The Heir - Blood Secret : The Chosen One - Secret Heir, page 9
I nodded.
“Anton!” my father roared.
Anton entered, making his way toward us.
“Francesca has informed me, she somehow healed from her attack rather quickly, is this true?”
Anton simply nodded “Yes,”
“When the breacher hurt me, I was sure I had broken my ribs. However, when my powers took over. I healed, somehow.” I explained in confusion.
“Give me your hand,” he demanded. Holding his own hand out.
Now wasn’t the time for a vision. I needed him to help me understand what was happening to me.
I could tell he wasn’t amused at me hesitating. I held my hand out for him. The fast blur of movement had me pulling my hand close to my chest and looking down only to see it was covered in blood. Anton rushed toward me but Armacey held his arm out blocking him.
“Stand down.” he demanded, refusing him to come any closer to me.
I stared at my injured hand in disbelief.
“Why did you do that?” I demanded to know. I lifted my hand to my mouth, sucking the blood that spilled from just under my thumb.
Only Armacey yanked my hand free from my mouth.
“What is wrong with you!” I hissed. Trying to pull away.
He yanked my hand closer.
I was in shock to find there was no blood or gash anymore, there was nothing. No blood in sight and no visible cut.
I grabbed my hand back inspecting the gash I had felt.
“Only vampires can heal that quickly. And werewolves too of course,” he stated.
I stared at him, absorbing his words.
“Wait, werewolves? There are actual werewolves?” I finally managed to ask. I had barely any time to adjust to magic and vampires. Adding werewolves to the mix was just mind-blowing to me.
I was sure Anton could sense I had held my breath at the shock of being told werewolves were also real.
“One thing at a time Francesca, breathe.” Anton encouraged.
Armacey stood gawking at me “You have more of me in you than I expected. The ability to heal, that wouldn’t have come from your ancestors, now I understand why you are a threat to the breachers” He said.
Armacey looked to Anton. “I trust you to keep her safe.” He said, before darting out of the room in a flash.
Dazed from Armaceys’ swift exit.
“What just happened?” I questioned.
Anton sat on the bed alongside me “It looks like you hold unnatural healing abilities, similar to our kind,”
I rolled my eyes “Apparently, I possess an ancient magic” I knew he was someone I could trust. I wasn’t willing to keep something as important as that from the one person who had my back.
His gaze locked onto mine, I didn’t feel hunted when he looked at me, it wasn’t like the breachers stare. It was warmer.
As warm as it could probably get for a vampire.
“As in, all five elements?” He asked.
“You’ve heard of it, then?”
He nodded “Nothing, can defend it. Or so I'm told”
Well, that made me feel instantly better. Not
I shrugged “Now, all I need to do is figure out how to use all my powers to the best of my ability”
Anton stood and bowed before me.
I frowned “Anton, what are you doing?” I grabbed his wrists. He raised his chin “In old times it was deemed an honor to serve by the one who held the ancient power”
I shook my head “Well, it isn’t the old times” I assured, tugging him back onto the bed.
“If you bow to me again, I might just have to kick your ass” I teased, allowing my gaze to flicker over his flawless features. He reached up and held my face in his hands, looking down to my lips. As if he could read my thoughts.
“We shouldn’t” he whispered.
I leaned forward “Shouldn’t what. Do this?” I asked, reaching for his lips before he had a chance to reply, or even contemplate bowing again.
He slowly pushed me down onto the bed, leaning over me and staring down, I didn’t care that he had red eyes or the fact he was a vampire. I felt connected to him and I knew he felt the same.
His soft facial hair brushed against my lips as he delved deeper into my mouth, swirling his tongue with mine, a low growl escaped him as he tasted me.
Anton groaned “The sweet smell of you has me....” he closed his eyes, unable to finish what he was about to say. Instead, he pulled away, ready to leap off the bed.
I grabbed his muscular arms tightly, refusing to let him go. Even though he could have easily moved away from such a human touch.
He didn’t.
He wanted to be with me as much as I wanted to be with him.
Feeling naughty and needing to see how far he would go, I turned my neck, swiping my hair out the way.
“Do it” I dared him.
“Francesca...” he warned.
“Bite me, taste me. You know you want to” I playfully teased him.
He didn’t need asking twice, his manly hands tilted my chin allowing him the room to press his lips against my throbbing neck vein, my short raspy breaths became steady.
The touch of his cold lips on my warm skin was intoxicating. The piercing burn of him biting down hard on my neck had my hands grip his arms tightly, his hard sucks forced me to scrunch my eyes shut.
He aggressively tugged at me, as ecstasy thrilled through my veins. My eyes rolled back as I enjoyed every second of him devouring what he craved from me.
Knowing the danger, I was putting myself in. “Enough!” I warned him. I knew he wouldn’t hurt me. However, the overwhelming urge to faint was consuming me. Anton released his fangs from the small puncture wounds he had created.
He pulled back and he wiped his bloodstained mouth with the back of his hand. As our eyes locked with one another, the look of regret quickly washed over his perfect features.
Guilt clawed at him for allowing the monster he sees himself to be.
