Laughing because Jaxsyn still had whoever the guy was held hostage, I walked over to him, stood on my tip-toes and whispered in his ear, “You can let him go.”

“Ok good. I thought I was about to have to send that nigga to hell really quick,” he expressed as he glared into the car then walked off.

We walked back over to his house and stood on the porch as we watched the Honda speed off down the road.

“I can’t believe your brother dropped us off over here,” I confessed.

“That’s because he thought the party was right here,” Keisha replied as she held herself tight and began to walk down the road.

“Wait, what?” I stood there looking around. I then lightly jogged behind her so I could catch up.

“Don’t panic girl. It’s just right around the corner,” she stated as if it was nothing that we were walking not only in the dark but in the cold.

“You are crazy,” I replied as I tried to stop my body from shivering. The cold Houston air was no joke and if I knew where we were going, I would have ran there.

“Oh my God, it’s cold,” I howled out. Turning my face to the side, the wind continued to blow my hair everywhere.

“We almost there girl. You hear the music?” She looked back and smiled.

I could hear a faint sound and the longer we walked, the louder it got. Thankful to see all the cars lined up and niggas outside in big ass jackets, I sped up my walking speed because I was trying to get into the house where the heater was hopefully on.

“Wait Kaizlyn. How I look?” Keisha asked as she stood in the cold, posing and fixing her hair.

“Good, now come on girl.” I rushed past her and together we walked up to the front door of the house then entered.

The heavy smoke filled the air and the music blasted so loudly that all you could see was people’s lips moving, but you couldn’t hear a word they were saying.

“I need to find me a nigga to dance up on and make Whoodie jealous.” Keisha began to sway her hips to the sound of the New Orleans bounce that was playing through the speakers, on the prowl for a man.

Following behind her, we came to a complete halt. At first I didn’t know why but then I realized what she was staring at. Standing in the corner of the room was Whoodie, but the bitch that he was hugged up with was what threw me for a loop.

“The fuck,” me and Keisha said in unison, because I had figured that I wouldn’t see nobody from my past life, especially not the bitch that my ex Melo had left me for.

“I just know he not,” Keisha’s voice peaked, and she was getting ready to walk over there.

“She’s not worth it. Trust me.” I grabbed her by her wrist gently.

Keisha was pissed right now but I could also tell that she was hurt. I guess she thought that a nigga like Whoodie had some good in him, but I knew he didn’t.

“Don’t get mad. Show that nigga that he not the only one in here that can pull.” I winked at her and she smiled back.

Walking away from her, I stood off to the side, because I didn’t need no random nigga grabbing me, as I watched Keisha walk up to a tall, dark-skin guy, grab his red cup out his hand and seductively sip out of it. She then turned around and began to whine her hips and bounce her ass all on that man’s dick.

“Go bitchhhh…” I cheered her on.

All eyes were on Keisha as she threw her ass all on that man. I mean, they were on their third song and I honestly think Keisha forgot she was doing that in order to make Whoodie jealous.

“What da fuck?” a deep tone roared from behind me.

Seconds later, I was being pushed out the way and Whoodie was now making his way through the crowd.

“The fuck you think you doin’?” He snatched Keisha up and I quickly made my way over to where they were.

Keisha jerked away from him and looked at him like he was stupid. “Move Whoodie.”

“Come on Keisha.” Whoodie pulled on her again, but the guy she was dancing with intervened.

“Say man, just let her do her.” The guy walked up on Whoodie, and what the fuck he do that for?

Out of nowhere, a group of guys ran up behind Whoodie and crossed their arms across their chests as if they were ready for whatever.

“Say what na’?” Whoodie’s lip curled up as he mugged the nigga that had spoken.

“Just let her do her man. It’s not that deep.”

Pulling his gun out the front of his pants, he connected it right to the guy who Keisha was dancing with temple. Surprisingly, nobody at the party took off running. Instead, everybody stood frozen in place, watching such a horror scene.

