James backed down. “I look forward to getting to know you, Hank.”

  “I’d like that.”

Jonah fought the urge to smack James on the nose, and Boothe hooted at him. “Down boy.”

“Yes, boss.” He was going to tear Hank’s ass up, remind his boy who he belonged to.

Hank gave him a cheeky grin, clearly feeling better about things. He’d have to thank James for that later.

He handed Hank a plate. “Grab you some food.”

“Are you trying to distract me?” Hank asked “I was making a new friend.”

Jonah leaned in close, growled. “Your ass is mine, boy.”

  “Yes, sir. Yours.”

“Keep that in mind. I’ll remind you when we get home.” Jonah patted Hank’s ass.

  “I hope so.”

James waved Hank over to the table where the food was, trying to court. Cute, but pointless. Hank was taken. Still, if they could be friendly, more power to them. Not many members of the pack would go against James.

“Is he really a coyote?” one of Leela’s twins asked. Leela was Seth’s mate, and she tended to have multiples. This one was one of the wee girls, maybe five.

  Jonah nodded. “He is.”

“He doesn’t look like a monster. Will he steal us in the night?”

“Why would you think that?” He ruffled her hair. “He’s not like the guys we’ve been chasing off the borders, honey. Those guys have nowhere to belong. Hank is with me.”

“He’s pack? The kitty lady, too?”

  “Yeppers. My mates. Okay?”

“Uh huh. She’s pretty. Sister! Come to the dessert table!”

She ran off, and Jonah laughed out loud, drawing a few glances. Not everyone would be so easy and he knew it, but this was a good start.

The big thing was that his Alpha approved, that he had his job, his place in the pack. No one could argue that without a face full of grr from Boothe and all of the other enforcers. He met Liv’s eye from where she sat with the other high ranking females and winked at her, so proud he could bust.

She nodded, eyes moving to Hank, checking on their boy instinctively.

Hank stood at the food table with James and Seth, laughing at something Seth was saying. Yeah. Safe and sound.

  Excellent.

“Next time, you come to me with your secrets. We’re pack. Secrets cause problems.” Boothe sounded so sure.

“You got it, Boss. I’m sorry I caused so much trouble.” That was as close as Jonah ever came to submitting to the Alpha. He knew when an apology did the most good.

“I’m sorry you felt you had to hide them. I’m glad you came clean and that they’re home where they belong.”

“Thanks.” He had to remember that all of his family was important, lovers and wolf pack. If he could do that, he might just make it.

  ****

Hank headed back with his lovers to the big cabin that was lit from within. There was a cheeriness about the whole place, just a true warmth.

He hoped that they got to stay. He wanted to. He could tell having them there made Jonah happy, and he liked Jonah’s friends. The kitchen was a dream come true.

Jonah nuzzled his nape as they walked. “James wants you, boy. You know he can’t have you, yes?”

Like he could handle another love. Shit. Two was enough. “I know, Jonah.”

“Was he being inappropriate, love?” Liv asked. “Do I need to scratch his eyes out?”

“No. No, he was very nice. Really. I like him.”

Jonah stopped him, pulling him back against that wide chest and nipping at his neck. “Just friends.”

“Just friends?” His cock filled, the sudden bite making him want to scream.

“Yep. No touching.” Jonah grabbed Hank’s cock through his shorts. “This is ours.”

“Yours.” The squeeze brought him up on tiptoe, and his head fell back on Jonah’s shoulder.

Liv stepped up in front of him to pinch his nipples, twisting them both a bit. “Yes, and it’s been too long.”

“It has. We’ve never made love in your house, Jonah.”

“In our house,” Jonah corrected. “Kiss our boy, Liv.”

“I would be happy to.” Liv kissed him like she was a marine storming a beach, her body soft and hot against him.

Hank moaned, his body on fire already. Yes. He needed more.

“Gorgeous slut. You’d let me take you, right here.” Jonah’s growl filled his ears.

“Uh huh.” He rocked his ass against Jonah’s dick, wanting anything they would give him.

“Home, Liv. Now.” Jonah’s growl was perfect, low and purely Alpha male.

Liv laughed, the sound joyous, and took his hand, running with him to Jonah’s—their—cabin.

They were going to play. They were going home. Him and Liv and Jonah. The three of them.

Against all rules, all of the pack laws, they were free.

  Together.
