Zhong Yue heard “himself” describing the wonders of the Dao World to the prehistoric Deity Kings; the Dao World was a world made entirely only of the Daos, allowing it to be extremely pure, granting them a place where they could live freely without war, where there were no differences in status and the two different races, the celestial and demon would not wage wars.
In the Dao World, every Dao was perfect and they who created the Dao World were also perfect.
Time and space had no meaning to them. They were supernatural beings like chaos, except they had their own independent mind.
With that, they will eternally stay above all postnate beings, and the postnate beings will never be able to catch up, let alone surpass them.
The notion he described was too good to be true but it still got the Deity Kings all excited.
The many Deity Kings then joined forces to build this palace. As the place where the creation of a new world was attempted, this palace was abovethe Zi Wei Galaxy. It was built on the ideal location to create the Dao World.
Aside from that, as they wanted to create another universe within the palace, they built the palace to be extremely sturdy so that it could become the connection between the Dao World and Zi Wei Galaxy.
Together, they’d also forged a divine ship so perfect that it should have only existed in imagination, which ideally, should be able to travel back and forth Dao World and bring in even more innate gods.
But there were also objections among the innate gods, voices that went against Great Si Ming for handing over the ancient universe and Zi Wei to the postnate beings as they insisted that their birthplace must not be abandoned.
Apart from that, they were obsessed with their glory as innate gods and insisted that they should never back off against the postnate beings.
Then came a slaughter onto the postnate beings from those stubborn extremists among the ancient innate gods!
The postnate beings of course, resisted and though they paid a great cost, they still managed to bring down some innate gods with them. This was when they realized that the seemingly grand and majestic innate gods were not undefeatable or unrivaled. For the first time, the postnate beings saw how strong they could get, or even stronger that they could slay gods!
Some outstanding postnate beings then rose in power, calling themselves gods and gathering powerful companions as they declared war against the innate gods.
The cultivation system created by Great Sui bestowed the postnate beings with incredible power. Hence, his cultivation system gave birth to countless powerful existences among the postnate beings. Under the leadership of these postnate beings leaders, the entire universe waged war against the ancient gods, resulting in the first ever war of the Dark Age’s innate gods’ rule.
Meanwhile, the many ancient Deity Kings that were building the palace and the divine ship all had different ideas on this chaotic situation and they were all in constant disagreement.
While Goddess Hou Tu, Shi Long and the others supported the idea of separating the postnate beings from them by handing over Zi Wei and the ancient universe to the postnate beings, the extremists refused to abide by their agenda.
“We mustn’t abandon the land that gave birth to us!”
That’s what the extremists said when they descended back into the Zi Wei and the ancient universe, striking down the postnate beings’s leaders but at the same time, fueling the chaotic war even more.
Hence, even worse wars erupted and the Deity Kings fell.
This sparked even more anger among the extremists, prompting them to send in even more Deity Kings to wipe out those who dared to resist.
“Great Si Ming, this chaos must be stopped or it will get out of hand!” warned some of the Deity Kings.
Zhong Yue then saw “himself” getting up from his throne and out of the Heaven Suppression Hall. At this very moment, everything became silent as the extremists became hopeful that Great Si Ming would unleash hell upon the postnate beings and others feared that Great Si Ming would erase everything.
Even when they were innate gods, their mindsets were conflicted and Zhong Yue suddenly felt that ‘his” decision to create a world with no conflict was a mistake.
“He” walked across Zi Wei, then to the ancient universe. Wherever he went, war would stop.
“He” was just too powerful, so strong that he was able to strip away just about anyone’s life. With that kind of power, no one was brave enough to oppose him.
It had been a very long time since “he” last fought with anyone but the ancient Deity Kings all clearly remembered the monstrous power he displayed back then. Long ago, he suppressed the conflicts between the celestial and demon innate gods, ending the chaotic years of the Dark Age single-handedly!
He, the ruler of the Dark Age, was not just immortal but was also undefeated and had every living being bowing before him!
And now, “he” was walking in his territories, which woke up the memories of the ancient ones about him. Thus, they had no choice but to keep a low profile and see how things progressed.
Then, “he” went to meet Great Sui, the son of the dragon and snake, son of Lei Zhe and Hua Xu.
Right now, the dragon-headed postnate being was already extremely powerful; postnate beings were not able to cultivate the innate ancient gods’ techniques, incapable of learning the Dao language. As such, the son of dragon and snake created another path; to recreate the Daos through totem patterns in order to obtain power so great that they could eventually rival the innate gods.
“Great Si Ming is going to destroy the source of this chaos, Great Sui!” Said the bystanders as they happily hoped that Great Si Ming would kill Great Sui.
Great Sui was the source of everything, because of him, the postnate beings obtained extraordinary strength that was able to resist the innate gods.
He shattered the ancient legends, made the postnate beings part of the legends and became the main spotlight of this era!
Hence, many ancient gods thought that things would only return to normal after killing the source, Great Sui.
