Luo Ri Deity King turned around, his eye sockets like two black holes, displaying the scenario of the falling of sun and said, “You are talking about the flame of inheritance, the universe’s lamp? I know about that flame. When you became the Heavenly Monarch, the Fire Order Era’s Heavenly Sovereign, it was the Yanzi Clan’s god that possessed the flame of inheritance that usurped the throne, almost killing you!”
Dark Monarch’s clothes waved without any wind as he smirked, “And you? I remember you struggling badly as well? Monarch Pao Xi is also a Xin Huo inheritor and you are killed three times by him! Each time after your resurrection, he would always pinpoint your location and kill you, again and again. At the fourth time, he found you again but his psyche can’t find your innate sacred ground so he had no other option but to seal you away in the Heavenly Prison.”
“Aren’t you the same?” replied Luo Ri Deity King with a sore voice.
“Luo Ri Deity King, conversing with you really is difficult, you are always poking at my unfortunate experiences!”
Dark Monarch laughed, “My teacher has a plan, a plan that can wipe the Fuxi Celestial Race out and I need your help.”
Luo Ri Deity King stiffened up right away and he turned Dark Monarch down without even thinking twice, “Fuxi Celestial Race is prospering and they are at their pinnacle right now, who can even annihilate them? Do you wish to be suppressed again? Don’t you know that the old dogs back then are all in hiding? They are too afraid of showing themselves, fearing that they would be suppressed or even worse, located and erased from existence forever!”
“Listen to what I have to say first, my friend.”
Dark Monarch smiled, “In order to obliterate them, we first have to eliminate Xin Huo, with him gone, Fuxi Celestial Race’s heritage is destroyed and that will be the end for them. What I receive is that the current inheritor is getting old, his life essence is leaking as we speak and his strength deteriorated. He has little time left in his life and this is the best strike we have in killing an inheritor as well as Xin Huo! Without Xin Huo, Fuxi Celestial Race will no longer be unstoppable!”
Luo Ri Deity King smirked, “Then why don’t you go yourself?”
In the shadows came Dark Monarch’s laughter, “I am not asking you to be there yourself, you have a brother, don’t you? Both of you are born here and both are capable, you can have him represent you to die. Furthermore, you will be staying in the Valley of Xi, even if he is dead, you can still revive him here. Your brother will not be wiped out, so why not?”
Hearing this, Luo Ri Deity King seemed to be a little convinced and he suddenly smiled, “Why not? Why don’t you go and instead, you ask me to do it?”
“Because I don’t have a brilliant brother.”
Dark Monarch sighed, “I ate my brother and this decision proved me wrong. I regret eating him too early and in a rush that I couldn’t enjoy the taste. If I kept him alive up until now and devoured him, I am sure the taste would be extraordinary! From now on, I will pay more attention on this matter and I will keep my livestocks longer. The more matured they are, the more tasty they will be and the more benefit they will bring!”
Luo Ri Deity King’s expression changed slightly and after some time, he said, “Bo Xun alone might not be sufficient against the Xin Huo inheritor, I will have to plant a spell in his psyche ocean in order to wipe Xin Huo out and cripple the inheritor. But if I left any spells, Dao Venerate Fu Min will know it and he will find me no matter what! When that happens, you will have to help me!”
Dark Monarch replied seriously, “Don’t worry, he will not be able to find you but if he did, I will be there! After all, we have been friends for so long.”
His promise eased Luo Ri Deity King greatly and Luo Ri Deity King summoned an innate god right away, who looked very similar to Xing Tian who was standing beside Zhong Yue. His head too, was larger than Xing Tian’s, had a larger body size, even more muscular, with a pair of wings, three crow talons, standing tall on the ground.
After some instruction, Luo Ri Deity King slammed a spell into the innate god’s psyche ocean and he said, “Bo Xun, Xin Huo inheritor will be rushing to Fuxi Celestial Race’s Ancestral Star, so ambush him on his path, make sure you kill him, but most importantly, that flame of inheritence’s death However, you will no match against the inheritor, so I planted the [Falling Sun Slumbering Great Curse] in your psyche ocean. When this spell is activated, all gods within Ancestral Star will fall into slumber, even monarch level existences will be affected to a certain degree. Once you see him, activate my spell right away and kill him and Xin Huo once his conscious is blurred!”
