“And when the hell have I ever done that? I’m waiting for you to make the first move.”

Mike barked at them from beside Emyr, “If no one moves, I’ll get in there to make you move!”

Trent moved closer to Girish, his eyes never leaving Girish’s body. “This is your grand plan? It’s pretty dull, to be honest.”

“I haven’t begun yet. This is me trying to unnerve you.”

Trent advanced at Girish at full force.

Girish grinned and held his ground, waiting for Trent to get there.

Emyr bugged Mike to intercede as it looked like Trent was going to knock Girish out going that speed, but Mike ignored him.

Girish pulled something out of his pants to stop Trent dead in his tracks.

Trent gaped at the package in Girish’s hands. Before he had the chance to exclaim what it was, Girish grabbed Trent and flipped him.

He looked at the package and stared up at Girish in confusion.

Mike groaned and covered his face with both hands. Emyr doubled over, laughing hard enough to shake his chubby form.

“That didn’t count,” said Trent, snatching the package out of Girish’s hands and heading out of the ring.

Girish laughed. “Yes, it does! If you can distract me with a smile several years ago, then I can distract you with Fazer chocolate.”

Trent moaned when he stuffed a piece of it into his mouth. “No one can compete with old-style Finnish chocolate.”

Mike grabbed Girish’s arm when he walked out of the ring. “Explain to me why you even needed me down here to make a mockery out of fighting?”

Girish motioned to Trent. “He would’ve known something was up if I hadn’t.”

Trent nodded, eating another piece of chocolate and speaking with his mouth full, “He does have a point.”

Mike stomped away, grumbling about being surrounded by idiots.

Emyr grinned at Girish. “I, for one, thought it was hilarious. I missed out on seeing Trent do that earlier attempt, but I’m glad I saw this one. Now we can cure all of Trent’s asshole behaviors with chocolate.”

Trent flipped Emyr off and went back to his chocolate bar.

Girish laughed and shuffled over to Trent. “Are you going to save me some?”

“Not on your life; not after a cheap trick like that.”

Girish wrapped his arms around Trent’s middle to hold him close. “Even if I begged?”

Trent’s eyebrow rose as he put another piece of chocolate in his mouth. “I’d pay to see that.”

  “Would you now?”

Trent wiggled his eyebrows and ate another piece of chocolate.

Girish swooped in to capture Trent’s lips, tasting the rich chocolate on them. Trent moaned around the kiss, snuggling into Girish’s arms and kissing back. Their tongues fought over the last morsel of chocolate melting in Trent’s mouth.

Trent pulled back when heard a buzz nearby. He glanced around the room with a frown. “Do you hear that?”

Girish shrugged at him. “Hear what?”

Trent wiggled out of Girish’s arms and searched the area until he stopped short in front of the washing machine.

There on top was a small cell phone buzzing.

Trent picked up the cell phone and looked at the small display. He gaped at it.

Girish shuffled over to Trent’s position. “What is it?”

Trent turned the phone around so Girish could see it.

Girish tilted his head to the side. “Is that three dots? What kind of message is that?”

“This can’t be. There’s no way that’s possible.” Trent backed away from Girish.

“What is it? Is there something I should know about three dots?”

Trent turned to look Girish in the eyes. “That’s what I sent Emyr to trigger the program to erase our records. Why is it appearing on the phone now?”

Girish was about to say something when he heard laughter upstairs. He pointed to it, “I have a feeling they’re playing a joke on us.”

“Ok you assholes who set this up?” Trent shouted, while storming up the basement stairs and bursting through the door.

Kipper glanced up at Trent. “What the hell are you talking about?”

Trent walked further into the room and stopped short at the scene in the middle of the room involving Emyr and Mike.

Kipper laughed at Trent’s shocked expression. “It was a dare. Apparently, Emyr is more agile than we thought.”

They twisted around each other like an odd form of wrestling. Trent turned back to Kipper, “Whatever, but that doesn’t explain this bullshit. Who the hell sent three dots to the data phone?”

Mike and Emyr froze in place. Arden gaped in the kitchen with Ward and Delgado.

Kipper scrambled off the couch and snatched the phone out of Trent’s hands. “How is that possible? Are we being trolled by someone?”

Ward typed something into his laptop. “Let me check something. You created a virus, right? One that ate our files?”

Trent nodded. “Yes, and then ate the files via the satellite connections when Kipper linked them. Hence, our records are obliterated.”

