Daddy's Saving, page 12
“I’ll hold on to them for you until we get home. Let’s put your reminder plug in your bottom and we can leave.”
“I don’t want that in my bottom,” she whined, hating the sound of her own voice as she looked back on the desk where it sat next to a puddle of her tears.
“I know. Want to lie over my lap or the desk, baby girl?”
“Lap,” she whispered.
Knox lifted Sharon effortlessly to her feet. “Put the plug and jar on the edge of your desk for Daddy, Roni,” he instructed.
Sharon looked at him, unbelieving that he asked her to help him. She didn’t want to touch that thing. Shaking her head, she refused.
“Roni,” he said patiently. “The plug will go in your bottom. How long it remains there is now up to you.”
His words jumbled in her mind as she considered their implication. Swallowing hard, Sharon reached out to pluck the plug from her desk. It was heavier than she imagined and cold, even through the plastic wrapper. Quickly, she set it down on the corner of the desk before moving the lubricant.
“Please, Daddy,” she tried one last time.
“Roni, do you deserve to wear the plug?” Knox asked quietly.
She shook her head no, but he arched an eyebrow, making her reconsider. “I didn’t mean to be bad,” she whispered.
“You are a very good girl, Roni. I love you very much. I know wearing this,” Knox picked up the plug and tore away the crinkly wrapper as she stared at it in horror before continuing, “in your bottom will help you remember.”
As she watched him unscrew the lid of the lubricant, her hand drifted back to cover her hot bottom unconsciously. Knox pressed the silver plug into the container and set it back on the desk. He reached out to brush away her hands and guided her over his hard thighs.
“Fingertips on the carpet, Roni,” he instructed as he spread her red cheeks to reveal the small opening between them.
Sharon closed her eyes as she felt the cold tip press against the entrance. She tried to tense her muscles to keep him out, but Knox easily overpowered her resistance by tugging her bottom open wider. Slowly, the invader pushed inside her. The cool surface made her shiver as it sank deeper. Just when she thought it wouldn’t fit inside her, her body eased and the plug slid fully inside her.
Knox tapped on it and adjusted it with wiggles to the left and right to make sure it was fully seated. “All in, Roni. Let’s stand you up. It’s time to go home.”
Bewildered by his attitude that she could operate as if nothing had happened, Sharon let him help her to her feet. Each time she moved, the plug shifted inside her. As she stood there trying to adjust, Knox grabbed a few tissues and wiped away her arousal juices flowing down her inner thighs. He tugged her skirt back into place and stood to wipe her face with fresh tissues.
“Perfect. Let’s get out of here,” he suggested, taking her hand to lead her to the door.
Gasping, she protested, “I can’t walk with this inside me… And I need my panties. I can’t go around the building without underwear.”
“Of course you can.”
Knox held her hand firmly in his as he walked to the door and unlocked it. “Got everything you need?”
“My purse,” she whispered.
“Go get it, Roni. I’ll wait here.”
His knowing dark eyes watched her cover the short distance with tiny steps. Each motion jostled the device filling her bottom as her spanked skin rubbed against the silky lining of her straight skirt.
“Knox…”
“You can do it,” he encouraged her, holding out his hand.
Sharon swallowed hard and walked forward. She appreciated his slow pace as he led her to the entrance. Knox bid Pete good night at the desk without hesitating and held the door for her.
The walk across the green space to her apartment passed in a blur. Knox guided her through the socializing Littles in the lobby to take the elevator upstairs. Soon, he pressed a hand to her door to open it.
“Good job, Little girl. You deserve a reward,” he praised her as he locked the door behind them.
“You’ll take this out?”
“Soon,” he promised. Kneeling at her feet, Knox helped her step out of her office pumps before unfastening her skirt and sliding it over her hips, leaving her nude from the waist down.
Her fingers tangled in the silky blouse she wore, realizing that he deliberately left her partially dressed to make her feel more naked. Knox stood to scoop her up in his arms. He carried her to an armless chair and sat down with her on his lap, pushing the plug further inside her.
Sharon rounded her back and tried to wiggle out of the seated position, but Knox held her tightly against him with one muscular forearm wrapped around her waist. He lifted one of her thighs and draped it over his before repeating the process with the other.
When he spread his legs, Sharon gasped as hers parted widely. His free hand stroked over the silky material of her blouse to trace over her exposed pink folds. She looked over her shoulder to see his face. Desire marked Knox’s face. Wiggling against him despite the plug in her ass, Sharon could feel his arousal pressing against her.
His fingers stroked over her intimately. Knox was an attentive lover. He’d memorized those special places that thrilled her. Now, he used that information to tantalize her.
It didn’t take long. Sharon exploded into an orgasm that rocked her body. As she spasmed around the invader deep inside her, he continued to stroke her until she came again.
“Daddy?” she asked, not knowing what she needed.
“Do you feel like a good girl now, Roni?”
“Yes!” she answered shakily.
“Daddy knows what you need, doesn’t he?” he asked as he rose with her cradled in his arms.
