[Lady Justice 04] - Lady Justice And The Avenging Angels
Robert Thornhill
Lady Justice has unwittingly entered a religious war. Who better to fight for her than Walt Williams?Walt and his sweetie, Maggie, have just returned from a honeymoon that was packed with love, fun, mystery, and danger. Now it's time for them to adjust to living under the same roof—quite the challenge for a couple in their sixties, both of whom have never been married before! Suddenly Maggie's feeding Walt fiber—lots of fiber—taking up almost all the closet space, and even getting rid of Walt's favorite old recliner. But nothing could be better than having Maggie by his side when a great threat arises and Walt is, as usual, smack dab in the middle. When Walt and his partner, Ox, are patrolling the Gay Pride Parade, a bomb goes off near them. They come out okay, but many are dead or seriously injured. Shortly after, the police squad learns the bombs are homemade by a group of religious fanatics calling themselves God's Avenging Angels. The Avenging Angels believe it's their job to rain fire and brimstone on Kansas City, their Sodom and Gomorrah. The next attacks could be anywhere in the metro, so all cops are needed to comb the city and find the perpetrators. Walt and Ox are on the case, which continues to be explosive. In this compelling addition to the Lady Justice series, Robert Thornhill brings back all the characters readers have come to love for more hilarity and higher stakes. [Lady Justice 08] - Lady Justice and the Watchers
Robert Thornhill
Suzanne Collins wrote The Hunger Games , Aldous Huxley wrote Brave New World and George Orwell wrote 1984. All three novels were about dystopian societies of the future. In Lady Justice and the Watchers , Walt Williams sees the world we live in today through the eyes of a group who call themselves 'The Watchers'. Oscar Levant said that there's a fine line between genius and insanity. After listening to Lady Justice and the Watchers , you may realize as Walt did that there's also a very fine line separating the life of freedom that we enjoy today and the totalitarian society envisioned in these classic novels. Quietly and without fanfare, powerful interests have instituted policies that have eroded our privacy, health and individual freedoms. Is the dystopian society still a thing of the distant future or is it with us now disguised as a wolf in sheep's clothing?

Like its predecessors, Lady Justice and the Assassin has a plot ripped from today's headlines. The several sub-plots are blended perfectly within the main theme, which is a conspiracy to assassinate the President of the United States AND the Vice President, while they both are making public presentations half a continent apart from one another. The pretext for the assassinations could not be more plausible. In fact, I would be VERY surprised if Robert Thornhill has not made himself a focus of federal investigation for detailing so much legitimate-sounding preparation for an assassination attempt. If not for the insertion of several comical sub-plots, one might very well be excused for wondering if this was an actual conspiracy gone awry.
Lady Justice and the Assassin is flawlessly executed. As with its precursors, one cannot help but believe this story could be an actual account of the daily extremes faced by police officers everywhere. Thornhill writes as if his primary reference is his daily police log. It is hard to conceive of anyone actually making up this stuff! It is just too authentic feeling to be pure fiction. Yet, in spite of the severity of the main plot, the story is extraordinarily entertaining and humorous... too much so to NOT be fiction. Thornhill deservedly has been recognized multiple times for his Lady Justice series. Lady Justice and the Assassin seems likely to garner yet another award for this brilliantly talented author. If you are new to this series, and enjoy humor mixed with mystery, I urge you to not wait another minute; buy this book and prepare to become an avid fan of Robert Thornhill.

Lady Justice and the Vet by Robert Thornhill is a poignant, faithfully accurate story, which could have been taken from today's headlines. Mr. Thornhill, with each new episode of the Lady Justice series, continues to surpass himself. Within the pages of Lady Justice and the Vet, Robert Thornhill has presented a better, more realistic dissertation on the plight of ALL combat veterans, to whom we as a nation owe our all, than any I have seen anywhere else. Thornhill has brilliantly used a fictional comedic mystery story to force us to remove the blinders and take a peek at reality. Lady Justice and the Vet should be required reading for every politician.
Lady Justice and the Vet takes aim at the atrocious mistreatment of our veterans who require far more and far better access to both physical and psychological restoration. It focuses on the high unemployment rate, the nightmares, the disabilities, and the lack of respect. Mr. Thornhill has an uncanny talent for bringing our attention to a serious problem while also entertaining and amusing us. Robert Thornhill's house will one day be a National Monument. Okay, maybe that's a little over the top, but he is a very good storyteller, and a very good writer. I anticipate with great relish each new release in his Lady Justice series. His writing is superlative, and his ability to inform and amuse, almost in the same sentence, makes him a consummate storyteller. However, don't take my word for it; buy one of his Lady Justice stories - it doesn't really matter which one - and see for yourself.

"Lady Justice and the Organ Traders" by Robert Thornhill is not about musical instruments. An organized and sophisticated illegal kidney transplant operation has been active in Kansas City for an unknown period of time.
It came to the attention of our old friend, Walt Williams, when one of his tenants was found dead inside a burned out car. Due to a fortuitously quick response time, the Fire Department was able to extinguish the fire before the body was completely burned up. The Coroner determined that the victim was missing a recently-removed kidney.
Shortly thereafter a body disappeared from the morgue, leading the FBI to get involved in the investigation. Walt and his partner, Ox, are thrust into the forefront of a plan to break up the ring of organ traders, in another exciting, action-packed adventure of the "Lady Justice" series.
"Lady Justice and the Organ Traders" is the latest in a long line of superbly written comedic mysteries. Mr. Thornhill circumspectly addresses the subject of buying and selling body parts, presenting both sides of a practice considered immoral by many. As with so many other topics, the distinction between right and wrong is blurred.
Ride along with Walt Williams as he witnesses firsthand the good, the bad, and the ugly of organ trading. This story will bring a tear to your eye. "Lady Justice and the Organ Traders" is a worthy addition to the "Lady Justice" series. I urge all to read this book, but any book in the series will get you hooked on the escapades of Walt Williams and the City Retiree Action Patrol. What are you waiting for?

Review
Lady Justice and the Conspiracy Trial is a must-read for anyone who has ever wondered whether the government is perhaps not always forthcoming with "the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth" in its response to requests for information. Has our government conspired to foist a deadly top-secret program on our planet, or is this just an imaginative and witty tale? It will give you an adrenaline rush, regardless of what you ultimately believe. Lee Ashford for Reader's Favorite

Review
"Lady Justice and the Ghost Whisperer", like each of the stories in this series, masterfully blends at least three fascinating subplots, only tangentially related, but fully captivating and thought-provoking. And, as always, at least some of the action is straight out of today's news headlines. Mr. Thornhill is uniquely capable of combining humor, an unlikely cast of realistically believable characters, and fresh drama, into a story you won't want to put down until you reach the final page. When you do reach that final page, you will enjoy a sense of satisfaction in how the conflicts were resolved, and most certainly will know you got your money's worth with your purchase of the book.
