turned toward me and yelled. “Catch!”

Varnoth tossed something bloody that flipped end over end, slinging blood all over the roof. My jaw dropped, and my blood ran cold when I recognized it was the lower half of Piper’s leg. I caught it in my left hand. I laid it down carefully and looked at Varnoth with the fires of hell in my eyes. “You son of bitch! I’m gonna kill you!”

“Haha, you didn’t like your gift?” Varnoth growled. “I’m hurt. My heart is breaking.”

I glanced at Piper as she lies in a growing blood puddle. I knew she didn’t have much time before she bled out right in front of me. I had to kill Varnoth now.

I darted toward the near 7-foot cat man. I threw a fireball with my right hand while I held the halligan bar in my left. Varnoth dodged the ranged attack with ease. Then he slashed at me with one of his daggers. I raised my bar just in time to block the attack. He sliced at me with the other. I moved the bar to deflect that deadly attack. I slammed a fireball into his chest. The air smelled of burned fur and smoke. I used the halligan to sweep his legs, causing him to fall flat on his back.

Varnoth roared in frustration and pain from his burned chest. Suddenly, I felt a sharp pain in my foot. I looked down and saw Varnoth’s dagger sticking in the top of my boot. I gritted my teeth and moaned as the pain became more intense. My boot began to fill with blood. I was unable to move. The dagger impaled me through my foot into the stone under it. The pain was excruciating with each small movement that I made.

“Mason...I’m...dying,” Piper whispered. Her skin was as white as a ghost. Time was running short. Maybe it was already too late. I began pulverizing the cat man with my halligan with all the strength I could muster. Varnoth stabbed my other foot in the same manner. I could not stand any longer. I fell flat on my back with the daggers still firmly nailing me to the roof. I watched in horror as Varnoth stood over me. He looked down into my fading eyes and growled, showing me his long sharp fangs.

“Times up, punk!” Varnoth announced as he raised his foot in the air over my face. He planned to stomp my head in. I was going to be killed by a cat. I couldn’t wrap my head around that statement. His foot began to drop. My death would arrive in seconds. Plasma rounds bombarded the cat man in the chest, and then the head. Varnoth’s head looked like the Grand Canyon from the penetration of the high-velocity plasma round. His body stood lifeless and plopped onto the roof. Lola and Scarlet saved my life. I stared death square in the eyes and told it to go fuck itself. I turned my attention to Piper. She was no longer conscious. I had to get to her. I took a deep breath and grasped the hilts of the huge daggers in my feet. I counted to three and then yanked the vicious blades from my feet. The pain was excruciating, and the bleeding was bad, but I had to focus on the brutalized catgirl.

“God, please don’t let her die.”

Lola darted over to her sister and knelt at her head. “Piper, gods, look what he did to you. We’re going to help you, right, Mason?”

My mind whirled with emotions. The stress level was ridiculously high. “Scarlet, take your rifle and keep watch in case anyone else shows up. Shoot first and ask questions later.”

“Yes, I’m on it,” Scarlet agreed. Her face was as white as a ghost.

“Thank you,” I turned my attention back to Piper. I had to stop the bleeding, and I knew precisely how. Luckily she was passed out, so she wouldn’t have to bear the pain. “Lola, go to the terminal. You and Echo find the proper medkit for this kind of trauma. I don’t think the medkits we have will be enough.”

Lola looked at me and back at her dying sister.

“Lola! Time is of the essence. Go now! I’m going to stop the bleeding.”

She nodded and took off toward the stairs. “Echo, come on, I need your help.”

“Of course,” Echo replied as he followed.

The amputation was a super clean cut. Varnoth’s dagger was sharp as hell. It was the cleanest amputation I had seen outside of an operating room. I conjured a fireball in my right hand. I placed my left hand on her thigh to hold the stump into place.

“Here it goes,” I muttered to myself as I placed the fireball on her wound to sear it. The sizzle and burnt flesh smell were stomach-churning, but it was the only way to save her life. I pulled my hand away after a couple of seconds to see that the bleeding had stopped.

Piper came to and gasped. “What the...it hurts! My leg, oh gods!”

