Sutton jumped out of bed and dug through her backpack. She’d carried the folder around for days. After that heart-racing dream she had to see what was in it. She needed to know what Fiona was offering her. If it was anything like she just dreamt about, it might be worth looking into.

Sutton sat cross-legged on her bed and laid the folder in front of her. She studied it for a few seconds longer then broke the seal. Emptying the contents on the bed, she looked through each one. There was a dark purple card much like the black one she was given the first night she explored The Woods. Then there was a small bound set of papers. Sutton picked up the papers and turned to the first page

Welcome. If you are reading this that means you’ve been choosen to walk through the Onyx Woods. This is a coveted position, and you should be honored by the chance. Enclosed is everything you need to start your journey. Please fill out all applications completely and return to Onyx Woods during administrative hours nine a.m.-five p.m. Monday through Friday.

  Sincerely

  Fiona Woods

Sutton scanned through the ten pages before her. It was a job application. Since when do hookers have to fill out a job application, she thought snidely, as she flipped through the pages. Sutton stopped at a page that she had never thought she’d see in a job application. The title read: Sexual Experience and Preferences. Then under that was a statement written in bold print:

Because of the nature of our business, a clean health exam provided by our doctors is required and will be repeated every three months. Any refusal or failure of this exam will result in immediate termination of this contract. Please rest assured that this rule applies to all paid members on every level as well. This is for everyone’s safety.

Sutton read on as the questions turned from sexual health to sexual wants and needs. She hesitantly turned the page and was meet with at least a hundred rules and regulations for working at the Woods. This is the most organized brothel I’ve ever seen, Sutton thought, as she flipped through the rest of the booklet. Opening the folder only made her confusion more intense. She placed the booklet on the bed and picked up a white envelope. She ripped it open and pulled out two sheets of paper.

  Dearest Sutton,

I’m sure you are more confused than you would ever care to admit. This all can be jarring at first glance, but I assure you it’s a very simple operation. I can tell from your experience in room seven that you’re interested in something exciting. I can also tell that many of my heavy hitters more than like you. This makes me happy. Please come by and I will clear up any confusion you may have.

  Sincerely

  Fiona

P.S-Enclosed is your starting pay. Please take note of the word starting.

Sutton’s mind buzzed at the thought. Was she watching me? How? The idea that Fiona was somehow watching her with Maddox was unsettling. The whole folder was unsettling. She was starting to lose the sudden surge of confidence she had gotten from her dream. This wasn’t passionate and hot like the dream. This was blatant and cold. Fiona’s words instantly rushed into her head. Virgins have romantic notions about sex. She didn’t have any romantic notions about sex, but she surely didn’t think it was cold and blatant. She especially didn’t think that it should be pulled out for examination, like the sex survey on Fiona’s application.

Sutton turned to the next page and felt her mouth drop. Before her was a chart divided into two sections. On one side was a list of colors on the other side dollar amounts. The colors started at green—the lowest amount, and went up to gold—the highest. Next to the color purple was a hand-drawn star and the words “One thousand weekly, plus incentives.”

The number almost made Sutton’s heart stop. Was Fiona really offering her a thousand dollars a week, and what were the incentives? Sutton hated to admit it, but the thought was tempting. That was more money than she’d ever been offered for work. Granted it was illegal work, but more than sweeping hair and waiting tables. Sutton placed the letter on the bed and tried to wrap her head around the offer.

What was the offer, Sutton racked her brain for an answer. So far all she knew was that she would be making a thousand a week plus whatever the incentives were. Was it just to have sex or was there more to the job? Sutton tried to control her racing thoughts. She wanted to put all the papers in the envelope and toss them into the trash, but something stopped her. Something would not let her just put The Woods into the furthest reaches of her mind.

Sutton knew what was stopping her. The dream was stopping her. The idea of hot passionate sex was stopping her. The money was stopping her. Commonsense was losing to her curiosity once again. Sutton opened the booklet to the first page and stared at the questions. In an impetuous move she grabbed a pen and began to fill out the application. Curiosity two Sutton negative one, she thought, as she carefully read each question.

  Chapter Five

Sutton was at the end of a very long day. After spending three hours filling out the applications she hesitantly returned them to The Woods. She was then given the once over by a bubbly blonde on the first floor. The blonde went over the application and then left the office. After being gone for a few minutes she returned with a business card and told Sutton to go to that location.

The location turned out to be a doctor’s office. The handsome Spanish man introduced himself as Dr. Hayden Ramirez and explained he did the exams for every member of The Woods, and that he was one himself. He then proceeded to give her a very thorough exam followed by blood work he assured would be done by the end of the business day. Somehow knowing that everyone, even the very rich had to go through this screening made her feel a little better.

