part #1 of Hades Knights MC Series
“We will need to have DNA collected for genetic testing to establish parentage. Then, based on the results, we can proceed accordingly,” I say, looking at Creed.
I see his confusion and anger. Is he the Father?
“I’m not the” Creed says through clenched teeth. He clutches the chair’s armrests tightly, glaring at me.
“Daisy Munson is stating that you are. The child is six months old; therefore, that would make it approximately fifteen months ago that the child was conceived. The test will establish if you are or not. If you are, you will need to provide child support, health insurance, and you will have visitation rights, and if you like, we could ask for joint custody,” I say, looking up from the papers. I inhale, exhale to control my anger, my concern, and sadness.
“I’m. Not. The. Father. I don’t know a Daisy Munson, and yes, I want a DNA test,” Creed says, through gritted teeth.
I set the papers on my desk. I clasp my hands, looking at Creed.
“I understand that you might not remember Ms. Munson, but until we establish that you’re not the Father, we need to proceed cautiously. I’m going to reiterate, we can ask for the genetic testing, known as DNA, but if you are the child’s Father, and you willfully fail to pay the child support, you could be subject to Federal prosecution,” I say, calmly.
“Right, this is fucking incredible! How long will it take to get the DNA results?” Creed says, clenching his hands pushing off the chair. He runs his hands through his hair, the muscles flexing with each stroke. He paces back and forth, anxiously across the office.
“Mr. Ward, it would be beneficial if you submit to testing as soon as possible, if possible, the test can be done at no charge if you go to the Department Of Child Support Services. It’s a fairly easy test. A sterile cotton swab would be scrubbed inside of your mouth. The Department Of Child Support Services will contact Ms. Munson to make an appointment for the child’s DNA sample. I suggest that you go today because the sooner we have the results, the sooner we can resolve this matter. On average, the test results take three to five days. That will give us plenty of time to respond,” I say, squaring my shoulders, sitting straighter.
Creed stops pacing, looking at me, confused, and doubtful. He sighs and nods, walking over to the chair. He falls onto the chair, leaning forward to look at me.
“Right. I appreciate your help; I’ll go get the test done today,” Creed says, looking at Carter. He then looks at me, narrowing his eyes.
“I need to resolve this issue as soon as possible,” Creed says, pushing off the chair ready to storm out of my office.
I jump from my chair, and I stride to him, placing my hand on his arm.
Oh my, I feel the same warm electric shock race through my body.
Shit, I need to ignore that feeling, nothing good can come of it.
He left me.
I swallow nervously to remove the lump in my throat. I inhale and exhale to control my body. My heart is racing, and I can’t calm down the insane response. I hope that Creed doesn’t notice that he still affects my senses.
I gaze into his anxious, tormented eyes. He looks so lost and upset, and it's breaking my heart.
Is he telling me the truth?
Should I believe him?
I sigh, nodding I give him the benefit of the doubt.
“Creed, get me the test results, I’ll fill out the appropriate court forms. We have thirty days to respond. That’s the only way you can fight this, but if it turns out that the child is yours, you will need to step up to the plate and take care of your child,” I say, looking up at him.
Creed glares at me, pissed off, moves his hand right hand to run through his short dark hair. His green eyes glitter angrily; as he gazes into mine, roving back and forth as if he’s searching for faith, validation, or something within my gaze. He inhales deeply, closing his beautiful eyes, and exhales. Then he squints his eyes, clenching his jaw tight, I can see the nerve twitch on his check. Nodding, he takes a step closer to me.
“Thanks, Ms. Wright,” Carter says, following Creed out of my office.
I stare at Creed’s back, clenching my hands, digging my nails into my palms. I blink my tears away, biting my lower lip.

Creed
I walk out of the building with my head throbbing, thinking all sorts of stuff. I walk to the parking lot with Carter following me. I don’t stop until I get to my bike.
“Hey Creed, what was all that about with the attorney? Do you know the attorney,” Carter asks, rubbing his chin as he looks at me?
I shrug, not looking at him as I mount my bike. Then I grab my helmet and put it on my head.