“Now answer me this? Are you ready to lose your life over a bitch?” Whoodie cocked his head to the side and stared the guy dead in the eyes.

The guy who Keisha was dancing with face lost all color and his mouth fell open, but no words came out. Sweat had formed on his forehead and he was now trembling.

“See Keisha, this a weak ass nigga. The fuck are you going to do with him?” Whoodie kept the gun pointed on the guy while looking at Keisha.

“Get the fuck out my party before I blow your brains out!” Whoodie shouted, and ole dude scattered so fast out of the room it was as if he poofed into thin air.

Whoodie leaned towards Keisha, whispered something in her ear and then walked off. When he looked back and saw that Keisha didn’t move, he walked back towards her and said something else, and she broke.

Hell nah, I thought as they started walking in my direction.

“Keisha, no, what are you doing?” I grabbed her arm and she pleaded with me with her eyes.

“He just wants to talk. I’ll be right back,” she replied lowly.

“Are you stupid?” I asked shocked. Keisha really was dumber than dumb.

When she first walked in here, Whoodie was with a whole different bitch, now she was about to go and listen to his lies?

“Nah Keisha, let’s call your brother and go,” I demanded, but she ignored me.

“I be right back Kaizlyn, just stay right here,” she begged.

Huffing, I rolled my eyes at her as she continued to follow Whoodie’s lead as he went up the stairs, and then they disappeared.

I looked around and of course, I didn’t know anyone there. Sighing, I found a little corner away from most of the people. I stood there by myself waiting on Keisha.

Time went by. Minutes, and yet she still hadn’t come down the stairs.

Should I go up there? I pondered as I eased up off the wall and walked slowly through the crowd.

“Damn, baby girl you know you fine as fuck,” a voice said that brought on the same irritation that it had the first time I heard it.

Rolling my eyes, I kept on walking until I was grabbed up.

“Say, so you don’t hear me complimenting you and shit?” Sims brought the bottle of beer up to his mouth, took a swig then seductively looked at me.

“Move Sims.” I nudged away from him but that didn’t matter to him.

Instead, he pushed me into an open door that was actually a bathroom. He placed the beer on the counter then turned and locked the door.

“What the fuck are you doing? Let me out of here,” I demanded.

“Nah, you don’t have Keisha here to save your ass. I told you my crew always gets what we want.” He licked his lips then made his way over to me.

I was so close to the wall, with thoughts of what I was going to do to get out of there going through my mind.

“Sims. No. Let me out of here. I do not like you like that,” I stated.

Flicking the light off, he rushed over to me and began to kiss on my neck and rub on my kitty between my legs.

“Move Sims.” I fought, but he was so strong as he grabbed my hands with one of his hands and continued to feel on me.

“Damn, how do you get in this thang?” he questioned, and I was so thankful that I had on a one-piece jump suit.

“Fuck it,” he replied as he grabbed the front of my cat suit and began to pull on it, trying to rip it.

Pushing him back, I fondled around for the beer bottle until I found it.

Taking it, I reached back with all my force and hit him upside the head.

“Ahh,” he howled out and he stumbled back and fell to ground.

Jumping over him, I unlocked the door and ran through the crowded house party and out of the door. The wind that blew through my hair as I ran far away from that house as fast as I could, didn’t faze me this time. Not even the temperature. I was just happy that I was able to get out of there without any physical damages.

I didn’t know why, but it was an urge in me to go and check on my sister. A part of me kept thinking that for her to be going to a house party, there were no fucking cars at that bitch.

The fuck. I squinted my eyes. There was no way I could miss that banging ass body in that white outfit she wore, so I knew that it was her but that only left me to wonder why the fuck was she walking in the cold and where the fuck was my sister?

Cutting through the traffic, I swiped up beside her and she jumped. Kaizlyn’s facial expression relaxed once she saw that it was me. Jumping out of the car, I ran over to where she stood and I could tell that she had been crying.

