Her brows drew together. “This sounds like something from the romance books my brother reads. Okay. No names, but what do you want me to call you? Dark and handsome? Sexy as sin? You give off this dangerous vibe. My brothers always tell me to live a little. What we do in Vegas stays here, right? I think I’ll go with Thor.”

  “Thor?”

Her cheeks turned a bright shade of pink. “I don’t drink much and I feel buzzed already. It’s not like we will see each other again. I’m going to fantasize about you hammering me.” The sexy woman kept surprising me. Hell, I wanted nothing more than to sink deep inside of her.

“I’m going to have to go with Honey Bear for you.”

“That sounds so lame. Can’t I have a badass name too?”

She shivered as I ran the tip of my finger along her jaw. “No. I bet you taste like honey. I would lick your sweet pussy for breakfast each morning.”

Her tongue ran across her sexy lips. The bartender cleared his throat. I didn’t bother turning. The woman was too captivating. “Make us another one.”

I lost count of the amount of liquor we drank. At some point my Honey Bear had moved from her seat to my lap. My fingers rested on her upper thigh. If I moved slightly up her leg, I could dip my finger in her folds and find out if she was as sweet as she smelled.

Her watch buzzed. “I have to go.”

I wrapped my arms around her, not wanting to let this woman out of my sight. Hell, I was the head of a crime family. Maybe it was time I truly kidnapped someone, because she sparked my inner demon. “Or we can spend more time together.”

She tilted her head, so her lips were only inches from mine. “Do you want to come with me? I know it’s strange to ask someone to go to a wedding. But I’m having fun.”

This would give me an excuse not to go to Mia’s wedding. “Where to, my Honey Bear?”

“My head is so foggy. My assistant sent me the info, hold on.” She skimmed through her text message. All I could watch was her damn lips. Tonight, I planned to have them wrapped around my cock. “Found it! The Little Neon Chapel.”

Thank fuck she didn’t say The Little Vegas Chapel. She swayed as I helped her to her feet. I pulled out five hundred-dollar bills and tossed them on the counter.

“Ma’am, you sure you don’t want me to call you a cab?”

Fucker. Except I couldn’t blame him. The woman had walked into the lion’s den.

“I’m fine, sir. In my field of work, I don’t have to worry about being kidnapped. Years ago, I had a small tracker embedded. Just so you know,” she looked at me, “if you try to remove it, my brother gets an alert. I’m sure they will track my ass if I don’t get to the venue. Ready, Thor?”

“More than you can imagine,” I mumbled under my breath.

My eyes were glued to her ass as we walked through the casino lobby. When we slipped into the back seat of the taxi, I couldn’t hold back as I pulled her into my arms.

She pressed her lips against mine. Fuck, she was even better than I imagined. Her tongue pressed against my lips as my hand roamed up her leg. She didn’t break the kiss when my hand cupped her ass under her dress. Jesus, the woman didn’t even have underwear on. I pulled back, and her little whimper made me smile. “Are you wet for me?”

Her eyes looked forward, but the cabby hadn’t paid us a lick of attention. I would tip him well when we got out. “Tell me, are you wet?”

  “Yes.”

My finger slipped between her legs and slid through her folds. The woman’s head fell backward, and she moaned. This time the cabby caught my eye, but quickly looked forward. I pulled my fingers from her folds and put them in my mouth. “Tastes just like honey.”

  “We’re here.”

I wanted to tell the guy to drive around the block again, but the sexy woman tossed cash into the front seat and pulled open the door.

A woman in a long white gown and a man stepped out of the small chapel. “So lucky. I’ll never find anyone to marry me.” I barely heard her.

“Or we could get married,” I joked.

She turned and smiled up at me. “I’ve never been one to take a risk. I also never thought someone would ever marry me. Would you really do it?”

“Sure. But your friends are getting married, so afterward.” Once she sobered up, she wouldn’t want to go through with it. At the moment, I didn’t want to see the woman sad.

I linked my fingers with hers. Not something I had ever done with a woman before. I almost wondered if she cast a spell on me when she slid up to the bar. We walked through the door, and only an Elvis stood behind the counter.

“Aren’t you two a happy couple? Let’s get the paperwork out for your wedding.”

“I’m here for my friend's wedding.”

He shook his head. “Sorry, darling, that was my last wedding for the day.”

My Honey Bear’s eyes filled with tears. “I’m missed the wedding.”

I wanted to do anything to make her smile. “Or we could get married.”

“I like the sound of that. All I need is your IDs and five hundred dollars. Unless you want the complete package with a ring,” Elvis helpfully offered. I looked at the giant ring, pointed to it, and handed my card over. Tomorrow we could figure out how to undo our wedding vows, but for tonight I wanted to make her happy.

  Cara Renolds

“Stop pounding,” I pulled the blankets over my head.

“Jesus Christ, who the fuck is at the door?” An incredibly sexy voice came from the other side of the bed.

I peeked out the top of the blanket, and a man with striking green eyes and light blond hair smiled at me. I got lost in his gaze. I’d forgotten about the pounding until the door flew open. “Cara!”

