Obeying Her Racy Firemen [Racy Nights 8] (Siren Publishing Ménage Everlasting), page 15
As they each suggested residents they thought would do a great job as mayor, Annalise’s cell phone rang. She frowned. “It’s my cousin, Carma. I haven’t heard from her in forever.” Annalise took the phone out of the room to answer it.
Zach smiled. “She has a cousin named Carma?”
“It’s short for Carmella,” said Olivia.
“Where is her family from? Cincinnati, right?”
Olivia shook her head. “No, that’s where she moved from. She’s actually from a small town in northwestern Ohio called Bellefontaine, but Carma and most of Annalise’s family lives in Passion Peak, Colorado.”
“Great name.”
“The town or her cousin?” asked Gina.
“Both.”
The three were back to talking about Bernie, Morgan and Steve Remming when Annalise returned to the room. She sighed and dropped into her chair. “Well, looks like I’ll be leaving town for a while.”
“What happened? Is Carma all right?”
“She’s fine, but our distant and very rich, very shady uncle Dominick isn’t. He’d dead.”
“Oh. I’m so sorry.”
“I barely knew him. He lived in Chicago but the funeral will be in Passion Peak, where most of his family members are buried. That’s not why I need to go there, though. Apparently I’m named in his will. So is Carma, and his attorney insists anyone named in it be there in person for the unveiling.”
Zach chuckled. “Don’t you mean the reading?”
She shook her head as she punched buttons on her phone. “No, Zach. In my family, something of this magnitude is unveiled, not simply read.”
“Who are you calling?” asked Gina.
“Dustin. I can’t deal with this alone. I haven’t seen my family since I got married. I need Dustin and Chad with me to face them all again.” Annalise had come to Racy after a very painful divorce, and none of them knew very much about her ex-husband, because once she’d started dating Dustin and Chad, she’d never mentioned Jim Harmon again.
“I hope they both can get time off and go with you,” said Olivia.
“Me, too.”
Chapter Nineteen
Saturday afternoon, Storm and Cameron blindfolded Olivia as they drove her through the streets of Racy. She was so excited, but a bit apprehensive as well, convinced they taking her to Maddox’s club. They three had been there since their first time together, but they hadn’t yet stayed on the main floor. Was that the surprise?
She squirmed in her seat and tried to guess where they were by the sounds around them, but she really had no clue. When Storm finally parked his car, he took her arm and led her inside a building. As soon as she crossed the threshold she knew where she was from the smell. He took off her blindfold and she glanced around Luke’s Bar. It was empty. On a Saturday afternoon? What was going on?
She gazed up at Storm and Cameron, frowning and feeling thoroughly confused.
“Storm cupped her face gently. “Olivia, do you remember when we first met you?”
“Of course. It was in here, at the reopening.”
“And do you remember talking to us after Gina’s collaring ceremony?”
She nodded. “Yes, at The Fit Bod.” Why all the questions? It wasn’t that long ago.
“I told you something gold would suit you better with that red hair.”
“Yes,” she whispered. “You did say that.” Was that why they were here? Olivia put a hand over her heart.
“And all I did was ask you if he was bothering you,” said Cameron with a big grin on his face.
She didn’t answer. She just smiled at each of them, waiting. Her heart overflowed with love. How they could have found time to plan anything with all that was going on amazed her. She couldn’t even concentrate on studying right now. It showed how very much they loved her, and Olivia was overcome again with emotion.
Storm glanced up at the sound of voices. “Ah, right on time.”
Olivia laughed and clapped her hands as everyone came into the main room from the back. Luke was first, and he teased her about having closed his bar on a Saturday just for this. Chase followed, with Alexa on his arm. Alexa gave her a quick hug, and then so did Kari.
Kari took her place in the circle forming around the three, in between Noah and Adison, with Alexa, Chase, and Luke next to them. This was the first time Olivia had actually met Julie Carruthers, but she’d known who she was before today. She was a psychologist, and sub to Sean and Maddox McCree. Next came Annalise with Dustin and Chad, followed by Marisol, Ellis, and Rafe. Gina smiled at her, flanked by Zach and Harrison, and last came Cherilyn with Thayer and Evan.
Annalise and Gina each gave her big hugs before joining their respective Doms in the circle. Once everyone was around them, Storm and Cameron told Olivia to kneel. She did, and she gasped as Storm produced a gold collar from his pocket. When had they found time to do that?
It was similar to Gina’s, but the design on this one was simple with clean lines that formed a trio of hearts. It was longer than Gina’s as well, and more delicate. Whereas Gina’s fit around her neck almost as tightly as a choker, this one would hang down a bit more. It was exactly the style she’d have chosen for herself.
Storm smiled down at her, and her heart nearly burst at the love flowing out of his eyes. Tears welled up, and she just let them fall. “Olivia, you know how much I love you. You are everything I have ever wanted, and you have taught me things about a relationship that I never knew existed. I want you with me forever, as my best friend, my sub, and my lover. You accepted who I am and didn’t judge me, and you taught me that I could love again. You’ve made me whole.”
He moved behind her and placed the collar around her neck but didn’t fasten it yet. “This isn’t only a symbol of your submissiveness to me. It’s a symbol of my promise to love you, protect you, and cherish you for the rest of my life.”
Olivia swiped at her tears only because they were blurring her vision. She let Storm’s words sink in and realized he’d done the same for her. He’d helped her find her strength and her inner beauty, and had helped her become the woman she’d always known was there, waiting to blossom.
Cameron stepped in front of her and grinned at her in a way that made her panties flood. “Olivia, I never thought I’d love anyone. But then you turned those big green eyes on me and I was gone, right over the edge. You showed me that I could love, despite what I’d gone through in my past. You didn’t judge me. You simply loved me. No one had ever done that before.”
Cameron’s voice cracked, and he took a deep breath before continuing. “I love you so much. I want to be your Dom, your lover and your best friend for the rest of my life.”
He stepped behind her and fastened the collar. “And like Storm, I promise to protect and cherish you forever.” Both men stood in front of her again. She swallowed hard and struggled to keep her voice even so she didn’t sound like a blubbering idiot.
“Storm, Cameron, I love you both so much. I didn’t think I was worthy of love, and especially not from either of you. But you showed me how to dig deep inside and find who I was, and to celebrate that. You make me feel beautiful, and sexy, and strong. You helped me accept my gifts and find a way to use them in my life. I’m whole now because of both of you.”
She closed her eyes for a second and let the emotion course through her. When she opened them again, she continued. “I want to be with both of you forever. As your best friend, your lover, and your sub. I want to give you everything you’ve ever wanted, and help you grow into the men you want to be, just as you’re helping me grow into the woman I’ve always wanted to be.”
She fingered the collar around her neck. “Thank you so much for this. It’s so special, and I will never take it off. I don’t know what else to say. Thank you so much.”
They smiled at her, extending their hands, and she stood to embrace them as cheers and clapping filled the bar. Everyone hugged her amidst laughter and more tears, and then Luke poured drinks for everyone. As she stood among her friends, talking and smiling, flanked by the two most gorgeous, sexy men imaginable, Olivia knew that, no matter what happened in this town or in her life from this point on, she would be safe and protected.
Storm and Cameron would love and cherish her, and she would love, honor, obey, and cherish her two firemen in return. They were her Doms and her best friends. She loved them more than she’d ever thought it was possible to love anyone or anything. Her heart was full of the most perfect and complete joy. She’d found everything she’d been looking for, and then some, and she intended to spend the rest of her life showering Storm and Cameron with love.
