The sun is about to come up, and I didn’t care about having no sleep because I planned on devouring her.

Setting her down in my bedroom, I close my door and lock it. My finger hooks into the waist band, and with a grin, I bring her toward me.

“If you want me to stop, you need to tell me now.”

I feel her breath hitch as she looks into my eyes. “I’m not going anywhere.”

I sit on the edge of the bed while she comes over to straddle me. “I want you so bad,” I whisper.

  “I want you too.”

My cock is so hard right now. I flip her over so she’s on her back. “Take your bra off.”

While she takes her bra off, I remove my pants, and then work on hers.

  “Fuck. You are beautiful.”

It wasn’t like I’d never seen her naked. I had on stage. And I never wanted another man to see her naked. No man other than me.

Gripping her legs, I began kissing her thighs, working my way to her stomach, then to her breasts. Her breathing picks up, and I squeeze her tits in my hands, I circle my tongue over her nipples.

Reaching one down, I swirl two fingers around her pussy, and she soaks my fingers. I pull my fingers up and suck on them, then I put them in her mouth, and she sucks while I move down to put my tongue on her clit. My tongue laps at her juices, and inserting a finger inside, I continue sucking and licking until I can tell she is about to come undone.

I snake up her body, kissing my mouth, letting her taste herself on my tongue, and my cock slides into her pussy.

“Fuck,” I call out as I thrust inside her.

Her hands fist into the sheets. “Oh my god.” Her head rolls back, and her back arches.

  “Come for me. Now.”

She comes undone, and her body shakes under me. I take her mouth again and continue thrusting.

“Oh fuck.” After a few thrusts, my vision becomes blurry, and I come, letting my cock fill inside of her.

“Shit! I came inside you without protection.”

“I’m on the pill,” she tells me.

Rolling to the side, we are quiet while we catch our breath.

  Chapter Fifteen

  GENEVA

I’m not sure what the time is when I squint my eyes, and realizing where I am…in Dominick’s bed.

Looking to my right, I see the space is empty, and my heart begins to beat fast. But it’s short lived when he appears with a tray of food. “Good morning, errr afternoon.”

I smile and feel my lip split, and they feel puffy from all the kissing we did. Fuck. “Good afternoon.”

  “Figured you might be hungry.”

  “Thank you.”

There’s a plate of fruit and a buttered bagel. “Mmmm.”

Dominick smiles as he settles in next to me. He picks up a strawberry and feeds it to me. I return the favor. This man is doing things to me, I never expected. Who knew doing a favor for a mafia guy would lead me here?

“No regrets about last night?” he asks.

  “No. You?”

“Hell no,” he cocks a grin. “What are you doing today?”

“I don’t think I can work with this still fresh,” I point to my eye.

“I don’t want other men seeing you naked anyway.”

“Well, they won’t for a couple of days at least.”

“No. I mean, I don’t want them to ever see you naked again.”

“I can’t make any promises. But I will think about it.”

“Good because I want you for myself, Gen. I don’t share.”

He kisses me and pulls me on top of him. We continue, and I let his tongue tangle with mine, and then I pull away.

“Have you heard any more about the investigation at the jail?” he asks.

“Not yet. We should get up, or we will never leave this bed,” I tell him as I remove myself from him.

  “What’s so bad about that?”

I giggle and pop the last strawberry in my mouth.

“What do you have to do today?” I ask him.

“I was planning on spending it here in bed with you. But if you insist we get up, then we’ll get up.” He gets up from the bed and he gets dressed in a pair of dark wash jeans, a long sleeve, black Henley shirt, and the shirt defines his muscular arms.

I pull my hair up into a claw-clip and put the clothes on I had on last night, and I look at Dom. “I want to get a tattoo.”

Dom smirks. “I wasn’t expecting you to say that.”

“I’ve thought about for years, but always chickened out. I think I’m ready now.”

“Well, I happen to know a guy.”

“See if he’s available. You’ll come with me?”

“Of course. I have a phone meeting later this evening. But other than that, I don’t have anywhere to be or people to see.”

Thirty minutes later, we are sitting in a tattoo shop, and I begin to feel nervous. “What are we doing?” the female artist asks me.

“I want to get a sunflower on the inside of my arm and a bee above it.”

“Alright, give me a minute to draw it up. Go ahead and have a seat.” She points to a chair at her station and walks away.

  “Nervous?” Dom asks me.

“A little. But I’ve been wanting this for a long time. I love Sunflowers and bees. So she does yours?”

  “Yeah. Leah is super talented.”

Leah comes over and cleans the spot for the tattoo, then she places the stencil on me. “Take a look and see if that is where you want it and how you want it.” She hands me a mirror to look.

“Yes. I love it.” I already knew if Dom trusted her, then I did too.

At first the needle feels weird as it moves on my skin, but after a little bit I get used to it. And once Leah was done, I could tell it was better than I even expected.

“Go check it out,” she motions to the large floor length mirror against the wall. Walking over, I turn to see the inside of my forearm, and I smiled wide. “This is perfect.”