Relaxed in his arms, Sharon didn’t feel any of the stress that had built throughout the week. She couldn’t think of anything—just feel. “Thank you, Daddy.”
“Oh, I’m not done yet,” he promised, carrying her into the bedroom.
Seconds later, Sharon pressed kisses against his shoulder as he supported her. Her Daddy took very good care of her.
Chapter 13
Sharon looked at the highly capable woman on the other side of her desk. The stunning blonde was as brilliant as she was intelligent. They’d known each other for as long as Belinda had worked for Edgewater Industries. Easton had promoted her quickly through the ranks of the Technology Department. Now she’d applied for the newest position Easton had assigned Sharon to fill.
“Belinda. I’m so glad to see you.”
“Thanks for letting me come talk to you about the cyber security position. It’s an incredibly complex task to provide physical security for a business as large as Edgewater Industries.”
“Don’t I know it! With branches overseas and buildings in key cities, I don’t know how Knox keeps his thumb tightly on the pulse of everything that’s happening,” Sharon agreed.
“He’s good at what he does. He has a lot of experience. People in a variety of industries respect Knox. It’s obvious that he knows his stuff.” Belinda summed up her impression of the head of security.
“So, tell me about your experience with cyber security. This seems to be a quickly changing field. I think I have it pinned down, but something else develops and another skill set is added,” Sharon confessed, hoping to learn more from her friend.
Sharon knew she was skating along a line between interviewing Belinda for a position that the woman on the other side of the desk might or might not get and harvesting more information from a source she trusted.
“I’ve been taking a lot of classes and making contacts throughout the cyber security industry. You’ll see details of my studies on my updated resume,” Belinda pointed out.
“I did note that. You’ll graduate in a couple of months with a Master’s in business with a focus on technology.” Sharon referred to her notes. “Congratulations! That’s amazing.”
“Thank you. I still need to finish the last few assignments and tests, but I have learned a lot during this process,” Belinda shared.
“So, tell me the nitty gritty. What would you do on the first day if Easton selects you for the cyber security position?”
“I have a unique insight already working in the tech department here at Edgewater Industries. I’d be ready to implement safety protocols immediately,” Belinda said confidently.
“Can you give me an example of one thing you’d put in place in the first week?”
“Definitely. Many attacks throughout history have been opportunistic—an employee uploads a virus from a flash drive that’s infected or opens an attachment on an email, expecting to see a cute puppy picture, but instead, provides an entrance for an attack or creating a back door into the company. My first week would focus on employee training while in-depth scans are being done on the network to see if any vulnerabilities exist.”
Her response impressed Sharon. Belinda had a ready answer for a proactive beginning. “Could you train all the employees in a short time?”
“A simple module that Edgewater employees could watch on their computers would be easy to create and implement. It wouldn’t have to be extensive—just a ‘don’t do this for these reasons’ online training session would suffice,” Belinda recommended. “The why is important. That’s what helps people remember to follow the guidelines.”
“I like that you’ve already thought this through. One last question, what differences in responsibilities do you see between the director of cyber security and the technology director?” Sharon probed.
“The cyber security director position is specialized. He or she is only looking at preventing and minimizing online threats. The technology director’s role is managing everything from the supply of computers to the systems in use,” Belinda explained.
Standing, Sharon held out a hand to shake Belinda’s. “Thank you for applying for the position. I’ll share that there are several candidates, and I will recruit others to apply so Easton has his choice of the best minds. This decision will not be made quickly, and second interviews are probable.”
“Thank you for considering me. I may not be the candidate with the most hands-on experience in this specific field, but you know me. I’m voracious in pursuit of information and expanding my skills. While working at Edgewater Industries, I have made learning the corporate technology structure my priority. I consider my knowledge base to rival that of the current director of technology.”
“You have always been the one I rely on for help and advice. Thank you, Belinda.” Sharon walked her to the door.
Returning to her desk, Sharon expanded her notes. As she did with every candidate, she added pros and cons that might help her distinguish between each applicant for the final decision. When she thought she had everything summed up sufficiently, Sharon filed everything in a folder on her desktop and backed it up in the company’s virtual storage.
Looking at the time, Sharon pulled up her schedule. Almost lunchtime. She decided to deal with everything in her mailbox before starting the next task on her agenda. Sharon had almost finished answering and sorting through all the messages when a notice popped up.
A new applicant had submitted his name for the cyber security position. His credentials were beyond impressive. Sharon googled his name for more information. After scanning the items listed, she picked up the phone and dialed the CEO’s administrative assistant.
“Hi, Piper. It’s Sharon. Can you squeeze me in to talk to Easton?”
“His schedule is maxed. There is no wiggle room. If you don’t mind eating while you talk, I’ll have the cafeteria send something up for you. He’s unwrapping a sandwich at his desk right now. Want to come up to have a power lunch with him?” Piper suggested.
“I’m on my way. Order me a chef salad with ranch, please.”
Sharon pushed back her chair and headed for the elevator. She’d thank Piper when she got to the office in person. Having been at Piper’s desk for years, she appreciated her thinking creatively. The cafeteria workers would probably beat Sharon to the penthouse office. They supported the owner of the company and the employees completely.
