“Just making up for lost time,” she whispered, and slid on top of him, straddling his hips with her thighs. “Just making up for lost time.”
He knotted a hand in her hair, pushed her mouth down to his. “I was a fool to stay away from you for so long. I love you, Carrie.”
“I know, baby. And don’t worry. I’m never going to let you forget it.”
He did forget his name for a while, though…when she took him in, took him deep and took him to that place where she was the only thing that mattered, the only thing that was…the only thing he would ever need.