“We are honourable innate gods, how can we play dirty against a postnate living being?”
An enraged Xo Bun shouted, “Brother, do you think I can’t even win against a dying old dog?”
“Hush!”
Luo Ri Deity King roared, “This concerns our lives and deaths, how could you be so reckless? Just do as I said, there is no space for any negotiation!”
After being roared at, Bo Xun remained silent, nodded and left and so did Dark Monarch.
Zhong Yue on the other hand, sailed out from Valley of Xi and he saw Dark Monarch and Bo Xun flying towards two different directions. Seeing this, Zhong Yue hesitated right away, there were two options given to him, one was following Bo Xun to witness the past that caused Xin Huo’s slumber, the other was tailing after Dark Monarch in search of his sacred ground, the innate sacred ground that birthed Dark Monarch.
In order to erase Dark Monarch, his sacred ground must first be located and only with that, he would no longer revive.
“Its hard to see him, I have to follow him and find his sacred ground!”
Monarch Hao Yi murmured to himself, “This guy is good at hiding and there is someone scary supporting him. If I can take him out, it would be great!”
Zhong Yue’s heart moved and he shouted, “Monarch Hao Yi, can you tell me Dark Monarch’s sacred ground once you locate it?”
Still unable to hear Zhong Yue, Monarch Hao Yi continued his murmuring, “Its hard to catch up with him but he cant sense me yet. Once I find his sacred ground and if I can’t kill him, I will leave clues of his sacred ground for our race for our triumph. If I die, you can go to the Void World…. Hush! Of course I will die, I am a postnate living being after all. Little Fuxi, I’ll be awaiting for you!”
With a leap, he jumped down from the thousand-winged ancient ship and smiled, “My spirit will be waiting and watching you! I am looking forward to seeing you in the future! Just mention Valley of Xi and I will immediately recognize you!”
Zhong Yue rushed to the back of the ship following after Monarch Hao Yi but he had already disappeared within the vicinity.
“Xin Huo, do you want to know the reason to your slumber?” asked Zhong Yue.
Xin Huo remained silent and after some time, he nodded, “I do, but there is something more important, we have to get to the Heaven Court!”
Zhong Yue’s heart beated quickly and nodded, “If we can’t change the past, we will change the future! To Heaven Court!”

The thousand-winged ancient ship’s wings flapped quickly, torn the skies apart and after a year, it arrived at Heaven Court, the Heaven Court of the Earth Order Era. Alluring and charming, one after another serpent bodied Fuxi Celestial Being stood before the Southern Heaven Gate, spears in their hands and donned in armor.
Their three divine eyes opened from time to time, emitting bright light that shined upon Zi Wei.
In the court, officers from every race walked around, crowding the court and formed a prosperous scene!
Silently, the ship sailed in the ancient past, right towards the long destructed Ling Xiao Palace in the Earth Order Era’s Heaven Court.
Hmmm? What a strange ship!
In the palace, an old yet majestic Earthly Sovereign opened his divine third eye, and launched a bright light onto Zhong Yue who was onboard, as if he saw the future!
A future Fuxi?
The Earthly Sovereign stood up in shock and he asked, “My descendant, your purpose here to meet with me, what is it?”
“Monarch Xi Hao! Follow me!” shouted Zhong Yue loudly as he sailed out from the Heaven Court.
Unable to hear the voice from future, Monarch Xi Hao was confused, he also couldn’t see Zhong Yue’s action, but he could see the ship leaving and he asked, “Why are you leaving?”
“Come with me!” said Zhong Yue again as he stopped.
“You want me to follow you?” asked the approaching Monarch Xi Hao as he seemingly understood what Zhong Yue wanted.
Zhong Yue arrived at the Palace of Subjects and Advisors and Monarch Xi Hao looked at his officers, “Ladies and gentlemen, come with me.”
The thousand-winged ancient ship sailed towards the army camps, Monarch Xi Hao Summoned his soldiers seeing this. Gradually, more and more Imperial Emperors and monarchs followed behind and they were all puzzled, confused to why they were summoned by their benevolent lord.
