Queen of Chaos (Kings of Chaos Book 2), page 7
“Yasmin wanted something more. She didn’t care who it was with, as long as they were a King. So she did her best to trap one of us, hoping that maybe love would follow. She ended up pregnant.” My body went tense. “And before you even go down that road, it was not my baby. Like I’ve told you, I always used protection. You’re the only one that I’ve never wanted anything between us.”
I breathed a bit easier knowing he didn’t have a child out there with some other woman.
“Ok, so what happened?” I knew she didn’t get the happy ever after she wanted, that much was obvious.
“She didn’t get what she wanted. My club brother wouldn’t be tied down, so instead of sticking around taking responsibility for the baby, he took off running, leaving us all behind. I tried to help out, offer her support, money, whatever she needed but Wilson refused it all. Told me he didn’t want anything else from us Kings, that we had done enough, that we had ruined his daughter.” I didn’t agree with what she had done, trying to trap someone into being with her. It was never going to work out well but Talon’s club brother should have stuck around and done the right thing. He didn’t have to be with her but he still should have been in the child’s life. Knowing that Talon had offered help made my heart swell, he didn’t have to but I knew he would have seen that child as a nephew or a niece, seeing them as family.
Though I wasn’t surprised at Wilson’s action’s either, he was angry and I don’t blame him. I just wish he had given the Kings a chance to help. Ok, maybe the baby’s dad wasn’t around but there were still people here that would have helped.
“Is he the one that told you I was going to get bored of you and throw you away?” I had been trying to keep that information from Talon, I knew he was furious that someone had put doubt in my mind when we were still finding our way together. I couldn’t lie now, we were being honest.
“Yes, but we sorted it out, so don’t go saying or doing anything. He had his reasons apparently.” He took a deep breath and sighed.
“I get where he was coming from, he was looking out for you but it still pissed me off.” Of course it did, he was protective of what we shared, not wanting anything to get in between us. It probably didn’t help that Wilson thought I needed protecting from Talon. I mean he was one of the few people I would always be safe with, no matter what.
“I know that’s not going to happen to me, you made it very clear that you’re not about to let me go.” I remember the way he had come to the bar to show me that I was his and he was mine and that was never going to change.
“Damn right, you’re mine.” Smirking over at my possessive man.
“I mean, you can always remind me again.” His eyes lit up at the thought of it, loving the idea of showing just who I belong to once more.
“Is that what you want? Me to make it clear that you’re mine and nothing is going to change that?” Biting down on my lip, I was already pulsing with excitement. My heart was thumping away, hoping he gave me what I was craving.
“And if it is?” He didn’t need to hear anything else, that was answer enough. He was on me, scooping me out of my chair and spinning us around until we reached the kitchen island. Resting me on the counter as his lips collided with mine in a demanding kiss, one that took all the air out of my lungs.
My hands pulled at his clothes whilst his did the same, both of us needing the other naked. Talon pushed me down until my back met the cold marble, sending a shock all the way up my spine, making me gasp.
“I don’t want you to ever doubt what this is between us.” He picked up my hand and made sure my engagement ring caught the light. “You’re mine, in every single way.”
He would hear no argument from me.
“Prove it.” Tearing my panties off of me, leaving me bare and spread wide open on our kitchen island.
“Two very dangerous words, love.” They were but I loved what would come next.
He rested my ankles on his shoulders, his hands running down my legs, igniting a yearning that took hold of me. Drowning me in it, smothering me under its intensity. Gentle, tender kisses were pressed against my ankles as Talon held my eye contact, making me gulp under the savage fire that burned brightly in those emerald eyes.
“I’m a selfish man Hazel, a jealous man, a possessive man, especially when it comes to you.” Didn’t I know it, it made me so damn happy to know I had this effect on him.
“Show me Talon, show me how possessive you are.” A wicked smirk spread across his face, sinful things playing out in his mind. Oh, I was in trouble and I couldn’t be more excited about it.