“Yeah, years ago before I was a Knight,” I say, shrugging.
“Wow, she’s hot! So, what happened?” Carter asks, getting on his bike.
“It’s a long story, so let’s go, I need to get this test over and done with,” I say looking at Carter.
“Yeah, ok,” Carter says, staring at me, sighs, and puts on his helmet.
We turn on our bikes, and we exit the parking lot. I get to the Department Of Child Support Services, there is a line, and it takes an hour to get the test done.
We return to the Hades Asylum, and I walk straight to the bar.
“Hey Son, get me a bottle of tequila,” I say, sliding onto the stool.
Carter follows, sitting next to me, shaking his head.
“Son, get me a glass,” Carter says, looking up at the TV MMA fights.
“Hey, thanks for going with me. I genuinely really appreciate it,” I say, taking the bottle from Son. I quickly pour the tequila into the shot glass. I take a shot, and then I chase it with another one.
Carter takes the bottle from me and pours some tequila into his shot glass. He then looks at me, nodding.
“You know it, brother, it’s no biggie,” Carter says, rubbing his thumb over the shot glass logo. We have the Hades Knights logo on all of the bar glasses.
I drink the rest of the day away with Carter, Seth, and Hunter.
The next day I wake early and alone, nothing like a paternity case to be a cockblocker. Damn it. I sure as hell can’t be with a woman and especially not since I saw Heather.
All of the want need erupted instantly, and the intense love knocked me off my axis. It’s surreal to see her again. What the fuck am I supposed to do with her sudden reappearance in my life? I scrub my face, opening my eyes. I look at the time, and I run my hand through my hair.
I need to get up; it’s almost time for church. I get out of bed and walk into my bathroom. I turn on the shower, turning the knob to hot and wait until it’s steaming. I take a quick shower and then dress. I grab my cut off the hanger, sliding the leather onto my back.
Yeah, I feel like a robot, just going through the motions. I feel helpless, and I have lots of anger pent up inside over this whole situation.
You would think that if a woman got pregnant with my kid, she would have told me, but no. She went and had this child without me. If it’s my kid, I would have liked to be around when the kid was born. I just feel used, like I’m only suitable for support, or some dick to bounce on for her kicks. Damn it! Heather didn’t look like she believes me, but she’s going to help me. Well, I guess she has too because she works at the law firm that Hades Knights pay good money for the retainer every year.
I walk down the hall and push open the thick steel door. I walk towards the chapel for Church. I nod at Nicolas, as always, he’s standing at the door. I hand him my cell, nodding.
“Hey, Creed, good day?” Nicolas says, dancing his happy dance.
“Hmm,” I grunt, walking into the room. I take my seat and lean back into my chair, crossing my arms. I look at the Knights as they enter for Church. I look around the table, yeah, everyone is here. I look at Nicolas and nod.
Nicolas grins, closes the door, and walks over the table at the wall to place the basket full of cells on the table. He walks to the center of the room to start the meeting.
“Hades Knights in the house,” Nicolas shouts, smiling. He then walks over to the table and takes his seat.
“Knights, Church has started; we have several matters to discuss,” Seth says, slamming the gravel on the table. He looks at the tablet and then casts his gaze around the table.
“Knights, we had a heart to heart talk with the honorable Mayor Baker in his home. He wasn’t expecting us, but he gave us a warm welcome, nonetheless. The Mayor requests a week to gather the funds. I’m planning on doing a run at the end of next week. Let’s vote on this. Will we give the Mayor another week?” Seth says, looking at the Knights.
“Yeah, yes, all good, sure” the Knights seated around the table all respond.
“I went to the appointment with our attorney, I had the DNA test, and now I’m waiting for the results,’ I say, scrubbing my face. I hear all sorts of comments, but I ignore them. I’m not in the mood to deal with my brothers.
“Good to hear,” Seth says, looking at me.
“I’ll inform you guys when I have more information,” I say, crossing my arms.