I love this job. Sharon pressed her hand to the control panel.
A powerful arm wrapped around her, pulling Sharon from her thoughts. “Knox! I’m so glad to see you.”
“Roni, got time for lunch?” the handsome man asked with a stunning smile.
“Can I get a raincheck? I’m off to have lunch with Easton. It was the only time Piper could squeeze me in,” Sharon explained.
“Of course. Work comes first,” he commented before leaning down to whisper in her ear, “until five o’clock.”
Instantly, his punishment and subsequent reward flashed into her mind from the last time she’d worked overtime. “I’ll take a break later and come see you. Maybe we could go for a short walk?”
“I’d like that,” Knox answered, ushering her inside the elevator as the doors opened. “Later, Sharon.”
Their gaze locked together as silent communication flared between them until the heavy doors closed. She couldn’t imagine not having Knox in her life now. The immense man held an even larger space in her heart. Sharon knew only a very special man could be a Daddy. How she’d been lucky enough to have Roger in her life and now to have found Knox, Sharon didn’t know.
As the doors reopened on the top floor, Sharon spotted Piper with a large bowl in her hands. “Wow! You were right. They’re amazing!”
Piper stopped and looked at her. Hesitantly, she walked forward until she stood close. “Can I say that you look happier than I’ve ever seen you?”
“Thank you, Piper.” Sharon smiled at the woman who’d stepped into her previous position when Roger had plunged into his decline. Trying to take care of the man she’d loved for so long and knowing that no matter what she did couldn’t stop the inevitable, Sharon had only been surviving when they’d met.
“Knox?” Piper asked.
“He brought me back to life,” Sharon confessed.
“Daddies make everything better,” Piper whispered as she handed over the salad.
Stepping back, Piper instructed, “Easton’s waiting to talk to you. I’ll bring you some water in a moment.”
“Thanks, Piper.”
Sharon walked into the office to find her boss at his desk. “You’re working too hard,” she commented, seeing all the stacks of paper on his desk.
“There are a lot of exciting things happening in a landslide. Tell me what’s captured your attention.”
“I’m working on the cyber security position.”
“And?”
“Type this into a search,” Sharon directed and spelled out the name of the applicant she’d just researched.
“I know that name for some reason,” Easton muttered as he typed. When information appeared on his screen, he looked at Sharon in astonishment. “You’re scheduling an interview, right?”
“Immediately after lunch. I’d like to discuss a benefits package that would mirror his experience level,” Sharon suggested.
The two worked through lunch. They would have to see if the new applicant would fit with the Edgewater Industries’ culture first during the interview before tempting him with a specialized package.
“I’d like you to ask how Mr. Morales heard about the position.”
“I’ll be interested to know that as well. To announce the position, I put out feelers all over. I was not expecting to reach the man touted as the expert in the field.” Sharon shrugged her shoulders in bewilderment.
Easton sat back in his leather chair and looked at her over steepled fingers before leaning closer, “I knew you were the one I needed for this position, Sharon. I would have never voluntarily taken you from being my admin, of course. Nor would I have ever wished Roger to become ill and take you away.”
“I miss him, Easton. He’ll always have a place in my heart. Roger told me to live my life. I don’t understand how he knew I’d have another chance at happiness,” Sharon confided to the man who’d been her close friend for years.
“So, Knox?” Easton asked with a smile.
“He makes me happy every day,” Sharon confirmed, returning his smile.
The buzzer rang on the intercom app on Easton’s phone. Piper’s voice announced his next appointment had arrived.
“I’ll be finished here in thirty seconds, Piper.”
Easton stood to walk Sharon to the door. “Keep me updated,” he requested as Piper bustled in to clear away the lunch dishes.
Sharon turned at the door to see Easton smooth a lock of hair out of Piper’s face. She liked to believe that good things always came to people that deserved them. Easton and Piper were definitely proof of that. With a nod to the man in the waiting area, Sharon took the elevator back down to her floor.
Chapter 14
“Do I need a big coat, too?” Sharon asked as Knox donned a knee-length coat. “It looks pretty warm out there.”
“I think you’ll be fine in your jacket, Roni. I never get to wear this coat. Might as well take it out today,” he said easily. “Need to potty?”
“No. Well, maybe.”
Sharon darted through his house to the bathroom, knowing he followed her. “I don’t know how you do that. Whenever you ask, I have to go again.”
Knox helped her with her jeans and panties before leaning against the wall as she peed. “Daddy power,” he commented with a straight face that made her giggle.
“Daddy!” she protested.
After Knox took care of righting her clothes, Sharon was ready to go. He steered her to the back door with a warm hand on the small of her back. He boosted her into the SUV and secured her seatbelt. Soon, they were off.
“Where are we going?” Sharon asked as Knox weaved through a dirt path leading through the trees. “You’re not taking me on another challenge course, are you?” Just the thought of that experience with Knox when she’d come back to work made her smile. Working with others on a common goal had been an experience she’d drawn on often in her new position.
