“On the bed, on your hands and knees.”

I scramble to do what he asks. I’m in position for a few seconds before he’s on me, spreading my cheeks open for a second time, but this time, it’s his cock that plows into me.

  I love this.

“I love you,” I whimper, and he pounds into my body brutally.

“Oh fuck, Lexi, yes, you’re perfect. My. Pretty. Fucking. Boy.” He says each word as he thrusts hard and deep into me. “I’m not gonna last long, my love.”

“Yes, yes. Come. Fill me up.”

He keeps one hand on my hip, maintaining the punishing pace, while his other hand sneaks under me and starts jerking me off in quick, rough movements. Before I know it, my orgasm crashes over to me at the same time his does. He flops onto me, pulling me over at the last second so I don’t lie in the wet spot.

I lean in and kiss him.

  “I love you, Ryder.”

  “I love you, Lexi.”

  Chapter twenty-two

  Ryder

“Hey, thanks for the lift,” Kait says, getting into my car after dropping her cheerleading gear into the back seat.

“No worries. I’ll drop you off and then meet you at the event,” I say, pulling out of the space and heading to campus.

“Where’s Lexi?” Kait asks, looking over her shoulder into the back seat as if he’s suddenly going to appear.

“He’s not under your gear.” I laugh. “He stayed at Gio’s. He was nervous.”

  “Lexi?”

  “Nah. Gio, I think.”

I pull up outside the gym, where the team, parents, and coaches are milling about. Sammy and Liz wave manically to Kait.

They rush over to the car and start frantically knocking on my window. Kait rolls it down.

“Oh my god, Kait. I’m so glad you’re here,” Sammy says, looking nervous as hell.

“You do know she’s about to get out of the car? You don’t have to bang on my window like you’re gonna break it.” Sammy says nothing. She just gives me a middle finger.

  Fair one.

“Your dads are here, and they’re stressing Coach Phillips out.”

“Oh shit.” They move back as Kait opens the door and grabs her gear from the back seat. “I’m gonna need you.”

“What do you need me for?”

  “Just come on.”

“Fine.” I put the car in Park and follow the three of them as they lead me around the side of the bus. I see AJ and Todd talking enthusiastically to Coach Phillips.

I’m gonna leave them to it.

I look around for Lexi and find him sitting on a picnic bench outside the gym with Gio, Hudson, and Wyatt, so I make my way over to them.

“Hey, if you clam up, it will be fine. We can just incorporate it into our act,” Hudson says to Gio.

“Dude, that’s not fucking helping,” Wyatt says, smacking Hudson on the chest.

“Hey, guys,” I say. Lexi looks at me and smiles. I love those smiles that he has just for me.

I lean down and take his lips, licking into his mouth for a bruising kiss. I want his lips to be puffy while he’s performing.

“Okay, back up there, Romeo,” says Perry, coming up to us. “Your man is not going to be able to perform with a hard-on.”

“Maybe we should test it out?” I wink at Lexi, making him blush. Fuck that is so sexy. I start to lean down for another kiss but get blocked by a curly-haired flyer.

“I will douse you in ice-cold water. You are not testing anything right before a fucking competition.”

“What are you guys planning on testing?” I freeze as Lexi’s parents, AJ and Todd, make their way over with Kait, who has managed to separate them from Coach Phillips.

“They wanted to see if a cheerleader could be a base and have a hard-on,” Hudson says so not helpfully.

“Oh yeah, totally,” Todd says, looking at AJ. “Remember? Cheer camp ‘95.” AJ just elbows him. I think everyone is okay not hearing that story.

“So, Lexi, got any big news to tell your fathers?” AJ says, changing the subject. “Like if you happen to be in a relationship at all with anyone we might know?”

I turn to Lexi. “You haven’t told your dads about us?” Okay, that stings a little.

“Alexis Torrance Hart. You’ve upset your boyfriend,” Todd says, shaking his head.

“I was going to! I didn’t want to tell them over text, so I thought I’d tell him after the competition. I wasn’t expecting to see them beforehand.” He stands and kisses me lightly.