Great, my brothers. I sat up to kick them out of my room, and the blanket fell down my body.

“My eyes!” Paxton yelped as he turned.

The sexy man pulled me next to him and wrapped the blanket around my body. Next, Quinton walked in, followed by Kaeden. Even my damn sister-in-law walked in.

“Dude, you slept with my sister,” Paxton growled.

Mia stepped closer to the bed, grinning. “I’m not even mad you two skipped my wedding to have sex. And from the looks of the room, you had a lot of it.”

I covered my face with my hand, but a large rock poked my cheek. God, no. A snippet of me asking him to marry me popped into my head. Oh lord, I wanted to crawl under the bed.

“Holy shit, you married my sister.”

“Sister?” the sexy man asked. Jesus, I didn’t even know his name or how my family knew him.

Kaeden crossed his arms over his chest and gave me the look I usually gave my siblings. I never fucked up. This was a huge mistake. I didn’t have time for a wedding. My goal was to become the attorney general. The Ellison family gave us a leg up in life, and I wanted to prove I deserved their help. All through school, I never partied. Hell, I never drank, until…

“Have to admit it’s cool we’ll have the same anniversary. It’s nice Lucas will have you as a stepmom too.”

Stepmom. I still hadn’t figured out who I married. We made out while Elvis filled out the paperwork. Not once did I look at his name. I wasn’t even sure they were mentioned during the wedding. Paxton had told me Mia had a son with—

  “Everyone out.”

“Dude, you are about to get the full Cara experience. I love my sister and will kill you if you hurt her, but I also know she can handle herself, and for once, it’s nice to know she makes mistakes.”

“The girls are having a late lunch while the men play poker. We can celebrate our weddings and you can spill the details on how this happened,” Mia said with a wave as my brother pulled her out of the room.

I was alone with my husband. The name of Lucas’s dad clicked: Donovan Calhoun. Shit. This was bad. Of all the people in the world, I married a crime boss. His name floated around the office. He had a case file on my desk that was supposed to go to court in two months, and I was supposed to go against him. The file was dropped on my desk as I walked out the door for Vegas.

He lounged back on the pillow, his bare chest exposed. “Good morning, wife. You want me to order you breakfast?”

“How are you not freaking out?”

He reached over and tugged a piece of my hair. “I’m very pleased with my sexy Honey Bear. You didn’t seem disappointed as you screamed my name.”

“We need to get this annulled,” I said, reaching for my phone, but strong arms pulled me back against his chest.

His hand snaked around my body and cupped my breasts. “But we consummated our wedding. We will have to have a regular divorce.”

He wasn’t thinking straight. “Are you still drunk? This can’t happen.”

“And why not?” he asked, slipping his finger down my body.

My head and body were on two different planets. “Because I work for the state attorney’s office. I can’t be married to a crime lord.”

He hummed against my ear. “Or it could be a better reason to stay married to me. You shouldn’t believe everything you hear or what’s in my file. I’m surprised you made a judgment before you have all the facts.”

When that file hit my desk, the only thing I thought about was getting the high-profile case that could make my career. “You’re going to trial in two months.”

His finger pinched my nipple hard. “Hey!” I reached for his hand, but he captured mine with his free hand.

Donovan placed a kiss next to my ear. “Sorry to disappoint you, my Honey Bear, but that case won’t ever see a courtroom. And neither will our divorce. Since you already think I’m a crime lord, I better fulfill your expectation. I’m keeping you and not letting you go.”

My mom gave everything up for our father. Then when he passed, she could barely take care of us. I watched my adoptive mother follow Ruben around and do what he wanted. Neither appealed to me. I promised myself I would find a partner. “I won’t be your kept woman. Furthermore, you can’t kidnap people.”

“Don’t worry, I’ll return you to your life in time. But Cara, not all things are as they seem. You will find that out soon.”

I wasn’t even sure I would make it out of the marriage alive.

  Zack Tucker

“Sir…you might want to look at TMZ,” Texan said. It wasn’t very often the Secret Service agent who protected me during my time in the office was hesitant.

My head hurt from the night before. I was in Vegas for my friend's wedding. Everyone went to a nice dinner afterward, and I retired to my room and drank a bottle of vodka.

My two friends weren’t the only ones to get married. My public relations manager during my time at the White House got married this weekend.

I swiped across my phone and opened the gossip page. There my face was at the top of the screen. Zack Tucker leaves a wake of women in his path while in Vegas.

  “Could be worse.”

Texan raised a brow. “You know, every time your face hits one of these pages, people go crazy as soon as we step out the door.”

That’s one reason I kept somewhat of a disguise in my bag.

“Maybe if I did settle down, they would leave me alone.”

“I think this is a bad idea,” Texan sighed as I jumped out of my seat and headed for the bedroom.

I changed into a pair of jeans and a white shirt. I grabbed the baseball cap from my bag and a pair of dark sunglasses.

“Only one agent on me, and stay back. I think I will hit the bar as a regular person.” I walked out of the hotel room and down to the lobby. It was still early, so nobody was up except for the massive amount of paparazzi at the hotel's door. I sauntered to the bar area, where a woman sat by herself. She had on cargo pants, black hiking boots, and a fisherman hat. Or maybe a park ranger hat.

