Keegan’s response was cheerful, and it seemed like he thought the hardest part was behind us. “That’s a good idea, and it’ll give me a chance to remind him that I get sex this weekend.”

Laughing would’ve been the wrong response, right?

At the moment I wasn’t sure how I was feeling, so I chuckled. “I’m not sure he’ll need the reminder, but it can’t hurt.”

After Keegan said goodbye and that he’d see me soon, I disconnected the call and quickly texted him my address. Ordering pizza through the app was almost as easy, so in minutes I was staring at the phone and wondering what the fuck I should do.

Finally just deciding to fuck it all, I flopped down on the couch and pulled up Julian’s number. It’d been weeks since I’d texted him and longer than that since we’d had any kind of real conversation, but I knew putting it off now was out of the question.

I think we have a few things to discuss. Our boy is coming over to chat.

The phone was silent for several minutes while I just watched the time tick by. Just as I was giving up, his reply came through.

Yeah. I bet it’s going to be an interesting conversation.

His words gave me nothing to work with, forcing me to text him back.

I agree. I’m going to have more questions later but from what he said you’re okay with him coming over. Right?

I was not going to start whatever the fuck we were doing with lies or miscommunications.

I could almost hear Julian’s sigh in his response.

Yes. He’s been very honest about what he wants and I’m glad you’re going to talk. Just make sure you’re equally as honest with him and that you think about what you want as well.

It was cryptic, but from Julian, I had to assume by honest he meant that he wanted me to talk about our terrible attempt at dating. I wasn’t looking forward to it, but since Keegan seemed to be saying that he wanted to see us both, he had a point.

I will. I’m assuming you were honest with him as well?

This was going to get frustrating if we told the cutie completely different versions of events.

  Yes.

There was another pause before the rest of his thought came through.

I did my best to give him honest answers so he knew where I was coming from.

I wasn’t sure if that meant he’d told Keegan I was an uncompromising asshole or he’d told him that we just weren’t compatible, but I wasn’t willing to ask.

Alright. We’re going to stick with the limits you’ve established for tonight. I think meeting for dinner or something tomorrow would be a good idea.

Well, it was probably going to end up being a terrible idea, but I wasn’t sure I had another option and he must’ve agreed.

Yeah, let me know mid-afternoon when you think you’ll get off work and we’ll figure something out.

He didn’t seem enthusiastic about the idea. However, since it was the longest conversation we’d had in at least a year, I thought it was an improvement.

Sounds good. I’ll talk to you tomorrow.

I got a quick goodbye from Julian which signaled the end of the conversation. As I stared at the phone, I couldn’t decide if I was glad that we’d talked or not. We hadn’t been able to make it work on our own and with both of us wanting to get to know Keegan, I couldn’t imagine that would help our friendship.

Waiting for Keegan to arrive didn’t give me any peace or answers, but as he bounced into the house, I couldn’t help but smile. “I’m starving.”

Laughing, I closed the door and wrapped my arms around him. “The pizza just got here. That’s why I was so close to the door.”

He turned his head to see the box sitting on the hall table. “What did you get?”

The food was clearly the most important thing to him, giving me a better idea about how long it’d been since he’d eaten something. “Sausage and peppers.”

“Yum.” He gave me a wiggly hug before turning back to the food. “And I bet it’s still hot.”

Laughing, I took his hint. “Alright, put your bag at the bottom of the stairs and I’ll bring the food into the living room.”

Obeying excitedly, he gave me a quick kiss before hurrying to put his bag down. As I headed into the living room and set the box on the coffee table, he bounced in, entirely too awake for as late as it was. “What can I do to help?”

He was too excited to tell him to just sit down, so I gestured toward the kitchen. “Come help me grab the drinks.”

“This is a very white house.” His eyes darted around before coming back to me.

I just shrugged. “Um, the real estate agent said it was a very classic look?”

  Or something like that.

Keegan was nodding, but the look on his face said he was trying to hold back his real opinion. I pointed back to the couch as we walked through to the kitchen. “The couch is black.”

  That went with white.

  Right?

Focusing on the ceiling, I pointed toward the small windows high up on the tall walls. “Aren’t they gorgeous? They’re positioned just right to catch the perfect light in the winter. They light up the whole house.”

That was more important than white walls.

Keegan beamed, nodding as he stared up at the ceiling. “I can see why you like it.”

Pointing out my favorite features as we grabbed waters and napkins, I kept chatting as we headed back out to the living room. As we put everything on the table and I sat down on the couch, I had to laugh as Keegan plopped down on my lap.

“This is much better.” He kissed my cheek and snuggled closer. “If you’re holding me, then you can’t really be frustrated with me.”

“Is that how it works?” Holding him might not be the perfect way to keep me from getting frustrated, but his smile and the way he was snuggling up to me would do wonders.

“Yes.” He gave me another beaming smile as he reached out and shifted the box so he could see the food. I just watched as he analyzed it and picked one piece before bringing it up to feed me. “And if I’m being sweet and helpful, it will be even harder to stay frustrated with me.”