“Chad, Axle, Hunter, and Ryker found some Scoobies encroaching on our southern territory. Chad, did you brothers get some intel on Torres?” Seth asks, looking at the brothers.
“Yeah, we have two members of the Scoobies. We have them safe and sound at the warehouse,” Chad says, smirking.
“Right, they’re just punks,” Axle says, stroking his beard thoughtfully.
“Yeah? Do you have names?” I ask, looking at Chad, Axle, Hunter, and Ryker for the intel.
“Yeah, their license states that the Scoobies’ names are Cain Winters and Larry Martin,” says Axle, scrubbing his face.
“Is that right? I never heard of them,” I say, nodding. I look at Seth, raising my right eyebrow.
“Uh, I never heard of them. I’ll go with you guys to get some answers from them. Nicolas, Creed, and Dante, I want you there as a backup in case this shit goes south,” Seth says, cracking his knuckles.
“Right,” Dante says, cracking his knuckles.
“You know it, Prez,” Nicolas says, nodding, leans back into his chair.
“Yeah, you know I’ll be there,” I say, nodding.
“Hades After Dark cage fights is this Friday, and we have two Super Middleweight fighting the main event. I want to have everything ready, so let me know if we need anything,” Seth says, nodding.
“The cage fights are popular; we have some of our other chapters brothers coming, so that means the Hades Asylum, will be full,” I say, leaning back into my chair.
“Oh yeah? Let’s get some food to make a BBQ on Saturday since the brothers will be here,” Colton says, grinning.
“Ok, that sounds good. Heath and Ryker help Colton get some food and supplies for Saturday,” Seth says, looking at the brothers.
“No problem, ok, yes,” Hunter, Ryker, and Colton reply.
“I need Hunter, and Carter to do the run with me for the guns and making the collections,” Seth says, looking at me.
“Yeah, all good,” Hunter says, looking at Seth.
“Ready,” Carter says, clenching his fists.
“Good, Wyatt, Brice, and Heath take care of Styx this week. Handle the girls,” Seth says, looking at the brothers.
“Ok,” Brice says, rocking back and forth, looking around the table.
“Will do,” Wyatt says, tapping his fingers on the table.
“On it,” Heath says, resting his forearms on the table, nodding.
“Good, any other issues to discuss?” Seth asks, looking at each brother.
“No, nay, nope,” the brothers say.
“Next meeting tomorrow at ten. Meeting adjourned,” Seth says, hitting the gravel on the table.
The brothers and I start our ritual, our dogma that we do after church. We pound our hands on the table, yelling!
“Hades Knights brotherhood! Honor, duty, respect, and fidelity! One for all and all for one!”
Then we walk out of the chapel. I grab my cell, slide my fingers over my messages.
Oh, fuck! Heather had messaged me. Does she have the test results? I doubt it, but I need to call her and see what’s going on with my case. I swipe my finger over the screen and press her number. It rings once, and she answers.
“Creed,” Heather says, sounding breathless.
Huh, what’s up, right? Ok, I need to rein in these crazy feelings that are exploding.
“Hey, Heather. Sorry, I missed your call,” I say, closing my eyes. Her image darts across my mind, setting off my body. I lean against the wall, looking at the TV screen behind the bar.
“Creed, is there any way we can meet at one today?” Heather asks, sounding hesitant.
“Yeah, where?” I ask, looking at the news as it trails across the screen.
“My office,” Heather says, softly.
“Ok, I’ll be there,” I say, scrubbing my hands down my face.
“I’ll see you shortly,” Heather says abruptly, ending the call.

Creed
I slide my cell inside my cut’s pocket, walking over to the bar, and I slide onto the stool.
“Son, get me a beer,” I say, clenching my fist. Yeah, I could use a beer to relax because I need to have a level head to deal with this.
Son hands me a beer, I nod, grasping the cold bottle. I take a long pull. Then I hold it in my hands; my mind instantly goes back to when Heather was mine. Those were the happiest moments of my life. I thought that we were going to get married, maybe raise a couple of kids. I never came around to ask Heather, but I felt that she felt the same.
I take another pull of my beer, and I start to peel the label off the bottle.