The ship then sailed into ancient universe with Monarch Xi Hao and the others followed behind and Monarch Xi Hao’s divine third eye locked onto the ship.
Finally, the thousand-winged ancient ship led them to that sun outside Valley of Xi and sailed into it, followed suit by Monarch Xi Hao and the others.
And they saw, the land of sun fall, the massive Valley of Xi and they were all amazed by what they saw.
“Luo Ri Deity King, its time for you to fall. Ladies and gentlemen, follow my lead, as we raid Valley of Xi today!”
Chapter 1170: Killing The Celestial Monarch |
Monarch Xi Hao led many experts to raid the Valley of Xi. Thus began the battle of the fall of Luo Ri Deity King. Zhong Yue watched the whole battle from the deck of the thousand-winged ancient ship.
The outcome of the battle was long destined. Luo Ri Deity King was killed and his race exterminated. The Dao of the Valley of Xi Sacred Ground was crushed and the Valley of Xi was shattered to pieces, turned into ruins.
Monarch Xi Hao and Heaven Court’s generals built a huge temple on top of the ruin and raised a stela made of jade stone. Monarch Xi Hao carved everything about the battle on the stela.
The recording ended up with him stating, “Vaguely, Xi Hao saw a specter riding a ship, came from the future to guide Xi Hao here. It all happened like a dream.”
Then, at the bottom of the stela, he outlined the silhouette of an ancient ship. It was blurry and the specter of a Fuxi could be vaguely seen standing on the deck of the ship, but the Fuxi’s face was blurred out.
Although he could “see” Zhong Yue and the thousand-winged ancient ship, he couldn’t look clearly into the future but only a vague outline of what was.
“Fuxi from the future, will we meet again?”
Monarch Xi Hao raised his head with his Three Eyes Heavenly Pupils opened, staring at the thousand-winged ancient ship and Zhong Yue as he smiled, “I’ve come across many wonders in my life, but never once have I experienced anything as bizarre as today. How unfortunate, I am unable to see your face. But you are one of my descendants, that means I will be able to see you one day in the future, yes? Maybe, you are already born by now, somewhere in our Fuxi Celestial Race!”
He walked around happily, excited by his own conjecture.
Finally, the Heavenly Monarch returned to Heaven Court and ordered every Fuxi to search for Zhong Yue within the race. The search continued on for more than 2,000 years, but Monarch Xi Hao still hadn’t found the future Fuxi even after he took his last breath.
“I’ve seen a specter from the future.” Before his death, the Heavenly Monarch murmured on his bed, “He was here to see me, led me to kill Luo Ri Deity King. He was talking to me on the deck of the ship, but I couldn’t hear a thing…”
A close subject to him replied, “Your Majesty, aging has infected you with illusions. It was your wisdom that led you to eliminate Luo Ri Deity King, there were never any specters from the future. Your Majesty, please enter the Void World, wait no more or your atman will be in danger!”
“No, I saw him, I really saw him. It wasn’t an illusion!” The Heavenly Monarch was rallied, he stood up from his bed and said loudly, “I can wait until he returns! I will be able to… Wait, I saw the ship, I can see him now! He is here to take me! I am seeing the ancient ship from the future, the specter from the future, he is here!”
Beside the bed, his subjects were all shocked. They saw the Heavenly Monarch walked away from his bed in high spirits, striding out of his palace as if youth had returned to his dying body.
The subjects followed the Heavenly Monarch out of the imperial palace and arrived outside. The Heaven Court was filled with golden palaces, the celestials and demons lived in harmony with one another, smiling and laughing together. They glanced around and saw only a world of peace and prosperity.
Monarch Xi Hao stood in front of his imperial palace, his body was straight and his head was high, he was laughing happily as he said, “It is no illusion! He is here to take me!”
“Your Majesty!”
Suddenly, the subjects burst into tears and knelt on the floor, lowering their heads and kowtowing to the Heavenly Monarch. They said in unison, “We congratulate Your Majesty, the Earthly Sovereign Heavenly Monarch, for the returning of your spirit back to the void!”
