Kat grabs him, pulling him in close and gives him a deep, open-mouthed kiss. They stay that way for a moment, Graven pulling away first.
He says, “There’s one more thing.”
Kat’s eyebrow raises at that. “Oh, yea. Is there something I should know? You didn’t do something that’s going to get you in trouble later, did you?”
Graven smiles. “No, I just want to make things right. The way they should be. Open Fury’s shell chamber.”
Kat cocks her head to the side and then shrugs. Inside the chamber are two silver rings.
“This is what I was asking Fury about when you walked in on me earlier.”
“Aww.” Tears start to well up in her eyes again. “You really didn’t have to, we talked about this. The ship has to come first.”
“It didn’t cost anything. I just took some scraps and had Fury make these. They didn’t hit the account at all, promise.”
Kat lightly punches his arm again. “Why didn’t you think of this sooner then?”
He rolls his eyes. “I’ll remember that for later but for now, let's dig into Gale’s cooking before it gets cold.”
