“This is how we celebrate every victory, and it just fucking feels right. But before I get into how much I love my wife; we have one more introduction to make.” I glance around the room until I find the face I’m looking for. “We have another brother to introduce tonight.”
Banger grabs Lucky by the shoulder and pushes him toward the front of the room at the same time Ace joins me with a brand new kutte in his hands.
“Ladies and Brothers, put your fucking hands together for the newest brother of the Reckless Souls MC, Lucky!”
Everyone whistles and cheers loudly as Ace holds up the kutte. With a smile on his face, he slips it over Lucky’s shoulders. “Welcome, brother. Officially.”
Lucky wears the biggest fucking smile I’ve ever seen, and I’m proud of him and who he’s become.
Aria stands in the corner with Arturo, Geoffrey, and Benedicto, the bitchy princess with her stupid dog, trying like hell to look like she’s not interested in any of this.
Yep, the whole crew is here for one reason and one reason only, and it has absolutely nothing to do with Valentina and me in our marriage. Oh no, this is all a show, put on for Arturo and his fucking son, Benedicto.
We’re here to ease his mind. It’s a party, and no one fucking parties like the Reckless Souls MC, but it’s also a job with one goal.
To sell the fiction that we won’t ruin the fucking LTC for what they did to Devon and Jordi.
As the crowd congratulates Lucky, I step away from the mic and head over to Ace.
“You good, man?” Ace claps me on the back and grips my shoulders. Our gazes collide as the women dance around us, oblivious to the abrupt change in atmosphere.
“I’m fucking great,” I assure him with a smile, though my gaze lingers over his shoulder where Arturo appears to be holding court. Happy and so fucking smug I want to bash in his head.
“One of those motherfuckers is dead. His daughter is mine. And the other son is easy pickin’s. Shit worked out better than we planned.”
A smile spreads across Ace’s usually serious face and we stand there, silently celebrating our success. “Fuckin-A, brother.”
“Soon enough, Rojas will regret ever fuckin’ with us in the first place.”