Sutton was then instructed to go back to the club where she was told to sign several contracts that were described as confidentiality agreements. At that point she began to wonder if this was still a good idea. By about three that afternoon she was done with the papers and was given a business card to a bank and instructed to only speak to the person on the card.

Sutton then trekked to the bank and sat down with Helix Monroe, a gorgeous blonde man who proceeded to open an account for her. Sutton didn’t really see that point in this errand. She had a bank account. However, Helix assured her that it was easier for Fiona to have her staff through his bank. Sutton was then convinced that Fiona was the most organized pimp in history.

When she finished the last of her task Sutton came back to The Woods hoping to finally get the answers to her most puzzling questions. When she first came that morning she thought for sure she would ask questions and be done with the whole ordeal. However, Fiona was making sure that her secrets were well kept, and if Sutton wanted the answers she had to prove just how far she was willing to go to get them. At this point she was in too deep to walk away now. Once she returned she was prompted to wait in Fiona’s suite of an office.

Sutton looked around the white plush room. It was exactly the same except the double doors were open. She slowly made her way across the room to the open doors. Once inside, she found a large formal office, a complete contrast to the lavish sitting area outside the doors. On one side of the room sat a large marble desk where Fiona sat chatting on her cell phone.

Fiona held up her finger motioning for just a minute. Sutton took in the surroundings of the rest of the office. On the other side sat a large wall of labeled monitors. Sutton found the one marked room seven. The screens were all turned off, but she was now sure this was how Fiona knew of her and Maddox.

“Great! Well, tell him I will be expecting his call. Thank you,” Fiona said, as she ended her call and moved over to Sutton. “I always have a watchful eye. Please remember that?”

Sutton turned and looked at Fiona. She was wearing tailored grey dress pants and a form fitting white button down blouse. Even in business attire the woman was stunning, Sutton thought, as she gave Fiona a smile.

“So, this is how you knew? You saw me in that room.”

“I saw you in every room darling. I see everyone in every room if I choose.”

“So, you sit in here all night watching?”

“No. My security team on the first level handles that job. I simple just like to peek in from time to time. Since I knew you were exploring I wanted to see how you were doing. Let’s have a seat. I assume you have questions.” Fiona motioned toward her desk.

Sutton followed Fiona and took a seat in front of the desk. Fiona followed suit reclining back in a large white leather chair. “So I did all of the errands.”

“I know. You did well. If you hadn’t then you wouldn’t be here. I have no patience for people who can’t follow instructions. That’s something else you should put to memory.”

“So, what is this all about Fiona? I’m so confused. I’ve filled out form after form. I even think there was a tax form in there. Unless they legalized prostitution I don’t get what I’m doing here.”

“If they did it sure would help the economy,” Fiona giggled. “That form is for the legal portion of your job. As far as the government knows you are a waitress. I pay you nine dollars and hour, and that will be what you claim on your taxes. Don’t worry I have CPA’s that will take care of that for you. And again you’re not a prostitute, hooker, ho, call girl or any other colorful term you have for this job.”

“If I’m being paid to screw people then what would you call it.”

“A lawyer,” Fiona laughed and Sutton couldn’t help but to join in. “Okay, little girl here’s how it works. I run a club where members pay to come and enjoy themselves. Some just want the privacy away from the public. You know local celebrities, athletes, singers people like that.”

  “The second level?”

“Exactly. I make lots of money just from the Hollywood tra…I mean members that belong to that floor. Then I have the other members. The third level is usual business people who are looking for a little excitement, but nothing too crazy. For example, the woman you were watching succumb to pleasure is a very successful advertising executive.”

Sutton was shocked. She was sure the woman was a hooker. “So, these are people who pay to have public encounters…fantasies?”

“Yes…well sort of. We’ll get to that part later. Then there are the other floors. As the floors get higher the membership count gets lower and might I add more expensive.”

  “Platinum?”

“That’s our highest membership and its not given to everyone. I’m very selective who I let play in this part of my woods. I don’t like trash from the second floor or bored accountants from the third. I feel once you get past the third floor then you really want an adventure.” Fiona slightly bit her bottom lip as a spry look filled her eyes.

“So, what’s on the other floors?” Sutton asked cautiously.

“The fourth floor is for exploration. Each room on that floor is for a certain fantasy. The floor was built to explore your darkest fantasies.”

  “How many floors are there?”

“Six. You’re on the Sixth floor. Only people who I summon are allowed on this floor.”

  “What’s on the fifth floor?”

