What Kevin didn’t know is that even though Detective Wallace hadn’t been able to track down that disposable cell phone number, she had pulled Carol’s financials and discovered that indeed Carol was a regular customer at Phillip’s pharmacy all those years ago. She’d also researched enrollment records from UIC and discovered that indeed, Phillip and Kevin were in the same class at the same time.
What Kevin didn’t know was that Detective Wallace had checked Phillip’s iPhone, which had dropped out of his pocket when he kidnapped Tracy and discovered a simple calendar entry from three years ago with his address and the time Carol would be out walking the dog.
What Kevin didn’t know was that the police were pulling up in front of his house to arrest him for conspiracy to commit murder.
Kevin looked up as the doorbell rang, wondering who it was.
