“No, I don’t think so. Maybe you did.” She shrugged as if it was nothing, but my gut feeling told me otherwise.
Walking over to the nightstand by my bed, I pulled it open and retrieved my gun. I wasn’t about to take any chances.
With my back to Merci, I took the safety off and stuck it the back of my pants, not wanting to alarm her.
“Baby, I’m about to get the shower started,” she let me know as she turned to look at me as she opened the bathroom door.
“What the fuck?” she expressed as the sound of her stepping in water caused me to see what was going on.
“Oh my god, Greyson,” Merci screamed out as she covered her mouth and fell to the ground, looking at something in such horror.
“Merci, what is it?” I asked.
I didn’t know why, but my heart sunk as I raced to the bathroom and barged in.
What I saw was something that I least expected. Zella!
