Deviant Control, page 3
part #3 of The Controllers Series
Omegas loved Alpha cock. It didn’t matter what you did to them, the rougher, the better, and I could be a really demanding asshole when it came to controlling Omegas. “I’ve tried a lot of stuff, extreme stuff that I’m sure a little Theta like you would run a mile from. I consider myself open-minded when it comes to giving an Omega what they need, but I have limits. You must know how Alphas are toward an Omega. Sure, they might get a spanking if they misbehave.”
I winked for effect, enjoying the flash of anger on his face. “I want to protect them—I don’t want to make them bleed.” I shuddered in disgust. “Makes me feel sick just thinking about it.”
The things Alphas did to their little Omegas would, by any other standard, be considered extreme. I had reconciled myself to what needed to be done. But this? I wanted to control them, to discipline them when they were naughty, and even when they weren't, but mostly I wanted to keep them safe and I never, ever wanted to make them bleed.
“You will enjoy it,” he said smugly.
I frowned. “Like fuck I will, I’m going to puke it back up.”
“The serum I administered changed your digestive system so you can absorb her blood. We used transfusions during the trials—not a practical solution for this operation. She will become flush with excess when you need it. For example, if you are injured or during a situation that drives a chemical response to fear or stress. When that is over, her body will stop producing, and you will no longer feel the need to bite her.”
I grimaced. Tsing had become very clinically detached. He was talking about a woman he had worked with for years, and she might as well have been a microbe under the scope.
No, not completely detached, his eyes held a hint of fervor.
He’d been waiting for this day; waiting for his little experimental research buddy to get her first dose of Alpha.
Sick fuck.
Yes, I was a sick fuck too, because I was starting to become interested in taking her blood—if she needed it.
“Anyone ever tried this with her before?” Had Ethan? For some reason, the thought of someone else getting their teeth into her pissed me off, and I hadn’t even met her yet.
The doctor shook his head. “We couldn’t complete the full transition with our initial test candidates. Blood transfusions were the only way to deliver the full benefits. The results were outstanding when trialed on Betas. I have high hopes now that circumstance has forced this on to the next step.”
Tsing was basking in the pleasure of Lillian’s imminent downfall. Which was a problem for another time. “I’ll want to bite her?” I said, battling between revulsion and curiosity. “I’ll feel the urge to rip her throat open?”
He nodded again.
“Well fuck that,” I said inadequately. “Mostly, I just want to fuck them.” I felt like I’d been cheated. How did I get a defective one?
“The other urges will be as per normal.” He said, fidgeting with his cuff. “My work with the Copper virus has given me access to the more—classified aspects of the Omega-Controller relationship. Doctor Brach has never been allocated a Controller. But there was extensive testing with the pheromones from an Alpha we were given access to, and her reactions were normal for an Omega. If anything, it was heightened when she was…flush.”
I wondered how many times he’d jacked off thinking about his little Omega colleague getting fucked by a big Alpha cock.
A lot.
“So, I’ll still need to fuck her?” I said, cataloging his reaction for future reference, and wondering how much trouble I would get in if I strangled his skinny ass.
Too much.
“Assuming she invests,” I continued. And no way was I going to ask her politely if she wanted to invest. I wasn’t above snarling in her ear like an animal until she gave her pussy up.
He nodded. “Lilly is a normal Omega in all ways.”
That was the first time he’d slipped and called her by her given name. Maybe he was reminding me he had a close relationship with the Omega I was about to control.
“Her singularity produces loaded blood that will deliver rapid cell regeneration, added stamina, and energy. And the investment protocol has been wavered in this case.” He inclined his head. “At my recommendation. General Sherwin agreed. Her control needs to be absolute.”
His eyes glistened, and I fought the urge to strangle the little fucker for real. But I was now feeling a strong sense of anticipation for when Ethan handed her over, so I should probably be thanking him instead.
I took a deep breath and fought to get a handle on the powerful urges running rampant through me. I’d seen plenty of blood in my life, and I’d be the first to admit a good fight made me as horny as the next man, but I still thought that ripping into a woman’s throat was beyond extreme. So why was the idea suddenly intriguing me?
“Won’t it hurt her when I do it?”
“Yes.” The sick bastard didn’t so much as flinch.
I rubbed the back of my neck again. I liked disciplining errant little Omegas, coloring their ass, fucking them raw and marking them. Yes, I loved seeing my marks in their skin—but ripping her throat? That wasn’t a sexual kind of pain.
“You’ll want to do it anyway. It will be instinctive—if she needs you to take from her. If she’s too flush, it can become dangerous and could make her extremely unwell. She will encourage you to bite. She will bleed herself if you don’t.”
I scratched my jaw and tried to be objective. I definitely didn’t like the thought of her taking matters into her own hands. Omegas didn’t get to be in control of anything—for their own good. Who knew what warped attitude it would spawn if I let her bloody her own throat.
Ethan was going to love it, the sick, deviant fucker that he was wouldn’t hesitate. If she needed it, and a doctor here was telling me that she would, I’d work it out.