“Fuck, I know it hurts. I had to stop the bleeding. Lola is going to bring you a medkit. There she is now!” I pointed at her frantic sister.

“Here is some special foam for amputations. It should close the wound up!” Lola popped the top off and sprayed the foam all over the cauterized stump.

  Piper screamed. “It burns! Fuck!”

“It is normal. The flesh and skin are healing, and the muscle and skin are weaving themselves back together. The pain should subside very soon,” Echo said as he floated over our heads to monitor the emergency.

“Are we good, Scarlet?” I asked the red-haired succubus.

“Yeah, nothing is happening. Kholgoth is gone. You need to close up the hole the truck made sooner rather than later.”

“Will do. Thanks for keeping watch. I know you’d rather comfort Piper.”

“I just want to keep us safe, so I’ll do whatever I have to to keep us safe,” Scarlet replied with a half-hearted smile, and then placed her attention back on the plains.

Lola rubbed her sister’s hair gently. “How does it feel now?”

“It hurts, but it’s not as intense. Is this going to grow my leg back, Echo? Piper asked with tears streaming down her pale cheeks.

“No, it will not. I’m sorry. There is no way to grow a limb back on Lelara,” Echo replied.

Piper sobbed heavily. “Why did this happen to me? I’m a cripple now. How am I supposed to live like this? I’m going to be so useless.”

I grabbed her cold hand gently and squeezed it. “Piper, you'll never be useless. We love you and need you however we can get you. We’re so happy you’re alive.”

“He’s right, sis. Mason was able to stop the bleeding from buying us time to find meds for you.”

“I had to burn the stump to cauterize the blood vessels. You would have bled out before they found the kit they needed. It’s no big deal. I’m doing what anyone else would have done.”

Piper squeezed my hand and rubbed her thumb on the top of my hand. “Thank you, Mason, I've been so awful to you, and I’m so sorry.”

I shook my head and smiled. “There’s nothing to apologize for. You just need to concentrate on getting better. We’re good, I promise you.” I lifted her hand to my lips and kissed it softly. Piper smiled warmly at the gesture. I half expected her to slap me right across the face.

“The pain is almost bearable now. Thank you for getting the foam, Lola.”

“No problem, what are sisters for?”

“How am I going to adjust? I’m going to be on crutches for the rest of my life. What the hell, sis?”

Echo descended, and I could tell he had something to say. “I said that there was no way to grow the leg back, but there are very state-of-the-art prosthetics in the shop. It won’t be flesh and blood, but you’ll find a prosthesis that will work well.”

“You hear that, sis?” That’s going to be awesome!”

“Some of the options are even better than an actual leg. I’m scanning through options now,” Echo stated.

“Thanks, we appreciate it,” I replied with a smile.

  Chapter Twenty

I yawned and wiped the sleep from my eyes. I saw Lola sitting at the end of the bed in her “America Fuck Yeah” T-shirt that she loved to sleep in. The back of the shirt had a velociraptor being ridden by Ronald Reagan holding a massive machine gun. It was just long enough to cover her ass.

  “Everything okay?”

“Yeah, I’m just worried about Piper.”

“I know you are. I am too. Have you seen her this morning?”

“Yeah, she was walking around trying to get better with her new prosthesis. She’s getting the hang of it.”

  “Well, that’s good, isn’t it?”

“Yeah, I’m just concerned how she’s doing on the inside, you know?”

“Your sister is strong. She’ll get through this.”

  “I know.”

I put my jeans on and headed to the kitchen. I downed a glass of milk and let out a loud burp. “Woo, that felt nice. My manners are on point this morning.” I dropped the glass into the sink, and then ascended the stairs all the way to the roof, where I usually sat early each day. I loved the fresh air and the cool breeze on my skin. Piper stood at the edge, holding her plasma handgun. She wore a blue string bikini that wasn’t big enough for her. Her tits and ass were barely covered, which was fine by me. My eyes traveled down to her new cybernetic lower leg. Above the knee, she was skin and muscle. Below she was shiny titanium. Personally, I thought she looked utterly badass as she held her gun, barely clothed with her blonde hair blowing in the wind.
