Finding a Loyal Love, page 12
It took her thoughts a moment to get together. She loved Smoke like never before but how could she continue to put up with his infidelity? Her taking him back would be asking for heartache. The things he’d just said were true. This was something they couldn’t go back on. The relationship they shared was harmful to both of them Smoke and Lay-Lay just weren’t healthy for one another.
“I should kick your ass Jaylen.” She smiled at him.
“You done already shot me. What more can you do?” he laughed as he wiped the tears from her face.
“I should have shot your damn dick off. That would have served you and all your hos right.” Lay-Lay’s words weren’t even all the way out of her mouth when his room door opened again. In walked a pretty brown-skinned nurse. She looked surprised to see Lay-Lay lying in the bed with Smoke. It was a good thing she was in bed with him though. She never would have felt how tense his body had gotten if she wasn’t. Lay sat up and looked at him. His face told it all. He knew this bitch.
“You his nurse?” The girl was standing in the corner with a stupid look on her face. Lay-Lay might have been hurt but she wasn’t blind. Anybody could see she was there on a social call. She nodded her head yes but didn’t move. “Well I don’t believe you. I’ve seen enough of Jaylen’s hos to know when I’m meeting one for the first time. All y’all dumb bitches look the same when y’all see me. I must admit, this nigga got y’all asses trained.” Lay-Lay chuckled dramatically.
“Don’t refer to me as his ho. My name is Lana.” Lay laughed at her even more. Smoke had this bitch fooled.
“Awww ain’t that sweet. You think you’re different. Well let me be the first to tell you, you’re not.”
“You must be Lay-Lay.”
“The one and only. It’s nice to meet you little girl.” Lay-Lay rolled her eyes and got off the bed. She retrieved her phone and keys from the window and walked back to his bed. “This is why I stay fucking you up. Goodnight Jaylen. I’ll see you around baby.” Smoke grabbed her hand before she could get too far away from the bed. When he’d pulled her back to him he sat up as best as he could. They were face to face, so he leaned forward and kissed her. He kissed her so long and hard, she forgot all about his little friend being there.
“I love you Shalaya. Promise me we’ll always be friends.” She looked at his handsome face and got overwhelmed. He was the only thing in this world that she hated to love.
“I promise. Now let me go before I fuck your fine ass and give your girlfriend something to cry about.” She and Smoke both laughed as she headed for the door.
She made sure to bump into Lana as she walked out. That bitch was too weak. Lay-Lay had tried to knock her fucking shoulder off and she hadn’t done anything about it. She felt rejuvenated as she walked to her car. A feeling of relief and exhilaration spread through her body. Coming to terms with her and Smoke’s new relationship was what she needed. This was a new beginning. She was almost positive his friendship would be better than his companionship. She was amazed at how much it hadn’t fazed her to see that woman come into his room. Lana was the nail in Smoke’s coffin. He would never be her man again!

Kyle lay awake in Shalaya’s bed waiting for her to get there. He had been falling in and out of sleep for the last few hours. He hadn’t called her again since he spoke with her while she was out. He’d talked to Morgan and she and Jade had both been home for almost two hours now. He started to worry but Morgan told him she’d probably gone to the hospital.
He didn’t know which worried him the most; her doing something to herself or falling back in love with that nigga. Smoke was like a drug Lay-Lay kept relapsing on. It was sickening. She was probably at the hospital now making up with him. Kyle’s thoughts angered him. He was at her house lying in her bed waiting for her like some lovesick puppy. That was an insult to his pride. He got out of bed and slid his pants on. He was buttoning them up when he heard her at the door.
“You leaving?” She sounded exasperated.
He didn’t even turn around. “Yeah.”
“Why? I thought you were staying with me tonight.”
Kyle didn’t want to be mad at her but he was. He didn’t want to be fazed by the desperation in her soft voice. Focus. All he had to do was focus on the fact she’d just left her ex. He snatched his shirt from the floor and put it over his head. Her arms wrapped around his waist from behind before he could pull it all the way down. He tried to pry her arms off of him but she held on tighter.
“Please don’t leave me Kyle. Please.”
“You went to see him.” Kyle spoke it more as a statement than a question.
“Yes. I ended things. He and I are over.”
Kyle didn’t say anything. He just pulled her around until she was in front of him. He grabbed her face and kissed her. She kissed him back and unzipped his pants. Her hand gently rubbed down the front of his happy trail. He let out a deep sigh when he felt her small hands holding onto his manhood. She was squeezing and touching him all over. He was trying to control himself but he couldn’t. It felt too good. She moaned softly as he licked and sucked on her neck.
He was trying hard not to rip the clothing she had on but he couldn’t get her undressed fast enough. She’d obviously gotten his drift and stepped back to remove her boots. She continued to undress until she wore nothing but her black panty and bra set. Kyle sat back down on the bed after she’d removed his shirt and jeans from his body. He pulled her between his legs and bit the soft skin of her inner thighs. Her breathing had increased and her breasts were rising and falling directly in his face.