Lei Zhe Ancient God and Hua Xu Ancient God were both nervous and that made them followed Great Si Ming to the Tang Valley. When they arrived, there was a dragon serpent slithering around outside the valley and in the raging fire, a massive body was seen vaguely.
Somewhere not far away, the many postnate beings leaders arrived with intense killing intent, preparing to rush into the valley while the other side were the extremist Deity Kings, awaiting for a battle to capture all the postnate beings leaders.
In the valley however, was very calm; Zhong Yue saw “himself” sitting face to face with Great Sui and “he” was seeking knowledge from Great Sui about the totem pattern cultivation system.
Whereas for Great Sui, he was extremely excited at the ancestor of all living beings’ visit. He did not hold back as he explained everything about this totem pattern Dao and his knowledge to Great Si Ming.
“He” conversed with Great Sui in the innate godly language and Great Sui replied in divine language that he had created himself; the two were actually conversing for a very long time and they understood what they were speaking even though it was two complelely different languages.
Excited to have met with the first life of all lives, Great Sui showed “him” about his own discovery, the 30 Drawings of Heavenly Daos, which made “him” silent.
Then, “he” got out from the valley, and his gaze swept through the postnate beings leaders and the extremist Deity Kings before he announced that “he” would create a whole new universe. The innate celestial and demon gods would be following him into this new world while the ancient universe and Zi Wei will be handed to Great Sui and the postnate beings.
And those that did not wish to follow could stay and cultivate the totem pattern Dao created by Great Sui.
“He” also prohibited the ancient gods and the postnate beings from declaring war against each other before the Dao World was created or he would strike them down!
His decision, of course, shook the world.
The postnate beings were more than pleased at this decision while the extremist innate gods were all greatly disappointed.
“He” then returned to the Heaven Suppression Hall and gathered the many Deity Kings and they all focused on creating the altar, focused on finding a way to safely open the Dao World to prevent unnecessary problems.
After talking to Great Sui, “his” knowledge was widened further more and their idea exchange bestowed him with various unique ideas.
But still, quite a handy of the ancient gods still left, stubbornly think that “he” had betrayed the innate gods by giving in to the postnate beings, abandoning the universe that gave birth to them, giving up their high and almighty power and position, a betrayal of the innate gods.
Finally, on a certain day, “he” felt that things were ready and it was time to open the Dao World.
“He” stood at the centre of the altar and “his” Deity Kings surrounded the altar as the moment they long desired was about to arrive.
Together with “his” Deity Kings, they all brought in the endless chaos and attempted to create the skies among the chaos!
Such was an amazing scene!
Just as Dao World was created, the heaven and earth’s endless Dao yielded, the ancient universe and Zi Wei Galaxy trembled. The endless power from “him” and the Deity Kings created a whole new universe, an universe so wonderful and alluring as the brightest pearl hanging high above Zi Wei!
However, the pressure of creating a new world was all upon “him” and the Deity Kings, pressing them firmly onto the altar and had them to give everything they have to resist with the pressure!
No matter how much power they used, there would be equivalently strong power coming from the opposite but they’ve already anticipated this. Thanks to their preparation, under their support, the Dao World slowly stabilized and all they needed was just another period of time until this impossible world fully form.
And that was when things quickly turned sour.
From the altar beneath them came drumbeats that were filled with a raging desire to annihilate all life; just as the drum sounded, Daos were sealed away and the Dao World immediately fell apart. With that, the shockwaves and the power in the drumbeats amplified each other’s strength and slammed towards them right away!
“He” was the one standing at the frontline, causing “him” to kneel on one of his knees under the pressure and on the other hand, the seals of the Dao rendered the Deity Kings who controlled the heaven and earth’s Daos unable to cast any spells and their weapons unusable!
Then, “he” saw “his” most trusted Deity King suddenly turn against him and charge towards the immobilized Deity Kings, piercing their heads with strange techniques, erasing all life forms from those he once called partners!
The immobilized Deity Kings were all shocked and confused; even when they died, they did not know why did this Deity King betrayed and what he bore in his mind when he destroyed the Dao World they worked so hard for.
At the same time, another batch of innate gods marched into the shattered Dao World as they all shouted, “Kill the tyrant!”
“Kill the foul leader!”
Endless sadness devoured “him”, “he” wanted to question their betrayal but with the Dao World World completely destroyed, “his” strength was used to withstand the pressure as he wanted to hold the Dao World up so that “his” old friends and subordinates could run away.
Some ran and the others stayed as they had sworn that they would protect “him” no matter what.
One by one, “he” witnessed the death of “his” men but they continued to put up a fight despite knowing they stood no chance before these traitors.
“Great Si Ming!”
Shi Long came forth with the divine ship; the dragon god merged his body with the ship, turning himself part of the ship while the Eight Barren Deity King and the other ancient Deity Kings stood around altar as they allowed that betrayer Deity King continued his massacre but not before their very own flesh and blood flew towards the ship, branding their Daos and blood carvings onto the ship.