The detail is exquisite. “I love it.”

We head to the counter so I can pay, but Dom hands her his credit card.

“You didn’t have to pay for it.”

  “I insist.”

“Now what?” I ask when we get back into the SUV.

“We can get some takeout for dinner. I know a place.”

  “Sure.”

When we arrive, Dom says, “We’ll only be a few minutes.” And he looks to me. “Come on.”

He holds the door for me to enter first, and the bell above dings.

“Dominick!” A familiar woman comes over cupping his face in her hands, and she kisses his cheek.

“Hi mommy! You met Geneva before.”

“Yes. It’s good to see you again, dear.” This time, she brings into a hug. Then she looks at Dom. “What can I get ya, honey?”

“I just want to get some of your famous lasagna and chicken parm with a side of spaghetti.”

“You got it. Give me time to get it together for you.”

When she walks away, I hit Dom on the arm.

  “What was that for?”

“You didn’t say I was going to see your mom. I sure as hell didn’t want her to see this,” I point to my eye and lip.

“You still look beautiful. Don’t worry about it.”

I roll my eyes in annoyance.

“Here you go, my love,” she passes a bag of take-out boxes to him. And he drops a one-hundred-dollar bill in the tip jar.

  “Thanks, Ma.”

She kisses both his cheeks and hugs him. Then she turns to hug me too.

  “Bye mom.”

  “Bye, hon.”

Once we get back in the car, my phone pings.

  “Hey mom.”

“Hi sweetie. Your dad and my anniversary is next week, and we wanted to know if you and your boyfriend wanted to come over for dinner? If you’re not busy.”

I had mom on speakerphone, and Dom told me to mute it.

  “Hold on, mom.”

“Have them over at my place. She shouldn’t have to cook on their anniversary.”

“Are you sure? I don’t want to put you out.”

  “I’m sure.”

“I have a better option for you, mom.”

  “What’s that?”

“Dom said you shouldn’t have to cook on your anniversary and that he wanted to host you both at his house.”

“That is awfully generous of him. Let me ask your father, and I’ll text you.”

  “Perfect. Bye. Love you.”

  “Love you.”

We arrive back at Dom’s place, and we immediately start eating dinner.

  “Good?”

“Real Good. I see now why you’ve never had ramen noodles.”

  We both laugh.

“I do appreciate you offering to host my parents.”

“She called me your boyfriend. Am I?”

I smirk. “Do you want to be?”

“I’d love to be able to call you mine.”

“Then I’m yours. But you have to figure out what you can about your step dad. Especially if we plan on this becoming something serious.”

“Yes. I have a private investigator on it. I hired him the second you told me. He’s very discreet and does great work.”

  “Good.”

My phone buzzes, and I look at the text. It’s from a waitress at the club.

  “Everything okay?” Dom asks concerned.

  “Yeah. Just work.”

  Chapter Sixteen

  DOMINICK

Geneva leans up on her toes and presses her hands on my chest. “I have to go to work.”

“Right now?” I ask. It’s only because I don’t want us to be apart for any amount of time, however I know that’s not realistic.

“Yes. A waitress called off, so they need someone to fill in.”

“Fine. But let me drop you off and pick you up after. And we can come back here.”

  “Okay, sounds good to me.”

“We also need to do something about that apartment of yours. I know you love it, and it is great with the view, but the area is not good. I want you safe.”

“We can discuss that later, Dom.”

I bend down to kiss her forehead. “Let’s get you to work. At least you aren’t stripping.” I flash her a wide grin, and we load into the back of the SUV.

“Well, I’ll have you know, if you and me are together, and you don’t want anyone else to see me naked, then I won’t do it. But this is a perfect opportunity for me to get some waitressing experience at the club.”

  “You’re not stripping anymore?”

  “I’m not.”

  “Thank you.”

“You’re welcome.” She leans her head on my shoulder, and I hold her hand while my driver heads to the club.

I have no clue what this woman is doing me. But no one has ever made me feel the way I do for her. Even in past relationships, it’s always been about status quo, and how much money I make. But with Gen, I know she doesn’t give a shit about that stuff, especially with her father being in the mob, as well. Maybe that’s why we get along and click so well. Knowing all this makes me want to give her the world.

“We’re here,” I tell her squeezing her hand. “And I’ll be right here when you are off your shift.”

  “Well, it’s only four hours.”

  “Perfect.”

She leans in to kiss me, and I cup her face, giving her a deep kiss to let her know what I have in store for her later.

I watch as she exits the SUV. “I hate to see you go, but love to watch you leave.”

  “Ha ha. Funny.”

She disappears into the establishment. Her roommate’s number is passed along to me from one of my associates, and I dial the number.

  “Hey. This is Dominick.”

  “Geneva’s Dominick? Is she okay?”

“Oh yeah, she is fine. Can I drop by the apartment to talk to you?”

  “I guess,” she answers nervously.

“Okay, I’ll see you in a minute.”

  “Okay.”

When my driver pulls along the street, I exit and take the elevator to her apartment. And after I knock, her roommate answers.

