longing and discovers that the people of Cresida wish him to reclaim his
family’s place in the northern marches. The local strongman, Belderag,
killed Greyrawk’s grandfather and took claim to the Greyrawk land. He
will not permit Greyrawk to return and dilute his control over north
Cresida. The northern area of Cresida was once home to an ancient race
called Celaeri, who ruled the land and enslaved humans. Their shadows
are rising again—and they claim Greyrawk to be a descendant. Where
should Greyrawk’s loyalty lie? The Celaeri return to Cresida like a
wind, cold and biting, indifferent to the suffering of humans.

The legendary Talos Company mercenaries have crossed the sea from
Anavar to Amloth once more, but instead of Eslenda they go east into
Cresida to assist Ian Greyrawk, a descendant of Loric Greyrawk, who is
half Celaeri and a member of the company.