His fingers dipped inside of me then, finding me slick and hot. More than ready for my man, eager to have him buried inside of me.
“Keep your eyes on me Hazel, watch what I’m doing to you. I don’t want you to miss a moment.” Slipping another finger as he curled them within my inner walls, making me wriggle against his hand. Whimpering when he added another finger, stirring up a firestorm within me. I needed more—more friction—more pressure—just more.
“This pussy is mine, say it Hazel.” I shivered from his devilish demands.
“It’s yours.” Tutting at me.
“What’s mine?” Licking my lips as I watched him work me up into a heated frenzy, feeling myself growing wetter by the second. A gentle pinch of my clit had me gasping for air. “What’s mine, love?”
“My pussy.” Smiling down at me, another flick of my sensitive bud and I was crying out. Coming over his fingers, coating them in my juices. He barely had to do anything and I was a mess for him—literally.
“That’s my good girl.” His fingers left me, my ankles dropped from his shoulders. I watched as he grabbed a chair and dragged it across the floor, hearing it scrape along the wooden floors. Setting it in front of me, holy shit, I could already tell where this was going.
“Talon.” He sat down, eyes trained on mine. He looked like a panther right now, a predator ready to pounce on his prey. Scooting closer, he hoisted my legs over his shoulders once again. Turning to the side, he left soft teasing kisses over my inner thighs. Could he feel me shaking? I’m pretty sure he could.
“Are you going to ever doubt what I feel for you?” Shaking my head. I would never doubt this and more importantly, I would never doubt him.
“No—never.” Grabbing my hips, he yanked me to the edge of the island. Keeping those large rough hands on my hips, making me sure I’m not going to be escaping anytime soon.
“That’s the right answer, now for your reward for such sweet words.” He dove in, burying his face in my most intimate area, devouring me. His mouth was ferocious today, this was no gentle, good loving with his tongue. No, this was fierce, ravenous consuming my soul as his mouth went to work. I moaned as his tongue lapped at my very core, drinking me down. Groaning as he ate me out.
“Talon—oh god.” My hands reached out and grabbed fistfuls of his hair, holding him right there, needing him right there. The idea of him leaving me had me whimpering, not wanting to lose the feel of his hunger.
He growled, making me glance down to meet his glowing eyes. I took a shaky breath, he looked dangerous. Deadly. Like if anyone stopped him right now, he would kill them.
One of his hands crawled up my body and cupped my breast, running his thumb over my taut nipple at the same time as he flattened his tongue within my sex making my back arch of the marble counter.
“Oh fuck.” I whined as he kept doing it, over and over again. I writhed against his face as he drove me closer to the edge, ready to have me screaming out for him. The sensations that were flooding me right now were insane, I couldn’t think straight.
“Come for me Hazel.” He mumbled as he lifted his face away from me for a brief moment before he returned to eating me out. It took a few more strokes of his tongue before I lost myself to him, giving him just what he wanted. He held me there as my body shook and trembled through my intense orgasm. Sparks of random colours flew behind my eyelids, danced as I floated amongst them. Revelling in this heavenly bliss that Talon had given me.
“You’re so beautiful when you come.” I heard his raspy words as he watched me. Peeking down at him, I found his eyes fixated on me, admiring me as I came undone for him. I could see his lips were glistening and that only made me shiver for him. Pleased that he had me on his mouth, on his tongue.
Ok, I was just as possessive as him.
“Talon, please get inside me.” He grinned up at me, loving the way I begged for him.
“Happily.” Standing up now, he kicked the chair out of the way. Pushing his jeans off of his hips, revealing his rock-hard cock to me. He teased his cock a few times with his own hand, liking the way I watched him.
“Who does this cock belong to Hazel?” I licked my lips at his naughty question.
“Me, it belongs to me. Now get inside me.” Making him chuckle as I staked my claim on him.