“Okay, that makes sense. I’ll let you off.” He rolls his eyes.

“Kait’s full name is Kaitlyn Buffy Hart,” Lexi says out of nowhere.

“I fucking knew your middle name was Buffy,” I crow at her. She gives me the middle finger. I seem to be collecting them today.

“I didn’t mean to break our pact,” Kait says to Lexi, who just shrugs with a shit-eating grin.

A piercing whistle sounds. “Everyone on the bus,” Assistant Coach Lopez says.

I pull Lexi to me for one last kiss before he leaves. “Knock them dead, baby,” I whisper just for him.

We watch them all get on the bus and wave them off.

“Ryder,” AJ says, looking at me intently. “Just so you know, if you hurt him, I will kick your ass. But if he hurts you, I will do the same to him.”

They pull me into a hug. “So, how’s your Uncle Garrett doing? We haven’t seen him since your birthday meal last year.”

“Yeah, he’s doing okay. He’s got his garage, and we do our Sunday dinners.”

“We were thinking of coming down next month for Thanksgiving and hosting something at Kait and Lexi’s place. I know you’ll be there, but Garrett has to come too.” I love how AJ and Todd have always included Garrett and me in their lives, especially over the holidays. They seem to know exactly when to push him to hang out.

“That’s a great idea. I’ll ask him.” I love AJ and Todd. They’ve always been so loving and accepting of Garrett and me. I remember overhearing Garrett explain what happened with my parents. I learned some new curse words that day.

“How about we all ride together? We’ve obviously got to grill you about your intentions toward Lexi, and it makes sense environmentally to just take one car,” AJ says very seriously.

“Okay, but my intentions are good. I’m going to marry him on the beach after college and live happily ever after.” AJ and Todd look a bit stunned. “Oh, and we will be getting matching tattoos.” I get in the car, and they scramble after me.

The drive to the event takes forty-nine minutes and fifty-nine seconds.

I know that because it’s also the entire length of the 10 Things I Hate About You soundtrack, which we listened to between the interrogation.

Parking is surprisingly easy, and we get to our seats a good hour before the competition starts. Who knows how long it will be until we see the Flora Vista performance, but I can’t wait. The place is like a small football stadium, but they’re only using half for the crowds and performance. The other half is the backstage area for the cheerleaders to get ready, practice, and hang out.

Nine different universities come and go before Flora Vista is up. A few of them hang around in a space in front of the stage so they can watch and cheer the other squads.

FVU comes streaming out, and they look amazing in their forest-green cheerleader pants and their white and green shirt with FVU in sparkly fabric. Most of the girls are wearing white and green pleated skirts, but a few of the girls have chosen to wear cheerleading pants like the guys.

I wonder if I can get hold of one of those cheerleading skirts for Lexi.

As they come running on, cheering and clapping, whooping and hollering, I seek out Lexi. I love seeing his face light up. You can tell some have a plastered-on cheerleading face but not his smile. You can just tell how genuine his love for cheerleading is. His happiness just shines through. It’s amazing. He will be an excellent coach.

He says he wants to live on the beach, but maybe he wouldn’t mind waiting a few years for me to get experience and open my own garage. Or we’ll move Garrett’s down there when he retires.

I will do anything for him. I will move to France if that’s what he wants. I don’t know why I said France. I can’t even speak French. Maybe I should learn? I could download Duolingo. Get a grip, Ryder. He doesn’t want to move to France. He wants to move to the beach, and there’s one of those an hour away.

  So we will do that.

I could do that as a commute.

The techno music I’ve heard at their practices comes on, quieting my thoughts.

It’s amazing what they do. People fly through the air with such precision. Complete faith and trust that that base will catch them.

I’m watching Lexi catch Perry when the music suddenly stops.

Shit, it’s only been going for thirty seconds. There’s no way the music should be stopping now. I look over at AJ and Todd, who have matching looks of horror etched on their faces.

  Oh fuck.