“I’m sorry,” he whispered.
“Don’t be, it was foolish of me to tease you” I told him.
He leaned forward but hesitated before eventually grabbing my hands, forcing me back and pinning them above my head, kissing me once again, the taste of metallic erupted in my mouth as our tongues lashed with one another.
“I have never wanted anyone as much as I want you” he whispered in between kisses. The pain of having me yet having to keep it a secret no doubt at the risk of what Armacey would do was eating away at him.
Knowing, I would need that buzz from him once again. “I’m yours to have whenever you want,” I told him, before, he could reply to my offer, we were interrupted.
A knock at his door had him pull away and standing by the bed within a split-second. I lay where I was, knowing it was probably for the best we were interrupted. I knew how complicated it could get when a vampire falls for a human.
I only had to look at Armacey and Eliza’s love to see that.
“Enter” Anton hollered. I sat staring at the door, waiting to see who it was.
Only, I rolled my eyes once I saw who it was. It was the same female vampire that brought me the warm bagels this morning. My insides tightened from her entering, I wasn’t too sure why, but I didn’t like her. I just didn’t have a clear reason why.
She walked straight for Anton and stood by his side, and leaned toward his ear careful not to let me hear her. A streak of jealousy washed over me at how close she was to him.
“Armacey has requested us to join him,” Anton announced, he gestured towards the door, encouraging the vampire to leave, having delivered the message.
“What for?” I asked, confused as to why he would want us. He had not long left.
I waited until the vampire had left the room, before I leaped off the bed in a panic, standing to face Anton.
“Oh my god! He can read minds, do you think he knows what we just did?” I asked, unsure of the trouble I might have just caused.
Anton’s hands rested on my shoulders “Calm down, if my lord knew what I had just done, I wouldn’t be standing here, that much I know” he informed me.
I breathed a sigh of relief. Anton stepped closer to me “Do you trust me?” he asked, he was so close I could have reached up and brushed my hands through his long hair.
I didn’t speak, I offered only a nod. I was sure he didn’t need to hear the words, we had a connection that even I couldn’t understand. He made me feel indestructible whenever I was with him.
He tightly pulled me into him, my breathing became fast and erratic.
“I like that sound, it’s clear to me, you feel the same as I do about you.” Was all he said as he made me dizzy at the speed he was rushing from the room.
I could only assume he had picked up how my body reacted when he held me so close. The urge to touch him, the desire for him to bite me was overwhelming.
As we came to a halt, I released my arms from around Anton’s neck and leaned against the wall to steady myself.
Trying desperately to stop myself from being sick all over him. He had brought me from his room to a darker space within the castle, at a speed that had the room still spinning.
“It will pass in a few seconds” Anton noted, while looking amused with himself, his hands swiftly reached for my hair trying to hide his puncture marks. My cheeks blushed at his touch. I was sure they would heal at a rapid pace and that Armacey would never know his right-hand man had tasted the blood of the daughter he trusted to protect.
Armaceys' angry voice had me trying to focus.
“If you will not tell me, I will have Francesca force it out of you!” he roared, he stood staring into a gated cell. I started to walk toward Armacey and only stopped to see what was going on when I reached the cell.
I was relieved that he was distracted by someone, other than me and Anton.
The breacher that had attacked me in the hallway was staring at me, smirking as he saw me once again.
“You came back. I’m going to enjoy killing you this time” he laughed wiping the blood that trickled from his lips.
He looked to have been tortured.
Who knew vampires could bleed so much.
His smirk had anger building within me. My jaw clenched tightly and my body began pulsating. The energy surge that allowed me to feel indestructible was quickly pushing through.
I stood staring at him with a cold gaze.
“Open the gate” I ordered, through gritted teeth.
“Francesca!” Anton warned, he was concerned but I needed to get everything I possibly could from this creature and I was going to have fun doing it.
I refused to take my eyes off the breacher.
“Open! The god damn gate!” My tone spoke volumes.
Armacey obliged me in my request standing by my side, standing guard.
The breacher lunged for me, only to be yanked back by the shackles that had him restricted in his movements.
“You’re an abomination, I should have killed you back in the woods” his words should have shaken me to my core, only it drove me to seek out the truth. My birth mother was a powerful seer, with centuries of magic behind her and my father is the leader of the vampires.
“Why didn’t you?” I blurted out.
He said nothing, so I leaned closer just so he could hear my words “Look around dickface. Seems to me that you are the abomination” My hands grabbed him so tight, he flinched, unsure of what I was capable of. I embraced the energy rush that raged through me and closed my eyes allowing the vision to flow through me.
My birth mother Eliza flashed through my slideshow of visions. Followed by vampires that stood along one another, attacking breachers that had gained access to the castle. Their black eyes laced with nothing but hatred for Armacey’s army. The breachers were fighting against pure vampires, hoping to gain power. I stood by a stranger. I had no clue as to who he was. I only sensed power similar, if not greater than mine. He held his hand up, allowing me to have the connection I need to link to my visions. He didn’t fight back or push me away, instead, he told me who he was followed by more visions, allowing me to see what will happen.