“That’s right, love. It’s all yours.” Without any hesitation, he slammed into me. Filling me up with his impressive length, leaving no room for any more of him. I couldn’t breathe, I had to cling onto him as he began a vicious rhythm. Fucking me just how I needed him to. Claiming me as his and letting me claim him. He was as much mine, as I was his. Neither of us would share, we were territorial people and that’s just how we liked it.
This was how we spent the rest of the day. Fucking, claiming—loving.
So, all in all, it was a pretty perfect day.
Chapter Six
When Talon was happy that Paradiso’s was safe again, I was allowed to go back to work. Red had been in and updated the security system, putting in more cameras and tougher locks with codes on some doors. Apparently, there was a new alarm as well that had buttons throughout the entire bar that once pressed, would send an alert to numerous members of the Kings, alerting them what was going on. I know one of them was Talon, I think it was Gunner, Cole, Red and then it was in the main office at the clubhouse so it could alert anyone there.
Was it a lot? Yes, but it was all for my safety and for everyone else here. Nathan was spiralling out of control. All his plans were failing and now he was desperate. It was dangerous and we had to be extra careful.
Talon had taken me to see Toes as well now that he was awake and allowed visitors. He wasn’t in a good way and my heart sunk when I saw him in that hospital but I know he will be ok. It will take time but he will get there, we would all make sure of it. He must have been feeling better as he was making jokes about how the ladies are going to love his new pirate look, what with the eye patch and missing ear, he looked dangerous and women loved that. According to Toes anyway, I had no doubt he would have women still lining up trying to get his attention.
I don’t know how long he was going to be in there, no one knew. It depended on how quickly he healed and the doctors deemed him ok to send home. From what Talon said, he is going to be living with Winnie until he’s all better. She had told everyone that’s what was happening. She had the spare room and he couldn’t be on his own, plus I think she liked the idea of fussing over someone. Toes was way too eager to get home, all he could talk about was how well he’s going to be fed while he’s there. He wasn’t wrong.
So, here I was, another day of training new staff. Lucas was still here, he was getting better but was still accident prone. We tried to keep him away from the cocktails and the expensive shit, hoping that would be enough to appease Talon.
Georgia hadn’t returned thankfully, I did not want to deal with her. We had a new girl starting at some point, Jill I think her name is. Today we had Minty here as well, he was good. Done bar work before which Talon was happy about, we were as well.
Talon had ridden out early this morning to go speak with the Pres of the Madmen, said they had stuff to discuss. I assumed it was about Torch and the Hounds. It was possible if I asked later, he would fill me in. He was getting good at letting me in.
“Hey, erm you think you can manage the kitchen for a bit? I got to nip out for a bit to pick up my mum.” Zach nervously asked, trying his best not to look at Jane.
“Yeah, sure.” I wasn’t a pro but I could do the basics. Plus, I doubt I would get any orders, we were pretty quiet right now.
“If you need me Jane, I’ll be in there, just shout.” She would be fine, she was enjoying herself. Lucas and Minty were keeping her entertained, making friends already it would seem.
“I got it handled out here.” Zach rushed off, though he glanced at Jane one last time, pissed off at the attention she was getting. He was lucky Cole wasn’t here, god, he had it bad for her but he wouldn’t say a single thing about it. Wouldn’t act on it even though I told him he should. I’m pretty sure Jane was wishing he would do something about it. I felt like bashing their heads together and making them see sense.
As headed into the kitchen, I nodded in Tank and Trigger’s direction. They seemed pretty comfortable, I’m sure they would come check in every so often.
Pottering around the kitchen, I did some prep while I was waiting for an order. Though none come through.
My phone pinged and caught my attention.
Keep the guys close to you today.
It was Talon, obviously worrying about me. Had something happened to make him worry like this? It was bad enough before but judging from this message, something had changed—worsened by the sounds of it.
What’s going on? Is everything ok?