Delgado blinked at the advanced stuff Ward was pulling up. “Whoa, what the hell is that?”

Ward shook his head. “I don’t know, but if the virus somehow mutated and got access to the internet, then it might have evolved.”

Trent glanced over at Kipper. “Is that possible from a simple program?”

Emyr got up from the ground. “It wasn’t a simple program, though, eating our data from everywhere. Not to mention, we didn’t account for where it would go after it finished. Ward could be right that it evolved somehow, but that doesn’t explain the phone.”

Kipper backed away from Trent. “Yes, it does. Trent triggered it from this. Sure, Emyr launched the actual program, but the phone might have been read by some other system, like a camera. Maybe it assembled everything and cycled back.”

Girish looked between them. “Cycling back for what?”

Ward stopped typing and pointed at his screen. “For the next instructions. It’s gone through all the systems and erased everything, so it’s like any other computer program, just waiting for the next set of inputs.”

Kipper glanced down at the phone in his hands. “How do we answer it? With another three dots?”

Girish took the phone from Kipper’s hands and tossed it in the garbage can.

All of them stared at him in shock.

Girish shrugged. “What does it matter? If it’s already completed its job, then it’s over. There’s nothing to do about it.”

Ward looked back at his laptop. “Maybe, but it can also undo what you did if we don’t answer it.”

Delgado pointed to Ward’s screen. “Try disabling it from there. Or at least setting it loose somewhere else to live out its days.”

Trent grinned and shuffled over to Ward. “Let me try something with it.”

Ward got up from his seat at the kitchen table for Trent to sit down. He watched Trent type in many commands in rapid-fire succession.

Kipper wandered over to peer over Trent’s shoulder. “What exactly are you doing?”

“Just an idea I had. We’re gone from everywhere, but that doesn’t mean we can’t still cause havoc on a smaller scale. Remember those bank accounts I siphoned money from in order to buy this house?”

“Yeah, I do. Aren’t they closed by now?”

Trent nodded without looking up from the screen. “Probably, but there are plenty of others that people like Stefan Rourke and Damien Quinn leave untouched. What if we were to siphon monies from those types of people and spread it out into hundreds of different bank accounts over several years? We could live like kings for the rest of our lives.”

Ward shook his head. “They’d track us with something that obvious.”

Trent grinned. “True, but what if it weren’t as obvious as taking pennies from their savings via interest payments? No one looks at those numbers every single day, considering they fluctuate.”

Emyr laughed. “That’s brilliant, actually. Though are you just targeting any bank account or just those two?”

“The funny thing about terrorists and sex slavery owners is that most seem to have their accounts in the same bank. No idea why all of them are that stupid, but if I can pull this off, all of those assholes we used to follow are about to lose some of their livelihood.”

Kipper smiled. “I have another idea if that doesn’t work out. Remember that database we almost got into like three years ago? The one where it listed damn near every sex slave and hostage on earth? It figured out my access too fast for me to do any damage, but this thing could fuck it up.”

“Actually, I don’t even need to do that; I can just have it do both at once. It has evolved so much that it’s massive now and able to do trillions of calculations every nanosecond. I just need to give it something else to do while it’s siphoning the money. If I remember straight, that database was located somewhere hidden on the web. Do you remember anything else about it?”

Emyr said, “Actually, the best way to get to it was via one of those sex slave recruiting websites. You know, those creepy things with kiddy porn on them. I believe that’s how we found it.”

Trent typed in some instructions for the program to access all websites like that and to go into the backside of them to access the database. “It might take some time, but it will find it. Though in the meantime, it’s going to crash every single one of those websites and any others connected to them.”

Ward shrugged. “But they’ll repair them. This fixes nothing.”

“No, not unless they can stop our program, which isn’t likely, seeing as not even we can stop it. It’s going to obliterate them so much that they won’t even find anything left. All the files, all the text, and all the links are going to disappear. They won’t be able to fix them because the program will also monitor the website to see if anything changes.”

“I don’t understand any of this gobbledygook.” Girish rolled his eyes and headed for the door. “Whatsoever, I’m going outside for a walk.”

Trent chuckled and finished typing the instructions. “You don’t have to understand it, but it’ll make the lives of those who gave us hell a little more painful. Honestly, that’s the best part. Screw those who killed so many of our young recruits like Henny.”

Kipper glanced away, memories of Henny filling his head. The idea of Henny finally being avenged after being blown up made something inside Kipper unclench and relax for the first time in years.