CHAPTER THREE
They called themselves the Uncorrupted because the virus had not hosted within them.
For better or worse the virus had been released, and a genetic mutation had occurred resulting in the thirteen dynamics, who now made up a large portion of the population.
The Uncorrupted called the war a cleansing. I called it genocide.

I WAS STILL on my knees staring at the sealed drop door when I heard several sets of footsteps approaching, heavy and confident.
Fear held me immobile. I focused on my breathing exercises, the ones I had continuously practiced since the virus revealed me as an Omega. If I didn’t get control of my anxiety, I would go into a flush.
Flushing would make all my problems worse.
“An Omega?” one man asked.
“Looks like one…and smells like one,” another replied. Most dynamics and non-dynamics could recognize an Omega, but there were individual variations as to how much scent could be detected. Omegas did, however, also have physical characteristics, as Alphas did. “Is that blood? You injured, little Omega?”
He was close enough for me to hear his breath through the helmets they wore.
“There was an accident,” I said, my voice steadier than I might have believed possible. “It’s not mine.”
“Test her.”
I felt the sting against the side of my throat as they took a blood sample.
“Confirmed,” one said.
They weren’t going to kill me, and I doubted they would hurt me—yet. Maybe that would come later when the Uncorrupted doctors got their hands on me.
“Hands behind your head.”
I tried to comply with his instruction. I was helpless here whether they tied my wrists or not, and yet both my mind and body rebelled against the request.
I heard laughter, low and full of sinister intent. My hands were tugged roughly above my head. Cold restraints clipped into place before he wrenched me to my feet and turned me around.
A dozen faces studied me, hidden behind their ugly gray helmets. I felt their inspection all the same. They were huge compared to my slight size, but the exoskeleton suits they wore would also make them freakishly strong.
“Pity she’s an Omega. I think we all deserve some entertainment.”
The one holding my arm in a pinching grip said, “We’ve got plenty of entertainment.”
“Yeah, but she’s an Omega,” another said stepping a little closer. I was glad their faces were hidden behind their masks. “I heard they had sweet tasting pussies…why don’t we check and see.”
I flinched. My last tremulous shred of confidence fled with those cold words.
“You really want to lose your balls?” the one fisting my arm said.
Someone chuckled. There was no further discussion. I was marched along corridors once familiar to me that now throbbed with a dark menace.
Someone would come for me, but I hadn’t thought this through. Had I now put other lives at risk? What exactly would they do to rescue me?
What if they considered me not worth the risk? As terrified as I was, I thought that a preferable option. I did not want death—any death—on my hands.
I should have followed the young soldier's orders. I had saved him, but in doing so, I had possibly condemned others to die. I knew better than most that Omegas were wont to make questionable decisions when it came to threats, perceived or real. That terrible virus had much to answer for.
And I hated that, hated that I reacted without logic and that on reflection, my actions might cause harm to others.
I was twenty-five years old when the virus positively hosted. I had worked in the Copper virus research center for two years as part of my undergraduate studies and a further five years post-graduate. Everyone was infected with the virus, but it could take years to reveal—for some people it never did. I was sure the virus would pass me by.
Alphas knew almost immediately; Betas came next.
There were thirteen viral induced dynamics, Alpha through to Mu. And then there was Omega, the last, the final development, and the ones who revealed late. The more common Omegas would reveal by eighteen. Singular Omegas might take another year…or two. No one had ever heard of a person past twenty revealing a dynamic.
I didn’t understand what was wrong with me at first. For all I had dedicated my short adult life to researching the virus, I did not recognize my own signs.
It was when Doctor Tsing commented on how pleasant I smelled that I realized what was happening, what had already happened.
He reported it. I understood why. I had come to love Erison Tsing as a friend, but I hated him that day.
My father had been delighted—proud. All my research accolades meant nothing compared to the results of the test that confirmed my dynamic.
In an instant, my life changed. I was an Omega—the lowliest. I would be protected for my own good. It was like becoming a child again, and my adult rights were stripped away with that single conclusive test.
I was an Omega, a Singular, and the small positive I clung to was that I would never be deployed to the war, and so would never need a Controller.
I was allowed to continue my research, but Doctor Tsing became the new lead because I was an Omega and could no longer be trusted to make the hard, necessary decisions. I was a second-rate citizen in every way that mattered.
Law changes were coming. My father had been hinting that I might need to make adjustments.
I would have wept had I not felt so dead inside. Worries of being paired with an Alpha of my father’s choosing were insignificant in the wake of surviving this attack.
“Shall I put her with the others?” the man holding me asked. We had arrived at the hospital reception. Dozens of soldiers were present along with clusters of terrified citizens who’d had the misfortune to be living within this fallen sector.
The question was directed at another man who had taken his helmet off. I had always imagined monsters under the ant-faced helmets they wore, but he was surprisingly ordinary. Pale-blond hair cropped short and sky-blue eyes that inspected my trembling form. “Omega?” he asked, stepping closer and into my space until I backed into the one who still pinched my arm.