That sounded a bit too much like he was quoting someone else, but I just chewed and enjoyed watching the way his mind worked. As I swallowed, he fed me again and started to chatter. “Julian said I’m supposed to ask you what you want out of this and really listen to you, but you don’t want to stop seeing me, do you?”

I knew I was being tenderly, if not masterfully, manipulated, but it was too cute to call him on it.

Even if I wanted to, though, it would’ve been impossible because he kept feeding me as he chattered. “There are a lot of ways to make this work. Dating separately and having different nights and acceptable rules would be one way to handle it, but when you talk to Julian—he said you were going to dinner tomorrow—I think you two should talk about us all dating together.”

Somehow the bite went down the wrong pipe, and I ended up coughing and choking. When I could finally breathe again, Keegan reached over and got me a bottle of water. As I sipped, he studied me closely.

“I’m the perfect solution. Neither of you would have to compromise and you could both keep me and I could keep you and I think I’d like having two Doms.” His eyes widened eagerly as I didn’t immediately say no. “Oh, and I think I’d like to try taking you both at the same time. But we can put that on a ‘maybe’ list if it would make you uncomfortable to be that naked with Julian until you’ve worked on your relationship with him.”

Somehow water came out my nose and I started coughing, unable to catch my breath. It didn’t help when he stood and started pounding on my back like I was a two-year-old who’d swallowed a Lego. Laughter did not help my ability to breathe.

He was clearly trying to kill me.

  Chapter 7

  Keegan

Niall always looked so put together and calm, but he was turning out to be the more dramatic of my two Doms.

When he’d stopped coughing and his color was back to normal, I sat down beside him. “I think you should finish eating before we have any other discussions.”

Julian would not be happy with me if I accidentally killed Niall.

He might have tried to sound relaxed about the whole thing, but it was clear that there was still a lot going on between the two of them. Mom had definitely been right. If I wanted them both, they were going to have to work through a few things first.

  But they were lucky.

While I might not be patient, I was creative and persistent, which were even better traits to have in a partner.

“I’m fine.” Niall was clearly not fine, but I pretended to believe him.

Patting his thigh, I smiled. “I’m sure you are.”

I was going to have to practice looking more believable if his snort was anything to go by. However, since I could still see Julian in the back of my mind ready to lecture me about accidentally making Niall choke to death, I wasn’t going to let Niall talk me into any more conversations until there was nothing for him to choke on.

  Or spray with water.

Taking a piece of pizza, I started eating so he couldn’t question me. He seemed to have guessed what I was doing, but he just shook his head while we ate. When the food was gone and we were relaxed and sleepy, judging by the yawns that were escaping us both, Niall pulled me back into his arms.

Curling against his chest as I snuggled closer, I sighed and tried to stay quiet until he’d figured out what he was going to say. As we’d eaten, we’d kept the conversation light, talking about work and silly things so he wouldn’t choke anymore.

Now it was time to be patient so he could think.

And I had a feeling I was supposed to be patient since he was the Dom.

That was just a bit difficult, though.

“Logically I can see why you want all of us together, little spitfire, but I’m not sure it would work. Julian and I don’t seem to cooperate well.” Niall’s nickname for me made me smile, but I wasn’t sure how to react to the rest.

Was I supposed to talk around their sex problems?

If so, that wasn’t going to work very well.

Subtle had never been my strong suit.

“What do you think was the problem between you?” I wasn’t even sure if they’d really dated or if they’d just tried to see if they’d work in bed and had called it off when that didn’t pan out.

Niall was quiet for a few long moments, but eventually he gave up and started explaining. “He wasn’t satisfied with what I could give him.”

That seemed to be one gigantic understatement.

Instead of pointing that out, though, I talked around it. Head-on didn’t seem to do any good with Niall…and it was kind of dangerous with his propensity for choking.

“Well, I can give him the submission he needs from a partner and I love bottoming, so there’s no problem there either.” What else…what else… “Oh, and I like the idea of the three of us in bed, but I’m very confident that I’ll be happy with just one-on-one sexual activities as well.”

  What else should I mention?

“We already know that you guys have chemistry up to a certain point so we don’t have to worry about you guys not being attracted to each other. That would just be awkward.” With lots of quiet stares and probably very little sex.

Niall chuckled. “Yes, that would be difficult to work around.”

Glad we were on the same page, I stroked his chest and kissed his neck. “So all you guys have to do is agree that I’ll be the bridge and you’ll be my anchors…oh, a bridge…”

Sitting up, I glanced around. “Do you know where I put my bag…I have to get this…my notebooks…”

  Oh, the stairs.

“One second. I’ll be right back.” Standing, I hurried back through the house to find my overnight bag. Sitting down beside it, I dumped out the contents. “Why did I put it on the bottom?”

When the large notebook was liberated and I’d managed to find my pencils too, I flipped to a clean page. Everything else faded away as I got the idea down in broad strokes and rough outlines. When the basic idea was out of my head and down on the paper, I closed the book and looked up, surprised to see Niall leaning in the doorway that led to the living room, now drinking something that smelled like tea and holding my dragon dildo.