My nerves spiked, panicked that he knew something. Like he had been informed that some shit was about to come crashing down around us.
It’s probably nothing, I’m just being cautious.
It was more than that, it was something. He had information, as if he had been warned danger was approaching.
Will you tell me later?
Obviously, it wasn’t something he wanted to say over text and that was fine but I would want to know when I saw him. I hope he was prepared for that.
I will, love. I promise. Just be careful for me, you’re so damn important to me.
His sweet words left me a tingling mess.
I’m always careful.
Well, I tried to be. It didn’t always work out for me, trouble tended to find its way to my door.
I’ll be back soon, stay out of trouble.
Putting my phone, I took a deep breath. I didn’t like the not knowing, it ate at my soul. Left me fearing where the threat was, because there was a threat, I was just unaware of it at this present moment. Was it Nathan or the Hounds? Or maybe it was someone entirely different.
God, I couldn’t keep thinking about this. It was going to drive me crazy.
Turning up the music, I got on with my work. Doing my best to keep myself busy, needing to be kept busy. Otherwise my brain would start overthinking everything, thinking the worse and that would do no one any good.
So, I let myself get lost for a couple of hours. It would do me good. Distract me from the possible threat that was heading my way.

Before I knew it, Zach was back and I was out front with Jane and the newbies. I could hear them arguing about something but I didn’t even register, I was too wrapped up in my own head. Wondering when Talon was going to walk through that door. I asked Trigger and Tank if they had heard anything but they hadn’t, apart from a text earlier about they better be keeping a really fucking close eye on me. Oh and if anything happened to me then Talon was going to murder them brutally. Though I think he may have gone into more detail than they cared to share with me.
“I dare you to ask her.” I heard them mumbling between themselves. They were obviously trying to encourage something but I don’t know.
“I wouldn’t if I were you, unless you want your dick cut off.” That was definitely Jane warning them against whatever it was they were planning.
“You never know unless you ask.” Was that Lucas? He must be conspiring with Minty, I already knew this was going to be bad. “Go on, what’s the worst that can happen?”
“I think you’ll find out if you’re not careful.” Jane scoffed at them, doing her best to deter them.
I heard someone heading my way, edging closer to me. Ignoring them the best I could, I carried doing a stock count. Hoping they change their minds and leave me be.
“Hey Hazel.” Glancing to my right, I found Minty leaning against the back of the bar, smiling down at me with his warm blue eyes. Swiping his chestnut hair back so it didn’t fall into his eyes that were trained onto me.
“Minty, can I help you with something?” Focusing back on my clipboard as I carried on with what I was doing.
“Well, I was wondering if maybe you would like to get a drink some time?” Arching an eyebrow at I glared at him.
“You know I’m with Talon, right?” And he was playing with fire right now, if any of the Kings heard him, he was a dead man walking.
“I mean Lucas kind of said he didn’t think it was that serious.” He was either messing with Minty or he was just clueless, I didn’t know which it was but it was going to get them both in trouble.
“I’m going to pretend I didn’t just hear that.” A fierce voice rumbled behind me. Spinning around, I found Talon stood there. His green eyes were dark as they narrowed on Minty. I could see the ferocious intent as he glared at him, thinking of all the ways he could do serious damage to Minty for even thinking me and Talon weren’t serious.
“I erm—I thought—” Talon stepped up to me now, his arm snuck around my waist and pulled me against him. Never taking his eyes off of Minty though.
“I know what you thought. Hazel is my queen so walk away before I start breaking bones.” I didn’t see Minty hurry away but I know he did, basically running back to the others with his tail between his legs. Afraid he was about to be tortured.
“I will kill him if he looks in your direction again.” I rested my hands on Talon’s chest, feeling his tense muscles beneath my fingertips.
“I think he got the message.” There would be no more confusion, Talon had made it very clear that this was more than just a fling or a pass time. I was off-limits, I was his queen. God, I loved it when he called me that.
