VAS (The V Games Book 3), page 17
“Let him come for it then.” Andru’s eyes flare with liquid fury and fear roots itself inside me. I don’t want anyone to get hurt by Molokh because of me.
Ven clasps his hand on Vlad’s shoulder, making Vlad jolt. “We make a deal with the devil.”
The air crackles with intensity.
“Oh, and whose soul are you offering up?” Vlad asks, clearly intrigued.
“I’m thinking we offer the only thing he will want. Shares back,” Ven says simply. “Some of mine and some of yours. You know your father has only cared about The Games. He lives for that shit. Make him back off Andru and Darya by giving him something he desperately wants.”
“You’re giving the Vasilievs more power by doing that,” Diana warns her husband, joining us in the cold. “There’ll be two of them with shares.”
“But Darya will be safe,” Vas reminds his sister. “Ven is right. It’s the only thing Yuri will want more than revenge,” he adds, imploring her.
She purses her lips, shoots me an apologetic look, and sighs.
“Why are you willing to give up anything?” Vlad asks, and Ven laughs. It’s tired, but honest.
“I don’t give a fuck about shares, Vlad. No matter the outcome of Darya’s blood. One way or another, we’re all connected. Be it through blood or marriage or decades of friendship.” He smiles, squeezing Vlad’s shoulder. “We’ve all lost too much to lose more.”
“Equal thirds,” Vlad says, nodding. “My father will have his hands back in the pot, but he won’t be a controlling shareholder.”
Andru smiles. “But when he passes, you will.”
My heart pounds with the intensity of the men standing before me.
“Then let’s spilt them four ways, Andru. Yuri will be forced to put a lid on his anger if you’re a business partner,” Ven quips with a smirk.
“You want to part with that many shares?” Vlad asks, suspicion laced in his tone.
“I don’t care how many shares it takes. Let the old men run the bull pen. It was never what I intended to own.” Ven wraps an arm around Diana’s waist, pulling her against him. She relaxes in his hold, her hand resting over his chest.
“Fine,” Vlad relents.
“And if she’s not yours, Andru?” Vas challenges. “Are you going to let sleeping dogs lie?”
“I would never hurt her,” Andru snarls, disgust in his tone. “She looks…”
He shoots a sad look my way. I look just like her. Someone he loved. “If they come back negative, you are still Vera’s child. I’ll do what I can to keep Yuri’s wrath from you. You’ll never have to fear mine.”
Tears once again burn in my eyes. “Thank you,” I choke.
“Yes. Thank you.” Vas nods.
“I’d like to sit with you one day and hear more about her,” I tell Andru. “Whether or not you’re my father.”
Zahkar winks at me, and Rodion smiles. My heart expands as I hope they are my brothers.
“I could tell you about her too,” Vlad tells me, his voice fierce, but there is no missing the hurt in it.
“I’d like that.” I smile at my brother.
“That settles it,” Vlad confirms to everyone. “I’m going to go see my family. We’ll sort this out by the end of the week. Until then,” he says, looking at Vas, “keep my little sister safe.”
“No one will ever lay a hand on her,” Vas vows in a guttural tone.
Vas and I share a secret look. His expression promises only his hands are for me—and he plans to do not-so-innocent things with them.
I blush and look away.
Creamy toned legs grip around my waist tight as I buck my hips forward. Sweat coats our skin in the lube of our bodies, making my grip on her ass slip.
We chuckle between kisses. Our need overtook us both while training.
In between training Alyona, I’ve been sparring with Darya to teach her some basic self-defense, but we never manage to get through an entire session without sexual tension burning us both up to the point of explosion.
Wrapping my arms around Darya’s back, I move us from the corridor wall and into our bedroom. I moved us to the apartment next door so we and Alyona could both get some privacy. Dropping my ass down on the mattress causes Darya’s breath to catch from the impact. I’m still balls deep inside her tight, hot pussy.
I stay sitting up, letting my little night mistress take the reins. Her moans drive me fucking crazy. I never want to stop hearing her pleasure, feeling her hot pussy around my dick.