“Yo… why the hell are you crying and walking, and where the fuck is my sister?” I knew I might have come off a little aggressive but the thought of something happening to my sister scared the fuck out of me.

I was just getting ready to surprise her ass tomorrow, showing her the new house I snagged up for me and her. I figured that it was time for me and her to move out of my grandma’s house. I was getting too old for that shit and wasn’t shit playa about me bringing bitches up in there.

“Shee… She…she….” Kaizlyn choked up as tears ran down her face. Wiping one away, her cheeks were cold to my warm hands. Her body was shaking and I didn’t know why, but I just felt the need to bring her in for a hug in order to keep her warm. I also needed her to calm down and tell me where Keisha was.

“Slow down ma.” I hugged her tight and that didn’t help anything. Matter fact, it only made her cry harder. “Come on Kaizlyn. I need you to stop crying so you can tell me what’s going on. That’s the only way I can handle the shit.” I pulled her away from me and wiped her face again with the sleeve of my hoodie.

“She is still at the party with Whoodie. I left because…” She couldn’t continue because she was now sobbing. Her body shook and she dropped down but I caught her before she could hit the cold ground.

“Come on. Let’s get in the car.” I helped her in the car and she sat down, burying her head in her hands.

Running to the driver’s side, I quickly got in and sped all the way to where I last dropped my sister off.

“So, what happened? Tell me.” I peeked over at Kaizlyn who had her head leaned up against the window.

“Basically, this guy tried to make a move on me even though I told him no and to leave me alone.”

“The fuck you mean?” My jaw tensed and I began to pick up speed trying to get to where my sister was because I was about to raise hell up in that bitch.

“What I said. It’s a guy I go to school with. He tried that shit there too.” She sighed and the whole car fell silent.

Not saying another word, I continued to drive. We finally pulled up to where I dropped them off at and there wasn’t no one there.

“The fuck.” I looked around to see if maybe I was on the wrong street.

“Oh yeah. This isn’t really where the party was. It’s around the corner.” Kaizlyn popped her head up and looked out the window.

When I tell y’all I was heated. Once I found out that my sister was ok, she was going to get the business as well.

I followed the directions that Kaizlyn gave me and was now pulled up to a two-story house that indeed had the party vibes.

Shaking my head, I was even madder because my little fucking sister had played my ass.

“You stay in here.” I reached over and placed my hand carelessly on Kaizlyn’s thigh.

Her eyes lit up because I knew she felt what I felt. I swear on everything, it was like a tingling feeling zoomed throughout my body that had a nigga feeling weak and shit.

  “Ok,” she agreed.

Before getting out the car, I reached underneath my seat, got my tool and got out the car. I didn’t need to call for back up or none of that. I was about to walk up in this party as if it was mine and clear some shit out.

  Pow!

First bullet I shot was at the damn radio, silencing all music.

  “Keisha!!” I shouted.

  “Keisha!”

Coming from around the corner was Whoodie. The nigga that I had told my sister to stay away from because I couldn’t trust him and after killing some of his crew, I knew that nigga was probably going to try to come for my head. And I meant that lightly.

“Where the fuck is my sister?” I pointed the gun at him and he chuckled.

Cocking my head to the side, this nigga must didn’t know I was stupid dumb when it came to my family.

  Pow!

Aiming right past his head, I shot a hole in the wall then winked at him. “Next time I won’t miss potna.” I grimaced as Whoodie’s face twisted up in a knot and his jaws clenched, but he knew his boundaries. He could play hard with everyone around him but he knew what it was with me.

He knew that if he did shoot me right now, the whole hood would be coming for his head. And unlike his weak ass, my crew would take out every nigga until they figured out who downed me. Period. It wouldn’t be no half stepping on my end.

“Keisha, bring your ass here.” I roared one more time, causing people to move even more out of the way and out the door.