“Is this seat taken?” I gestured to the open one next to her.

  “Go ahead.”

She didn’t even look in my direction. Instead, she had the article of me up on her phone.

“Can you believe him?” I asked. Laughing at the fact the article was about me.

“It’s ridiculous. He walks around with his head in the clouds and women bowing down at his feet. There are real issues in this world, and he ignores them.”

The pint-size woman sure could bruise a man’s ego. “I’m sure running the country wasn’t easy. You know, he started politics at a young age. Maybe he wants to live a little now that he’s out.”

The woman huffed. “When he was in office, I sent his team information on what their infrastructure plan did to the environment. I’ve sent him emails, called, and tried to get meetings. If he cared, he would have a meeting with me.”

“Sorry didn’t catch your name,” I asked.

She turned, and pushed her black-rimmed glass up her nose. Her brown eyes stared into my soul. She didn’t have any makeup on, making her even more breathtaking. “Hannah Waters.”

I remembered the emails and calls. Never put a face to the name—I assumed the woman who harassed my inbox to the point I had a separate folder for her emails was older. “What would you do for a meeting with him?”

“Anything! Today is my last shot. I drove for two days straight when I heard he would be here. I spent the last of my money on a room here. I’m not sure how I’ll make it home, but he must stop building the factory in Virginia.”

The factory was primarily green and would supply hundreds of jobs to the rural area. “Maybe I can make a deal with you. If you agree to a six-month engagement with me, I’ll get you a face-to-face meeting with Zack Tucker.”

She chewed on her lip. “Why? You’re a good-looking man. I’m sure you don’t want to tie yourself to someone like me.”

“I think you are exactly what I need.”

“Sure, but I’m not going to be strung along with this deal. I doubt you know him, anyway.”

  I grabbed a napkin and a pen.

  Engagement contract.

Six months, must live together and sleep in the same bed.

  -Z

  “Time for your signature.”

“You know this won’t hold up in a court of law.”

I shrugged. “You never know. You ready to go meet him? I have it on good authority I know where he is. The sooner we get your meeting over with the sooner we can get to know each other.”

She rolled her eyes. “This is the part where the Vegas serial killer leads me to my death. I bet President Butthole is in bed, hungover. Let’s go see your imaginary friend.”

I shrugged my shoulder and linked my fingers with her. There was no going back. She couldn’t escape this once I announced our engagement to the world. The hotel doors opened and the paparazzi stood all around. Nobody was used to me in jeans and a hat. I’d also hadn’t shaved in a few days. I had a signature look and a reputation that I didn’t leave the house unless I was in a Armani suit. I pulled off my hat and sunglasses, and the clicking started.

Hannah gasped next to me and tried to tug her hand free.

“Would everyone stop the clicking for a few seconds? I have an announcement, and the lights are annoying.”

I recognized many of the people because they would fly in for a hot story. And my group of friends in Vegas gave them a photograph.

  “Mr. President,” Hannah whispered.

“I thought it was President Butthole,” I mumbled so only she could hear.

Her hand squeezed mine. “We should go inside. People will get the wrong impression.”

I winked at my fake fiancée before I turned back to the crowd. “I would like to report the article that ran this morning is incorrect. Only one woman captured my heart, and last night, even though I didn’t have a ring, she’s agreed to be my wife.”

Hannah chocked as I pulled her into my arms. “Can I kiss you?” I whispered.

She leaned forward. I captured her lips. Her little whimper went straight to my cock. And for once, I might have gotten myself in over my head, because she sure as hell felt good in my arms.

  Pursuing Phoenix

“He’s out.” Kat sighed into the phone.

Those two words changed my life. Again. My phone shook in my hand. “Are you sure?” Maybe Kat’s person on the inside received the wrong name. Greg was a common name, right? That’s what happened. No way my ex-husband was released from jail. He hadn’t even gone to trial yet.

Kat let out another sigh. “Lily, we’re looking into how he got released.” She was quiet for a second. “Antonio is one hundred percent certain Greg is no longer in jail.” Antonio was Kat’s husband and the owner of a mercenary company in Ft. Lauderdale.

I heard the muffled voices of Kat and Antonio as they discussed my situation, while pacing in front of my floor-to-ceiling windows and contemplating the rain falling like sheets outside. The weather here in Houston wasn’t much different from that of Ft. Lauderdale, both cities were known for their wet, humid climates. Tommy and I just finished unpacking from our cross country move and now it looked like we’d have to do it again. “I don’t know where to go.”

“You stay right where you are. Abe is staying in Houston until we figure out where your ex is. He’s one of Antonio’s top bodyguards and instead of you putting Tommy into daycare like you planned, Abe will watch him while you’re at work. Nova Satellite Security has Neal’s technology running through the building, plus they have security guards at the entrance. I’ll talk to Jacob tonight and make sure nobody gets into his building unannounced.”

I leaned my hip against the kitchen counter and gazed out into the dark night. “What do you mean, you don’t know where he is? Doesn’t he have to go to a halfway house or report where he’s living?”