“Should we be quieter?” she pants, grinding on my dick like she’s a fucking pro.
“No, just fuck me, beautiful, loud and proud.” I grin wickedly, and she giggles, but it’s cut off by her body tensing and her orgasm taking over.
“Vas, Vas, oh yes,” she calls out as I tilt my hips at the right angle to hit her little bundle of nerves, sending her spiraling her over the edge.
Her tits jiggle with her bouncing that only picks up speed to chase her release. I grip her hips and guide her movements until I’m pumping my release into her hot core. My abs tense so tight, I see new muscles forming from all the fucking we’ve been doing ever since getting back to Moscow a month ago.
Both Vlad and Andru have given Darya space since the results came back that she is in fact Andru’s child. I think it came more as a shock to Rodion and Zahkar than Darya, but having so much change in such a small amount of time, Darya asked to stay here in Moscow for a while longer, and with little choice, the others agreed.
Her new brothers have made her more than welcome, taking their roles in stride. They adore Darya, and she them. Timofei is also her brother, but he’s been off dealing with Vika. One day, she can build a relationship with him too.
“Should we be doing this with the fight happening tonight?” Darya groans against my chest, her body exhausted and spread out over mine. My dick is still inside her twitching, preparing for another round.
“I think it’s only soccer players who aren’t allowed to fuck before matches.”
Sitting up, she bites her bottom lip and wiggles her ass. “So we can do that again?”
Damn, she never stops being cute.
Darting forward, I grip her body and flip us, grinding down into her warm, needy flesh.
“Fuck yeah we can do it again.”
The club is packed to the rafters with people tonight. Word is getting out that I’m fighting, and not just anyone, but a well-known fighter earning himself a reputation in the underground scene. I’m fighting tonight for Rodion and Zahkar. They want me to put this prick in his place, and I will. Skull is a deadly fighter, so I’ve been training to prepare myself for creating some carnage.
“My blood is roaring in my veins,” Darya breathes, her eyes wide and hands jittery. She’s nervous.
“Baby, it’s going to be fine, fun even. Why are you worried?” I offer a private smile reserved just for her.
Shaking her head, she strokes her hands down my shirt. “No, I’m not worried, I’m…pumped. I can’t wait to see you fight and get all sweaty and then…” She’s almost panting now.
“And then what?” I taunt, licking my lips.
“And then we can do the sex stuff.” She blushes, and I can’t help myself. I grab her face and crash my lips down on hers. By the time I pull away, she’s out of breath and unstable on the stupid high shoes Alyona bought her—with my credit card—along with a pair of “fighting boots” that looked more like runway fucking boots for herself.
“I fight, then we fuck,” I promise with a devilish smirk.
Her eyes gloss over with desire, and I place her in front of me to hide my hard cock straining the zipper of my slacks when Alyona waltzes over to us. She’s wearing a barely-there dress, showing off all her newly acquired muscles. She’s completely healed from her fight and has been back to training for the past three weeks. I admire her dedication, but worry about her skill. She’s no Diana, but it’s still the early days.
“Do you two ever stop fucking to eat or sleep?” she brazenly blurts out.
“I eat.” I grin, relishing the flood of images of eating Darya’s pussy now occupying my thoughts.
“Yeah, don’t I know it. The walls are thin.” She winks down at Darya, who has gone a bright shade of pink.
“Drink up, it’s going to be a good night.” Zahkar joins us, bringing a barmaid with a tray of drinks. I refuse mine, needing a clear head for later, but I hand Darya hers. She’s taken a liking to the new Rainbow Vodka. Her brothers have made it the club’s special, and it’s already taking off. Diana knows business, and the cousins know clubs. They both love alcohol. It’s a perfect pairing.
“The club is at full capacity, both upstairs and down,” Zahkar announces, raising his glass to me. “We won’t forget this, Vas.”
I know they won’t. These two are like brothers to me. Offering to fight this prick for them is nothing. I owe them so much more. They’ve always had my back before my name was anything. We’re family.
“I’m going to go get ready,” I tell him, gesturing with a subtle nod down at Darya who has taken a seat with Alyona in the VIP section of the bar.