I pulled back allowing the vision to disappear, and I stood standing next to Armacey.
“What did you see? Will you be safe from future threats?” he asked, concerned for my safety.
“I will be” I answered back. Somehow my visions had a touch of the past. Every vision I had, since touching Armacey’s hands, always had Eliza within them. It was almost like a little reminder of my birth mother as I was rushed upon with future threats. As if Eliza was there guiding me through my visions.
I kneeled down in front of the breacher.
He smirked at me, as if he had won the fight that was yet to take place. I smirked back needing him to know I was way ahead of him at knowing how it all unfolds.
“You discovered my existence, but did you know of your own child? Your son to be precise” I asked. I could tell with the dazed look of bewilderment on his face, he had no idea what I was talking about. For all he knew, I could be lying but the vision was the clearest by far, I knew everything that was coming.
Disgusted by my claims “I have no son!” he hissed.
I raised my eyebrow “Oh, you do, only he was kept hidden from you,” I had joy in telling him.
“How does it make you feel, to know your son, will be the one by my side as we bring the breachers to their demise?” The sound of shocked gasps that saturated the dusty dungeon air, alerted me to Anton and Armacey being shocked at hearing what I had said.
I released a low sinister chuckle having gotten one up on the ruthless creature. My hand rested on his chest as I tapped into my powers, hoping if it worked for me to see my parents, then it could work to haunt him with his past.
“This is for Eliza,” I whispered harshly.
I had hoped he would have had something to say. But he stayed silent, staring at me with dark, cold heartless eyes.
I never knew Eliza, to me she was a stranger, yet I was able to feel how much she loved me through my visions.
I placed my other hand firmly on him, closing my eyes, and calming my mind.
“Spirts come forth, victims of his past join me,” the words slipped out without thought.
I had an overwhelming sense we weren’t alone in this dungeon, it had got a little overcrowded with spirits. A cold gust of wind rushed throughout the room, as I called upon every one of his victims, that he had killed in all the years he walked this earth.
I opened my eyes in time to see the souls of his innocent victims gather all around me. All the ghosts from his past, from all walks of life, reached down toward him as if trying to touch him, forcing him to squirm and scream so violently, only his loud curdling screams didn’t faze me. Instead, it made me apply more pressure on his chest, forcing unimaginable pain and causing him a slow and painful death.
I stared at him with a hatred look.
“Now you know, what it feels like to die!” I told him. He had suffered death once before only this time there was no immortally to gain back. Only darkness and the victims from his past would be waiting for him.
I watched him writhing in pain, his eyes scrunched up in agony. Yet, all I could do was smile smugly. I felt his body go from ice cold to as hot as a clothing iron.
Slowly, the heat started moving around my body, as the tears poured down me like a waterfall.
I also had to endure the visions, from all of his victim’s murders in his mind during his last moments, forced to watch them in a painful slideshow. I looked hard into his eyes as his chest began to crumble into ash, slowly moving up to his neck and head.
I took my hands off of him and laughed hysterically as I watched this malicious man’s head explode like a grenade.
It was as if his victims were having the last laugh, communicating through me.
I wasn’t a killer, until this very moment. I’d never wanted to hurt anyone before, but I cherished every second of ridding the earth of this heartless arrogant barbarian. I felt at peace knowing he would never be able to hurt anyone ever again.

THE HEIR - BLOOD SECRET
Chapter seven
I slumped onto the cold ground, my eyes anchored on the corpse that was slowly burning from the flames I had caused. Turns out, too much pain summoned from unrested souls causes combustion.
Who knew?
There was no fear or regret in what I had done, to see the breacher die in such a brutal manner simply left a sense of calmness within me.
“For you, Eliza,” I whispered, knowing somehow, she would know what I had done. I did for her. A sense of satisfaction came over me at knowing I had put an end to one creature that the world could do without.
Not taking my eyes off the ashes that were gathering from the bastards’ demise “Did you know he was the breacher that killed Eliza?” I asked Armacey.
He didn’t answer my question, but the fact he allowed me so close to the monster that wanted to kill me not so long ago, told me he had known.
Why else would he let me within an inch of him? I’m sure he knew, I would use my powers to get revenge.
Refusing to answer my question, he crouched to my level “Come, my child. You need rest, using your magic comes at a heavy price.” He said. I decided against arguing with him, I was willing to put my questions aside for the time being.
I could tell by my tired and aching body; my energy had taken a hard beating. It took everything I had just to keep my eyes open.
Anton scooped me up and I melted into his tight embrace, wrapping my arms around his neck.
“She has to regain her strength,” Armacey voiced worryingly. Anton didn’t hesitate, he left only nodding to his elder, holding me tighter as he took us to his room faster than he had taken me to the breacher.
My eyelids were heavy, and I tried my best to fight the exhaustion. I attempted to stay awake, but it was no good. I couldn’t even manage to string a logical sentence together. Anton gently laid me down on his bed and pulled the sheets over me in an attempt to keep me warm, as my body began to shake uncontrollably. I wasn’t sure if it was from using so much of my powers or from exhaustion. Perhaps, a mixture of both.
