The Rules We Break (The Alphaletes Book 4), page 28
So, I did what any sensible boyfriend would do, who was completely out of his mind for his woman, and had a couple million in his bank account to burn. I bought her a completely outfitted bakery, built to every request and spec she desired with the request that she make me the first batch of pumpkin cinnamon rolls out of the kitchen, to which she happily agreed.
Despite Sage being an extremely strong and independent woman, she isn’t like some of those who would balk at such a lavish gift. She happily accepted it with a giant thank you in the form of an incredible blow job that was well worth the six-figure investment.
“Do you need help, hun?” Vi asks from the table.
“Yeah, like I’m gonna ask the pregnant lady to help,” Sage scoffs as she walks over the risotto.
When she sets it on the table, Erica’s eyes widen as she leans forward.
“Uh, what the hell is that?” she asks, gesturing to Sage’s ring finger.
The three-carat diamond has been there for long enough to where it would be strange not to see it. Of course, eagle-eye Erica would be the one to notice the newly added band.
Sage glances down at her hand before smiling. I can’t help but grin as I yank her down into my lap and kiss her cheek.
“Uhm, so we kinda got married.” Sage blushes.
“WHAT!” a collective statement shouts from every end of the table.
The kids all cheer in excitement while the adults look at us like we are crazy before they all break out into wide smiles.
“When did this happen?”
“Why didn’t you tell me?”
“I need details, like yesterday!”
I look at my new bride, not able to contain my happiness. I never would have imagined I would find happiness like this in my life. Definitely not with someone like Sage either. She’s crass, sarcastic, snarky, and a huge pain in the ass, and I wouldn’t want it any other way. The only thing we are missing now is a couple of babies, though I haven’t quite talked Sage into it just yet. I’ll give her another year or so to get on the bandwagon.
Maybe.
Glancing around the table, so full of love and laughter, it’s funny to me how we all came to be here right at this moment. We’ve all gone through hell, in our own ways, on our own journeys, and we’ve all seemingly made it out the other side. Life is so unpredictable, but I think that the best parts of life are lived in those unpredictable moments. They’re lived in laundry rooms, small diners, simple family homes in a tight-knit neighborhood or even a packed nightclub. Some of the most important moments are the ones we never see coming.
If there is anything I’ve learned so far in my life, though, it’s that nothing is permanent. Things break. Whether it’s Loyalties, Walls, Hearts or Rules. It’s all about having the right person by your side to help put the pieces back together.
Thank you!
And there we have it. The Alphaletes Series is completed. It’s a bittersweet feeling to say goodbye to these characters. They have been with me through so much. I have cried over these characters, bled over them, and grew with them. I wasn’t always certain Trevor was going to get his own story, but now that he has, it feels like the perfect ending to these characters, to this series.
If you haven’t gotten a chance to read about the other characters in the series, check them out below! Below is also listed my standalones.

The Walls We Break – Single mom sports romance. (Declan & Vi)

To my Alpha, Courtney, to put it simply, I adore you. The amount of extensive voice messages you receive from me in the time I draw an outline of a book to finishing one is honestly insane. Thank you for being there for me inside and outside of the writing process. I’m so blessed to call you one of my closest friends and your feedback and support is completely invaluable. Love you forever and ever.
To my Betas, Kenzie, Elena, Sara, and Lynds, thank you all so much. From your incredible insight, your overdramatic but extremely entertaining voice messages (*cough* Elena), and your special eyes catching the little things my tired author brain missed. I’m so grateful to have had you all a part of my team! I appreciate each of you and am so thankful for you taking the time to help mold Trevor and Sage.
To Skarlet, of course you need a special shout out, you’re this series’ godmother after all. You have been with me literally from the bottom of the barrel. And it was bad at times, remember that horrible ending I originally had for Loyalties or the third-act breakup I had planned for Hearts. I think there are thousands of readers out there who would be indebted to you if they knew the atrocities you convinced me to abolish. More than any of that, thank you for all of your love, support, insight, and vision. I truly believe I would not be standing in the place I am today if it wasn’t for meeting you, and I’m so freaking blessed to have you in my life.
To my wonderful editor, Ellie, I’m so thankful I met you! To have you as an editor is an honor but having you as a friend is so much better. Thank you for all you do. I appreciate you more than you know!
To my Street Team and ARC Team, since most of you overlap, I might as well get on my knees all at once for you all. YOU guys are so incredible. The amount of support you all bring to me, whether it’s the announcement of a new book, a playlist or release day, you all come in droves, and I couldn’t be more grateful! Authors truly aren’t anything without having good people to back them, and I’m going to arrogantly boast that I’ve found some of the best people out there. Thank you all for being by my side whether this was your first book or ninth with me, thank you so much. I love you all infinitely.
To my readers, I adore every single one of you. Thank you for reading my books, for leaving a review, and for supporting me in the best way possible. I may be a new to you author, and if so, thank you for taking a chance on the perpetually sarcastic (but biasedly super funny) indie author. To those of you who have already binged my backlist, and this is your latest read of my books, I could never thank you enough for your support. Every page read, every book picked up is quite literally changing my life, and I hope, at moments, it changes yours too.
All of my love!