Her long red hair had fallen in her face and was teasing the tip of her eyelashes making it a struggle to keep her eyes open. Kyle wanted this woman more than any other female he’d ever met. Through all the years and all the things they’d been through they managed to always find their way back to one another. Lay-Lay pulled his head closer to her body as he unhooked her bra. Her big round nipples pointed in his direction as soon as it hit the floor.
“Shit girl,” Kyle moaned as he began to pull and suck on her soft breasts.
He was so enthralled in devouring her body he could hardly think straight. Before he knew it Lay-Lay had pulled back and dropped to her knees in front of him. Her mouth and one of her small hands were on his dick immediately. She was trying to fit as much of him into her mouth as possible but it kept slipping out. Kyle smiled as he watched her eyebrows furrow with determination. After Realizing that she couldn’t hold it with just one hand, she grabbed it with two.
When she was steady and sure of herself she began sucking on the tip again. It took her a minute but when she got with the flow of things she had his toes curling into her cream-colored carpet. Kyle knew he was a well-endowed man, so most women couldn’t please him orally. Clearly Lay-Lay wasn’t most women. She was going to work on his dick. Her mouth had him so wet he could only imagine how her pussy was about to be. The thought of it had him pulling her from the floor. She wiped her mouth before stepping out of her panties.
“You’re so big Kyle. I swear I’ve never seen anything like this before.”
Kyle didn’t know what was funnier, what she’d said or the look on her face when she said it. His body towered over her completely when he stood up. He grabbed her hand and walked over to the iHome on her dresser. They held hands as he scrolled through the songs on her iPad. He searched until he stopped on KC and JoJo’s “What About Us.” He loved this song. He turned up the volume and pulled her behind him to hit the lights. The bright screen from her iPod was the only light in the room. With her hoisted into the air, she wrapped her legs around his waist while he walked them to the bed.
He laid her flat on her back and slid his tongue into her mouth. The kiss was so intense. Her lips locked around his as her tongue explored his mouth. She moaned in his ear when he kissed down the center of her neck. Her eyes remained on him as he positioned himself at her opening. He propped himself up on one arm as he squeezed the side of her waist with the other. Kyle eased in slowly, trying not to cause her too much pain. The loud moans seeping from her mouth relayed her discomfort. He covered her mouth with his, silencing her cries. He took this opportunity to push himself all the way in. Her thighs closed tightly around him as she screamed.
“Take it for me Shalaya. I know it hurts.” Kyle tried to keep talking until the pain subsided. He could only take it slow for so long. The longer he stroked her the more relaxed her body became. When he looked into her face her mouth was opened in an O shape while her eyes were tightly closed. The more he moved, the calmer her facial expressions became.
“You love me Shalaya?”
“Um-huh.”
“You better.” Kyle kissed her lips briskly. He could hear KC and JoJo singing in the background, but the noises he loved the most were the ones they were making. She was so wet he could hear it every time he moved. Not to mention the little moans she continued to release. When he felt her legs start to shake he knew she was about to cum. Just like he figured a few seconds later she was screaming his name at the top of her lungs.
“Say my name again,” Kyle roared into her ear. He too was on the verge of an orgasm.
“Kyle! Oh my gosh. I love you so much,” she said breathlessly as he climaxed and fell on top of her. When they were done they took a shower, changed the sheets, and went back to bed.
*****
Morgan sat Indian style on the floor patting Daylen’s back. “I’m so happy I could cry.”
Lay-Lay rolled her eyes. “Girl please spare me. I don’t have time for your emotional ass.”
She and Morgan were seated on the floor of the twins’ room. Morgan had Daylen and she had Tre. They had just finished feeding them when Lay-Lay told Morgan she was finally giving her and Kyle a real chance. They’d been doing the side piece love triangle for long enough. She was ready to have the real thing.
“I’m serious Lay. I’ve been waiting on you and that nigga to get y’all lives together for the longest.”
Lay-Lay smiled as she put Tre back over her shoulder so he could burp. He was being real fussy so she knew that had to be why.
“Contrary to what you may believe you and Kyle are perfect for each other.” Morgan uncrossed her legs and stretched them out in front of her.
“I know. I’m going back to South Carolina with him when he leaves tomorrow. I’m going to stay this week. I’ll be back after church on Sunday.”
Morgan was shocked when Lay-Lay mentioned going to church. They had been friends for years and not one time had Lay-Lay said anything about the Lord. Maybe Kyle was starting to rub off on her in all the right ways. She and Lay-Lay continued talking and playing with the babies for another hour before they had both fallen asleep.
“I just love Tre and Daylen. They are the cutest little brown babies I have ever seen. You and Dallas did that girl.”
“They are aren’t they? Dallas’ ass stay in their faces. The poor things can’t sleep for that nigga being all up on them. I think I’m starting to get jealous.”
“Girl bye. I can’t deal with your spoiled self right now.” Lay-Lay left Morgan in the room as she walked down the hallway laughing. Morgan was a serious drama queen when it came down to Dallas’ attention. When she reached the living room Dallas and King were both asleep. Dallas was lying on the couch and King was on the floor. He had been there when Lay-Lay got there this morning. Jade was out with his mom doing some shopping so he’d came over to chill with the Streeters.