  Chapter twenty-three

  Lexi

“All right,” Coach Phillips says as we stand behind the curtain, ready to go on. The emcee is just congratulating the last team and beginning to introduce us. “Remember, this is for charity, okay? I want you to go out there, and I want you to give it your all because even though this competition is for charity, it’s still a competition. You’re still Flora Vista. You can do this.”

  “Yes, Coach!” we chant.

“Good, get out there. Have fun. Nail it.”

We run onto the big blue mat, and I can’t help scanning the audience for Ryder and my dads. I see them four rows up. Right at the front. Standing and cheering for us. I love it when people cheer for the cheerleaders. I’ve seen Ryder standing with them at countless competitions and games, but knowing he’s there for me and not just Kait makes me feel warm and fuzzy. It pumps me up so much. I know in my bones we will win this competition.

We get into our formation. I take a deep breath and let it out.

“We got this,” screams Kait as the music kicks in.

My legs move on muscle memory.

We toss Perry into the air as he does a rollover and then lands in a bucket drop.

As I hoist him, the music cuts out. Shit. We know the routine, but we need the beat count to keep us all in sync.

Kait starts counting loudly, and we all copy her. The cheerleaders that stayed out here to watch other performances start to join in. Then the audience gets involved, and before I know it, the whole stadium is counting with us as we go through our whole cheer routine. Not one fucking step wrong. We are absolutely flawless, ending in a giant pyramid.

I look out at the crowd from my spot at the base. I see Ryder and my dads counting at the top of their lungs and clapping along.

People may give cheerleaders a lot of shit from what they see in TV shows and movies, but that’s not real life. I mean, yeah, I’m sure you can get the odd bitchy cheerleader, just like you can get bitchy anyone, but cheerleaders have a community. Just because our football teams may have rivals doesn’t mean we do. We encourage and support each other, and I think today just proves that.

As soon as we dismount, Sammy going first as she’s at the top of the pyramid, we all embrace in a giant group hug. The emcee comes on.

“That was amazing. Congratulations, Flora Vista, for doing so well under such difficult circumstances. And thank you for helping them. This is what cheerleading is all about. And this is what the LGBTQ+ charity is all about. Helping each other out, supporting each other. You’ve been amazing. Let’s give them a huge round of applause.”

We wave to the crowd, and I get a wink from Ryder as we head out back. Coach Phillips is waiting for us.

“Holy fuck, you guys were amazing out there,” she says, looking stunned.

“Coach, I’ve never heard you swear before,” Liz says, laughing.

“Hey, if any time is the time to swear, it’s now.” She looks at all of us seriously. “Your music went down, and you still killed that performance. I am incredibly proud of all of you.”

We’re the last performance, so luckily, we don’t have to wait long to hear the result.

“The winner of the Rainbow Dreams Cheerleading Championship is Flora Vista University.” The crowd erupts, and I’m engulfed in a Gio-and-Perry sandwich. “FVU and all the amazing squads have helped us raise twenty-seven thousand four hundred and twenty-three dollars to help queer kids fund their educational and vocational needs.”

  We did it.

I never want this feeling to end.

“Baby, you need to stop moving your ass, or I am going to find a room and fuck you,” Ryder whispers.

“That’s not a deterrent,” I say, wiggling in his lap more.

“Do you guys realize you aren’t as quiet as you think you are?” Gio asks from his seat next to Ryder on the couch. After our win, we went to a diner with my dads to celebrate before they headed home and we decided on an impromptu party at the cheer house.

“We’ll make sure we leave your room alone.” I smile sweetly at him.

“You better. No one is having sex in my bed,” Gio declares loudly.

“No wonder you’re so uptight,” Tucker says, turning to us. “I can help you rectify that.”

“You wish,” Gio grumbles. “I’m gonna get another beer.” Tucker watches him go with a sigh before sitting in his vacant seat.

“So, you guys are together.” Tucker smiles at me, and I beam back.

“We are.” I press a kiss on Ryder’s cheek. “Pining for the love of your life is the way to go.”