My cell rings, and I take the cell phone out of my pocket. I look at the screen and press the button.
“Hi Mom,” I say, closing my eyes. I scrub my face, sighing.
“Creed, I told Seth that we’re having a special dinner tonight for your Father’s birthday. The girls will be here. I’m not sure if Seth told you,” Mom says, chatting away happily.
“Yes, Seth did mention it. I’ll be there,” I say, looking up at the TV.
“Good, I want to make plans for Georgina’s birthday party. I want you and Seth to help since you’re so great at throwing parties at the club,” Mom says, chuckling.
“Right, we’ll help out. No worries,” I say, nodding.
“Wonderful, I’ll see you when you get here,” Mom says, ending the call.
I look at the phone screen goes black, and then I slide it back in my pocket. I run my hands through my short hair, closing my eyes.
“Son, I’m ordering some pizza, do you want some?” I ask Son, looking up at him.
“Yeah, that would be awesome. I’m hungry, and Fox is doing the clean up at the warehouse,” Son says, smiling. He wipes the bar countertop, looking up at the huge TV.
“Ok, get me some water,” I say, pulling out my cell. I move my finger over the screen and press button for the pizza.
Son places a water bottle on the bar countertop as I place my order. I open the water bottle; I take a pull of water.
I enjoy my pizza watching the Fast and Furious that was playing on some cable channel. Then, I look at the clock on the wall, and it’s time to go for my appointment.
I’m not looking forward to talking to Heather, but I have to. I slide off the stool, adjust my cut, and I walk towards the door.
“Later,” I say, waving at Son.
“Yeah, later,” Son says, smiling. He grabs the pizza box and throws it in the trash can.
I walk out of the bar; I look around the parking lot. The lot is empty, I walk to my bike, and I slide my leg over. I put the helmet on, and tighten the straps, and turn my bike on.
I love it when it roars to life. I drive down the parking lot and pull out onto the road. I ride my bike, enjoying the fresh air on my face. It never fails; riding my motorcycle takes the stress away.
I get to the attorney’s parking lot, and I take off the helmet. Turning off the bike, and I slide off the bike, adjusting my cut. I run my hands through my hair, looking up at the big building.
I walk down the walkway, and then into the building, heading straight to the elevator. In a few minutes, I’m exiting the elevator on Heather’s floor.
Yeah, my heart is pounding, and my fucking cock is swelling. What the hell? I try to adjust my cock before I get to the receptionist's desk.
I stop at the desk; I take off my sunglasses, standing tall, I wait for the receptionist to get off the phone.
Fuck, finally, she’s free. She looks up, smiles at me, blushing.
Well, well, well, she’s cute. Should I ask her out? She has a thing for bad boys. Yeah, nice girls love to mess with us. It never fails to amaze me how these nice sweet girls want to mess with a bad boy. Ok, a business first.
“Hello, Mr. Ward, Ms. Wright is waiting for you,” Julia says, smiling.
“Right,” I say, nodding.
“Follow me,” Julia says, pushing off her chair. She walks down the hall, looks over her shoulder, then turns around.
Yeah, her ass is fantastic, of course, I look at it again. What can I say?
Julia stops at the door and knocks. She then opens the door walking inside.
“Ms. Wright, Mr. Ward is here for his appointment,” Julia says, nodding.
“Thanks, Julia,” Heather says, looking up from the laptop.
Julia looks at me, smiles, and walks out of the office, closing the door.
I take the couple steps and slide into the chair, crossing my arms. Yeah, I’m not happy to see Heather again, but I need her to handle this.
“Creed, I hope that you’re doing good today,” Heather says, leaning back into her leather chair.
Fuck! She looks incredible in her red dress. She seems really beyond my reach, in another league. Ok, that should keep my cock subdued. Right, that’s not going to happen, he’s a greedy bastard. I inhale and slowly exhale, looking at her warm eyes.
“Yeah, I’m good,” I say, looking at her through my hooded eyelids. I don’t want her to see how fucking turned on I am, and she will if she looks into my eyes.