“She right here. Her phone was in the living room,” Morgan walked past and handed Lay-Lay her cell phone. It was Kyle. He had called her when he couldn’t reach Lay-Lay. Morgan turned her nose up at her when she noticed Lay-Lay was smiling before she could even answer the phone.
“What’s up bae?”
“Hey beautiful. I just left the gym. You want to meet me back at your house or do you and Morgan have something else to do?”
“Nope we don’t. Even if we did you know I would ditch her ass for you, no questions asked.” Lay-Lay laughed after slapping Morgan’s middle finger out of her face. Once she was done talking to Kyle she ended their call and tossed Morgan her phone back. She grabbed her purse, slapped Dallas and King upside their heads, waking them up, and walked out the door. She could hear them both yelling stuff at her as she continued down the stairs.
She laughed because she already knew once she slapped them they were going to wake up. What she didn’t know was that they were coming for her. She was almost to her car when she heard Morgan on the porch telling her to run. When she turned around they were both closing in on her. She dropped her purse on the hood of her car and ran straight past it.
“Y’all stop, for real I was just playing!” she squealed as she noticed them getting closer.
“Nah you like to play games. We got a game for your little ass.” King laughed as he threw pieces of ice at her. She was screaming and laughing like crazy. She had run all the way down Dallas’s driveway before she noticed she had nowhere else to run. The only thing she could do was stop and let them catch her or run into the small storage house Dallas had on the corner.
“I got something for your wild ass,” Dallas said as he threw the ice out of the bucket he was carrying.
“Ahhhh!” Lay-Lay yelled as the ice dripped down her shirt, wetting her hair. When she was close enough she ran into the storage and slammed the door. She had almost gotten caught while she was locking the door. Dallas and King stood on the outside beating on the door and yelling for her to come out. She was laughing so hard she couldn’t catch her breath. She looked around looking for something to get them with but she saw nothing. Her eyes scanned the room checking for anything she might have missed when they finally stopped banging on the door. She heard Dallas yelling first.
“Man, stop playing M. Take your ass back in the house.”
When she looked out of the small window she saw Morgan standing there with a big ass water gun. It was funny as hell to see her skinny butt standing there with a pair of Uggs, some tights, a jacket, and a hat on. This heffa done got completely dressed before coming to help me. Nonetheless she was glad she’d come. King and Dallas were both standing with their hands in the air begging for her not to wet them, being that it was the first week of December it was cold as hell outside. If Morgan squirted them, their asses were going to freeze to death.
“Come on out Lay-Lay. If they move I’ma shoot ‘em.”
Lay snatched the door open and shot past them laughing the whole time. When she got next to Morgan she starting dancing and singing about how they’d gotten caught.
“Lay-Lay get the two guns out of my pocket. I brought you some too.” Lay-Lay quickly grabbed the two water guns from the pockets on Morgan’s jacket and aimed them at the two men. “Yeah y’all thought y’all was about to catch my home girl slipping, huh?”
Morgan and Lay-Lay were so busy laughing they hadn’t stopped to think about what King and Dallas would do if they caught them. Just when Lay-Lay squeezed the trigger on her gun King and Dallas lunged at the both of them. Dallas picked Morgan up and flipped her over his shoulder. Lay-Lay was so busy trying to run from King she hadn’t even had the chance to shoot the water at him.
“Okay. Okay. I’m sorry. I give up!” she shouted as she laid her gun on the ground.
“That’s what your ass had better did.” He laughed as he strolled past her and back into the house. Dallas was right behind him with a screaming Morgan thrown over his shoulder. Lay-Lay slapped high-fives with Morgan as she headed back to her car.
Chapter 9
Lay-Lay did twenty over the speed limit the whole ride to her house. She couldn’t wait to see Kyle. He had left her to handle some paperwork that morning, then gone to the gym directly after that. She missed him. When she pulled up to her apartment building she saw Kyle’s truck in the visitor’s spot across the street. He was grabbing something off the back of it while some woman was leaning on the side of it.
Why must I have to keep going to jail? Lay thought as she whipped her mustang into her spot. She hadn’t even bothered to grab her purse before hopping out. She speed-walked across the street and stopped when she was next to Kyle. He smiled immediately and leaned forward so she could kiss his lips. She kissed him then turned her attention to the woman. She stared her straight in the eyes. She had never seen her before. The girl wavered under her stare before giving Lay-Lay a shaky smile.
“Baby this is Rebecca. She just moved in across the street.” Kyle pointed to the building where movers were going in and out. Kyle knew Lay-Lay could go from zero to a hundred in a split second. It was obvious he was trying to keep that from happening.
“Bae you must work for the moving company now or something?” Kyle looked at her with a confused looked before trying to hide the smile creeping across his face.
“No Shalaya, I don’t.”
“You must since Ms. Rebecca is out here talking to you versus being in her house where she belongs.”
Kyle couldn’t help it anymore and let out the laugh he was trying to suppress. He already knew Lay-Lay was trying to be funny. Poor Rebecca didn’t have a chance. She stood on the side of his truck nervously as Lay-Lay bent down to look under the truck. When she stood back up she continued looking around the bed of his truck, lifting and pushing things out of the way.
