Cade stood and pulled her into his arms, slamming her against his chest. He used a handful of her curls to tilt her head so that he could connect his lips with hers. As she wrapped her arms around his neck, she held him tightly, as if she never wanted to let go. As if she had finally accepted the fact that she was his to have, to hold, to cherish, to love, and to keep – for as long as they both shall live.
“Moon?” he called softly against her lips.
“Yes, babe?”
“I love you too.”