“The Platinum lounge. You’re not allowed there unless invited by a platinum member or are a gold level. Don’t test me on this rule. I can let a lot slide, but that is one that will not be excused,” Fiona warned sternly.

Sutton felt her stomach knot “Am I supposed to work the floor? What do I do walk around asking if they want to have a good time?”

“Will you get the fucking idea of being a hooker out of your head. I regret even mentioning call girl. That is not what the job is. Your job is to party. You dance, have drinks, give them a great party. You’ll work on the third floor. You’ll give these rich, but lets just say it not so attractive or social, business nerds a good time. You can go your entire time here and never sleep with a single person. Therefore you are not and I repeat a hooker.”

“Good time? What do you mean good time?”

“Like I said you party like you would at any other club. You dance, have some drinks. Make him think he’s the most important person in the whole club. That you’ve chosen to spend your night with him because of his wit and charm. Even though we both know it’s not really true.”

“What good does that do if he knows that I’m being paid? If he knows that I’m paid to party with him as you describe it, what would be the point of pretending.”

“Who said that he knows? I bet you couldn’t walk through that room last night and tell who was staff and who was a member. You never will. That’s how I designed it. I want to give them the experience they pay very high monthly fees for. However if you fill the room with nothing but shy business nerds where’s the fun?”

“So I would be a sexual mole?”

“Sounds better than hooker don’t it? I place young hot people to spark interest in our clients. To be the fantasy they would expect in a club like this. If you so choose to sleep with or have an encounter with a client it’s your own choice. If you don’t want to sleep with anyone at all, that’s your choice too. As far as the clients know you’re nothing more than just another member. They believe you’re there for the same things they are. It’s about as innocent as if you met at a Starbucks and decided to go back to his place and fuck.”

“So then how do I get paid? If he doesn’t know I’m a hooker…I mean party goer then how does he pay me?”

“He doesn’t, I do. As far as the clients are concerned you’re just a college girl with a freaky side. You are never to ask for money or you will be fired on the spot. Don’t try to do it on the sly either I see everything.”

Sutton couldn’t help but smile. The woman was a diabolical genius. She was running a brothel where the staff was being paid and the clients didn’t even know they was sleeping with call girls. If it weren’t illegal I would bring up her business model in class, Sutton thought, as she took in the whole operation.

“Okay, Fiona, what about pay? What do you pay to party?”

“I believe in paying what you deserve. I know you saw my color chart. Greens, yellow, and blues work the second floor. They don’t do sex at all and will be fired if caught offering. They really have no access to the other floors and as far as they are concerned don’t know that you too are staff. Then there are the orange and purples. You work on the third and fourth floor.”

“What about gold. I saw they were the highest.”

“The platinum lounge. I will be honest I doubt you will ever make it to that level. Purple is a step above blue. You barely made it off of the second floor. Unless you have some freaky tricks up your sleeve that’s where you will stay.”

“What are the incentives? You said I get a thousand dollars plus incentives.”

“Open accounts at selected boutiques and salons. I like all of my workers to look their best at all times. You are giving the fantasy to some poor boring rich guy, I think you should at least look the part.” Fiona looked at Sutton’s blue tank top and faded jeans in disgust. “You will need to take full advantage of that incentive. Then there is healthcare. You will have the best doctors and dentist in town. Then if you ever need legal representation.”

“Legal? Have people gotten arrested.” Sutton asked nervously. Of course they have what you’re doing is illegal, she scolded herself.

“No. The members don’t know you’re paid to have sex. As far as anyone’s concerned you’re a waitress in a club. That’s the reason for the bank account. You also have a personal banker who will make sure that you have access to your money when you need it, but it stays…quiet. The same with the taxes. See Sutton I run a very lucrative, but not so legal business. A business where I have to trust those that are working for me, and know they are working for my best interest. Some know the in’s and out like yourself, and others are only privy to select things like your doctor banker, etc. They only need to know that they are members of a sex club and sometimes you’ll see them here. Hell you may even sleep with them, but they will never know you as more than just Sutton the waitress who likes to party on her free time at The Woods. We’re all family and family keeps each other’s secrets do you understand.”

Sutton took in Fiona’s words. Now that she knew the whole story the job didn’t seem so bad. She could walk around and dance. She could stick to the third floor where there were no crazy expectations placed on her. For a thousand dollars a week she could be a great actress.

“So I never have to sleep with anyone? I can just come and have a good time and make a thousand dollars?”

“No. You can come and party and make nine dollars and hour. If you don’t fuck anyone that’s all you get. You really should have read the contract carefully. I believe it said a thousand and up per week plus incentives. For every encounter you make a thousand dollars. I do mean every encounter.”