“Hi.” Looking around the floor, I noticed the rest of my stuff was cleaned up. “Thank you. I got distracted.”

Niall chuckled, rolling the thick toy around in his hand. “Why do you have three dildos and a variety of art supplies in your bag but no clothes for tomorrow?”

Glancing down, I studied the contents and shrugged. “I just brought the essentials. I’m only staying overnight, right? I didn’t bring enough supplies for longer than that.”

As I looked up at him again, I saw him smiling as he nodded. “Yes, just overnight, but now I’m very curious about what would be needed for a longer stay.”

  More toys and more pencils.

“I just had time to grab the important stuff before I headed out of the house.” I glanced toward the bag. “I remembered my toothbrush.”

Standing, I hurried over to him and peeked in his cup. Yep, tea.

He was so cute, even with a dragon dildo in his hands. “Are we taking that to bed?”

Stroking my finger down the length of the sexy toy, I couldn’t help but shiver. That was one of my favorites. Were we going to play with it?

Niall’s groan had me turning back to him. “You’re trying to kill me. Stop looking at it like that.”

“I was just thinking about how good it feels. Do you want to try it with me?” With Julian, I would have offered to show him how it felt, but something about the way Niall had looked as he’d talked around not wanting to submit or bottom kept me from even teasing about it.

He would not find it funny.

  I just wasn’t sure why.

“I don’t know.” He studied it for a moment before handing it back to me. “At first I thought it was a gag gift or something, but then I realized how many you had when I was putting everything back in the bag.”

He chuckled. “You were slightly distracted.”

  Just a bit.

“But it’s going to look wonderful when it’s done.” I just had to find the time to work on it…and figure out the medium…maybe a sculpture?

Niall’s smile said he wasn’t sure how to respond to that, but since he didn’t seem to have any knowledge about me or the art world in general, I wasn’t offended. I was just going to have to wait and show him how it would turn out.

It amazed me that some people just couldn’t visualize those kinds of things in their minds, but since I was also amazed at how many people didn’t understand submission, it was probably me and not them that was the interesting person.

Switching gears, I stroked my finger down the dildo and shivered as I imagined what it would feel like. “I was very good today and didn’t come. I wanted to wait until I knew how our conversation would go first.”

And I was hoping being able to say I was good would be helpful.

Niall’s expression heated and I could see his desire flaring. He might not know what to think about my toys, but he liked the fact that I’d waited to come. Shifting against him so he could feel how hard I was, I snuggled closer. “I was hard all day when I was thinking about you, but I didn’t play with my cock or fuck myself with anything.”

A low, sexy sound escaped Niall as he wrapped his free hand around me and stroked down my back until he was cupping my ass. “You were good, huh?”

Nodding, I did my best to look innocent and untouched. “I was very good. Even when I was hard and thinking about what you might do to me, I left my dick alone and kept myself busy.”

And since I’d spent the day working on different ideas that had my Doms starring front and center, that’d just made it even more difficult to behave.

Niall gave me a quick kiss, smiling even though I could feel the desire building inside of him. “It sounds like you were very well-behaved.”

But would that be enough to get an orgasm?

He was definitely going to pull a Julian and not make love to me or even just have rough sex until they’d talked, but what would he do?

The tender kiss he gave my forehead as he smiled said he wasn’t in any hurry to tell me, however. “Go get ready for bed and I’ll be upstairs in a minute. Your bedroom is going to be at the top of the stairs on the left.”

I was supposed to be pleased he kept his word, right?

“Yes, Sir.” Refusing to question his instructions or beg to know what would happen when he followed me up, I stepped away and grabbed my stuff before hurrying upstairs.

The bedroom he’d sent me to was definitely a guest room, but since he and Julian really did need to talk first, I tried not to pout. I’d sprung a lot on him tonight, so giving him space was probably the right thing to do.

But that didn’t mean I wasn’t hoping for an orgasm anyway.

Tossing my bag on the bed, I stripped down to the briefs I’d put on earlier and grabbed my phone. Texting my mother quickly, I sent her a pouting emoji.

I hate it when you’re right.

I got back a laughing one.

Guest room for you then. At least he sounds like he’s taking care of you. Don’t drive him insane but have fun.

She loved being right…and even more, she loved hearing that he wasn’t going to rush into anything.

  Evil woman. Love you.

Tossing my phone in my bag, I dug out my bathroom stuff and hurried to do a quick wash up. By the time I came out of the bathroom, clean and hopefully ready for whatever Niall had in mind, I felt a shiver run through me when I saw him stretched out on the bed, leaning against the wall.

He raised one eyebrow and scanned down my body, not bothering to hide his possessive gaze. “Is that all you sleep in?”

“I usually sleep naked.” Slowly walking toward the bed, I stroked down the sides of the somewhat small briefs. “I left these on so you would see how good I was being.”

And they looked hot as fuck.

The hungry look in Niall’s eyes as he took them in said he would’ve agreed with that statement.