Creeping from around the corner was my sister. She already knew what was up. She knew how I felt with her dating this peon ass nigga and here she was at a party. A party that she fucking played me in order for her ass to come.

“What Jaxsyn.” She stormed towards me, but the nigga Whoodie had the nerve to grab her arm to stop her.

Shaking my head, letting him know that was a move he didn’t want to make, he let her arm go but not before whispering something in my sister’s ear.

“Keisha, let’s fucking go bro,” I demanded but she was hesitant. It was like she was torn between what she should do and what she shouldn’t. With my eyebrow raised, I ran my hand down my face with my free hand then looked at my sister.

“So, you not gon’ move? I gotta carry yo’ ass the fuck out of here and embarrass you in front of everybody?” I asked her.

“Jaxsyn just leave. Whoodie is going to drop me off at home,” she replied, which only added fuel to the fire that was burning inside of me. I was truly about to set this bitch the fuck off.

Nodding my head, I walked out of the house and got in the car. I sat there for a couple of minutes while Kaizlyn looked at me in confusion. I was just trying to get my mind right before I ended up catching a body in front of all these people.

Whoodie might have been a lil’ nigga but that nigga was trying to do grown man shit. I knew for a fact he wasn’t ready for this heat.

“What happened?” Kaizlyn asked nervously as I laid my head down on the steering wheel.

“She don’t want to come,” I mumbled. “I could force her but then she would hate my ass and I don’t want that.”

“Fuck,” I hollered out, causing Kaizlyn to jump. I wasn’t trying to scare her but I was so confused on what to do and I was angry at my sister for her poor ass decisions.

“Just try one more time and if she doesn’t come, then just let her learn on her own. That’s all you can do,” Kaizlyn spoke calmly to my soul, putting out the burning fire that was inside of me.

She reached over and rubbed my back in a circular motion. I looked up from the steering wheel and stared into her pretty eyes. “But what if something happens to her?”

“Well then you do what you go to do.” She shrugged.

Getting out the car, I heard the passenger side door close also and Kaizlyn rushed to my side. Not really saying a word to her, I tucked my gun in the back of my pants and made my way back inside of this bitch ass party for one final time.

When I walked inside, there my dumb ass sister was, hugged up on this nigga as he sipped out of a red cup. Every bit of me wanted to go and snatch her ass up and drag her up out of here, but I was trying to let her be her. Fucked up decisions and all.

“Keisha, you sure this the move you want to make?” I asked one final time as I mugged the fuck out of the nigga that was standing behind her.

Keisha looked at me then she answered, “Yes.”

Whoodie had a smirk on his face before he put the cup back up to his lips.

“You serious?” Kaizlyn stepped in front of me and chimed in.

“Kaizlyn. Come on. I know what I’m doing,” my sister told her.

“If you wasn’t being such a bitch earlier you could still be here with me,” some young cat disrespected Kaizlyn, and I was just over all this shit as a whole.

Without another word, I looked over my shoulder and knocked him clean out. He flew across the room and landed on his back. I had put his ass to sleep and even though I wanted to release more of my anger on to them, I didn’t.

“Oh my God Jaxsyn,” my sister screamed as her bitch ass boyfriend ran over to check on his potna.

“You dead to me Keisha,” I let her know before I walked out the house party daring a motherfucka to flinch at me.

I was pissed, but I knew that my words hurt my sister more than anything. I just hoped that when she came to her senses that nothing bad happened to her.

The cold air didn’t do nothing to cool my spirit. A nigga was on ten. As I rounded the car with Kaizlyn getting in on the passenger, I cranked the car up and sped off.

There were no words spoken between the two of us. Silence filled the car as we drowned deep into our own thoughts. I didn’t know exactly what she was thinking about but a nigga like me needed to get this off of my chest.

“You think that she will be ok?” I looked over at Kaizlyn who turned towards me.

“Yes. She’s just hard-headed,” she replied softly then went back to looking out the window.