“I won’t let her out of my sight,” he vows. “She’s my baby sister after all.” He pats my shoulder, and I go to my girl to give her a kiss and let her know I’ll be back in ten.
Music pulses though the room as the liquor loosens the tension riddling my body.
I know Vas will win his fight, and I know it’s a sin to like violence and sex, but there’s something about the two that send me crazy with want, need, desire. I come alive when I see Vas all sweaty, his muscles firm and flexing as he maneuvers his body with precise movements, power surrounding him like an entity haunting his essence. The spike of adrenaline, fear, and excitement combined at the prospect of watching him fight makes me feel almost as high as Zahkar’s drugs made me feel.
“Baby sister, tell your brother what you want for your birthday?” Zahkar flashes me a smile that seems reserved only for me.
I’d never had family, and when I thought about what a family would be like, my imagination didn’t do the reality of my brothers justice. Vlad, Rodion, Zahkar. I’m looking forward to getting to know Timofei too. I was sad to learn I had another brother who died in The Games. The way Vlad speaks of Viktor, I know I would have liked him. Family and love now eclipse the darkness of my past. The empty loneliness that once saturated me is mere memories from a previous life. From a girl I don’t recognize anymore. Even before the results were confirmed, the twins offered me a home, comfort, safety, siblinghood.
“Chanel,” Alyona pipes up. “Anything Chanel.” She eyes her glass of cucumber water and frowns at it as she swigs the contents.
She’s been on a strict diet and training routine that doesn’t allow for alcohol or too many nights at the club. Vas told her to come tonight because it’s good for her to watch him fight. To learn from him.
“And what is Chanel, little sister?” Zahkar challenges, amusement alight in his eyes as he looks over to Alyona. He and Rodion have been giving me made up birthdays for the last two weeks to make up for the ones they missed. They’ve already bought me jewelry with colorful stones embedded within gold and clothes beyond anything I could ever get around to being able to wear in my lifetime.
“Chanel is perfume,” I state proudly. Irina wears Chanel Number Five. I saw it in her belongings once.
“Ha!” Alyona snaps. “Although, I meant the clothes,” Alyona adds, shrugging.
“Here.” Zahkar hands me a box wrapped neatly with a bow.
“You don’t need to buy me things,” I say shyly. “Your love is more than I could ever need.”
“And you have it,” he says, his eyes glinting with a protectiveness I often see in Vas’s gaze. “You are a blessing to us, and we’re so grateful to have you.” He sits next to me and takes my hand, squeezing. “And this is what we like to do for each other. We’re flashy assholes. Indulge us.”
Rodion joins us, a line forming across his brow.
“Is everything okay?” both Alyona and I ask in unison.
“Yes,” he mutters absently. “Open your present. Happy birthday.”
Pulling the paper away, I rattle the box to hear a light tapping. I open the lid to find a key sitting inside.
“You bought her a Mercedes?” Alyona screeches over my shoulder.
I look between my brothers and her. I don’t know what a Mercedes is.
“It’s a car, Little V,” Alyona patiently explains. “A fucking expensive one if I know your brothers.”
“We want to be the ones to teach you to drive,” Rodion informs me. There’s almost a plea in his tone.
Rising to my feet, I take them both into my arms, getting to my tiptoes to reach them. “I love it. Thank you.”
A chuckle rattles Zahkar’s chest, vibrating through me.
“What’s funny?” I ask, standing back from them.
“You haven’t seen it yet.”
Shrugging my shoulder, I hold up the key. “Just knowing you want to teach me is gift enough. I can’t wait to learn from you both.”
“Well, look who got let off her leash,” a familiar voice barks.
Ivan Voskoboynikov comes into view as my brothers turn to see who has joined us.
“This is a private area,” a broad security guard informs him, but Rodion raises his hand to allow him inside the VIP space.
“I didn’t think Vas would ever let you out of his sight.” Ivan leers, his eyes lingering on my breasts as his gaze sweeps over me.