Zhong Yue was on the deck of the thousand-winged ancient ship, he was also there, watching as the Heavenly Monarch’s spirit rose into the air and flew into the Void World.
He waved his hand and murmured, “Monarch Xi Hao, we will meet again in the future…”
A smile broke out on the Heavenly Monarch’s wrinkled face, his spirit was flying into the Void World, waving back at the ship as he shouted, “We will meet in the future!”
Zhong Yue was startled, he murmured back, “In the future, we will meet, for sure…”
For over 2,000 years, Zhong Yue stayed in the past. In this era, he saw many people of his own kind, they were the Fuxis, his ancestors. The power and glory of the Fuxi Celestial Race in this era was far greater than what he had imagined in his dreams.
He had been to the Ancestral Star and saw Xin Huo and the previous inheritor. Xin Huo was in slumber and the inheritor also died in the curse planted in him by Luo Ri Deity King. He died in his dreams on the Ancestral Star.
His battle with Bo Xun was not known by the public and Xin Huo’s disappearance also began along with the death of the inheritor.
Zhong Yue returned to the Valley of Xi. The derelict sacred ground was unvisited by anyone ever since the death of Luo Ri Deity King and it turned even more ruined.
“How do I go back?” Zhong Yue returned to the sacred ground and was startled. Monarch Hao Yi was long gone. The Heavenly Monarch liked to roam the worlds and visit new places, he had never returned ever since he followed Dark Monarch away.
Zhong Yue didn’t know if the Heavenly Monarch had found Dark Monarch’s hideout, had he met with Dark Monarch’s teacher, or was he safe.
Now, Zhong Yue, Shi Tuo, and Xing Tian were trapped in the past.
For two thousand years, his cultivation progress had excelled greatly. But there was still a long way to go for him to be powerful enough to shatter time and space to return back to the future. The level of Monarch Xi Hao and the likes were still far beyond his reach.
On the other hand, Xing Tian was puzzled by the bizarre experience of living two thousand years in the past. From a young man then to a brawny adult now, his appearance grew much like Bo Xun’s appearance.
It was Xing Tian’s presence in the Valley of Xi that triggered us to go back to the past. So to return to the future, we’ll have to rely on Xing Tian as well.
Zhong Yue mulled as he thought. He planned to let Xing Tian cultivate here in the Valley of Xi and see if that would trigger another chance for them to return to the future.
Of course, it was just a guess. He had no confidence as to whether it would actually work and bring them back to the future.
A dozen years passed by unbeknownst to them. Xing Tian’s cultivation base also propelled over the years and suddenly, Zhong Yue’s heart pounded heavily. In the next second, Xing Tian broke through into the level of a Deity Emperor. The Daos of the Valley of Xi abruptly quivered and swarmed toward Xing Tian!
“Uncle Zhong, I can sense the future me!” Xing Tian exclaimed in shock.
Zhong Yue was bestirred, he said happily, “That means we are returning to the future present!”
Shi Tuo was also rallied, he laughed and said, “Although it’s nice here, this is still a shithole to stay in. How boring is it to have no one to be able to see and talk to! It has been more than 2,000 years and finally, we are going back!”
They stood on the deck of the ship, high spirited as they saw the time and space around them distorting in shape. The flow of time of past, present, and future tumbled into chaos and twined together for a short moment. They saw the present Valley of Xi, just a layer of time and space away from them!
Zhong Yue sailed the thousand-winged ancient ship and just before he was going to travel through the layer of time and space to the present, darkness shrouded the Valley of Xi all of a sudden.
“Luo Ri Deity King, I am here.”
In the darkness, a terrifying presence showed himself, it was Dark Monarch!
Zhong Yue quickly stopped the thousand-winged ancient ship and floated quietly on the side. In the boundless darkness, Dark Monarch walked to the side of the Demon Suppression Grand Temple, raised his hand as he was tempted to crush the temple but forced himself to hold his urge back.
“I promised you to save you when you are in danger, but I never thought Monarch Xi Hao would follow me and find my sacred ground. Fortunately for me, my teacher noticed him and forced him back into the past. When I had the time, you were already killed by Monarch Xi Hao.”
