*GONE AT ZERO HUNDRED 00:00 is a gritty, YA action-thriller series featuring the McSwain & Beck duo. The second book in the series, FIREWORKS ON THE 4TH, was just published."High-octane, action packed and quick-witted romp through the perilous underworld. Written in a vein similar to early James Patterson (his good stuff) the chapters are short and make you want to gobble them down."~~ Goodreads Reviewer"WARNING...when starting this book make sure you don't have anywhere you need to be or anything you need to do because you WON'T want to stop reading!! Trust me on this! The book starts off with an explosive, unforgettable beginning and just keeps going. The characters of Syd and Cody were a perfect pair...funny, smart, snarky...they totally need their own TV series!"~~ Goodreads Reviewer"An action-packed thrill ride! Her characters are awesome and quickly pull you into the heart of the story, as you turn page after page of thrilling twists and turns. I loved following the characters on this roller coaster ride."~~ Reviews by Molly"Sydney McSwain kicks butt!"~~ Author, Dana GriffinIf you LOVED the sleuthing of Veronica Mars and the action of Alex Rider, with the writing style of James Patterson, you'll enjoy this series!!! BONUS INSIDE: The first two chapters of the second book in the series: Fireworks on the 4th.From the AuthorLet me give you a fair warning; the exploits of McSwain & Beck are not fanciful fairy tales, or made for TV love stories. Though the series is fiction, the crimes depicted are straight from the headlines, developed from stories from big city and small town detectives. The situations are real. Ruthless corruption is real, and the perpetrators and victims are getting younger. It is becoming a gritty society of good versus evil. The question is: who will prevail?About the AuthorCR HIATT is a writer of screenplays and an author of YA action-mystery novels. The daughter of a military veteran, CR grew up in a small town where she became an All-American athlete. CR knew early on that she wasn't cut out for the nine to five type of job - her tendency to day dream about adventures often got in the way. But, being the daughter of a Navy Veteran she also knew one had to do what was necessary to be secure, so she disciplined herself to push those dreams aside and settled on working in the entertainment legal field. When those dreams invaded her world once again, CR finally gave in and set out to write her own adventures. What the heck, right. If you can't live 'em, you might as well write about them. The journey started after CR interviewed big city detectives about their lives on the job; then talked with some of their victims. That resulted in her first YA series: McSwain & Beck. The novels are works of fiction, only based on real life events, but you can't help but wonder while reading the books which parts are true. When CR isn't writing, she enjoys renovating houses, spending time outdoors, catching up on her favorite books and TV shows (dedicated fan of NCIS, Justified, Southland, Blue Bloods, Person of Interest, and Big Bang Theory) and most importantly, spending time at the campfires with her family and friends.
