“Goddammit,” Aldo said to Kayden, through gritted teeth. “It’s like you’re stroking my cock. I can feel everything you’re doing.”

Kayden continued stretching her until Hazel was dripping with sweat, trembling with need.

“Please,” she said at last. “God, Kayden, please. I need you. Now.”

Kayden’s fingers withdrew slowly, and she sighed with relief when she heard the rustle of the condom wrapper.

Then…he was there. His cock was thicker than his fingers, but he’d prepared her well.

A low moan escaped as he pushed the head of his dick inside, that pinch back again. But that was all it was. And once the mushroom head was in, the rest of him slid in easier.

Like her, Aldo and Kayden were struggling for breath, all of them panting. Kayden was moving excruciatingly slow, taking her by degrees, giving her time to adjust or, if necessary, ask him to stop.

  As if.

Once he was fully inside, she rested her forehead on Aldo’s shoulder.

“Okay?” Aldo cupped the nape of her neck.

“So full,” she murmured. “Love it. Love you.”

“Thank God,” Aldo whispered. “How did we ever live without you, Hazel?”

She couldn’t reply to that because, fuck, what could she say? She’d spent a lifetime alone, even when she was surrounded by people.

  “Ready for more?” Kayden asked.

  “So ready.”

“Don’t move,” Kayden demanded. “Just hold on. Let us make this good for you.”

Hazel’s fingers dug into Aldo’s shoulders as Kayden gripped her hips, pulling out before driving back in again. For the first few thrusts, he paused between, giving her time she didn’t need to adjust. Beneath her, Aldo alternated with Kayden, giving her a series of shallower thrusts that rubbed against Kayden’s dick in her ass.

Hazel’s eyes closed, bliss coursing through her veins. “More. More,” she demanded. “Don’t stop. Please.”

Kayden, as always, maintained the control she’d lost. Her body no longer felt like hers, her mind drifting to a place she’d never been. Somewhere peaceful and wonderful, somewhere warm and soft and safe.

  So safe.

She reveled in their arms, floating there between them, as Kayden and Aldo began to take her harder, faster, hotter, heavier.

Everything around her faded away, sound muted, as she lost touch with reality, aware only of the almost unbearable pleasure flooding every inch of her body.

She was vaguely aware of Aldo calling out her name, his body jerking roughly beneath her as he came. She could feel the pulsing beat of his climax.

Kayden’s hand slipped around her waist, his fingertip stroking her clit, the last nail in her coffin. She’d been hovering right there, teetering on the edge.

“Come for us,” Kayden murmured in her ear.

  Free. He set her free.

  With those three words.

While Aldo set her on fire with three more. “We love you.”

Hazel exploded, a giant white ball detonating inside her, shattering her in the best possible way.

Kayden came with her, her orgasm triggering his. His fingers dug deep into her hips, and she suspected she’d wear his bruises there tomorrow.

“Hazel,” Kayden said on a gasp that morphed into a moan of pure pleasure.

Hazel’s bones melted, every ounce of strength in her body sapped. Aldo wrapped his arms around her, holding her steady for minutes—hours—until she finally managed to land.

When she opened her eyes, she had to blink a few times to focus. She lifted her head, surprised to discover Kayden lying next to her and Aldo. She hadn’t even felt him leave her.

“There she is.” Aldo’s large hand stroked her hair.

She tried to make sense of his words, then she frowned. “Oh my God. Did I pass out?”

Kayden smiled and shook his head. “Not exactly. I don’t think you lost consciousness, but you weren’t exactly here with us either.”

“I’ve never experienced anything like that. Jesus…I’ll chase that high for the rest of my life.”

Her admission had both Aldo and Kayden chuckling.

“You aren’t the only one,” Aldo said.

She twisted, aware all her weight rested on his body. He turned with her, placing her on the bed between them. The two of them faced each other, as Kayden wrapped his arm around her stomach.

“By the way, Kay.” Aldo propped himself up on his elbow. “You owe me twenty bucks.”

  “What for?” Kayden asked.

Aldo grinned. “I bet you at Penny and Gage’s wedding we’d be the next to find our girl. It only took a burglary, a fire, a heart bypass, and a flight to Chicago, but by God, we got her.”

Hazel shrugged playfully. “Piece of cake.”

The three of them laughed, the sound growing louder when Kayden reached for his wallet and slapped the twenty in Aldo’s hand.

It might have taken her twenty-five years, but she’d finally found it…a home.

And she realized it had nothing to do with Kayden’s house and everything to do with the men lying next to her.

  With them…she was home.