From their mouth came obscure Dao language but this time, Zhong Yue entirely understood what the Dao language was talking about.
“By my life, I protect the ruler.”
“By my soul, I protect the ruler.”
“By my Dao, I protect the rule.”
“Sing my name and praise my voice, the great ruler shall be reborn!”
These ancient Deity Kings shouted and their Dao language rumbled the heaven and earth, branding deep into the time and dimension.
“Mo he ba he so ba he! Si duo ming duo si mo duo!”
Chapter 917: Heavenly Dao |
The Dao World exploded and amidst the realm’s destruction, Lei Zhe Ancient God and Hua Xu Ancient God charged into the dire situation, saving Goddess Hou Tu and the other few Deity Kings. Shi Long merged himself with the divine ship filled with the many ancient Deity Kings’ branding and charged out from the Heaven Suppression Palace, disappearing after entering Zi Wei.
The divine ship then buried itself away in history, waiting to be rediscovered by someone to trigger the ancient chants that would reawaken the ancient ruler.
Before “his” death, “he” became fueled with rage. And now, the Great Si Ming had returned!
He wanted to be resurrected so that he could carry out his vengeance!
He wanted to rise as the ruler of this heaven and earth again and unleash his wrath upon his foes.
His Dao friends, subordinates, the ancient gods that gave their lives for him would not die in vain as he would bring them back to life, no matter the cost!
Zhong Yue felt “his” chest burning with anger. This flame of anger was about to set the universe ablaze and erase all evils with his raging fire!
He wanted to remind them that he became the ruler not through kindness but his brutality!
Suddenly, Zhong Yue no longer found himself seeing things from Great Si Ming’s perspective and not the incredibly ancient universe but he was still standing in the destructed world. The destroyed heaven and earth was still that heaven and earth, the altar was the same altar and right before him was the Six Paths Bead. He was still himself, the young man that walked out of a little human race’s village, a half-blood Fuxi and not Great Si Ming.
And Great Si Ming’s skeleton was still standing right at the altar’s center.
What happened just now was because of the reversal in the time flow that created strange phenomena; he returned to the past in Great Si Ming’s vision. However, as astonishing as the history was, it was, after all, Great Si Ming’s story, not his.
The skeletons of the ancient gods still surrounded the altar as if they were guarding Great Si Ming.
Moments ago, their weapons unleashed a cataclysmic attack, clashing with the drum and the terrifying shockwaves reversed the time flow that seemingly brought everything back into the prehistoric times to alter the past.
But what done was done, and history could not be changed. The power unleashed by the catastrophic attack was in the end, nullified by the spatiotemporal element, denied the chance to alter the past, only allowing Zhong Yue to experienced the past through Great Si Ming’s perspective.
And now with the power unleashed by the attack dispersed, everything returned to normal and so did Zhong Yue.
The young man now stood beneath the Eight Barrens Deity King’s feet. He looked towards the four Imperial Emperors, only to find them all slammed onto the ground after falling from the skies.
The four Imperial Emperors then quickly got back up on their feet but they too were as clueless as Zhong Yue.
Did they experience what I experienced just now?
Whatever happened back there was too realistic that Zhong Yue felt that he had become Great Si Ming.
It was a battle not recorded in history as he did not see it in the time flow torrent.
After that battle, there was another crucial battle between the postnatal gods led by Great Sui and the extremist innate gods, which was also the battle where the former emerged as the ruler of the heaven and earth with Great Sui becoming the new Heavenly Monarch!
Who betrayed Great Si Ming?
Zhong Yue suddenly wanted to ask Tai Feng and the others if they saw the traitor’s face.
All of a sudden, a cracking sound came from the altar. A split emerged on the massive drum but not before they heard another sound. This time, it was not the drum that was cracked but the innate divine weapons in the hands of the Deity Kings’ skeletons surrounding the altar!
The innate divine weapons kept on producing cracking noises and the frequency increased quickly.
The weapons created by these prehistoric Deity Kings very own Dao, which granted them immunity against time, now had cracks all over them!
Suddenly, one of the innate divine weapons in the Eight Barrens Deity King’s hands shattered right before Zhong Yue’s eyes!
Peng peng peng—
One after another, these innate divine weapons all turned into dust.
“No!”
Tai Feng and the Imperial Emperors’ expression twisted before this scene and they shrieked.
But that did not save the innate divine weapons from destruction.
To make things worse, the ancient and majestic Deity Kings’ Dao skeletons were also facing the same thing right after the innate divine weapons turned into dust. The Dao skeletons soon turned to dust and fell onto the ground.
The four Imperial Emperors were devoured by despair and they wanted to save one or two of the skeletons before they all turned into dust but to no avail.
Dust was all that was left over the altar’s surrounding and the Imperial Emperors stood in the dust hopelessly.
