“Exactly,” Wren said, with a smile. “You get me.” She hesitated, then switched back to a more serious tone. “I’ll never be a big fan of technology. I think it has the ability to distract us from life. Filter it, and separate us from the world around us. But I do like communicating, sharing ideas, and learning new things. I’m struggling with how to incorporate this new stuff into my life without losing sight of myself, but I really do appreciate this new world you’ve shown me.”
Gina smiled and placed her palm on Wren’s cheek. “We’re good for each other,” she said. “I really believe that.”
Wren nodded, unable to put into words how much it meant to have Gina back and to see hope for a future with them together, sharing their lives in new and unexpected ways. She kissed her again, letting her body communicate her love in a way nothing else could.