My breath caught, I wanted to sink inside myself, to steady my racing heart, but it was too late.
The flush was upon me.
No, please no, I chanted in my head. But I knew it was too late, and I could feel my body shifting, the heavy thud of blood rushing with my flush. I lowered my lashes. If they saw my dilated pupils, they would think I was high on something.
I was high—on my own blood.
“Yes, an Omega,” he answered himself. “The blood?”
“Not hers,” the other said. “We found her like this at the drop door.”
“Keep her separate,” the unmasked man said. “I’ll report it through to command. They’re fancy clothes. Run her details through the data we have. See if she is anyone important. They don’t let Omegas roam unprotected—I assume her Alpha is dead.”
I could feel the weight of his study and prayed he would not demand to see my eyes. What data did they have? Some sort of dynamic database? And if so, how comprehensive was it?
I was the daughter of a governor and member of the ruling council, and while I led an independent life, my face was known. There might be some among the prisoners who would reveal my identity in the hope of buying themselves favor.
As they led me away, I came to the conclusion that I would not remain anonymous for long.
And after, my predicament would surely be worse than it already was.
CHAPTER FOUR
Ryker
A LINE OF armored vehicles formed at the edge of the Deadball field, ready to roll out to support the sectors where we had lost the automated system defense. Portable floodlights turned night to artificial day, engines growled, and orders were bellowed. People and movers kicked up dust as equipment and troops were loaded ready for deployment.
I would be going in with the sector support teams but would split from the main forces as soon as the doctor was located. Then, either Ethan or I would retrieve her, depending on the situation.
Assuming she could be retrieved.
And I didn’t like to consider the repercussions should the Uncorrupted extract her from this planet. Command was reluctant to make a direct assault until they understood the prisoner situation.
Finding an individual amid this carnage would normally be an impossible undertaking. It still wasn’t going to be easy, but we did have help in the form of a Singular assigned to Hudson’s team.
Some Singulars were excellent trackers of people, and even objects, and people via objects. I wasn’t one for understanding the nuances of their psychic ability, but this Singular had a book belonging to Doctor Brach, and that book provided a link.
I had worked with James Hudson and his team on several occasions, and he was his usual grouchy ass when we met on the Deadball field…and the Singular wasn’t the only Omega in his team.
I’d never met an Omega that didn’t have a certain amount of appeal, but these two were off the charts, and if Hudson’s warning growl was any indication, he was in deep.
I sent a dazzling smile at both women and bit back a chuckle when their pretty little faces flushed.
It wasn’t a sensible thing to do, Alphas were possessive, even during the temporary nature of allocation. I had a suspicion Logan and Hudson were way past temporary, which triggered an instant desire to fuck with them.
Logan and Hudson were not the kind of men one provoked…which made it even more fun.
The one standing beside Hudson was a tiny thing with big cat-green eyes, full lips and long golden-brown hair that had been pulled back into a braid. Her gaze roamed all over me before she realized what she was doing and lowered her lashes. Poor little Omega drew the short straw getting allocated to Hudson.
“I see the rumors are true.” I grinned and winked at Hudson, who was gripping his poor Omega’s throat as he sent a warning growl my way. So pretty, and a Healer and everyone knew that Healers were natural givers. She peeked, and seeing I was staring at her again, her face flushed crimson.
My focus shifted to the Singular beside Logan Harper. She was slightly taller than the little Healer but just as stunning. My inspection stopped at her tits—that had to be a custom suit.
Logan reached over and punched my shoulder when I continued my blatant perusal. “How the fuck did you get point on this?” he asked.
I shrugged, still smirking. “Just messing with you, Harper.” I glanced between Hudson and Logan. “I was told you were both pussy-whipped. And we both know Hudson turns into a—” I raised my hands in surrender and tried to fake innocent when Hudson growled—again. “And I’m not on point alone. Ethan is on the inside.”
One of Hudson’s team made a choking sound.
I laughed. “Yeah, the poor little Donor is in for a rough ride if he’s the one who collects her.”
“Fuck,” Hudson muttered gruffly. “Have you been…ah?” He made a gesture toward his face before dropping his hand with a grimace. “You know…”
Clearly, I wasn’t alone in wondering if I needed sharper teeth.
“Yes.” I grinned, wondering what the rumors were saying about my doctor's singularity. Then I remembered my conversation with the Theta doctor—my grin faded as the predator in me woke up. “We both have. Like I said. It’s going to be rough on her. Tiny little thing. And you know Ethan’s got a reputation for Omega control.” I shrugged. “He’s got to find her first.”
CHAPTER FIVE
Each of the dynamics offered different benefits: intelligence, strength, memory, heightened skills with numbers or art. Not all were useful to the war, but many were, and our governing council used them all with ruthless intent.

THE HOSPITAL FOYER was a bright, spacious hub connecting the various departments, with sweeping windowed walls facing onto a skycar port. The entrance housed several supporting shops that were open around the clock, including a cafe. I’d stopped by that cafe on many occasions to get my caffeine fix.