“I’ll keep that in mind.” Tucker chuckles.

“Want to come to the next movie night?” Ryder asks Tucker, surprising us all. “It’s my night to choose, but if there’s a movie you want to watch, go for it.”

Tucker and I look at each other in shock.

Tucker finds his voice first. “Thanks, man. I vote for The Little Giants.”

“Oh my god, Devon Sawa was my first crush. Whenever Garrett would babysit me, I’d ask to watch Casper. My parents didn’t approve because it was ‘supernatural.’” He uses finger quotes for that last word. “I also wasn’t allowed to watch Wizards of Waverly Place. Dickheads.”

“Yeah, they sound shitty,” Tucker says. “Casper is also a nineties movie. How about a Devon Sawa night?”

  “I’m in.”

“In what?” Perry says, throwing himself down next to Tucker.

“We’re going to have a Devon Sawa night.”

Perry shrugs. “I don’t really know what that means, but I hope you enjoy yourselves.” He looks out at the party. His usual sparkle is missing.

“You okay, man?” I ask him. Another shrug.

“I think I need some sleep. See you in the morning.” He stands and kisses my cheek before making his way upstairs.

“I’m gonna go check on him,” I tell Ryder with a kiss.

  “Okay, babe.”

I head upstairs to Perry’s room. I raise my hand to knock on the door when a raised voice stops me. “I’m not sending you any more money. Figure it out yourself,” I hear Perry growl.

Shit, maybe I should leave him to it. He’s not going to be happy knowing I’ve heard that.

The decision is out of my hands when Perry’s door suddenly opens. We both just look at each other for half a minute.

“I wanted to check you were okay,” I blurt. He sighs and hangs his head.

  “How much did you hear?”

“Not a lot. Just that you weren’t going to give someone money,” I tell him honestly. “I’m really sorry. I didn’t mean to.”

“It’s fine. It’s all under control.” He takes my hand, trying to distract me. “Come on. Let’s go dance sexy and rile up your man. Claimy sex is always the best.”

We head back downstairs, and within ten minutes of gyrating with me and Luke, who joined us, Ryder has me thrown over his shoulder, and we’re getting in a waiting Uber. All thoughts of everything else are gone.

  Chapter twenty-four

  Ryder

“I bought you a present,” I call out as I enter Lexi’s bedroom. He makes his way out of the bathroom in nothing but a towel. My mind goes blank, and all I can think about is that treasure trail. And it sure as fuck leads to something I treasure very much.

  Lexi’s dick.

My dick was already half-hard at the thought of enjoying Lexi’s present with him. Now?

Ships ahoy, because we are at full-mast.

  “What is my present?”

I roll my eyes. “I’m not going to just tell you, my love.” I hold the box out to him. “Take your present into the bathroom and get changed. And while you’re doing that, just know I’m getting myself ready for you.”

I watch as his eyes dilate. “Do you mean…?”

“I mean I’m going to fuck you while you’re wearing that outfit, and then you’re going to fuck me.”

Lexi rushes over to me, crushing his lips to mine. I grab his neck and pull him back. “Go,” I growl.

He grabs the box and rushes into the bathroom with a slam.

I strip my clothes off and get the lube from Lexi’s bottom drawer. I haven’t bottomed before, but I know Lexi will take care of me. As if he’d do anything but.

I slide my hand between my cheeks and slowly caress my hole, just like I do to Lexi. It feels good whenever his hand drifts over my ass, but maybe that’s because it’s him.

This feels fine, but it’s not amazing. Maybe if I put my finger in? I mean, Lexi seems to fucking love it. Actually, there is no seems to. I know he can’t get enough of being stuffed. I realize different people have different tastes though.

I slowly breach the ring of muscle with my lubed finger. Fuck, I’m tight. He is going to explode the moment he is in me. My mouth waters at the thought of Lexi filling me with cum. It’s going to feel so good.

I add another finger so I can really stretch myself open and shove them even deeper into my ass. That’s when I feel my prostate.