“She’s with her brothers, and they don’t take kindly to people speaking to her in that tone,” Zahkar growls.
“This is what I came over to tell you about,” Rodion informs our brother.
“Ivan, shouldn’t you be at Yuri’s mansion training?” Alyona stands, folding her arms across her chest, making her boobs almost topple out of her top.
“Fuck Yuri,” her brother growls at her. “He found himself a new fighter. One you boys may have heard of actually.”
“What the fuck are you talking about?” Zahkar grinds out.
My insides begin to collide. The air is changing, and I don’t like the dark look on Ivan’s face. His eyes keep landing on me with intent.
“Skull,” Rodion grunts, shaking his head. “I just got a call. He’s not coming tonight. Yuri has acquired him for The Games.”
Just as Ivan steps closer and swipes my drink from the table, I see Vas making his way over to us from the elevator. A sense of relief washes over me. I almost sag into his embrace when he reaches for me.
“What’s going on? Are you okay?” he asks me, checking my features for a clue to how I’m feeling.
Ivan snorts. “I should have known you wouldn’t be far away. You’re like her lapdog.”
“What the hell are you doing here, Ivan?” Alyona snaps. “You’re drunk and being a dick.”
Reaching out fast, he clasps a hand around Alyona’s throat before using momentum to force her backwards with a hard shove. “Shut the fuck up, you little whore. You look like a fucking skank, and no doubt these two sickos have made you into one too,” he sneers. “You’re no sister of mine.”
My brothers grab him and throw his butt into a chair.
“You better calm the fuck down before your mouth and actions cost you more than you can pay,” Rodion warns, his face twisted in fury.
Laughing like a crazy person, Ivan holds up his middle finger. “Fuck you, assholes.”
I drop to the couch next to Alyona to inspect her neck for marks, but she leaps from her seat toward Ivan, screaming at him. “You fucking bastard piece of shit.” Her hands flail as my brothers hold onto her slender frame, keeping her from exacting damage on her brother.
“Fuck off.” Ivan waves a dismissive hand at her.
“Screw you, Ivan. I fucking hate you.” Alyona sniffs, pulling free from my brothers and storming off toward the private elevators to our apartments.
“She’s weak, Vas. What have you been teaching her?” Ivan chuckles darkly, his eyes still cast on me.
“She’s going to surprise you one day,” Vas sneers, “and kick your fucking ass.”
“She’s no Diana. No matter how much you train her. Diana was a fluke. She got lucky. Alyona will die in those Games. How is your other sister anyway? It was touch and go there when that gun went off.”
Vas moves so fast, he’s otherworldly as he leans over Ivan like a roaring dragon about to breathe fire.
“Your fucking tone sounds threatening, Voskoboynikov,” Vas snarls. “Don’t make me embarrass you in front of everyone by knocking you on your ass.”
Holding his hands up in surrender, Ivan begins to chuckle darkly. The pulse in my chest is rapid. There’s danger in the air, and it’s intoxicating.
“Easy,” Ivan rumbles. “I would never hurt sweet Irina. The gunshot was to calm the situation.”
“Motherfucker,” Rodion barks. “You shot that gun? Do you have a death wish?”
“Vas?” I call out, fear beginning to crawl over my skin like a virus. No good can come from this—not here—not like this.
“Vas…” I try again.
“Yeah, baby, I’m coming. Vlad will deal with him when he hears this news.”
I start to walk away, with Darya in my grip, when Ivan’s spiteful voice cuts through the music, whipping its way toward my girl.
“My brother fucked your girl, Volkov,” he sneers.
My heart slams into my ribcage as my feet falter.
Da-dum. Da-dum. Da-dum.
I don’t release Darya, but slowly turn my head toward Ivan. Violence ripples through me like a dark entity begging to be released into the wild. “The fuck you say?”
This asshole must want to die tonight. He came here to taunt, and when we didn’t bite, he went for the jugular—my jugular—my angel. Wrong move, motherfucker.
“I know all about how he fucked her because weak Yuri Vasiliev couldn’t get his dick up.”
Da-dum. Da-dum. Da-dum.
