“I said no.” Michael glared menacingly. “You walk out that door and you don’t come back. Do you understand?”
“Is that so?”
“You heard me, bitch!”
“Yeah, I heard you now and when you said it last week and the week before.”
Michael let her jerk her arm free. “Don’t push your luck.”
“If I had any luck,” Kimberly said, “you’d drop dead!”
When she opened the door to his office, Michael slammed it back. He leaned against her from behind, pressing her body against the door. He could hear her let out a gasp and it turned him on. Touching her always turned him on and he hated her for still having that power over him.
“Baby.” He nestled his head into her neck, rubbing against her. “You have as long a leash as I want you to.”
Kimberly’s elbow jutted back and hit him in the chest. “Unless you want me to throw up on you, you’ll get off me!”
He leaned away, looking down at his watch. “Be back by five. I’m going out tonight.”
Kimberly was shocked by what she saw when she opened the door. Her babies were standing there with sullen looks on their faces.
She had to come up with some way out of this. She had to get away from Michael and take her babies with her. It was the only way to save them.