  Epilogue

  Two months later…

  * * *

Liza stood next to Gianna, holding two bouquets, hers and the bride’s. She and Gianna had been friends for years, but now they were trading up, grabbing an even better relationship.

  Sisters.

She smiled as Gianna stood facing Liza’s brother, Elio, the two holding hands as they said their vows to each other. They’d written their own, and damn if there wasn’t a dry eye in the place.

Gianna and Elio had opted for a smallish—nothing was truly small with the entire Moretti family in attendance—ceremony with just two attendants, Liza as maid of honor, and Aldo standing next to their brother as best man.

The wedding was taking place in the garden behind the haunted inn. It was a beautiful June day. Blue sky, warm—but not hot—weather, the flowers in full, colorful bloom, birds singing.

They’d set up a tent with tables and a dance floor for after the ceremony, with plans to serve picnic fare for the reception dinner.

In addition to her flowing white dress and blindingly happy smile, Gianna was also sporting a baby bump, she and Elio taking the entire family by surprise when they announced at the end of April that they were expecting a child in early September.

She was going to be an aunt…again. And she couldn’t wait.

“I promise to laugh at most of your jokes,” Gianna said, as everyone chuckled. “I promise to be there for you on your best days, your boring days, and your worst days.”

As Gianna continued her vows, Liza studied Elio’s face. She wasn’t sure she’d even seen someone so genuinely happy. Then she reconsidered as she looked around. Aldo was looking toward the second row, smiling at Hazel and Kayden, the three of them had been floating in their own little bubble of bliss for almost two months now.

Gage lifted Penny’s hand and kissed it as they watched the ceremony. Tony’s arm was wrapped around Jess’s shoulders as she and Rhys held hands. Rafe, Gio, and Keeley could probably have gotten by with one damn chair, given how closely the three of them were sitting.

Liza knew she should be happy for all of them—and deep down, she was. It was just difficult to watch everyone else around her finding their dreams, while she…well, she’d been treading water so long, she was getting leg cramps. At some point, she couldn’t help but think she was going to drown in the loneliness.

Her attention was drawn back to Elio, who was now saying his vows. “As we grow into different versions of ourselves—as a couple and as parents—I promise to put in the work. I promise that whatever you dream up, I’ll do my best to make it a reality. And I promise to sweep you off your feet as often as I keep you grounded.”

Liza blinked several times, but there was no holding back the tears. It was all too wonderful and touching. After that, rings were exchanged as well as a super-hot kiss.

They all cheered, then slowly made their way to the tent, ready for the speeches and food and dancing.

Nonno, the shameless joker, had of course stolen the show when he’d asked everyone to lift a glass, offering advice with his toast. “Elio, my boy, you can be right, or you can be happy. But you can’t be both. Here’s to being happy.”

Nonna had laughed even as she slapped Nonno on the shoulder, something they’d all seen her do no less than a million times.

The dancing went well into the night, no one ready to pack it in.

By midnight, Liza had lost her heels, consumed one—okay, three—too many glasses of wine, and was sitting in a chair, trying to catch her second wind.

“Quite a night.” Gage dropped down next to her. “I have to admit, you and your friends know how to throw one hell of a wedding.”

Liza grinned, nodding her head to acknowledge the compliment. She and her girlfriends had spent months helping Penny plan her Valentine’s Day wedding to Gage. “It really has been a great night.”

“You trying to recover from the dancing?”

Liza nodded, then added a shrug. “That, and maybe feeling a little bit sorry for myself. Always a bridesmaid,” she said, trying to infuse a lightness to her tone that she didn’t feel.

She wasn’t sure why she’d said anything at all. Though in the past few months, it felt like she and Gage had been starting up a real friendship, instead of holding steady with the “person in common, aka Penny” relationship they’d begun with.

“I have two single brothers,” he joked, wiggling his eyebrows.

“Hell will freeze over,” she muttered.

Gage laughed. “I know he drives you crazy, but I think you and Matt have a lot more in common than you realize.”

Liza narrowed her eyes. “Bite your tongue. And scrub that thought from your brain. I’m nothing like that asshole.”

Gage lifted one shoulder casually, refusing to take back his words. “Well, if not Matt, how about Conor?”

“Thanks for the offer. Let me strike out on Hinge for another decade or four, and then we can revisit the conversation.”

Gage gave her a wink. “It’s a date.”

Penny walked up as a slow song came on, dragging her husband out onto the floor for the last dance.

Liza remained where she was, watching all the happy people in love, vowing to herself that by this time next year…she would be one of them.