  “Livia right?”

  “Yes.”

“I don’t know if we formally met, I’m Dom.” I hold my hand out for her to shake, and she does. But there is skepticism written all over her face.

“I’m Livia. Come sit down,” she offers as she sits across from me.

“Geneva is at work, and earlier, I was talking to her about maybe leaving this area, it’s gotten so bad with crime, and she’s been a victim of it herself.”

“She has been a victim of it. But it’s all been because of you. She never had any problems beforehand.”

Damn she was right. “And I’m here to see if I can make it right.”

  “How?” she asks.

“Well, uh. There’s two options. And I think Geneva would be fine with earlier. I have a guest house that’s fully furnished with everything, a private bedroom, kitchen, living area, and there is even an office.”

  “What are you saying, Dom?”

“I wanted to offer it to you. And you wouldn’t even have to pay that much in rent. Not nearly as much as this place. There’s a pool, a hot tub, and a private gym area you are free to use.”

  “What’s the catch?”

I chuckle. “No catch, Livia. I care about Geneva’s well-being as well as yours. And I want you both to be safe. My place is heavily guarded as well.”

  “Or?”

“Or I can put a down payment on a two-bedroom place in a better area, maybe even closer to my place.”

  “What about Geneva?”

“I’m going to ask her to move in. If she says no, then I’ll get the place for the both of you.”

“Okay, I can see where you are coming from. Before I can agree to anything, what are your intentions with my best friend?”

“Geneva means more to me than you know. And I know I have put her in danger, but like I said, I don’t want to do that anymore. Seeing her hurt in any way, guts me. I love Geneva, there is no denying that. One day, I want to ask her to marry me. And I can’t do that without having your blessing, and I will ask her father as well. Even though I know she’s stubborn and has her own career, I still want to take care of her in any way possible that she allows. I’ll never stop her from working either, she’s independent and her own person. The thought of losing her kills me. I feel like I can’t breathe unless she’s near.”

I lift my eyebrows and hold my breath, because Livia doesn’t mess around when it comes to her Gen.

Livia stands, holds out her hand. “You have a deal. But if you mess it up…”

“I know. I know. But I won’t mess it up.”

“I believe you. You seem genuine, and I appreciate that.”

“So guest house or a different place?”

“You should talk to Geneva first. Then we can discuss details.”

“I respect that. Thank you for your time, Livia.”

  “Sure. Anytime.”

I walk out the door, and though the worry is still there, I can’t predict what Geneva will say.

There was only one thing left to do as my driver drove us back to the club. When I enter, I don’t want to make it known I’m watching her. Everyone she interacts with has a smile on their faces, and it’s because she lights up any room she enters.

Aldus spots me, and I offer a curt nod, then motion for the office.

But on the way to the office, I spot a guy grabbing Geneva’s ass, and all I see it red. I’m on the guy in a flash pulling his up by his shirt, and it rips. “Out! Now!”

“Who the fuck are you?” the man has the gall to ask.

“I’m her boyfriend, and I’m the owner. Get the fuck out! Now!”

“That was not necessary, and why are you here?” Geneva asks with a tray in one hand. “Do you not trust me?”

“I trust you. It’s the customers like that prick I don’t trust. And I have business with Aldus. Now get back to work.” Grinning, I grab her ass firmly, and she yelps. “I’m the only one that is allowed to grab this.”

She rolls her eyes. “You’re annoying, you know that? You’re going to scare all the customers away.”

“Mmmm, we’ll discuss that later. I have business to attend to.”

Yeah, she probably won’t be happy that I talked to Livia without talking to her first.

  Chapter Seventeen

  GENEVA

“Ready to head home?” he asks as I load into the SUV from my four-hour shift.

“Yeah. I need to shower immediately.”

  “Okay.”

When we arrive at his place, he is acting weird. Like he is thinking about something.

  “Dominick, what is it?”

  “That obvious?”

  “Yes. Now tell me.”

I set my handbag down, and sit on the couch while he gets us both a drink. “You know how I was saying we should talk about your living situation?”

“Yeah.” I take the glass from him and take a drink right away.

“Well, I went to talk to Livia.”

“You what?” My eyes bug out.

“But it’s only because I want you both to live somewhere safe. I offered for her to live in the guesthouse, or I could put a down payment on a place in a safer neighborhood, not far from here actually.”

  “Why would you do that?”

“Because I wanted to ask you to move in. And I thought if you knew she was close by, you’d be willing to do so. And I really do want you both to be safe. You don’t have to move in here, I’ll still put a payment down if you want to live with her...”

  I interrupt him. “Dominick.”

  “What?”

“Shut up.” I stand and kiss him. It’s a long-drawn-out kiss, deep and passionate. He relaxes against me. I pull away and tell him, “Shower with me.”

  “I thought you’d never ask.”

  ***

A week has passed since Dominick called me his. And since that day, we’ve been inseparable. After being holed up together, we knew it was time to get back into a routine. My lip was healing, and my eye was looking better, but wasn’t completely healed. I surely don’t need any more injuries.
